To put it simply, this area will serve as a neutral location where characters can interact with one another in a setting that generally doesn't have high, galaxy-spanning stakes. The aim of this forum is to also provide a setting where posts can come with more freedom and be less encumbered by details of fleet movements and squads of NPCs. Finally, and in today's landscape of Star Wars fandom that is continuously moving away from the Expanded Universe, this forum will also serve as a place where new members can come and post almost immediately in a setting that should be familiar to almost any Star Wars fan.
