His body jolted forward a bit as the Z-95 Headhunter exited hyperspace after a short flight. Raphael wasn’t far from Sith space, but this would be the first time he would have to venture out of it alone. The young acolyte has recently been given more freedom to move about and more solo assignments. This specific task came directly from his father, Lord Blood. The objective was to further the animal taming and exporting business he had prospering in certain underground locations. The two had mutually agreed that it would be beneficial if they expanded their business within the public so that they might sell the luxury creatures to the rich and wealthy.
The silver-eyed man looked upon the bleak yellow planet through the glass window of his ship. Movement all around the planet was a bonus, ships coming and going within the Corporate Sector made this a perfect staging ground for the business to blossom. Although the planet sat under Empire control, it would also give the Sith an advantage if his father were to come into power eventually.
From his research, Bonadan was a heavily eroded planet due to tireless mining efforts on the surface. Raphael had read up on the planet extensively so he would know what he was running into. It was a heavily polluted planet so they controlled their weather by sending in storms often, this would attempt to clear out dense air pollution. Also, the planet had a no weapons policy. Since weapons were banned, he thought it would be good to bring along some that were concealable so he wouldn’t stand out within the crowd. A holdout blaster and a virboshiv within his boot would do.
Gloved hands of the young man pushed the thrusters forward so that he may enter the planets atmosphere. With all the research put in, he hoped he could stay within the shadows as this was more high risk being out of Sith space.
The Headhunter descended to the planet below, snapping and hissing as the landing gear met the surface of the docking bay. As the glass window of the ship snapped open, Raphael stepped out onto the steps one of the docking bay workers brought. Once his boots hit the surface, the worker moved towards him requesting payment. As he had just exited the ship, the worker noticed the grand armor the acolyte was wearing. Plated Bone Armor, from the Reel he and his father had recently slain. The set was not complete as he had not found use for the scales of the serpent yet, but it would do its job.
Raphael straightened his robe to where the majority of his armor was covered. He tied his long black hair up into a knot and flicked the hood of the robe up. Humbly obliging the worker, he quickly paid him and moved toward the exit of the star port. Stepping foot outside of the star port meant many weapon detectors met the silver-eyed man. They scanned him quickly and efficiently but found no red flags were raised. Looking up his eyes met the city, a large one in fact. If his father’s business were to be set up here, it would surely flourish.
The young man knew he was to meet a representative close to the star port here soon. His father had sent inquiries all across the galaxy to find the best possible financial backing, the supporter on Bonadan seemed the most promising. Within a few moments a young girl, roughly his own age, approached him from the city streets. She was a beautiful looking girl and appealed greatly to the young acolyte. Raphael couldn’t focus on that though, he was here strictly for business.
“Welcome, Mr. Xandir. My boss is awaiting your arrival in our offices. She is very eager to meet you and hopes to see your business thrive here on Bonadan.” The girl motioned for the young man to follow.
Raphael nodded towards her and the two moved through the streets towards the office.

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
The LT-3000, Starry Fields, dropped out of hyperspace over the corporate owned world. Ryder looked disgustingly out the view port from behind his two pilots. One of them glanced back and noticed his bosses look.
“You know for a businessman you sure don’t like the capitol of all corporate nonsense,” Trask spoke.
“That’s because this world is the symbol of everything that’s wrong with the Corporate sector,” Ryder replied. “These people are only looking to fill their pockets and lord it over everyone else, I want to help the people of the galaxy.”
Ryder had never visited Bonadan in person before, preferring to do all his business here through others or by holocalls. Today was a special case, he’d receive word through some of his contacts that the Sith may be getting their hands into some of the Corporate sectors pockets. While Ryder primarily hunted pirates he couldn’t stand by and allow the Sith to gain a foothold here so he had left personally to investigate the lead.
Within several minutes the luxury yacht was given clearance to land. As it made its descent Ryder called one of his business contacts on the world. The hologram of a human male wearing finely tailored robes appeared before Ryder.
“Ah, Mr. Ryder,” the figure spoke. “Have you arrived already?”
“I have, are my weapon permits ready?” Ryder jumped straight to the point one the call.
“Oh, I’m sorry to inform you it will take several days, maybe weeks, before they can be finalized, even for a man in your position it is hard to gain the proper clearance.”
Ryder cursed internally, “A security company who isn’t allowed to have his operative carry weapons on Bonadan makes for poor security.”
“I understand your dilemma sir but even Black Star Systems must abide by our laws here.”
“Of course, good day.” Ryder promptly cut the holo-feed. “Whelp, guess if I want a gun then I’ll have to smuggle one.”
He retrieved his black armor-weave trench coat and threw it on over his usual dress cloths. Ryder proceeded to clip his holdout blaster to the inner bicep of his right robotic arm. The arms power signature would cover up any that the tiny weapon would give off. That plus his arms built in stun gauntlet would be all he’d have when on the surface of this polluted world. If all went well he’d find out that his lead was wrong and there were no Sith here.
He took a deep breath and raised his Force mask as the ship touched down in the space port. Lifting a datapad from his coats inner pocket he pulled up a list of several companies his lead had mentioned. Ryder studied them over as he waited for the boarding ramp to lower.

