Dreams and Revenge
~LOCATION: Gordion Reach/Moraband/Valley of the Dark Lords~
~PLACE: Sith Academy~
Having had come back from her trip with Warvanus not long ago, Kita had decided to roam Darth Tormentous citadel and homeworld of Moraband. Having of heard about the Sith academy, the young blonde sith apprentice had decided on checking out this ancient school. She was free to roam at her leisure and wanted to see exactly where she would have been, had it not been for Darth Tormentous taking her in under his wing.
Approaching the widened staircase outside the barren wasteland, she stood at the base, her deep blue gaze looked up to take in the mass size of the giant pyramid like structure. It was made of stone and durasteel...one of the metals the War-Bringer had mentioned to her on the metals durability. The academy looked ancient...but in a good way. It was obviously holding up over the centuries it had been there. She had done some research on this school. And found it had founded by Sith Lord Exur Kun back in 3996 BBY. It had many corridors and levels. Rooms of all sorts including a library, place for training, lectures and meditation. However, it also held darker chambers within the academy. Things Kita had wished she didn't know about as she entered through the giant doors.
Her grey heels clicked onto the stone floor as she walked past the servants and staff who ran and upkept the academy, each one bowing in respect and fear of the Sith Lords apprentice. "Nope. Still awkward." she thought quietly to herself not giving them much attention to it as she stopped abruptly in the hallway. She looked in to find a group of force sensitives, known as hopefuls to be starting the academy. But first they needed to gain admittance to the academy. And there was only one way to prove that they were worthy. To fight.
Apparently she had heard it wasn't uncommon for new recruits with the potential to become Sith would die in battle against their peers and teachers for admittance half the time. It was the way of the Sith. As her master always mentioned although in his own words, The worthy or strong survive while the weak deserve to die. She didn't agree with that however. To Kita the weak could also become the strongest competitor if given the chance to prove themselves. But she wouldn't dare say that to her Master. Thankfully Kita hadn't needed to go through this kind of test to be accepted as a Sith right away. She had already been through her own trials of hardship.
She watched silently as the instructor of the group began going over what they were expected to do for their acceptance into the academy to train in the ways of the Sith. Observing each person, there was one that stuck out from the rest. Her dark black hair and red eyes caught Kita's attention among the rest of the hopefuls. Quietly she entered the room and stood up against the wall in the back to watch what it was she would do...

