Balance Reborn
"Wake Up"
The sensation of blood flowing through Vechlin's sculpted, yet somewhat mangled body poured through every vessel of his brain, one limb at a time from the tips of his fingers to the core of his chest. Some of the sensations were synchronized and mechanically induced, while others were as authentic as the sensation of birth, if only one could remember that moment. Vechlin opened his purely ebony eyes, permanently the color of old and hardened volcanic ashe which weighed heavily as he gasped for air. As his senses came to the living world, the musk mausoleum like smell pierced his nose, mixed with the dust of the temple which he lay in slumber within its war torn walls. A metallic scraping against the gritty stone platform he slept on could be heard echoing through the ghastly halls as Vechlin inched his plasteel hand closer to his Lightwhip. As if the calmness of the eye of a vast hurricane storm had ended, a boisterous and terrifying scream that sent a sensation of needles through every fiber of Vechlin's being ended the brief silence. The Shadow focused through the force, growling and bellowing in response to the endless swarm of nightmarish creatures flooding his way. Vechlins Lightwhip exploded through the air, slamming against the stone walls in a violently beautiful display of violet and red light, with light shrapnel singing the rough skin of the mans face, stoic with a deathly glare.
This was an omen of death. As the flood poured over him, swift and bloody, Vechlin finally did wake.
Was it a dream? Vechlin disagreed with his own first thought. There are no dreams when it comes to the force.

Re: Balance Reborn
"That wasn't the usual dream."
Vechlin rose from the cot he set up within an arms reach of his cockpit chair, fully awake. His breath could be seen as he exhaled sharply. He'd been in space for months in solitude, cramped within the confines of thick steel, war equipment, and machinery. Oddly enough his light weapon was clenched within the grasp of his mechanical durasteel hand as it was in the dream, only disengaged and coiled. Luckily, he thought. Had his dream fully manifested physically the hull of his ship could have been breached from the inside, the depressurization would have launched his body with every loose piece of equipment into the dark vacuum of space, and death would have been a reality. A wicked grin emerged from the corner of his lip, "That would have been something" he took note of his location in the Tingel Arms region of the galaxy as his eyes studied his navigation computer. He hadn't been asleep very long.

Re: Balance Reborn
Alot happened in recent years. The Shadow Lord had fallen shortly after the loss if his fleet and many of his beloved Shadow warriors under his command. He was a mere shell of his former self, reveling in thoughts of pure darkness. All he could think of was revenge. The sinking sensation of rage poisoned his heart, churning his stomach as the murderous thoughts swelled. He focused on the pain immensely, as if to torture his own mind as a sadist would torture a victim.
Darth Necronis,
he thought of a name he'd been granted. No. Earned. Though briefly, he did serve the Sith with the pure intent of revenge.
When he realized he was only serving the needs of others, he disappeared into the abyss, hoping to hide in oblivion.
It wasn't known to very many, but Vechlin had served under the secret title of Darth Necronis, a Sith assassin, with very little ties to the Sith themselves. When that title no longer served a purpose, Vechlin went into a self inflicted exile, once more, seeking to find the man responsible for the execution of his people.
"This dream...more and more of the Shadows continue to die while I drift about in space."

The Sedaya Kash
It had been some time since the crew had wondered any where, with Lady Kota gone most of the time it was difficult for them to get away. However she had to maintain her guise as a Shadow Master for those who still hunted her. Her eyes wondered out at the stars, Grand Admiral Tann not far from her side. "It feels good to be free if only for a time." He said. "It does. I'll have to return in a few weeks, the division will be needed for a war." She said to him. "In the end I hope this is all worth it." Tann said. She didn't look at him but she hoped as well.
So far there had been little progress as far as the Chiss were concerned, but she no longer worked for the Empire for them. She long accepted the fact she was never to return home in her life. No she did this so the Empire would never find the last things in the Galaxy she cared for. Kota would protect them with her life, so it was for a purpose.

Re: Balance Reborn
Ripples in the force.
The Shadow hadn’t checked on Zonama Sekot in some time, but he had a few more stops before he could return back to see through the alliance he forged. Situations had changed a number of his goals, but his craving for power had only amplified.
The Shadow Lord walked through the bustling downtown of what he assumed would be considered slums. A collector of information, the Shadow Lord knew that the best places to find it were often in the den of the forgotten, the hopeless, and the abandoned. It was also a place that was conducive to being robbed, but the Shadow Lord did not fear this fate. He walked a unique balance of secrecy and intimidation. He could pass through a crowd without being noticed, and anyone who happened upon him would feel a great deal of unsettlement and not be entirely sure why. Xavius Bain had that effect.
His Assassin droid remained with his ship, but the two were commed together in case either needed the other.
Ripples again.
The Shadow had become more and more in tune with the elemental nature of the currents in the force, so much so that he could often see a physical representation of its waves. This was familiar, and it meant that someone significant in his past was close.
That would have to wait.
The cloaked Shadow arrived at a door, his face entirely covered in shadows. His weapons hung comfortably beneath, and his armor was fully concealed as it often was. With a light exhale, Xavius pressed the door open, and slithered into the cantina, doing his best to remain in the shadows unseen.