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
Casting a shadow on the street in front of it, a giant tower came into view of the young acolyte. They had been walking for just a short amount of time, but made it deep enough into the city so that he might be able to view all the thriving businesses. Raphael almost stopped in his tracks as the tower they had constructed for their company amazed him. This would be a risky business venture if he were to go through with it; this group diffidently didn’t stick to the background, they were probably well known on Bonadan. Unnerved at the fact that he was taking on so much risk, the acolyte began to be a little tense.
Upon reaching the outside perimeter gate, Raphael was stopped by a handful of guards. They did not carry weapons, yet they were massive beings and heavily outnumbered him. Motioning for the female representative to move away, they inched closer to the silver-eyed man.
“Sorry Mr. Xandir. Just another routine weapons check. We do like to make sure all of our employees are safe within these walls.”
A nod of acknowledgment went her way as he allowed the guards to scan him once more. Each guard did their due diligence as they each scanned him over, thankfully nothing came up. Once complete, they allowed the two to continue to the glass door entrance. From the outside, multiple people could be seen scurrying around trying to advance their business even further. The representative held the door from him and Raphael was quickly greeted by a serene automated female voice.
Raphael looked over at a hologram human female just inside the entrance, “Welcome to the Shade Corporation. Here at Shade, we house hundreds of businesses and their employees, allowing them to thrive under our blanket of protection here on Bonadan. For just a small sum of credits, we offer offices here at the tower, warehouse space, and business contacts all throughout the corporate sector.” This place was impressive, eloquently built and it obviously allowed businesses and its own corporation to prosper.
A tense response was given when the representative’s hand met his back, guiding him through to the turbolift. Once inside they had a quick ascent up to the top of the tower. The lifts doors opened to a magnificent waiting room filled with all of the amenities. He was quickly brought through the waiting room and close to the boss’s office.
“The boss will see you now Mr. Xandir. She knows a man of your position needs to wait for no one.”
The doors were held open as Raphael moved into the office and sat in one of the chairs in front of the desk. The boss sat comfortably in her chair overlooking the city out of her glass window. His silver-eyes could not get a glimpse of the being behind the massive chair. Yet he did see two guards standing in the corners of the room glaring right at him, they were similar to the ones he had met at the gate.
Another tranquil female voice called out, “That will be all Shiri…” With that the representative left the room. “Mr. Xandir. My name is Aola. It is a pleasure to finally meet you.”
The chair turned around and a hand reached out to meet his, revealing a beautiful Twi’lek woman. Her dark purple skin tone was accented by pink marking around her lekku, another very appealing being. Raphael’s pale skinned hand met hers and gave a firm shake. He sat back in his chair and gave her a cold answer by replying with nothing.
“Very well… It seems you are ready to get right down to business, I like that!” She motioned for one of the guards and he brought over a hologram, allowing it to pop up on her desk.
“As you can see we have ample storage space within our warehouse for your type of business. You and your father will be the only occupants of this specific warehouse as it gives you the freedom to expand here on Bonadan and with the Shade Corporation. We also can supply you two with very skilled employees and pleasant offices.”
Raphael leaned forward to inspect the hologram it seemed very spacious. Finally he had heard a proposal worth looking into. Yet, he had to make sure himself that this would be a lucrative opportunity before signing any documents.
A quiet reply came from his lips, “I will have to see this warehouse before we close the deal…”
“That can be arranged, it is just around the corner from here. Shall we talk compensation for the Shade Corporation's services first?”
He nodded back and the two began deliberating.

