"He must be if you vouch for him, Commander", Doren began, careful eyeing the unfamiliar face sitting across the way, "However, I'll reserve my judgments until I've heard what our hopeful recruit has to say for himself". Lacing his gloved fingers together, Vassyl's gaze narrowed as he focused the host of his attention on Colher, and continued, "The Imperial military is no small commitment Mr. Harheats, it demands time, discipline, and above all- loyalty. Once you start down this path, you will be expected to follow its course to the end. Despite the hardships, and the decisions you will have to make at any moment, you must maintain your dedication, and understand that you are one cog in an exceptional large machine". There was no hint of deceit or overt intimidation in the Captain's voice. His message was clear, and his intentions, for his part, were modest. Leaning back some in his seat, Doren indulged a small pause, and then inquired, "Tell me, in what capacity do you wish to serve our great Empire?".

''How I would like to serve the Empire, Sir'' Colher began. ''I have experience leading a small fleet so the navy is a place I could be of much use to the Empire, but I also have experience governing city's and villages back at my home planet so I could maybe also be of use in the Imperial government'' Colher said to the captain. ''But one more thing Sir you said the Empire is much about loyalty and dedication I can tell you I am loyal and dedicated to the Empire and I hope I can be of service to the Empire Sir'' Colher finished. He was nervously awaiting the captain's response.

A sly grin sprouted across Doren's face at the mention of the navy, and after digesting Colher response he answered back, "A mariner eh? And a seasoned one it seems: that much I can certainly respect". Vassyl straightened up some, and continued, "Sadly I'm in no place to offer you employment in our civil system, by virtue of the fact it is not a placement I have the power to bestow". The Captains opened his hands, and lay them flat upon the table, and added, "However, a man of your purported talents is always welcome in the Imperial Fleet". At this time, Doren's eyes floated over to the Rhoden, "Since you seem to have taken a liking to Mister Harheats, Commander, perhaps he ought to serve as your temporary naval advisor", Vassyl proposed, before adding with a chuckle, "It wouldn't hurt to have someone watching over you in my stead". The Captain expression hardened almost immediately thereafter, as he readdressed the older gentlemen, "I can offer you a three-week accelerated training regiment Mister Harheats. The rigors will be great, though if your performance meets the bar, I see no issue in granting you the rank of ensign, and an adjutant post aboard the Hydra".

Rhoden smiled at the notion that he would be watched over, but the idea of having Colher aboard was not altogether undesirable. He was indeed older, and questionably capable compared to the elite team aboard the Hydra, but even if he wasn't as good as his record implied he could be used in certain operations--as had just been proven.

"I believe he could be of use on the Hydra, and I've no doubt he'll be useful in further operations." Rhoden said. "Not to mention some on the job training for him, being with Inferno is a good way to learn--or to die."

"I would be honoured to prove my worth by serving under your command Commander Carbine" Colher said to the Commander. "When will I start with this new assignment Commander? Asked Colher, inside he was very happy he would soon have a rank in the Imperial navy because he was confident that he would reach the bar as the Captain had put it.

"Then I'd say we're just about done here", Vassyl concluded, pulling up a set of holodocuments for Colher to digitally sign. "Once you've completed this form Mister Harheats, seek out Shuttle AA-252 in the west hangar", Doren started anew and stood up, "You will be expected aboard within the hour, and will embark thereafter for the Rowan Heavy Weapons and Training Facility on Balmorra: Don't be late". Offering a crisp salute to his battle-hardened compatriot, the Captain gave his farewells, "Until next time Commander: I expect to hear good things about this new ward of yours". Vassyl then leveled his scrutinizing gaze on Colher one last time, before his expression betrayed another slight grin, "Best of luck Mister Harheats, I dare say you'll need it". Doren presented one final salute aimed at the aspiring recruit, before his spun about where he stood, and made for the nearest exit. Time would tell what would become of this older newcomer; hopefully, that time would prove to be more generous than not.

OOC: That's it for me: best of luck my friend, I look forward to your formal induction into the system!

Rhoden waited until the door slid closed before he spoke again, "Welcome, then, to Task Force Inferno." Rhoden said. "I will follow you to Balmorra, and following your initial training we'll head out to my facility where I'll run you up on skills I want you to have." he said, smiling.

"Now," he said, standing and clapping a hand on the man's shoulder "Once you're in Inferno, the Number One rule's: Don't Get Shot. You're not down for infantry duty, but with our particular assignments there's really not much difference." Rhoden exited the room with Colher and began walking towards the hangar.

''I will try not to get shot, Sir'' Colher said as the two reached the ship. as they entered the ship their journey to Balmorra. ''Sir what will my training be like on Balmorra and how long will it take to complete my training?'' Colher asked to the Commander.

"You'll be put through an accelerated course to bring you up to standards on military discipline, rules and regulations, things like that. You'll also be instructed on how to operate equipment, among a few other things." Rhoden said, "But once that's done you'll be learning some things on the Hydra. Combat training will be a regular occurrence, we'll put you through some flight simulators too. Mostly, we'll make it up as we go along."

OOC: We can continue discussions and the like or you can spend your next post going through/skipping over your three weeks. Up to you.

Once the ship arrived on Balmorra in the commander went to his own duties. There was an Imperial instructor waiting for Colher just outside the docking bay. ''I am Instructor Grosky'' the Instructor said while walking towards Colher. ''I am here to make sure you pass your tests here and that you are ready to serve on the Hydra after this. Follow me'' the Instructor said. They began walking towards the academy and the barracks. Once they arrived Grosky showed Colher his room and his new clothes. ''You are now officialy a Cadet Mr.Harheat'' Grosky paused inspecting the room. ''Your first course will be tommorow on 0600, you will be brought op to speed on Imperial matters in your first 3 days here after that you will have a week and a half of Military train and after that you will have a week of the basics of flying a tie-fighter just the basics not that you will need it much if you become a officer but you will get it just in case. Now rest and don't be late tommorow.'' Grosky said as he left the room. Things are proceeding well for now Colher thought as he changed his clothes and went to bed. The next morning Colher was exactly on 0600 at the right location for his course that will bring him up to speed with the current state of the galaxy. The course was givin by Grosky and he was the only one in the class room. The first 3 days went mostly like this but on the forth day of his 3 week study at the academy he arrived as usual on time today was going to be his first day of his Military tactics and combat training. Colher was suprised when not only Inspector Grosky was waiting for him but also Commander Carbine, Colher didn't knew what the Commander was doing here but he walked towards them to see what the Commander was doing here.