Re: Balance Reborn
Vechlin casually rolled himself into his YT Freight's cockpit, nestling himself as much as he could into the seat. His back felt a discomforting pressure from his previous slumber and he found himself rubbing his back muscles against the edges of his seat. From what he could see, not much was happening. At least in that moment, until his instruments started whirring and beeping loudly.
Out here?, he thought to himself.
Who could it be, and why!?
He quickly found the power controls on his main board and began systematically shutting off systems to maintain mechanical silence. From what he could tell from the initial read it was something very big. It was unfortunate, however, as the slight warmth was finally returning throughout the cabin. A shut down would mean that Vechlin would once more deal with the bitter cold, and wouldn't be able to get an exact read on what just emerged.
Vechlin couldn't help but feel something familiar, as if a presence of a ghost loomed over him, pressing down over his shoulders. Something of vast but familiar power was nearby, ominous. This was no ordinary presence in the force, but something quite vast in a supernatural manner of speaking. Vechlin, began to feed into his inner darkness and pain, hoping to send his raw emotions through the force like a beacon. If it was someone he knew, they would feel it, and avoid unwanted attention from others.

Kota's eyes wondered from up to ahead. 'What is this?' She thought. She wasn't sure what it was. The control council beeped the officer made sounds in their native tongue. "What the hell is a ship doing out here?" Tann asked. "Mommy!" Nyria exclaimed as she ran towards her mom she began to glow. Kota quickly moved to her daughter to try to calm her. Nyria was not quite trained on her force use so her reaction was to whatever was going on.
"Get Ragar up here to get Nyria, bring the ship aboard, and have the guards at the ready." She said. "What are we dealing with?" Tann asked. She looked at Tann. "Be ready for a force user, but I'm not sure.. I... I'm not sure who I feel." She said. Kota's never had this issue before, it felt familiar but it wasn't at the same time. It was hard to explain, but there was no other means to explain it.

Re: Balance Reborn
Xavius found a corner table that gave him full view to anyone entering or exiting the cantina. He had a drink in hand, the highest end spirit the place carried. He appreciated the taste, but his synthetic body didn’t feel the effects of alcohol. The corner Xavius sat in was not well lit; the break in light cast a shadow over him that made him hard to notice unless you were looking for him specifically. He would get the occasional glance, but he was hardly the strangest looking character in the building. On multiple tables, various aliens checked their corners to make sure no one was watching before making illegal deals, trading weapons or drugs, or other criminal activity.
But Xavius just waited. He was looking for someone specific, and he knew the man would be walking into the bar soon if his intel was correct. For now, he sipped his drink and waited in the dark.

Re: Balance Reborn
The Imperial ship's tractor beam shook Vechlin's ship abrasively, throwing him slightly out of his seat before he could regain composure.
Tractor beam. Not good. He thought, as only very large capital vessels could pull a ship the size of a YT2000 into it.
Vechlin stood out of his seat, staring into space through the cockpit at the vast beyond, and all sound seemed to dampen around him. His right plasteel hand gripped tightly over his light weapon as he made his way to the loading ramp. Portions of his battle scarred mimetic armor, nearly a relic of a dead era, could be seen behind the black and blood red cape draped over his shoulders. His long jet black hair was pushed back with his mind through the force, fully revealing his frightening onyx eyes, devoid of white. His tan skin was both dirty and charred, as if he'd rolled in ashe. He exposed the left side of his body, slightly concealing his grip on the weapon, and quickly picked up his vibroshield from the loading bay floor that lay nestled on a custom display, facing it toward the exit.
He could sense a presence in the force that was more powerful than his own by a milestone, but it was familiar...in Vechlin's case he had few familiar friends left. He let rage start seeping into the pores of his being, and began to feed on it once more.
The Patriarch had not interacted with another being since the fall of the Shadow Order, and his final acts as a Sith. Though his behavior may feel normal to him, a well cultured individual would find his mannerisms to be primal, and classless. This wasn't very far from the truth then either.

Ooc: The Kash is actually registered to the Alliance. He's Mia ATM, but it's registered to Derrick Starr. Long story.
Ic: Ragar, a wookie came and took the child from Kota as she walked with purpose. "Keep her with the ysalamiri." She said back to him. Nyria began to cry, she wanted to be with her mom. Ragar calmed her by stroking her as he walked, he knew she did this for her own good. The men of her crew made up of various aliens, not a single human on board other than herself. They all had their weapons of trade awaiting the ship to properly land in the bay.
When Kota got there, she brought only one of her hilts to her hand. It remained unactivated, but she couldn't risk a hostile running around. She would stop them herself or die trying to. Her black hair had silver in it these days, a sign of age, but Kota was only going to be fourty. She didn't know who was inside, she wasn't sure what she felt. "We have you surrounded come out." Tann said. He was a chiss, the grand Admiral of this ship made so before the vong war.
