Call of Silence(Kita, Kota, Sa’ato)

Post by Neive Undant » Thu Jan 11, 2024 4:28 am

(Continued from “Where to go from here”)

The door to the cantina slammed open and a pale skinned, blonde haired body soared out of the open doorway, rolling and tumbling along the ground.

Prazutis stepped outside, the hole in his chest seeping out black smoke and purple embers from where the Sith had stabbed the agent.

Prazutis didn’t speak to the Grand Inquisitor, allowing her to follow him if she wished, but understanding she had her own agenda. Prazutis wasn’t 100% aware of her intentions, but he knew of his own.

Prazutis stepped towards the girl he had thrown outside with his telekinesis, taking out his lightsaber and igniting the deep crimson blade.

I suppose Tormentous made you his little pet, didn’t he? That man always had a terrible choice in apprentices. For your sake, I hope you’re better than his last two,” Prazutis said, holding his lightsaber in one hand, watching the girl for movement and keeping his blade defensively in front of him.

Prazutis was used to being the aggressor in fights, as the Jedi were primarily defensive with their weapons and didn’t attack often. The Sith, however…

Give up your weapon now, and you’ll only have to deal with me. The Grand Inquisitor doesn’t take kindly to Sith, so working with me may have you as a prisoner, but at least you’ll be alive.

It wasn't the first time for Kita being tossed around like a rag doll. First Tormentous, now this invisible Inquisitor in armor.
The young blonde sith apprentice landed on her back before slowly getting herself to sit on her hands and knees.
Shaking her head, Silvanius began rubbing the dirt and pebbles away that clung on her skin, hair and outfit from her tumble on the unforgiving dirt ground. Silvanius laughed hysterically at Prazutis question of her being Lord Tormentous's new apprentice. In normal circumstances, the silver clad apprentice may have been pissed off after being treated so horribly. Even considering he was practically implying she might have been a terrible apprentice like the others. Yet she found amusement in his question.
Smirking, she lifted her head to meet Prazutis gaze.

"Pet?" She cocked a brow in wonder. "If you knew me, you would know that ain't actually true. I make him THINK that I'm his pet and...yes I may have been coursed into becoming his apprentice with bribery, threats and such since my kidnapping, but I have my own plans in action he is unaware about. And secondly...his last apprentices were to cocky, arrogant and impatient from my understanding. So them losing Tormentous favor was their own mistake. I merely came upon this postion as his apprentice in a matter of unforseen events that were not in my control. Now i just use the position as his apprentice for my own benefit to survive. Not because of what others may think of me wanting the throne and whatnot."

Silvanius tapped her chin in thought, her force field around her thoughts were purposely left down this whole time to reveal what she had been saying was true. "Honestly killing Tormentous for the throne is almost impossible. And if i were to take the throne myself one day, im not going in without being fully prepared for it. It's a death sentence waiting to happen."

Slowly getting up on her feet, she crossed her arms over her chest as Prazutis remained in a defensive position. His red saber glowing off the armor he seemed to be absently occupying as she stared at the dark smoke that was wisping out of the hole she created earlier. In all it seemed to make him appear even more menacing. As he asked for her lightspear, she shook her head. "I should be asking you to drop your weapon. Not the other way around. Especially considering..." The knowledge was still shocking to the apprentice as she stared in silence for a moment. "...you have no body for me to harm anyhow. And i don't trust you with possibly not stabbing me in the back first."

Kita was curious how the Inquisitor had no body, but didn't bother asking. If she had any idea of how he did it, she knew sith Alchemy made things possible after what she experienced getting the Massassi with Lord Tormentous and Silas.

"Believe it or not, but out of ANY of the sith, I am the least of your worries in general. I only fight back when I feel it's nessary or in self defense. Not that I haven't lost my mentality in a battle or two. The darkside over the past few years has taken a affect on me. But i have no personal beef with you." Silvanius tapped her arm in irritation as she reconsidered that last statement. "...except for maybe being thrown out of the cantina and startling me inside the establishment."

Silvanus uncrossed her arms and placed her right hand on her hip as her faded blue eyes met his.
"And may i remind you, i also stopped your own man from shooting you. So in all, id reconsider being on defense with me. I was merely passing through your territory. I didnt care to make a scene, much less cause a fight."

Despite the fact her master had disappeared for the time being, Kita did not care to tell the empire that Silas Karn had currently taken over the throne of the sith. Even if she wasn't interested in the throne at the moment, she did care about keeping some matters private within the sith itself. However when it came to her own needs and ambitions, she didn't care to be somewhat open with Pratuzis oddly. In fact, letting this man know she didn't care to be in war with the inquistors may have worked in her favor in the future.

Silvanius looked towards the doors where the grand inquistor remained in the cantina before glancing back at Prazutis.
She knew if the grand Inquisitor was as hateful towards sith as Pratuzis said, then how could she trust his word? In all, Kita didn't care to die anyhow. She still had not helped Jacobi yet escape his mental prison with Tormentous. In turn, Kita began arguing with herself internally on the idea of giving her saber to them as she clutched the hilt of her lightspear...

