"Very good, Commander. Let us begin." Darik said without glancing back. He ignited his blade once more and rounded a corner, cutting almost lazily away at any unfortunate enough to stand in his path. He sent blaster bolts flying back to their owners, sent bodies flying into walls with bone crushing force. One particularly brazen enemy rushed at him with a mounted bayonet, Darik lifted only one finger and sent him flying into the ceiling pinning him there with crushing force until a stream of blood flew forth and his life sense faded.
Darik made it to the primary weapons system and sent several men's unfortunate heads rolling into the shadows. He surveyed the battle before him, the Citadel itself remained largely unharmed, the admittedly few traitorous ships were being relentlessly set upon by the loyalists and the station's weapons lay silent or, in a few cases, in smoldering ruin. Darik left Kyr to the turbolaser emplacements, mentally slipping switches and pressing buttons he launched several barrages of torpedoes and guided them to precise targets with the Force.
There was a distant flash and where once there had been the minds of many there was now silence. He smiled not once during this, as he might once have done, he simply proceeded with a calm detachment--though some would call it a cold detachment. He let his mind stray to Rhoden, felt calm and control, his brother was already being treated.
The remaining hostile ships moved off and jumped to hyperspace, limping away to be slaughtered on another day. Darik looked to a console, already updated to show the loyalists to the true heir. Good. There were troublemakers and rogue ships scattered around--even a few of the worlds now fell under their control, but by and large the Shadowguard remained true to the Carbine family. Darik remembered the Imperial and shut off the console, thrown in with the Empire the family may be, the assets at their command and any issues in that command were of no concern to outsiders.
"The loyal Shadowguard can handle the rest of the mopping up action, Rhoden will want to speak with you." he said. "Come." he glanced at one of the Shadowguard on his way out, "Secure stations and begin repairing any damage."

Kyr nodded and followed, pausing only to wipe some of the muck from his boots.
He grunted as he felt the adrenaline dump that inevitably comes after a night's work of bloody battle and constant combat. In the past few hours, he'd shot, stabbed, beat, and stomped men to death-he wasn't exhausted, but he was weary.
He thought back over the time as they walked-he'd actually stomped a hole in a man's chest with his boot. He had to admit, that was a new one. Well, if you didn't count Nexu cats, anyway.
He eyed Darik. "How long have you known Rhoden?" He asked.

Re: Family Meeting (Kyr)
"I knew of him since I grew old enough to understand what exactly a family was." Darik said, "You see, I was just an infant when the Empire came about and very shortly after I was taken to be trained as an Inquisitor." he continued, "The only reason I was allowed family connections, I think, is because of how the Carbine family supports each other, and how they train themselves." Darik had many memories of his training, most notable of which--as any Shadowguard would say--was Morikin.
Darik walked into the impromptu medical bay with Kyr in tow and Rhoden looked up from his datapad, smiling. "Ah, Commander. Darik." he said. "Excellent work." He spoke to Darik "I want you to go back to Ops, coordinate with Admiral Bellarus and get our forces hitting the traitors before they can organize. Mobilize all assets and begin working on training regimen to get the Shadowguard back up to standard. I'll take over when I can." Rhoden said. Darik nodded, "I'll stay here and get things running again. Once you're able to resume command I've got business to attend to, Force nonsense, you'd call it." he said, smiling. Rhoden returned the smile and Darik walked off.
"Now, Commander Null." Rhoden said, "I would ask you to forget anything you've seen here, it is of no consequence to the Empire." Rhoden paused, "Keep hold of that blade, and help yourself to anything else in our armories here." Rhoden battled briefly between the desire for some level of security and the gratitude he felt towards the man, "You're welcome to remain here until we're required elsewhere, we can communicate with the Admiral from here if need be."
