A place long forgotten (Rhoden, Warvanus)

Warvanus ignited his lightsaber the snap-hiss followed by a crimson blade. He began to deflect the incoming blaster fire.
He deflected as much as he could, most shots deflecting from his lightsaber into the ground. The ones that didnt not deflect
Into the ground he managed to send back towards the droids. Most of them missed, one or two would hit two drois here and there.
Two of the b1s fell, they were the easiest droids to eliminate


“Not the smartest tool in the shed” he said matter of factly

He studied the situation, B2s, more B1s and Commando droids. Which one posed the biggest threat? He deduced it would be the
Commando droids. The incoming blaster fire made it difficult for him to advance on them, he would have to narrow down the amount
Of incoming blaster fire. They were in a narrow hallway so not alot of room to move. Their only option would be to draw them into
A larger room but the flaw with that is they could do that and the room they find themselves in could find more trouble. It was a
Gamble to be sure.

“We need to draw them into an open area” he said his eyes looking for the door of opportunity as he kept blocking and deflecting
Incoming blaster fire.

Rhoden recalled the map he had seen and took a step back, scanning the wall. He saw a door and elbowed the control, it slid open to reveal what looked to be a mess hall--something bizarrely irrelevant with a station largely crewed by droids. Perhaps, he thought, there had been a considerable sentient presence on the station at one point.

"Of all the times not to have an ion grenade!" Jorvan said as he dived behind a table thankfully constructed out of durasteel. "We've got something better: Mr. Lightsaber over there." Rhoden replied, pointing to the Sith.

Warvanus began to back towards the open door to the mess hall. He was the last one in, He then entered the room and stood to the side of the open door so when a droid or two came in that he would have an easy kill. When he took position the blaster fire ceased and for a brief moment there was silence.

He held his lightsaber in front of him, two of the B1s came in and Warvanus was quick, he swung at the first one removing it’s head and as the second was processing what was happening he had put his lightsaber through its torso. Both B1s dropped. Warvanus had moved to the other side of the door all this was as if it was one fluidic dance. That now left 2 more B1s and then the B2s and Commando droids.

He looked over at the Imperials who were also ready, their commander seemed like a very capable person. Shame he wasn’t in the Sith Military, he would have gone far. The sounds of the last 2 B1s snapped Warvanus back to the present.

A commando droid moved around the preocupied Sith in fluid motions and brought out a large evil-looking knife. The droid swung it with incredible force, but Rhoden caught the blade short of his armored gut and swung his weapon up with bone breaking force. What would snap a human neck and warp its position on a mans neck his blow only crumpled the side of the droids head and snapped it sideways. It was, however, enough damage to be going on with--the droids eyes flickered and went out.

There was an almighty hail of blaster bolts as the B2 battle droids, in conjunction with the remaining B1's and commandos opened fire. Even a Sith would have trouble parrying all the shots and Rhoden knew things were about to get much harder. "We could use some help about now." he said. "Er, Rhoden..." Haly said, "What?" Jorvan looked between the two, "Can we, just, y'know... call Shadow and have him send Ravager in?" Rhoden blinked, "Try it." he'd not gotten used to having a droid ready and able to fight, and it seemed the others were getting used to the idea themselves.

Rhoden heard a thundering sound from down the hallway. "Dammit! Destroyers! Get back, get in!" he yelled to the cloaked man as two droids rolled around the corner at high speed and stopped in front of their allies, unfolding and activating their shields immediately. "You'd think the kriffing things would've worn down a bit." Jorvan growled as he fired uselessly at the shielded droids.

He had dispatched of the last B1s with no effort but it was getting very chaotic and the rain of blaster bolts was evidence of that, knowing better than to try to deflect every single shot, Warvanus dove and landed in a roll behind a table that he pulled down to use as a shield. The bolts had rained down like a torrential downpour of rain. When it had subsided Warvanus went to enter the exit to scope out the situation when he saw Destroyers, knowing that those were formidable droids even among those who used the Force Warvanus had immediately backtracked and went back into the mess hall as he took cover behind that table he had used just moments ago.

Blasters wouldn’t penetrate their shielding, and he most likely would not be able to get in close enough to hack one to bits without being shot. There was always the Force. He cursed to himself as he saw them roll in and heard Jorvan’s comment. He couldn’t agree more with the imperial

He drew upon the Force letting his anger rise and fuel his command of the Darkside his blue iris’ vanishing replaced by Radioactive golden yellow. He reached out with his senses he could feel the cold metallic droids in the room. These Droidekas, invisible fingers tracing along the body of one searching, looking , then he found it, he peered from behind the table and with his hand he extended it, with the Force *Telekinesis* he pulled with his mind a small box type component that was planted along the spine of it.

When the box component was freed sparks showered the floor, the droid still functional but now its targeting systems appeared to be malfunctioning, and its shield start flickering as if it could not decide to keep it raised or lowered. The 2nd Droideka who was untampered unleashed a couple shots in his direction in which Warvanus took cover behind the table.

With one destroyer malfunctioning he wondered how this would play out

The trio of Imperials fired at the droid as its shields began to fail, dropping it. Rhoden sent several shots at a B2, and watched it drop with satisfaction, "If there's more of these guys we're going to be in a lot of trouble very fast." Rhoden said.

He ducked back behind cover as two more B2's dropped and several shots were absorbed or deflected by his armor. "At least they're not accurate..." he muttered to himself.

Seeing the first Droideka being destroyed, Warvanus wasted no time in applying the same tactic to the second one, when the shields of that droid began to flicker Warvanus swept in and in a fluid motion removed its’ head with his lightsaber then bringing the lightsaber blade in a downward arc he turned it’s torso into 2 separate pieces.

This group of droids was definitely thinning he thought as he lunged himself at one of the B2s quickly making that droid into a jigsaw puzzle with the multiple lightsaber strikes he inflicted on it.

He stole a quick glance at the Imperials to see how they fared.

With the first droideka gone and the other weak the trio stood quickly, firing precise shots at the remaining droideka. It rolled backwards as it's unprotected midsection blew outwards under the rain of blasterbols.

The Imperials redirected their fire to the remaining droids, one of the B2's began to warp and melt, crumbling in half. Two more fell backwards as their heads were hit. Rhoden saw one of the remaining B2's raise and twist it's wrist.

He dived sideways as an explosion tore through his previous location. Jorvan had rolled out of the way and staggered slightly as he stood, Haly had dove as well, but was thrown across the room by the blast and the B2... the B2 had exploded brilliantly when it fired. There was silence. "Report!" Rhoden said.

"Clear here." Jorvan said. "Fine." Haly groaned as she stood gingerly.

Warvanus powered down his lightsaber and looked around at the carnage. “Clear here” he said dejectedly


He went to the entranceway to the former mess hall, looked left, looked right, it was quiet. Without saying a word he exited the room and began to make his way down the hallway. Lightsaber still in hand but powered down.

Why and how did those droids get re-activated? Did they trip some kind of security measure? Warvanus might never know but one thing was for certain. He would be more careful. It was once again eerily quiet he thought to himself as he waited for the Imperials to catch up to him.

“Lets hope we dont run into those again” he said

"That's optimistic to the point of delusion." Jorvan growled as the Imperials followed the Sith, "Oh, you never know, whatever woke that lot might've failed in the others--I'd think we would be up to our necks in spare parts otherwise." the group continued to follow the Sith.

"We have an interest in keeping this place intact?" Rhoden asked after a while, "I'm all for finding out what it is, but it'd solve a few issues if we just blow it up once we're done."