Re: Dreams and Revenge
“The twelve of you have somehow managed to pass the preliminary exams and accomplished your basic studies to the point where you have all been selected to undertake training as Hopefuls.” The angry voice of the Taskmaster spoke almost arbitrarily to his students. He didn’t expect many - or perhaps any of these sorry excuses for potential trainees to survive long much less complete their training that they would be chosen as an Acolyte of a Sith Warrior. He walked in front of the assembled few and glared at each one of them equally. “Each of you will be tried and tested to your limits and you will be taught how to break them and go beyond. Make no mistake, this is the only chance you will have of becoming Sith. Should you fail - your reward is death.”
He stopped and stared at one of the Hopefuls, she had black hair and red eyes. He looked her up and down, unsatisfied. Moving back to the middle of the group he turned back to the students and finished his initiation speech. “I am S’kar. Taskmaster. I will be overseeing your efforts here and ensuring that the handful that passes these tests are none but the best and brightest.”
He turned around and began walking away. “Follow, Hopefuls. Your first test begins now.” For some of them they had traveled long from other worlds to get here but S’kar was unmoved and he was putting them through their paces right then and there. He led the group through a vast maze within the Academy until they finally reached a sparring chamber. Weapons were on the wall and a small circular ring in the middle marked out by simple chalk. Blood stains were all around the ring - both surrounding it and within it. The Taskmaster lined up the Hopefuls and eyed each one of them.
“Now, you must show your dedication and that there is no going back. You must show us that you have a killer’s instinct and are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.” He pointed to a weapon rack. “You will not use any of these.” He produced an old rusty knife, the blade was dull and the handle was rotten. “You,” he pointed at a Devaronian, “into the ring.”
He walked in front of the Hopefuls and finally stopped in front of a Trandoshan. “You, join him.”
The pair walked into the ring and S’kar approached. “Only one of you may exit this ring.” He tossed the knife into the ring.
The two Hopefuls were shocked at first but the Trandoshan was the one that didn’t hesitate and he leaped onto the knife bringing it up to cut at the Devaronian’s face but the alien dodged backwards and punched the lizard man in the jaw staggering him backwards. The Devaronian attacked and they both began struggling over the knife. The Trandoshan used its vicious looking jaws to latch onto the Devarionian’s shoulder and the alien elicited a pained cry as blood ran freely.
Another cry of pain welled up and the Trandoshan rolled away - holding his gut. The Devaronian had managed to steal away the knife and had sank it into the Trandoshan. The lizard man was in immense pain as it tried to draw the knife from its stomach but the Devaronian jumped on him and shoved the knife deeper. Again the Trandoshan cried out but bit the Devaronian again, this time it managed to bit the throat of the Devaronian - it was already too late.
The Devarionian’s neck was ripped into ruins and sprayed the Trandoshan down with its life blood. The Devarionian fell backwards and died a very painful and slow death in an expanding pool of its own crimson fluid. S’kar was yet again unmoved as he summoned a pair of droids. One droid took the still writhing corpse to dump it somewhere while the other wrenched the knife out of the lizard’s gut, handed it to S’kar and began showing the Trandoshan medical attention.
S’kar turned to the other Hopefuls. “Well then, that was exactly the ruthless tenacity that I expect out of all of you. It is essential that you give everything you have because there are no second chances. Now,” he lifted the knife up to show the Hopefuls the tool of their demise. “You.” He pointed to a huge Gran, a three eyed alien with a massive build - an extremely capable specimen and perhaps one that S’kar was eyeing for advancement. He peered through the group until finally he arrived once again in front of the girl with the black hair and red eyes. “You. Into the ring.”
Again once they were both within the circle he tossed the knife into the ring.

Re: Dreams and Revenge
The white girl with red eyes and black hair stayed quiet as she hear the TaskMaster, for sure she was with fear, she watched the two aliens fighting for their lifes and at the same time fighting to stay alive. This makes her anxious about her time to do it, she wished that she wasnt the next to do it, she walked back a bit when the alien's neck got cut off making it bleed, "he died for sure", thats what she thought at the moment. Her head got full of thoughts, but she came back to the real life when the huge alien got called to the ring.
For sure she didnt wanted to fight this tree eyed huge thing, she felt nervous as the men who was comanding the people to get in the ring passed his eye in each one there, it sudendtly stoped on the black haired girl.. "he chosed me.." she thought nervously looking at the alien while the taskmaster talked to Alves come up to the ring, she didnt hesitated, she has to be brave now, her life was in this deadly test now.
She kept glaring at the huge alien waiting for the moment to jump into the knife and take it, when the knife got tossed into the ring, she ran up to it, but the alien took it first, he in a fast way got up and started to try to stab Alves Dream, she kept dodging it until it made a cut in her arm, she let out a "tsk" of pain out of her mouth, but she thought fast, she grabbed the knife blade, cutting a bit her finger and she bumped her elbow in the midle of his arm making him drop the knife, she now grabbed the knife in her right hand and jumped in the alien's back, in a fast way she stick the knife on the alien neck and walk away to the side of the ring in pain. Her arm and hands were bleeding.