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
The black haired human marched down the ramp, a crimson protocol droid joining him. Ryder looked to his companion and smiled.
“So CE,” he began. “What do your algorithms tell you?”
CE was in fact an espionage droid and his advanced sensors and programming would be very useful for this outing. “Shade Corporation seems like a good place to start, Master.” The droid responded. “It’s a good place to set up and then spread from.”
Ryder nodded and scrolled his datapad till it showed Shade Corp. He read its brief summery before checking its address. Next he flagged down a taxi and gave them the alien driver their destination.
“Yes you’re right,” Ryder spoke as the taxi shot into traffic. “It would give the Sith access to a strong financial backing as well as the company’s multitude of properties here and around the sector.” He took a deep breath and organized his thoughts. “Once we are inside try and gain access into Shade’s databanks and see if you can find anything related to the Sith or other suspicious new clientele.”
“Of course, Master. I recommend you use your status to gain audience with the companies CEO.”
“I will, CE,” Ryder replied as the taxi pulled up to the out side of the tower structure. He payed the driver for his service and proceeded to make his way up the steps with CE in tow.

“Very well, that sounds reasonable. I’d like to see this warehouse you speak of.”
Raphael got up from his seat and moved to the, examining the city around them. The silver eyes of the young man looked fondly upon the bustling crowd in the city. He was pleased with how well this deal was turning out; his fathers business would soon be generating a hefty stream of revenue. A quiet smirk came over his face before Aola came to meet him.
With a point of her finger she identified a building in the distance, “That there will be your base of operations.” Then as the finger moved she identified another, smaller building, “And there will be your storefront.”
Moving away from the window, the boss lead Raphael out of the room with her guards. They walked closely behind her as the acolyte stepped out of the office. Turning on his heel, the young man turned around to see that the boss wasn’t going to escort him around the city.
“My associate will show you to your buildings. I on the other hand, have other business I have to attend to so that your business may flourish here on Bonadan.”
Aola turned to one of her guards and whispered to him, “Make sure the Sith doesn’t cause any unwanted trouble…”
With a nod from the guard, the gigantic individual moved through the door and slammed it shut behind him. The beautiful associate Shiri began to type away at her datapad on the desk. Raphael began to pace, feeling impatient.
“One moment Mr. Xandir and I will have a taxi service hailed.”
Within the next few moments Shiri would move out from behind her desk and summon him and the guard to follow her. She stood in front of the lift doors and waited for it to make its way back up to the top floor. Raphaels attention turned to behind him, ask he felt the guard breathing down his neck. With a step forward towards the lift, he created a bit of a distance from the guard.
His eyes glanced towards his holowatch as he began to type out a message for his father while they waited. He included the details of the deal and about the size of the city. He noted that they would thrive here under the watchful and close eyes of the guards. The last line of the message stated that the deal would soon be closed once he got a look at the storage capacity of this corporation.
Once he hit send, his eyes fixated on the lift doors again.

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
Ryder marched up the stairs and entered into Shade Corp’s main lobby. He was checked over by a guard before making his way to the receptionist’s desk.
“Welcome to Shade Corporation,” the young woman at the desk spoke as Ryder approached. “What can I do for you today?”
“Good afternoon,” Ryder began. “I’m here to see Ms. Aola.”
“Do you have an appointment Mr...?
“Ryder, CEO of Black Star Systems,” he replied promptly. “And no I don’t but I believe she’ll want to see me.”
The receptionist looked up at Ryder, surprised by his introduction. “I’m sorry Mr. Ryder, but she is busy today, I can schedule you for an appointment” her eyes scanned her screen, “say next Wednesday?”
“I need to speak to her today, it’s part of an ongoing investigation,” He spoke, a sense of urgency being conveyed in his words. “I can go get a warrant and come back with the local authorities.”
The receptionist sat there monetarily stunned. “Umm, let me call her office real quick.” The woman grabbed her communicator and made a call. After a brief conversation where she seemed quite flustered the receptionist turned back to Ryder. “She will see you, take the lift up to her office.”
“Thank you, and have a nice day,” Ryder spoke, a million credit smile crossing his face. “Let’s go CE.”
A moment later they were in the turbolift shooting up to the floor labeled CEO Aola’s Office. The ride was short and the lift’s doors opened with a hiss. The two stepped out and and walked past a trio who seemed to be waiting to leave. Ryder took them in momentarily, one seemed very out of place and almost looked familiar. His grey eyes lingered on this man for a moment before snapping over to spot Aola waiting by her door.