Suddenly she saw Prazutis toss a young girl outside with the force. Kota's eyes narrowed as she followed to figure out what was going on. Words hit the Grand Inquisitors ear, *pet, impossible, and Tormentous.* "Stop tormenting her." She said. Her eyes carefully watched Prazutis, she was ready to disarm him if necessary. "Nothing is impossible and death will not be the end here at least." She said to the girl. The Grand Inquisitor didn't know who she was or even why Prazutis was after her. At the moment though the girl wasn't acting in anyway that was alarming.

However Kota knew she was faster and more powerful than both here. 'Looks like that mission is going to be delayed.' She thought. She had been sent to get Prazutis for another mission, one more secret in nature. It's going to wait though, as she needed to deal with whatever was going on here.

Prazutis allowed the girl to speak, chuckling to himself. Ever the way of the Sith, believe you’re manipulating your master until you don’t need him anymore, then attack when you feel the time is right.

Prazutis was about to step forward, but paused at the words of the Grand Inquisitor. It wasn’t often that he worked with her, but less often still did he hear her speak to him directly. Perhaps she was still wary of having a dark side user so highly ranked? Even so wary that she would protect a Sith, the group that Prazutis knew the Grand Inquisitor despised, to do what? Keep Prazutis in check?

Grand Inquisitor. I assume you haven’t met Tormentous’ new apprentice? Assumably the heir to the Sith throne?” Prazutis said, looking to the woman in red armor. Perhaps hearing a title put onto the girl would convince the Grand Inquisitor to have the same type of disposition to her that Prazutis did.

I’m sure the Empress would be more than happy to have a Sith with such a title brought to her in restraints… Alive and unharmed?” Prazutis said, emphasizing the last part for two purposes. Both to show the girl he didn’t wish to harm her, and to show the Grand Inquisitor that he was more than just a Sith with a title in the Empire. He wasn’t sure of her thoughts on him, but he could at least show her he was no brute.

Unlike Kroxata or my other brothers, Prazutis thought, but quickly pushed those thoughts away. Those were memories of a dead man.

As the woman in armor walked out to see what was going on, Kita noticed the grand inquistor had a very intimidating aura. One that even seemed to set Pratuzis back from coming forward to the young sith. This made Kita laugh to herself quietly, a smirk on her face before quickly vanishing to a expression of surprise.

For once in a long time, Kita was taken aback as the woman in red armor had just defended her. Which in her mind didn't make sense since they were enemies.
Now she had a inkling how her master Lord Tormentous felt when Kita started her training the first day with a big smile and waving at him.
"T-Thank you..." she replied as she scratched her head in thought.
"Not expecting a certain reaction from your enemy is unsettling."

Silvanius glared at the bodyless Zabrak.
"The name is Kita Ikari thank you very much. Or to those in the sith, im known as Silvanius."
Despite Tormentous told her that Kita Ikari would no longer exist after receiving her sith name, she wasn't one to leave her true name behind in the dust. Due to her emotional attachment to the existence of Jacobi, she clung to that anchor to avoid drifting to the complete depths of darkness.

"Yes it is Tormentous plan for me to inherit his throne in the future. However, im not as cold hearted as my master is, also i have no true desire for the throne. But for my own personal reasons, i refuse to let any other sith have the position. It gives me leverage for my own plans."

Kita's eyes bore into Pratuzis as he suggested bringing her into the empress. Anger quickly flaring like ice cold hot embers in her fading blue gazs. "Oh no. No no no. I don't think so. I've been dealing enough with the Karn family!" The sith apprentice clenched her teeth at the thought. "I already have Silas being a complete arrogant pain my ass! I don't need any run ins with his kin on top of it!"
That and fixing other issues the Karn bloodline has brought upon Jacobi... she thought as she crossed her arms once more. Kita already felt sadness and pain enough for him alone considering what happened to him. And even Silas had admitted to Kita, he has never seen Jacobi come forth since the long passed Krynn had passed on from Tormentous own hand.

"Key to Jacobi..."
Kita shook her head trying to concentrate on the present away from the mess left behind.
"If you don't mind, I'm moving on. I have things to do." She said casually as she began turning away from the two to leave.
Of course Silvanius was on high alert as she rested her palm on the hilt of her lightspear. If their was one thing she learned overtime in the sith, you could never really trust anyone...even if she wanted too.

She watched and listened to the exchange, Kota felt like she was supposed to be impressed by Prazutis tossing titles around. "A title means nothing if you don't have the power or ability to defend it." She said simply. The Grand inquistor knew from experience what titles costed when one wasn't capable of handling them. The name of Silas did make her blood boil however, she hated that man more than anyone. So she understood why she didn't want to see the Empress. "I understand your hatred of Silas, he has harmed me more than anyone.... (Pauses) Would it help at all if you knew I am in charge of her training? She is nothing like him." She said. It wasn't something public, so it was quite highly doubtful that even Prazutis knew. The Grand inquistor was trying to make this easy without any need for violence. 'It will not be pretty if I have to get involved.' she thought.

Prazutis watched the girl closely as she spoke, and shook his head slowly as she began to move away.

With a small wave of his hand, Prazutis focused with the force, bringing his focus to one of the Sith’s lower legs.

