He had climbed up the air shaft with no incident about halfway up he could feel the Force again it flooded through him like an old friend returning for a visit. When he made it up the Imperials took the lead, and he followed.
They came to a door and had began to watch Jorvan get to work opening the door and he agreed it opened too quickly, and then that voice, he did not recognize it but his Danger sense was prickling the back of his mind. He wanted to unleash his fury but he had to restrain. He narrowed his eyes at the stranger then looked to Rhoden and then to each of his men.
“Who is this meatbag” he asked

Re: A place long forgotten (Rhoden, Warvanus)
"I don't know, never seen him before now." Rhoden said, not taking his eyes from the man, who continued to smile. "You can just call me General." he said, his eyes glinting. "And if your Sith friend there gets any funny ideas we all get blown to atoms." he added. He gestured to the seat again, twisting his arm to show also he had a blaster ready at his wrist. The group sat.
"Good. Now, before you go congratulating yourself on foiling another of Markus's plots I'm going to burst your little bubble." the man said. "You were invited here. Invited because we're abandoning this base for the time being." the man said. "You'll take particular note that we saw no net loss in providing you some free targets." the man smiled coldly, "I'm afraid I can't stick around to answer questions--though I do suggest you run along, the fusion warheads will be going off fairly soon."
There was a clattering and the floor dropped out from beneath the man, him and his chair falling down, the door slid back open and Rhoden stood, looking out into the corridor. The droids and clones were gone. "The plot thickens." Haly said dramatically. Rhoden glared at her.

Re: A place long forgotten (Rhoden, Warvanus)
Warvanus did not make a move he just observed the exchange but if looks spoke words, then his expression said he wanted to take this "general" and remove his fingers one by one, joint by joint.
This meatbag had set the facility to self-destruct they needed to get out of here and quickly.
He wasnt too far from where his starfighter had landed. He wasnt sure how much time they had, but he had no intention of wasting any of it.
“I suggest we make like a bat out of hell” he said with that, he began to make his way out of the office and back towards the hanger.

"Good idea," Rhoden muttered, "C'mon, outta here, fast!" he said, heading out. The group moved quickly, and encountered no further resistance, but a klaxon had begun to sound throughout the base. It had been an interesting discovery, and a disturbing one as well--Bareil was far more active than Rhoden had anticipated.
"This is the last time I get curious about something." he said as they ran down another hallway, "You've said those exact words before." Jorvan said, "I have not!" Rhoden said, "Pff. Even I've heard you say that before." Haly said. Rhoden scowled.

Re: A place long forgotten (Rhoden, Warvanus)
Warvanus had made it back to the hanger with no further incident. As he entered the hanger though he did notice a inactive Droideka, not knowing what possessed him to with use from the Force he had loaded this droid into the storage area of his ship, it barely fit. It was a foolish move to say the least but he wasn’t leaving this rock empty handed.
Once loaded he climbed aboard his starfighter and began powerup procedures and exited the facility the way he came in. The facility started its deaththroes as he cleared the tunnels of this rock and began to get distance between himself and the dying facility. After clearing the static , his comm. Chimmed in, it was KL-PK1
“Bout bloody time you answered” it began, seriously he really needed to do a wipe on this mouthy droid
“Been busy Karl, Report!” he barked
“Well exxxcuuuseee me Master, I thought I was going to have to find a new Master”
“Karl you are not THAT Lucky”
“Very well, you are needed Master” he conceded
“I’m heading home Karl prepare the complex for my arrival”
“Yes Master”
Warvanus wondered if the Imperial team escaped alive, in one aspect he hoped so , he was capable and knowledgeable, If he had been part of the Sith he would have promoted the man and put him under his command. But he was not. Maybe they would meet again maybe not. All he knew was that there was a threat he didn’t know if it was to the Galactic Empire or the Sith Empire. Either way this would require some research….

Re: A place long forgotten (Rhoden, Warvanus)
The Imperials made it back to their ship without incident, lifting off and flying away. Rhoden observed with one eye the explosion of the asteroid base on one of the cockpit's monitors. "Well that's that, then." he said as they cleared the asteroids. He reached forward toward the hyperspace controls.
Rhoden's ship elongated and was gone as it entered hyperspace. The old man smiled as his own ships entered hyperspace. He turned away from the screen and headed towards his quarters--it was going to be a long flight, and he was feeling light on breath after so much running.
"Well, how did Rhoden take our little surprise?" Markus asked, "About as well as he takes anything, I expect." the General said. Markus snorted softly, "So not well at all." he smiled, "The extraction?" he asked, "We got everything--except the scrapped droids and mercenaries' bodies." the General responded. Markus clapped his hands together, "Excellent." There was a chime from Markus's wrist before any more could be said.
"Ah. I have urgent business elsewhere, General." he said, "It should only take a few days, rendezvous coordinates uploaded already." Markus paused, "If you can pick up the time check in on Outpost C-3, they had an equipment malfunction and I'd like to get them back up to full operational capabilities within the week." the General nodded, "Right then, guess I'll be off." he shook Markus's hand and walked across the docking tunnel connecting his command--a Dreadnaught cruiser in surprisingly good condition--to Markus's current ship--a Nebulon-B2 Frigate.
The two ships disconnected and went their separate ways. The General went to his quarters aboard the Dreadnaught--thankfully quite a bit more comfortable than those on the transport he'd taken before. He sat down on his bed and winced, he reached into a drawer and popped a cap off a bottle, taking several pills. He was getting too old for this business, but no one else was qualified for his job. He sighed and stood up slowly, grinding his teeth together in pain. He walked out of his quarters and headed to the bridge.
