A wave of incredible silence overtook the interior of the Reverent as the Sith warship navigated out of the system and flashed off and away. No sooner had the enemy departed than the bridge crew set about their hushed, excited chattering. In the eyes of the less-shrewd members of the staff, they had seemingly strong-armed a vessel three-times their better in terms of size and arms. Vassyl, and his reliable XO, in contrast, displayed no sign of calm upon their complexion. The enemy's reaction was bizarre, more so than either man could have possibly predicted. Doren had felt that serious debate would have become a feature of the dialogue. And yet, the Sith wasted no time in departing, when they could very well have called the Captain's bluff in terms of resistance.
"They've gone Sir", Lieutenant Torbough softly addressed his superior, as if trying to convince himself of the present reality. "So they have Lieutenant", Doren offered back, a similar strain of unease lining his voice. Vassyl paused for a moment, and then turned to his trusted associated, adding with a weak smile, "But I suppose we can ponder over this development after we provide relief supplies to the surface yes?". With a glint of enthusiasm returning to his eye, Vincent straightened up into a firm salute, and announced, "Aye Sir!", before setting out to accomplish the Captain's will. Doren nodded in light his compatriot shift in tone, and continued to float his gaze out the viewport and across the luminous sphere of Sembla. The day was won, but it seemed a broad, challenging, and deadly mystery was to be the price.

Rain of fire and destruction, that’s all the they saw from behind the shields and wall. The bombs fell as what ever pilots flew the bombers retreated but that didn’t mark their safety because laser fire came down from the upper atmosphere, scorching the earth, while such weaponry was inaccurate at this distance it still cause fear and panicked but as quickly as it started it stopped. Without warning everything became silent, Ryder looked out just as the shields faltered and dropped. They had held out but the CEO had no idea how or why the Sith stopped when they had their prey cornered.
“Sir!” One of the Imperial officers yelled as he rushed to Ryder’s side. “Comms are back up, Captain Vassyl is in orbit and sending relief teams!”
Ryder’s grey eyes turned to the young man, relief filling his face. “This is good news, it seems we owe our survival to the good Captain.” While calmness showed across the CEOs demeanor, inside he was burning, a passion to bring the Sith to their knees renewed. The pain they brought was unforgivable and now Ryder knew he couldn’t beat them by just chasing down their acolytes when they left the safety of the Reach. He needed to move on the offensive, something he couldn’t do alone or with the resource he currently had.
“Send him a request to join us down here, I’d like to thank him in person.” Ryder informed the officer. “I’ll be in my office, and also make sure to get a full record of all the damages.”
“Yes sir,” the Imperial replied, clearly just happy to be alive.
With that Ryder would retreat to his office on the upper levels of the spire.

"I must confess, you attract some very interesting company Mister Ryder", Doren began with a joking tone, "I will have to be mindful of this trait in the future". Sitting down across from his corporate host, Vassyl reveled in the sense of being on solid ground. Given the grim prospects of the battle prior to his little miracle, the Captain had been uncertain as to whether he would ever set foot on a planetoid thereafter. And yet, to his continued amazement, the Sith had accepted his half-threat, half-bluff, leaving him with a rather unorthodox victory under his belt. Still, the Sith's uncharacteristic acceptance was baffling to say the least, and a analytical disquiet lingered in the back of Doren's mind. Even so, there was much to be celebrated this day.
"Once we've buffed out those scorch-marks, I assume business will resume as scheduled?", Vassyl inquired, a hint of seriousness permeating back into his voice, "I would hate to see this incursion bring Black Star to a stand-still". Yes, Ryder and his enterprise had emerged as a rising satellite, indeed, a sun for the Empire's resource allocations. With time-tested experience and a crack staff, the enigmatic entrepreneur and holdings had proven to be a valuable asset. And, having been a significant figure in acquiring the group's loyalty to the throne, Vassyl had a vested interest in ensuring the company flourished within Imperial borders. For his part, Doren had grand plans in store for cultivating the prestige of his sovereign host, and Ryder was to be integral in bringing such designs to fruition.

The landscape surrounding the complex was covered in burning craters of slag from the Siths orbital bombardment. Fires still burned as Black Star crews rushed out to prevent a wild fire from spreading towards the traveling clan in the area. Ryder’s eyes gazed out from behind his dura-glass wall, absorbing every detail of the Siths destruction this day. Fire burned behind the grey eyes, a fire to seek justice for the wrongs the Sith had brought. With a deep breath he composed himself before turning to face his friend and savior this day.
“It’s seems I’ve poked the Mynock nest one to many time but you need not worry Captain,” Ryder spoke, his voice was smooth, unusually calm. “Black Star’s assets across the galaxy will continue to work around the clock, this is merely a reminder of why we do what we do.” The CEO walked back to his desk and took a seat across from Mr. Vassyl. “But to tell the truth I honestly thought today was my last, tell me, how did you manage to fend them off, my reports told me that our defense force was out matched?” It was a question he needed answered before discussing the real reason he ask the good Captain down.
