He leaned back, swallowing a snort at her dismissal to cull a hatchling. She clearly wasn't a killer. But what child that wasn't an experimented freak or a mafia raised hoodlum, was? He didn't expect her to take the offer so much as he was just abrasively teaching her that the specie she coddled actually ate each other. Even the mother Porgs that knew they had too many children would allow one to starve or outright kill it, and allow the chicks to peckchew it as a resource. It allowed her more time to hunt and find more food for the survivors. Should the girl want to fall upon that was her own choice, but the Hunter doubted she would. He raised both hands, grit still clinging to them from the cavern's floor, in a manner of 'do what you want'. Mentally he watched her when his eye could not serve in the dim glow that silhouetted the girl and her new pets. It was an interesting thing to see her utilize her limited ability and making the most of it. She seemed resourceful enough, and he was optimistic about her ability to make the most of a situation.
As she returned, after ending the life of the fish creature, she pulped it, after the disembowel, and allowed them to feed. He nodded after the nearly inhaled the small fish thing's meat and quickly slept to grow even more. He would have clapped, if he felt like being an ass and waking them up. But now now. She was too fresh.
"Good. You've got an hour and a half before they wake up, and you'll have to do it all over again. After the second night, you will have to up the amount you give them. They will grow a bit more with every sleep, hence why they'll require a bit more after every nice thenceforth." He raised a brow looking at the sleeping bundle, and after watching them a bit more, he returned his gaze to her. "You'll need to manually remove the poop from whatever nest they will be staying in. And you'll have to get it fast, as the majority like to play in it, unless you keep them stimulated enough. Otherwise, they'll entertain themselves, nastily.'' Returning to the diet, he added "They will need a variety of protein starting out, otherwise they will be missing key vitamins, and become malnourished in them, possibly developing insufficiencies and dying prematurely." And really, that was all he could offer her. Turning both the sun and moon of his gaze to her, he watched to take in her reaction.

Aliclair felt a sense of relief as the Porgetts didn't cause a huge ruckus. She stayed on the ground with her peepers while listening to Mr. X talk. Her face shifted into a 'Is that all?" ; she was no stranger to taking care of creatures. She knew the amount of time and labor they required. Her Varactyl mount was 10x more work, labor; she'd need to feed him on a regular basis and even sleep with him so she wouldn't miss a meal time, and she was only age nine.
"I don't mean to boast but Varactyls are a lot more work than what you just told me. Plus, it'd be a good beginning for me to learn. You'll see soon enough; I learn fast. That's one good thing I can say about myself." Ali said, taking a moment to shake off a yawn. She already mapped out a good containing unit for them; a 20-gallon sized area in her quarters, with a light for warmth. He didn't answer her last question; perhaps he had a plan of sorts? Throughout their busy lives, dedication would be the key factor here. "Anything else I should know? In general and not just with the Porgetts?"

She was not impressed. Good! Left it all the more savory when he needed her to clean the teeth of his garrals, or descale his reel. His snort was all he responded to her with momentarily as he stood at the beeping on his wrist. His transport was here, and it was time to depart. Sending a wireless connected number to her, he gave her contact to one of his numbers, one of the 3 he was lording. Meanwhile he gathered his supplies as she spoke to him, explaining her ability to him of supposed responsibility and such. Ensuring he was properly loaded, he began to head towards the mouth of the cave, seawater splashing wet droplets across him with it's vicious pursuit. "Great! As of right now, general doesn't matter. You have babies to worry about, right now. Focus on them, and I will contact you about a certain pack of canids I need procured." She had his link so if she needed him business-wise, he would be available to answer, unless he wasn't.
With that, he turned and began to leave, he wondered if there were any bonecrusher hawklings in season yet, as he headed down the cliffside, and towards civilization.
