Prazutis kept his gaze on Kenobi's every movement, thinking to himself a moment. He knew the Jedi's tactics, their habits... and knowing just how dedicated a Jedi this man was, Prazutis most likely knew the actions he would take before he even engaged.

Prazutis retracted the blade of his lightsaber, keeping his stance but letting his grip rest only in the hilt of his weapon.

"I'm sure that I will... but in due time."

Prazutis felt the approach of his ship, the loading ramp of his shuttle dropping as it prepared to take him away from this place, away from Kenobi.

"I'm sorry... that I've become what I am."

Prazutis saw the shuttle reach him from his periphreal vision, immediately charging his legs with the force and shooting himself into the ship, turning and sending a strong wave of telekinetic force back towards the balcony in case Kenobi wished to persue. He just needed to leave, escape the conflict and get back to the Empire to dig through the data already held within the imperial database that was connected to the relay station.

What had happened to Prazutis in that moment, he wondered? He felt a strange remorse... something he wasn't used to having. He felt no remorse for his enemies, he wished for nothing less than the eradication of the Alliance... but he knew Ben.

No.

Neive Undant knew Ben Kenobi... To Prazutis, he was but another Jedi to be exterminated when he was strong enough to do so. However... remorse, compassion... these created weakness. he had to grow stronger, throw away these memories of a dead man... or else he would never be able to fulfill his task.

“I’m sorry… that I’ve become what I am.”

Words to send chills to the core of a man and as disciplined as Ben Kenobi was, as many worlds as he’d traveled and as many different suns that had touched his skin… he was no different. ‘Jedi…’ Ben whispered to himself as the assassin displayed himself unwilling to continue this bout. Clearly Ben’s own bluffed demand of the fiend being without escape was not taken seriously as he’d had an escape plan the entire time. Even so the man didn’t seem to hold arrogance in that he’d one-upped his foe… but regret instead.

Truthfully Ben was perplexed by this man as he leapt high into the air and gently landed on the ramp of his vessel. The Jedi never had a chance to suppose whether to pursue or not as the blunt hammer of a telekinetic wave thrashed down at him; in response the Jedi disengaged his staff and raised his hand in defense and surely he captured the attack well enough to avoid himself a terrible condition… that wouldn’t be said for his surroundings.

Being not of extensive architecture and under the duress of a previous kinetic assault that had lessened its integrity, the balcony could not stand against a such impressive downward pressure. The supports snapped as if no more than a set of toothpicks and the internal structure crumbled under the assault. Ben’s foundation of stance disintegrated as the floor beneath him vanished inward, the edges of the balcony caving in succession as well as a large portion of the building’s siding. In a display of slow motion the balcony turned in on itself and swallowed the Jedi Master hole and tossed him to the earth below as if all that gravitas behind his supposed legend meant nothing at all.

Preparation for the incoming danger did little for the instance when the danger came from elsewhere. Ben was taken unawares and had he the capability to move he was rendered immobile as his left leg sank into the balcony floor and became wedged.

Down he plummeted two stories and then three to crash to the hard Cerean earth and but a half second later the remains of the balcony came down as well and buried him in a raucous clattering of splintered wood, nails and broken planks. There was no visual of the Jedi Master, he was gone to the outside eye save for his light weapon which crashed to the ground elsewhere and haplessly rolled away from the massacre of construction.

From the same level the guards had rushed to the edge of the ravaged corridor and while they desired to look to the well being of the Jedi Master, they dutifully turned their rifles to the assassin and his starship and opened fire with their small arms. Loathe to allow him a clean escape, their fire was poorly aimed in their passionate urgency to avenge the Jedi though their automatic bursts of fire would make up for it in volume if Prazutis deigned to remain here and view his handiwork. Meanwhile within the embassy an alarm klaxon began to wail and the government building began to stir with life.

For Ben… perhaps his situation would be a welcome thing when faced with the truth that he still could not realize. Be it from blinding himself from it due to his faith in Neive or that he was truthfully ignorant to the matter at hand…

Prazutis only looked at the deteriorating balcony for a moment as the loading ramp shut and the ship took off towards the atmosphere. Prazutis felt through the force, not feeling any loss of life from the building, and he then knew that although he had stopped Kenobi, he didn’t kill him, though he definitely didn’t expect to. Kenobi was a Jedi...

Jedi...

A Jedi... that’s all he was.

Prazutis shook his head and walked to the cockpit to sit beside his droid, activating his comm system.

Destruct sequence 23-19- 05.

Prazutis watched as the ship moved towards he upper atmosphere, the relay station in the distance sparking and blowing into pieces in front of them.

There... no evidence. Let’s get back to Prakith.

Prazutis sat back as the droid prepared to jump to hyper space.
