Marith looked down her sight taking aim and firing at a raider trying to open the water tank. A red bolt shot out of her blaster she watched it fall dead before sniping the others near the tanks. She aim at one running at the padawon from behind and fired her blaster making a odd sound.

Her gas had ran out and she didn’t have more on her. She didn’t think to break a spare gut or gas when she had bolted out the door.

“Damn now of all times”

She looked around and she saw sand and small pebbels she thought for a bit wondering what she should do.

The fight was more intense than anyone thought. The Tuscans fought with desperation and reverence, seeking to secure the water at all costs. Adar and Marlith were fighting for the people of this village, who could not fend these raiders themselves. For Adar, it was part of his job and vow as a Jedi padawan to protect and save lives. He wondered what drove Marlith to help him in this endeavor, especially after she was injured. He could not help but feel a sense of admiration, for she did not need to fight along side Adar, and yet she continued. He had asked for her assistance due to her being amongst the few armed people in this town, but she was pushing herself maybe a bit too hard. Though it was now too late for either of them to turn back.

Her shots were precise enough to save Adar a few major wounds. The padawan fought hard with his vibroblade in hand, letting the Force guide him from time to time to achieve success. Being a padawan meant he was still a student, and thus his fighting capabilities were limited. But where he failed, Marlith had his back. Literally sometimes. After a while, he noticed the numbers of the raiders where thinning, as they either fell in battle or fled. Still they had filled a few containers with water, and were hauling them away. Adar made a dash for those that carried them, but he was stopped by more raiders. He had no option but to fight. He realised Marlith's weapon was empty, as she had not fired in over two minutes. That meant he needed to be a lot more careful.

"Marlith! They are getting away with some of the water! Take this and stop them! I'll hold the rest!"
As he said that, he through his blaster towards her direction. It was a standard DH-17 Heavy Blaster, yet it had helped Adar get threw a lot of trouble. He hoped that she would take it, and be the hero of the day. After all, a Jedi being a hero is nothing new. The people needed to know that they could count on themselves for aid, for a Jedi could not be present everywhere at every time.

Marlith grabbed the gun and aim shooting the closest one before pumping her self up mentally and going after the raiders.she was slower then then due to her wound but she made up for that in her aim. She aimed and fired leaning on a rock. She heard the raider fall and shot the other one and then the third in quick succession. She sighed before turning around to see hold Adar was holding up. She was not to far from the battle.

She scanned the destert with her eyes to see if she could spot more raiders. Her vision was starting to blur a tiny bit from the wound and the heat. She found a safe place to sit and aim from she patted the gun softly it was her good luck charm of sorts.

While Marlith was engaging the water carrying raiders, Adar was making sure the rest of them were kept busy. Even as Adar defeated them one by one, more of them kept coming at him. If he were to fall here, Marlith would surely be next. And with her injury, he wasn't sure how long she would last. This and all the innocent lives at stake here kept him going, and the Force kept him focused. He hoped that the Force was aiding Marlith as well, even if she could not sense It.

As the sounds of clashing blades and blaster fire roared, Adar dissengaged for one moment to check in with Marlith.

"You holding up good? They seem to be on their last legs. Don't push yourself too hard. You need to get through this too."

Her wound was not fatal or grave, but it was still a burden for her at this time. Adar could feel it and see it in her face.
He did not hear her answer, for the raiders were about to charge them. He returned to battle, having faith that Marlith would be fine and stop the remaining raiders.

“Yeah I’m fine let’s finish these guys off”

Marlith aimed down the cross hairs of the blasters taking peruse and carful shots she had no need to make them suffer. She kept aiming and fire

Aim then fire, aim then fire. Her trigger disaplint was similar to that of empire soldier it was strict and focused. A focused look in her eyes the words of the man who’s kind and reckless words and actions. She lightly patted the gun.

“There we go”
She whispered softly to herself. The motion of her hands was smooth and fluid as if she had run the motions 1,000 times and a 1,000 times again.

She watched a raider fall and move onto next.

Aim 123 fire repeating in her head keeping her a nice steady but fast pace. She was focused. She was taught to put her mind and heart into the fight. To let her mind make the main choices and her heart to make the impossible and important disstions.