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
The door opened with a snap-hiss and the lift revealed a pair seeming to be in business with the Shade Corp as well. A prominent man stepped forward through the lift followed by his droid. All Raphael would do was glance back to chance a second look at the pair before the lift doors closed launching the trio downward to the main floor. The young man hoped there wasn’t any competing business looking at his space as well, he hoped to look through the spaces relatively quickly and finalizing the deal.
Once the lift opened allowing the three to move throughout the lobby, the pupil began to walk confidently. Eyes glared in jealousy as he was granted a meeting with the higher ups almost immediately after arriving, as the work hard to continue to strive for a status that Raphael was born with. The looks continued until the heavily polluted air could finally be inhaled outside of the walls of the tower. He placed his hood above his head, still not wanting to attract any unwanted attention.
The familiar humming noise of a land speeder could be heard as it awaited the arrival of the three. They boarded and set towards the warehouse positions first, located on the outskirts of the city. Wind immediately blew his hood back off, revealing a glaring look from the giant human guard seated next to him. Raphael shook it off till the man began to feel more and more tense throughout the drive. The land speeder went down a steep hill allowing for Raphael to lean forward and brandish a vibroshiv in the left sleeve of his robe.
Side eyes towards the man revealed something was truly off, “Is there a problem, brute?”
The guard smiled, thinking he had the upper hand. He too brandished a weapon, though it was a small blaster; one too small for his massive hands. “The citizens of Bonadan do not wish to have any businesses here related to the Sith.” The blaster now sits on his massive right thigh, “You will see the warehouse and be displeased, immediately leaving the system.”
Raphael let out a quick chuckle as he eyed that hill ahead. The land speeder glided up to climb the hill, with the change of direction the acolyte took advantage. The blade slid down his left sleeve allowing a firm grasp on the hilt. With one clean motion in the change of direction, Raphael swung his arm towards the man. Thick red blood squirted almost immediately as the shiv met his neck. One massive hand of the man moved towards his throat gasping at the wound, the other for the blaster.
Blood covered the front of the seat onto Shiri, the secretary girl. Raphael grasped for the blaster as the massive guard looked to aim it at him. The two struggled for control tremendously before a bright green flash could be seen. Once advantage was gained over the blaster, Raphael knocked it onto the floor of the land speeder. The air moving through his hair slowly started to deteriorate as the speeder slowed to a halt.
Firm hands met that of the hilt of the blade pushing it in harder on his throat. Raphael had to use all of his strength till he finally felt the will to live exit the guard. A giant exhale left the young man as he leaned back in his seat, noticing the blaster wound in the back of Shiri’s head as she was slumped forward. A sense of disappointment was nullified by the fact that he had finally arrived at the warehouse.
The fact that he was this far out of the city, Raphael figured he could examine the warehouse and storefront before anyone noticed the speeder with two bloody beings inside. He just might be able to explain how both deaths were caused by the actions of the guard and close the deal before any citizens found out of the events. Raphael exited the speeder, dusting himself off and headed towards the warehouse to examine it.

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
“Mr. Ryder,” the CEO of Shade Corp. began. “A pleasure to meet you, my receptionist said you needed to speak with me on an urgent matter?” She lead Ryder into her office where she took a seat at the desk. Ryder approached the large window and took in the view.
“Yes indeed Ms. Aola,” Ryder replied as he watched a hover car leave from the front of the building. “I’m on an investigation about Sith attempting to infiltrate the Corporate sector. Unfortunately that has lead me to your front door.” Taking note of its direction the tall human male turned to face the woman. “So let me ask you plainly, have you been contacted by any Sith operatives and are you working with them?”
The woman flashed a look of surprise before composing herself to respond, her lekku making subtle movements. “I’m sorry that you’ve been lead astray in your investigation Mr. Ryder, but we here at Shade only look at improving the Corporate sector, we wouldn’t be so foolish as to make deals that would do the opposite.”
Ryder nodded, to most that would seem like a perfect answer but Ryder’s years of espionage training read that for what it was, a deflection. “Noble intentions Ms. Aola, may I also ask who that man was that just stepped out, I feel like I may have recognized him.”
Her eyes looked intensely up at her guest. “I’m sorry Mr. Ryder but I’m not in the business of giving out information on my paying clients, sorry I can’t be of any more help.”
Ryder’s grey eyes lingered on her for a moment longer studying the slightest movements in her expressions and lekku. “I’m sorry as well, if any information does come up about the Sith please give Black Star Systems a call.”
“Of course, you’ll be the first I contact.”
Ryder smiled and took his leave. “Have a good evening Ms. Aola.”
“You as well and good luck on your investigation.”
Once in the lift Ryder turned to his droid companion. “Contact the ship and have them send out several observer droids to Shade properties on the outskirts of the city.”
“Right away master, I assume you caught her trying to stone wall us.”
“Yes CE, yes I did.”

