Great Minds Think Alike (Rev)

Exiting the turbolift, Raphael instinctively reached out within the force to survey the surrounding area. The force caressed every nook and crack within this room. Grazing ever so lightly across the elegant curtains and clinging hard to the firm desk that Mr. Ryder sat behind. It even found its way around to the man himself, sitting oddly stiff. Surely it was because a known enemy not strut into his office, but something was off.

Another wave of the force came back revealing something foreign about the desk, a weapon perhaps. It didn’t come as a shock to the young man, Mr. Ryder was well versed with the Sith. He knew what to expect most cases; Raphael couldn’t fault him for being too careful.

As Nit introduced the two and began to walk away, Raphael gave an acknowledged look to show his appreciation for bringing him up here and not shooting on sight.

At last the two old foes now stood a couple feet apart, this time without the use of weapons, hopefully. Stepping forward, Raphael found a seat right in front of Ryder as well as his weapon that he now gripped.

“Mr. Ryder,” Raphael spoke, copying his tone. “I am here to atone for my sins,” he added.

Allowing Ryder to chew on that for a moment, Raphael began to look around the room. He observed all that the man had built for himself and all that Raphael had once tried to destroy.

“I do apologize for what I was apart of regarding this facility. You do have to realize though, I had no choice,” he finally spoke up.

Leaning forward to add to his plea, “I never had any choice…. But I do now,” he hoped through his subtle hints that Ryder would understand he no longer followed the fanatics and extreme measures of the Sith.

“Now I know it would be difficult to trust someone like myself, but my eyes are opened and my chains are broken,” Raphael said, adding a little rhythm to his words.

Adding the final touch to revealing why he really was here, “I only wish to see the Sith and my father fall, as you do.”
