'Bloody hell.' She thought. Kota got up and started heading towards the Master Buggie's presence, but continued on. "To late." She said responding to Rhoden. Why did it have to happen on one of the few days she had to herself. She wanted to know what was going on and what she could do to stop it. Kota was certain that Rhoden probably deserved what ever it was, but even he didn't deserve his ship being stolen.

As she walked she tried to keep herself calm, this was a Jedi master not a sith. They were two different worlds she wouldn't start anything with him, this was about the man attempting to steal Rhoden's ship. She hoped to make it there before he could get away with it. As she walked she pushed her com several times, she was alerting her grand admiral to come. Hopefully he could get here in time if she should fail to stop the thief.

As soon as the first pirate up the ramp's foot touched down, an unfamiliar droid rushed out, shot three times, and charged out into the group of raiders. The first two shots connected with the left side of the Advozse's chest and shoulder, which didn't prove lethal thanks to his armor, but definitely floored him and sent him crawling out of range of the ramp before crumpling to the grime-covered pavement. Somewhere in the confusion that proceeded, the droid haphazardly swinging about its appendages was disabled by one of the group of pirates that it had attacked, despite numbers being greatly against its favor. Whether it was smashed into the duracrete, rendering it deactivated, or if a pirate with true aim and an ion blaster pistol overloaded it's systems, the end result was that the droid lay inert on the grime-covered duracete of Landing Pad 3, no longer a threat in this engagement according to a handheld scanner in the mitts of a Gand raider. A quick sweep in the direction of the ship showed multiple power signals from other droids aboard, and the Gand made his findings known.

"You still want to take a run at it, boss?" one of the pirates asked the Trandoshan captain, after he had picked up his fallen comrade and eased his uninjured arm around his own shoulder. The group was faced with more resistance than had originally been reported and it seemed that they were at an impasse. There was still enough time for them to fade back into the unyielding stream of foot traffic so characteristic of Nar Shaddaa nights. In fact, if one looked out into the masses, they would see sentients supporting their stumbling drinking partners in much the same way as the injured Advozse was being held up now.

"No, this mission was lost before it began, that droid had to have alerted the captain. We need to jet". And with that the crew fell back into the meandering crowd, only potentially looking a little more conspicuous than the random civilian due to their infiltration gear, not like there weren't several mercenary and and police forces meandering about. The wounded pirate was played off as a drunk from a bender at a local bar, and we were merely sent out to collect him. Nobody seemed to think anything of the story and within a short time, they'd all be off this rock.

Dot had but moments to process his situation. One of the buffoons had actually grabbed one of his rather sharp arms. Unfortunately Dot had no firm base upon which to slice through the hand and was, as a result, dragged into the crowd shrieking insults they could no more understand than hear in the ruckus. He noted, with alarm, that they had ion weapons and continued forward to bowl one of them over before falling to the floor as though damaged, one stepped on him and fell over and he rolled out onto the pavement outside the ship, playing dead. He performed a self-check, there were several scrapes and nasty dents--one of his arms was damaged as well. But, other than that, he was fine for his surprisingly sturdy armor could resist even a well-placed blaster bolt, or two, or three. The pirates fled and he transmitted a report to his master.


Rhoden snarled, "They're clearing off, the bloody cowards. They met my droids." he said, catching up with Kota. Jorvan followed several moments later, out of breath "Stunned em." he said. Rhoden turned to Kota, "I'll be securing my ship and heading off to pull Darnik out of trouble." he said, he brought a hand up to scratch behind his ear "Ah, if you'd like, you could maybe... uh... come meet the guy." he invited, "He's a real nice fella, a Bessalisk, he just gets himself in trouble with officials--and pirates." he coughed. "Anyways, your help would be appreciated and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to have Darnik as a lookout--at least you'd know where not to go. Just ask where he is."

[Lady Kota]

She looked at him annoyed. "This was my day away from things and you had to bring trouble to my door." She said. A coded beep noise came to her com, Tann was close. "You come near me again and I promise I will kill you where you stand." She said. Kota walked off, she wasn't in a good mood.

Being family no longer mattered, Kota didn't appreciate her day being ruined. She would make her way to her ship that brought her here. Kota would take it back to The Kash, it would be her last time here in a long time. The road ahead would be rougher, especially with the new empress.

[Rhoden Carbine]

"Oh, my gravest apologies, my lady." he said, voice dripping with sarcasm, "If I had known you claimed this planet as your own I might not have come." he proceeded, "Yes, leave my poor friend to suffer at the hands of some most unsavory pirates and save myself the trouble of dealing with your most unpleasant demeanor." he snorted, and his face hardened, "One day you're going to find yourself on the wrong end of one to many a blaster, and you'll be none to happy about the outcome." he said. It was not a thread, or indicative of his own feelings, it was simply a statement.

"You run away, now. I can handle this business on my own." he sped up his pace. Jorvan followed, "She understands nothing." he said, "She's a child, an arrogant child with command of the Force." Rhoden responded, "She knows nothing of family, and she threatens you because you run into trouble trying to help a friend." Rhoden sneered at Jorvan's anger, "Ah, but you see. She doesn't have relationships like that. How can she understand the obligation to help someone if she kills everyone who tries to be nice to her?" he asked.

Jorvan shook his head, and sighed, "Meeting her might not have been a good idea Rhoden." he said, referring to their previous meeting with the woman, "Perhaps. Perhaps not. If she doesn't get herself killed she might learn a thing or two about being open--or at least having the social skills not to threaten everyone she meets."

[Lady Kota]

An old man chuckled. "You bicker like family, but yet you know nothing of her." An old man said. He had a staff to walk and was clearly blind when he came into the light. "I had to see myself this cousin. "She might be angry now, but time will calm her. However do you know that this will be her last time to enjoy herself in possibly five years? No I don't expect her to share this with you." He said.

The old man walked closer to him. "She works hard to keep her family safe. Now that she's discovered you, she has to work harder, by keeping you at a distance. She doesn't know you, she doesn't want you to be hurt, but she doesn't want you used against her. A difficult balance to maintain that and you haven't earned her trust yet." He said. His eyes seemed to stare at him.

[Rhoden Carbine]

"That's all well and good." Rhoden said, "But she remains ignorant of her true family. We would spend our blood in defense of her own should the need arise." he said, "And we must look out for ourselves, she need not isolate herself from her heritage for our sake." he said, Jorvan nodded. "We accept the risks that come our way, and if we die, we die in the knowledge that we will be remembered--and that we died fighting." he said.

Rhoden gave an apologetic look to the man, "As for ruining her little vacation, I am truly sorry, but I had no idea she was here." he shrugged, "And I'm certainly not about to let my friend get himself killed--or worse because it would inconvenience my dear cousin." he was silent for a while, and he gazed at the ground, thinking "What happened to her, to make her this way?" he asked quietly, "Even among rival houses the Carbines would welcome a peaceful guest."