The combat had slowly begun to die down. A few dozen raiders laid dead, and the rest had been routed. The blaster skills of Marlith and the bladework of Adar were no match for them. A couple of them had filled their water pouches with the town's water reserves, but the lose was minimal. Even in defeat, the Tuscans must have been thrilled to have gotten some water back to their tribe. They would be hailed as heroes, or perhaps even successful crusaders. Whatever the case, they would think twice before attacking this town again on Tatooine.

Adar was tending to his wounds, with bacta patches literally saving him from any serious injury. He also helped the locals assess the damage to their homes, as well as help anyone who was injured. Many houses were destroyed and at least 10 had sustained critical damage. Adar hoped that the local authorities would be able to handle the rebuilding, but just in case he left 50000 credits to the community. The citizens were grateful to the young man, but they were far more intrested in Marlith. For a young woman to put on such a display of heroism was not unheard of, but surely the townspeople had never seen such a display first hand. Adar was more than fine with this. He didn't need the glory of being a hero. Saving these people was enough for him, and for all Jedi.

Once the crowd begun to dissipate, Adar approached the young woman.

"Hey, well done out there. The people call you a hero, and they are right. Without you, this might not have ended so good." He offered her a bottle of water, thinking that all that action must have been exhausting for her. It certaintly was for him.

"Oh, and I have something else I wanted to talk to you about. I know your past was turbulant, and that you surely want to find out why that deal that got your captain killed went so wrong, but the galaxy needs people like you. Good people, that want to help make the galaxy a better place. People who are not afraid to put their lives on the line to make the world a better place." he cleared his throat, trying to sound professional. "I am asking you to join the Galactic Alliance. They always are on the lookout for pilots I hear. And you got an A wing already!"
He had thought to ask her to join the Rangers, a military group in the service of the Jedi, but he knew that the GA military would be a far better place for her.
"So, what do you say?"

She plopped back against a wall smiling.

“You know what sure”

Marlith banged up her wound on her leg with a proper bandages. Before going to her small house and grabbing the stuff most important thing putting them in a small bag along with extra blaster gas.
She fueled up her A-wing.

“So where do I need to go”

She looked at padawon. She had been longing for another group to be apart of and she wasn’t going to pass it up. Who knows when a chance like this would ever pop up again. She checked her ships rations and med kits. She added so extra food not knowing how long the trip would be.

Adar could not contain his joy. He watched as Marlith packed up her things and refueled her A wing. He checked to make sure his Delta-7 was undamaged from the storm and the attack. He was a bit displeased to find that the Tuscans had scratched it and painted over it. The ship was still functioning perfectly, but it was a big inconvenience. Well, he couldn't complain. For all he knew, the ones who did this were already dead, perhaps even by his blade. He hated that it had to result to this, but there was no way the raiders were going to back down. At least the people were safe. The Tuscans that attacked were warriors. They knew the risk of their attack, and most of them paid the price of that decision.

As he was lost in thought, he heard Marlith's voice. He could feel some anxiety in her, but also the excitement of a new life. Of purpose. He hoped the Alliance would be a good home for her.

"We are going to get to orbit. We are gonna link up with the GA fleet and travel by the hyperlanes to Naboo."

For a moment he wondered if her old A-wing could make it to orbit or at the edge of the system in order to link up with the capital ship that had brought Adar here. But he brushed those thoughts away. It wasn't good to think negatively of the future. After all, the future was fool of mysteries. But one thing was certain. Marlith's future was just beggining.

“Got it”

Marlith hopped in her A wing patting the dash lightly

“Well old girl were starting a new life.”

She turned on the engine and smiled a sweet smile with a hint of sarrow she didn’t want to amit it but she was going to miss this small home town of hers. She grabbed the drawing from the inside roof of her ship looking at it fondly.

“I think you would be proud of me dad”
She stuck the drawing back up and smiled as the old A wing steadied to a soft purr.

“There you go old girl”

She took off heading into orbit smiling at the stars who’s wondress mystery’s and secrets called to her form a young age when she was still that young girl in that old blaster repair shop. Her deep green eyes gazed at the starts one day she hoped she would find something new a star that no eyes had ever laid apon .