Re: Dreams and Revenge
Quietly she followed after the group was a bit aways leading them to through the maze where the ring was. She had never seen anything like it before. The cage made her think of the ones in the spire prison...but worse. Each being treated as if they were all animals, one by one by being put into a cage to fight to the death. At least they weren't sent to do that in the prison. Instead everyone was just tortured and or enslaved until they died. Either that or commit suicide to escape.
If Kita could rid of there system in how to choose hopefuls, she would have. Even the weak had their uses instead of death. Of course, that wasn't a Sith way of thinking. This was Kita's way of thinking. Instead of death being the punishment for failure, they could have been saved to train harder and been put to use being sent out in battle instead. However suggesting that to her Master would have not turned out well. "Can't even risk talking about it." It wasn't the Sith way...but it had potential to making the Sith stronger by also doubling their numbers.
Kita watched as the two Aliens were sent into the ring to fight for acceptance into the academy. Blood having already been drawn shortly after they were given the rusted old knives. The young Sith wasn't surprised if they enjoyed the feel of death as it overtook the room. The very person's life force being whisked away, dimming in mere seconds into the unknown void known as death. No. It was something she was gonna have to get used too. This was now her reality.
Her blue eyes went wide as the taskmaster pointed out a large 3 eyed alien and then the girl she had her eyes on. The odds didn't look good in her favor. This alien was so much bigger then she. "Can she even fight him?" Kita had hoped she could. She could tell she was afraid. Who wouldn't be?
As she entered the ring holding back whatever fear she had, Kita knew from the look on the girls face that she was serious enough to fight for the Sith. Unsure whether she was happy or sad about this revelation, she waited to see what she brought into the ring.
Seconds, it had been seconds for the girl to be unarmed and seemingly beaten to the knife. However, she was quick and smart. To think of even attempting to knock the knife out of her opponents hand the way she did caught Kita's attention. Despite the brutality of it all, Kita found herself smiling. "I wonder if Lord Tormentous would mind me bringing her in for training..."
Shortly after the girl managed to leap onto the aliens back and stab him mercilessly in the neck, Kita decided to walk over to the TaskMaster as she began walking out of the ring. Her blue gaze noticing she had clearly harmed herself in the process of the battle.
She tapped on his back to gain his attention. "Excuse me, S'kar is it?" She tilted her head slightly with a small smile on her face, long blonde hair falling down the side of her right shoulder. "I'd like to take that girl," she glanced over at Alves before looking back at the TaskMaster. "With me from the academy to meet my Master, Darth Tormentous."

Re: Dreams and Revenge
The Taskmaster S’kar smiled with a vile nefarious notion behind his actions as there was no way the girl could have bested his choice pupil who he would have surely sent to the Sith Lords as a magnificent specimen for training. It would take a good eight to ten or even twelve months of training in order for these Hopefuls to be ready for a Master but S’kar had a feeling that the Gran would go early - possibly in three months! What an impressive turn around that would be.
So confident in his choice did he turn his back on the ring and he was already choosing his next fighting pair. The Gran would surely win this fight and crush the weak looking and pathetic girl. The battle started and S’kar continued to disregard it as he was so certain of the girl’s failure. Only moments later the fight was finished and S’kar barked orders to the droids. “Get the girl’s corpse out of the ring and set up anoth….” His voice chopped off into silence as he turned around and saw the girl standing over the Gran who was dead before he’d hit the ground - her knife incision was so precise it had stabbed into the spinal column and severed the big alien’s existence in an instant.
S’kar was speechless and his mouth was gaped open in utter disbelief. “Wait. You!?” He looked for someone else that had interfered with the fight and killed the Gran for her. “Impossible.”
Then his eyes narrowed. The Gran was going to be his ticket to a promotion and now this upstart had ruined everything. The next thought S’kar had was to revenge kill this pithy little cuss. He motioned to his droid and the droid armed itself - a wrist mounted double barrel blaster. This menace would pay for not dying like he’d planned her to do. How dare she hide her apparent skills and trick the Taskmaster into this situation. She would pay with her life and S’kar would save face here.
Before he could give the signal to gun the girl down though he caught word from behind him and a tap to his shoulder. How dare a trainee think to touch him much less speak to him!. “You arrogant piece of gutter trash! I’ll have both your hands for interrupting my evaluation of the rest of your class…”
He turned around to backhand the trainee - he froze.
The color drained from his face.
His words sputtered.
It was the Apprentice of the Dark Lord of the Sith himself - Kita Ikari. S’kar dropped to one knee and dipped his head in supplication. “My Lady, forgive me. I had no idea you had even entered these grounds.” Her next words sank into his gullet with all the bitterness his heart held within it. He wanted Alves dead - not for her to be removed from his oversight and trained in the ways of the Sith! His mind raced for an excuse - any excuse to keep her there.
“My Ladies’ word shall be done. However - may I suggest another Hopeful - the Trandoshan a moment ago would be far superior to your purposes. This,” He pointed haphazardly to the girl, “pathetic girl is not worth your time. Her victory over the Gran was luck at best. I am convinced she cheated.”

