Tatooine Blues
Re: Tatooine Blues
Ooc: force mask is a power not actually wearing a mask, don't be fooled by the sig. She's not wearing a mask, think lulu ffx.
Ic: Another man walked in to sit by a woman, something was off about him. 'Where have I seen him?' She thought. His face was familiar to her, yet she couldn't place it. Was it just chance that his face was familiar to her? No nothing was chance with her. Kota got up to move towards him, she wanted a better look at him. She moved next to him, just to attempt to look at him.
When she did get a better view of him she still couldn't place him, but her mind told her she knew him. "How do I know you?" She asked him. Kota was bold, but she didn't fear him or anyone. The age on her face didn't really show she still looked as she once did other than the slight silver in her once black hair. It bothered her that she didn't remember where she knew him.

(Oh, alright, tried to read about it, but I guess I got the wrong info! So it's just like a face?)
Catori was very surprised when the Jedi came forth and began to talk to her. Questions? But why? Could he be asking her questions to see if she was sensitive to the Force? Catori had read that Jedis did that when they could feel another person being sensitive to the Force. But that probably wasn't it... Wouldn't Catori know? She leaned back into the chair, tilted her head that was caring a straight, cold pokerface. She had felt a short joy when spotting the Jedi, but now she was just suspicious and had no hope... well almost no hope. The dark green eyes that looked like leaves from spring, looked down from the Jedi's face to the beverage, both her hands grasping it:
,,I guess, but why? I have done nothing wrong?"
A snarky answer but nonetheless an answer. She knew it might not have been necessary to be suspicious, as Jedis did not concern themselves with the petty crimes that her father and herself had been involved in -Her merely boarding ships she wasn't supposed to.
Suddenly the woman she had studied earlier came up to them and asked the Jedi if she knew him. Catori raised an eyebrow. That was pretty strange. Were they enemies, old childhood friend, some sort of business associates? Catori finished the beverage and looked away from the Jedi and the woman, again eyeing the man and the droid... did the woman know them as well? I guess she knew everyone, unlike Catori. It would be a lucky coincidence if she met friends here... most people never got to leave Tatooine unless they were a part of a gang, pirates or whatever... Jobs that demanded stealing from other planets and ships in the galaxy.

"I guess, but why? I have done nothing wrong?" The girl with the green eyes said to him.
"Wrong is subjective, but it's not an interrogation. Would you entertain my curiosity for a while? I think we could both gain something from the talk." He said quietly, calmly, almost like a spell off of his tongue to eradicate any tension in the room.
Yet something broke that clarity, someone rather. Though Jarak would perhaps refer to her as the former. Where she had trouble placing his face in her past memories, Jarak had no such trouble finding hers. The woman of the Chiss, as he recalled. He knew her name, most Alliance personnel did, but then again, Grand Inquisitor isn't exactly a humble low-key position. He did wonder what had transpired for her to switch sides to the Imperials. Perhaps she was just beaten and desired peace, at least for herself. Jarak could relate to that at least, either way, he was in no place to judge her decision, yet here she was, on Coruscant of all places. An enigma of Force users, chaotic and unique, but maybe that was just a bit too far. This is Alliance space, and she would be a high target. But why didn't he feel her presence here? He looked over her face and saw no sickness, no strain, zero signs of forced severance. No, she was doing this on purpose. Not a skill the Jedi delved in often, but he had heard of it and judging by his memory of her last time, she was clearly proficient at hiding her connection to the force, yet chose not to hide her face?
"Bold of you to walk around Coruscant so overtly, but you and I have nothing to talk about." He said, leaving no secret that he knew her new affiliation. Though as he did not know as to why she'd joined the Imperials, he left it at that, instead, giving her the chance to leave before others showed up.
He looked to the girl with the Green eyes and the unspoken questions which ran through her thoughts. "I see I'm not the only one with questions. What is your name? What brings you to Coruscant?" Jarak asked, curiously.

Catori nodded slowly, not using her velvet-like, rusty voice. He could ask her, but she was not sure if she could answer. Catori didn't really think that highly of herself. She looked back at the Jedi and the woman, noticing that the Jedi apparently did not wish the woman to join their conversation. She raised an eyebrow again. What was their history? Her eyes returned to solely stare at the Jedis very blue eyes. How did he know that she had questions? Maybe he read her mind, maybe the eyebrow tipped him off. Nevertheless, the entire situation made her full of questions, obviously. No mindreading needed there: Why was he here? Why was she? What should Catori do? For now, she would answer the Jedi's first questions as well as she could:
,,Catori Tawa. I boarded a ship to get anywhere but here, here being Tatooine... so being here wasn't really a choice or preference. I'm from Tatooine."
Catori shrugged her shoulders. That was all she could say... However, what about the Jedi? It was kind of rude that he hadn't introduced himself yet, seeing as he was the one who approached her:
,,What's your name?"
Catori's eyes returned to the woman, still curious to see what would happen between the her and the Jedi. She did not look like a Jedi, but she did look sort of different, important. Not like a crook from Tatooine, not like a Sith, a royal or a politician... What was her role?