He used telekinesis to freeze her leg in place, not bothering to put too much effort into the action. It was enough to keep her from running, but not enough to freeze her or lift her into the air. It would suffice.

The Grand Inquisitor began to talk to the Sith, and Prazutis froze, listening to her.

He slowly looked at the woman as she spoke.

Would it help at all if you knew I am in charge of her training?

Prazutis was stunned by this sentence.

Excuse me?

Prazutis stifled himself, refusing to say any more. He wouldn’t show the Sith any malcontent within them that she could try to manipulate. But within him, inside the armor, silent…

Prazutis seethed.

How dare the Empire let this woman train the Empress?! She came and went from duty as she pleased and had no true loyalty to the throne! How had she proved her loyalty to the Empire in recent years?!

Prazutis kept the force’s grip on the Sith’s leg, letting the Grand Inquisitor deal with the girl. If she so badly wanted to mediate this capture, Prazutis was fine with her taking over, but he wasn’t letting the girl free to run away while this woman did nothing.

Kita listened as she began walking away.
"A title means nothing if you don't have the power or ability to defend it."
She closed her eyes briefly in thought as a small smile appeared on her soft features. "Exactly why i didn't fight Silas for the throne when Tormentous disappeared on one of his personal voyages. Of course now...i have to deal with a arrogant echani on the throne."
Had it been different circumstances, Kita could have seen herself possible friends with the grand inquistor. But considering what side she was on...it wouldn't have been wise. Although Kita was in-between herself in the sith protecting people on her planet and with what she truly desired as well...
A normal life with Jacobi.
Kita clung to that desire in hopes of making it happen some day, but also had a deep feeling her fate was rooted permanently with the sith.

Suddenly she felt her right ankle freeze in place. Kitas eyes widened in shock as she stared downwards and tried to budge her foot even a centimeter from where she stood, but to no avail. The young blonde Sith grumbled under her breath as she realized there was no talking and simply walking away from this situation. She would have fought her way out if possible, but getting injured and with the grand inquistor around, it would have been a pointless battle for herself. She was currently riding solo. Unlike the other majority of sith, Silvanius knew when to fight and when to avoid it. Sometimes patience was better then none at all. For rushing situations could have had dire consequences.

"I understand your hatred of Silas, he has harmed me more than anyone...
Kita would have asked what it was Silas had done to the grand inquistor, but had no time as she offered information to ease the Sith’s mind of going into the empires custody.

Would it help at all if you knew I am in charge of her training?

Kita found herself frozen in surprise as she glanced at the red armored inquistor.
"What?"
It was obvious to Kita that the grand inquistor was definitely much like herself in some ways. Wanting to avoid a messy situation as much as possible by throwing in the fact she was familar with and training the empress.

It surprised her even more when she turned to read the expression of Pratuzis response.
Kita chuckled to herself quietly in amusement. As much as he tried to hide it, the young sith was good at reading people...most of the time. Obviously this information was kept from him within the empire. Kita could swear she felt the tension of quiet unspoken anger in the atmosphere as he let the grand inquistor take over. His posture rigid as he seemed to absorb the now known information.
"Seems im not the only one keeping secrets." she thought.

Sighing, the young sith closed the her eyes as she lifted her hand over and rubbing them.
"Obviously there is no way out of this..."

Turning her gaze towards the grand inquistor, there was no excitement in Silvanius voice.
"Fine. I'll go...but only if..."
As if on que, Silvanius snapped and turned to the Zabrak.
"You mind letting go of my leg!?"

The Grand inquisitor felt it, anger from Prazutis. 'He knows so little of what I do.' She thought. "Anger will get you no where with me, now release her or perhaps I will report your actions today." She said. Prazutis knew so little of anything, his title blinded him like so many she had seen before. Titles were a heavyweight, she had seen so many times where they were tossed around. No one was ever able to to hold a title, except for her.

It wasn't something she bragged about it was simply something she carried with her. People changed, lost battles and therefore lost their titles, or worst simply died. It was a price with a title and she had made many sacrifices to keep hers.

She watched Prazutis carefully, but the Grand Inquisitor would not hesitate to knock him unconscious if push came to shove.

Prazutis didn’t move. He stared intently, not at the Sith girl, but rather at the Grand Inquisitor.

His gaze tracked the head of the woman, near where her eyes were. She could see easily into the two glass visors where his eyes used to be, and into the black voids that now replaced them.

As you wish.

Prazutis let his telekinetic grip go, freeing the girl’s leg. How strange it was that Prazutis was the dark side user, yet it was the Grand Inquisitor ordering Prazutis to free her.

Prazutis gestured to the girl, stepping back and deactivating his lightsaber, putting it away. He didn’t question the Grand Inquisitor, but the machinations of his mind were already turning. What he could do to fix this, what he could do in the Empire itself to amend what was now a possible disaster for him.

Prazutis would get to the bottom of this once they returned, but until then, Prazutis wouldn’t provoke the Grand Inquisitor any further. Not without the protections of Imperial bureaucracy, at least. When faced with a creature such as the Grand Inquisitor, you’d take any protections you could get.