Alves Dream walked away from the ring, her arm in pain and her left hand figers were pure blood, she has gone to the right place were she got telled to be, and she standed there, her posture: good, she needed to forget the pain on her body, if she looks more to the blood it was possible that the pain hits more.
She watched Kita walking to the Taskmaster's S'kar side and touching him to pay his attention, she got surprised when he literally screamed with the blonde girl and he sudently stoped and bowed down in respect to Kita, she didnt really reminded the blonde girl, the girl with black hair gasped in her thoughts when S'kar pointed to her in a haphazardly way to her way, she felt a little ashamed because she couldnt hear so well, she just standed there in silence

Re: Dreams and Revenge
Hearing the TaskMaster's words of removing the girls corpse, Kita knew that this guy S'kar was obviously expecting this girl dead in the ring. "He shouldn't assume..." She still remained polite however as she approached him, even though he didn't deserve it. It was clear when Kita started talking about the girl as she tapped on the TaskMakers shoulder, that she was not asking permission to take her.
It had taken the young Sith apprentice by surprise as S'kar turned to smack her for her interference. Of course she didn't expect anything less from people working for the sith. She didn't flinch however as most might have expected. Kita knew what would happen if anyone dared lift a hand against her. So in a way she had immunity here. And she took advantage of it.
“You arrogant piece of gutter trash! I’ll have both your hands for interrupting my evaluation of the rest of your class…”
She wasn't pleased as he spoke to her. Honestly it made her think of the guards in the spire prison, which in turn only angered her. Kita had many times wanted to fight them for what they did, but was unable too due to the chains and other restraints put on her. Now she didn't have that holding her back if she so wished to fight back. Perhaps Kita had lost her mind more then she realized back in that prison..
She cocked a brow at him as he turned ashy pale and knelt low on the ground in front of her. Head lowered. She smiled slightly to herself. "Ok, maybe now i can get used to this submissive thing on bowing..."
“My Lady, forgive me. I had no idea you had even entered these grounds.”
Crossing her arms, she stared down unamused at the Taskmaster. "Well if you were paying attention to what was going on around you, you may have noticed my presence instead of wishing this girls demise. And as for smacking a trainee...well i understand the ways of the academy and the sith, but you really should be more cautious who your turning a hand too. Your just fortunate it hadn't been my master. For he would have killed you. No doubt about that."
His next words brought without a doubt anger to the surface. But she was going to play it out in a way she never would have thought possible for herself. Always quiet, holding back her own thoughts for most of her life, she was going to stand up for herself and speak.
“My Lady’ word shall be done. However - may I suggest another Hopeful - the Trandoshan a moment ago would be far superior to your purposes. This, pathetic girl is not worth your time. Her victory over the Gran was luck at best. I am convinced she cheated.”
She shook her head and glared at S'kar before turning her bright blue gaze over to Alves. She smiled and gestured for her to come over. Meanwhile Kita took care of the TaskMaster, turning her attention back to him, she made it very well known she was not happy with his view on this girl. "Pathetic?!? Cheated?!?" Her voice no more held the warmth of politeness in it. Instead it came off as cold as ice, much like the blizzard winds back on Vorpa'ya where she spent her first survival training with Jacobi. Alves made Kita think of herself in ways. She wasn't going to let this guy kill her.
Tormentous's new apprentice uncharacteristically grabbed S'kar by the front of his shirt and pulled him off the ground to face her. This was now personal. "Now listen here," she narrowed her eyes at him as she tightened her grip and pulled him to her. "I may have seen alot of things since I started here training with my Master, and I might not be the most powerful Sith on this forsaken planet or even in the galaxy. But I know a potential Sith warrior and fighter when I see one." She glanced over at Alves briefly before turning her attention back to the TaskMaster. "I don't want your Trandoshan. I want this girl." Pulling out her pistol she kept on hand, she pulled it out and aimed it point blank at his forhead. She continued to glare at him, a scowl on her face as a click was heard, loading the revolver with another bullet if he so as much denied her words.
It was rather dark for Kita to act this way. But she wasn't going to see this girl die needlessly when her talents could be used for her master and the sith. "Do I make myself clear?"