Ooc:
what she looks like.
Also a select few know Kota is grand Inquisitor, and she's done nothing to the alliance other than res their now missing leader. That part might be known, she made no effort to hide that fact.
Ic: The man snapped at her as if she did something wrong. Kota was truly lost in whatever it was that she had done to insult the man. "I'm not sure what I did to harm you, I don't even remember where I know you from." She said. She didn't lie about not remembering him, but she felt she knew him from somewhere. It seemed obvious that he knew her by him snapping at her as such.
The girl asked for him name. "I'm Lady Kota, one of the last shadow masters." She said to the girl. She knew she didn't ask for it, but she thought at least she wouldn't be rude about not having the girl at the least know her name. Her eyes however where still on the man who had yelled at her with him being hostile she wouldn't risk not at least being ready to defend herself if need be.

Ryder looked up as a situation began to unfold at a table across from him. He spotted Kota (why she was here he had no idea), a Jedi, and a young girl. He found the situation interesting, he’d seen a Jedi get arrested here not too long ago. The Defenders of Coruscant didn’t let anyone operate above the law—even the Jedi. Seeing it start to get a bit heated he proceeded to take another sip from his hot chocolate before standing up and heading over.
“Excuse me,” the human interrupted as he walked over. “Just want to make sure everything’s alright over here.”
As the CEO of Black Star Systems, a private security company, he had received the proper permits to handle unrest and even make arrests in these trying times. While he had nothing against the Jedi, or Lady Kota, he knew that such a situation could easily arise and with it violence, something he strove to prevent. He made no notion that he knew Kota, the Jedi or the young one. Before continuing he also made sure he was still dwindling his own presence in the Force. (Force mask)
“I just came from making an arrest, I’d like to avoid any more such incidents for the rest of this fine evening,” he continued. “Perhaps I can buy everyone a refreshing hot chocolate and we could all be on our merry way?”

Re: Tatooine Blues
Jarak paused and actually gave the shadow his full attention this time. "I have no grievance against you, I have no interest in humouring you. If you cannot remember where we have met, then perhaps that's for the best, no?"
The Jedi listened to the man coming over to his shoulder, familiar in someway but not sure how or why. He looked almost apologetically to the girl he'd began talking to, as for some reason they'd began to draw a crowd.
"It will be alright. We we're having a conversation, but I do not have any interest in one with this lady. My reasons are my own, but she'll figure it out sooner or later."
Jarak did not trust the shadows one bit after his past experiences. He couldn't trust people who so easily delved in either side of the force and expected no consequence, but that wasn't the reason he wouldn't entertain her questions. No, this one was dangerous and he knew first hand of what she could do. Right now, with a potential Jedi sat across from him, he was thinking of ways he could protect her, should this lady have more dangerous intentions. Quite fortunate another peacekeeper, of sorts, decided to interject.

Re: Tatooine Blues
Catori nodded at the woman, acknowledging her greeting. But this was all kind of messed up. Catori had just sat there all hopeless and maybe trying to gain some insights as to what to do with her life, and all of a sudden she was caught in what seemed to be some kind og emerging conflict. The woman was obviously trouble, but Catori had felt a kind og suspicion towards her earlier on. Now the man with the droid was here, apparently a guard or whatever of some sort. Maybe it was best if Catori left this mess? It wasn't because she didn't feel safe, a Jedi was here after all, but this was all too overwhelming and didn't seem to revolve around her, so... maybe the Jedi could just find her again?
Catori stayed where she was, planted on the metallic chair, her big eyes looking patiently at the entire circus.
If anything more violent were to happen, she had the knife in her black leather belt and the iron stick stacked at the top of her bag. It might not be much, but it was better than nothing. Catori had been in fights before, mostly for fun though, playing with her friends that they were all heroes of the galaxy, Jedis and what not.
Luckily, she had not experienced the real deal.

Re: Tatooine Blues
Kota was really confused, she didn't recall harming the Jedi or even threatening them. If anything Ben Kenobi was one of her best friends, but yet this Jedi wanted nothing to do with her. Corran walked up and he and this Jedi had a sight conversation. Kota was a little lost within herself, she didn't understand what this Jedi seemed to hold against her.
She moved away from him. "Since I'm clearly not welcome and you will not tell me how I know you I will be on my way." She said. Kota wasn't going to stay where she wasn't wanted, though she didn't know why. She simply nodded to Corran. Whatever he wanted here he could done alone, she wasn't about to become wanted by the Alliance as well.

Re: Tatooine Blues
Jarak turned to the girl, assuming the guard's interest would also subside now there was only one party at the table. He paused for a moment, unknowingly wrapping his senses into the force and again the glimmer highlighted in front of him. He was certain she was a potential, but there were other things to consider.
"My name, is Jarak Kai. I am a Jedi Knight, assisting the Alliance and it's citizens, well, all citizens really. It's a complicated job description." He half smiled, considering his recent outings as of late. Complicated was the understatement to end all understatements. He couldn't begin to explain it all to a fresh-faced force entity such as herself. Somethings had to be experienced to be known, unfortunately, in some cases they weren't all pleasant.
"If you would tell me, what do you know of the Force? And perhaps those who have dedicated themselves to it?" This was an essential question. At her age, somethings could be unlearned, but not all. The truth of the matter was, if she had already decided to side against the Jedi Knights, then she was astray from them. It was way the Jedi Order, in the times of the Old Republic, sought out recruits who were younger, and easier to teach. It presented it's own problems of course, but this wasn't the time for the Jedi to be teaching children, day to day in a galaxy infested with the users of the darkside, and the remnants of once mightier Empire.