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
As the air grew thicker and thicker, Raphael’s lust for the indoor environment grew. His eyes gazed upon the large warehouse building in the distance as he made his trek through the open desert plains. Dust met his face as he tried to take cover behind his dark robe. Once close enough, Raphael could notice no one on the exterior of the building. This seemed to be too easy for the young Sith.
He approached the door with caution, pressing the datapad to allow the massive loading door to open. It creaked open slowly, allowing the sunlight to move in with it. Raphael stood in the entrance of the warehouse, casting a long shadow into its interior. The building was cold and dark; no one seemed to be working within this building yet. The warehouse was already filled with empty crates for the use of the next tenant, along with an ample amount of office space in the far right corner.
Moving over to one of the crates, he noticed that there was a massive amount of dust within this building. He wondered how long this building had been unoccupied and why they couldn’t fill such a massive space. Maybe the tower and the fancy buildings were a façade, as the citizens of this city were not allowing any new business to come in. Ideas ran through the head of the young pupil, business in the corporate sector was looking more and more shady.
As he struggled within his head of all the possibilities, another shadow appeared through the warehouse. It was small and round, yet Raphael had enough sense about him to make a quick dash to hide behind a crate. Silver eyes watched the shadow move through the back of the warehouse as the object floated near the entrance. His gloved hand reached for the blaster that sat on his belt after recovering it from the dead body of the guard.
Peering over the crate, Raphael noticed an observer droid floating around. Whoever sent these; he knew would want to know what happened to the bodies. It was imperative the young Sith not be seen by this droid and its lenses. Raphael brought the blaster to rest upon the crate as he took aim at the droid. He hadn’t had much practice with a blaster, but he had enough confidence in himself to make the shot.
A bright green light painted the darkness of the warehouse as a shot was sent the droids way. The blast sent an echo throughout the whole building as it finally made contact with the droid, skimming the left side of it. It floated down slowly before smacking the ground, circuits sparking.
Moving from the crate and back into the warmth of the sunlight, Raphael went to examine the droid. The observer droid fidgeted on the ground as he had simply disabled it. Its lens caught Raphael’s face so he made sure no one would ever find the droid. With a careless kick he sent the droid flying back deep into the warehouse.
"Damn droid..."
Shutting the massive warehouse doors ensure that the droid would be surrounded by darkness for quite some time before it eventually shut down. He had covered all of his loose ends at this point and decided upon heading to the storefront building, as he was quite confused about the warehouse. The acolyte wanted to see for himself if the store was in similar condition and also if the people were as upset with Sith being here as the guard stated.

Re: Expanding Business (Corran)
Ryder’s hover car sped out of the Shade Corps shadow on the most direct line to their warehouse holdings. His mind wandered as he thought about how desperate or greedy a corporation has to be to get into bed with the Sith. To Ryder it was completely ludicrous to do so since in the end the Sith will take everything for there’s and leave everyone else to eat mynock scraps. His thought were broken as CE began to speak.
“Master, one of our observers just found something of interests.” The droid pulled up a live feed on the holo screen for Ryder to see. The moving image that was shown to him viewed serval dead bodies in a Shade Corp hovercraft. The scene seemed like the work of an efficient assassin or trained Sith. He recognized the two individuals as the representatives with the dark clad individual leaving Ms. Aola’s Office. The observer turned to head into what looked to be an abandoned warehouse where it suddenly got hit by a green laser bolt and crashed to the ground. Ryder let out a curse as the observer caught a glimpse of the perpetrator in its dying moments.
“That’s him, I swear that’s the same Sith I ran into in the canyons on Tatooine.” Ryder blurted aloud in a small moment a fury. “He’s leaving the warehouse, we won’t get there in time, contact click and have him take a team out to the scene and secure it.”
“Of course, master,” the espionage droid replied promptly.
“We need to intercept him before he realized we’re on to him,” Ryder continued. “What else would he need for a business.” He thought for a moment before looking back to CE with inspiration in his grey eyes. “Get me the location of unused store fronts that Shade Corp currently owns, then get us to it!”
Ryder could only hope he’d catch the Sith before any more innocent lives were lost, either way, Shade Corporation was going to be in a load of doo-doo.