Re: Dreams and Revenge
Dejected with his public shaming, S’kar, experienced Taskmaster of the Sith Academy was humbled by a young woman. He could stand this very little and his pride tore at him to fight back though he did no such thing and as she scruffed his collar he did not fight it. As she chewed him out he continued to sit there in silence. It was no use - this Hopeful had just been rescued by the Emperor’s Chosen. S’kar would not well forget this day. Maybe not today or tomorrow - S’kar would have his revenge.
His forehead furrowed with the pistol’s barrel settled there. He had to make his choice right then and there. Acquiesce or die. There was only one choice to be made. “Of course, forgive me. May he Hopeful prosper under your tutelage my Lady. If there is anything more I can do please do not hesitate.”
Just like that Alves was permitted her freedom from the Taskmasters of the Academy. Typically the trainees were less than slaves here and they had to prove themselves every single day. Had any of them the good fortune to survive then they would be quite fitting for their future roles as Sith Warriors. Though there were some on rare occasions that were sought out by the Lords of the Sith and seen for their potential. They were taken up and trained and most of these died off from the severe training they were pushed through. Those that survived all this became the most promising and deadly Sith in all the galaxy.
Did Alves Dream have what it takes? The trials she would undertake would see to that.
As for S’kar, he would remain to Kita’s will and if it pleased the Apprentice of the Dark One then he would resume his duties at once.

Re: Dreams and Revenge
Alves Dream watched the two talking to each other, S'kar didnt get up, he stayed on his knees, she still didnt remember kita, was she that important to everyone here? She looked to the sides and caught the sight of the diferent races just standing there and whispering to each other about what was happening, she looked towards the two and sighed creating braveness to go into there
She somehow felt that she needed to go into there because theire literally talking about her, the black haired girl needed to know it, so she ignored all the people there and walked to Kita direction, she standed behind the blonde girl, she was kinda with fear of being yelled at, she touched the girl shoulder and standed still, waiting a bit, than she said "i saw S'kar pointing at me so i thought that one of you two needed to talk to me.." Alves was completly with shame of talking to someone that -seemed- important to everyone

“Of course, forgive me. May the Hopeful prosper under your tutelage my Lady. If there is anything more I can do please do not hesitate.”
Kita smiled brightly unconcerned about the whispers within the room as she met S'kar's gaze. "Thank you. I appreciate that." She replied once again happily as she lowered her pistol and put the safety lock on before placing it in her holster. She let go of the TaskMasters shirt and was surprised to feel a tapping on her shoulder. "Wait? This is seeming familiar..." She turned to see the black haired girl looking terribly frightened. Kita started to wonder if maybe Alves was scared of her or of S'kar. Of course she was the least to worry about within the Sith. So why would she? "Because your a Sith lords apprentice..." she thought.
"I saw S'kar pointing at me so i thought that one of you two needed to talk to me.."
Instead of turning her back to S'kar, she stepped back a few steps expecting him to stay until he was dismissed. She wasn't going to cause a further scene for the TaskMaster in front of the potential pupils of the academy. However, the young Sith apprentice hadn't realized the danger to this recent sudden outburst upon the TaskMaster. She had unknowingly made a enemy. "Yes. I was just telling the TaskMaster here," She glanced at S'kar before resting her blue gaze back on the young hopeful. "That I was going to take you with me to train within the ranks of the Sith." She replied casually. "Of course I will have to talk to my Master about it...but I think you have potential." She added.
Kita was indeed impressed with the young girl. And perhaps having someone by her side so to speak would have its advantages. Not only is she saving this girls life from rotting away in the academy with little to no chance of surviving, but to suddenly have a better chance alongside her with the Dark Lord himself. "My Master is the Dark Lord Tormentous. And I am his apprentice."
She glanced at the TaskMaster as she let the words sink in to the girls mind. "I believe I'm ok now S'kar. You are dismissed to resume your duties. I will however take you up on that offer if im in need of anything in the future." Watching as he left and out of earshot, she looked back at the hopeful. "What's your name?"
