***YT 2000 Talon***

His brow was furrowed with self inflicted wrinkled. He was quietly meditating as he waited for Aliclair to link up with him and they were set to travel to Kashyyyk for a nice training session in the Shadowlands. But she had not arrived. At first he was not worried at all. A Padawan had the tendencies to find themselves in interesting situations and it was part of their growth and part of his faith in her that did not see him running after her at every odd turn of evens. He had to trust in her judgement… and he did. But as the time ticked to thirty minutes without an arrival or a call he sat down to meditate to calm his own restlessness.

But in the throes of his meditations he spied the future and what was revealed was enough to shake him to the core. He saw a pillar of smoke and her Eta-2 Actis-class Light Interceptor was on the ground, shattered glass littered the mountain side… Mountains, she was in the mountains. Rain pelted the area in a horrible downpour. His thoughts concluded initially that she had crashed due to the rainstorm. Even so he saw the lightning arcing, a virulent wave of power… and Darkness.

He could sense something terrible out there but he did not know what. Further into these visions he looked until he felt the Dark presence of one he knew all too well but it was confirmed to him when he glanced the foresight of the one sword being stabbed into the ground, blood and rain running from its horrible shining edges.

Ben Kenobi’s eyes snapped open in a rush and he nearly fell over with the sudden break of meditation. “Aliclair.” He whispered.

Ben stood up hastily and rushed to the cockpit of the Talon. Within moments the YT 2000 was banking around and rocketing back towards Ossus… her engines red lining and Ben’s fears growing ever more that he was already too late.

…It Pours…

Tears or rain ran down her face, she was not sure and she did not care anymore. She was done running. Now was the time to take a stand against this monster and she was not about to take it lying down. Tightly gripping the ice shard in a reverse grip she edged towards her opponent cautiously. One wrong move and it was over. Fighting to calm her nerves she took a deep breath and reached outwards with her senses and searching for his first strike which she would counter and deliver a punishing response. Unfortunately nothing with the Dark Lord of the Sith was ever so simple.

She felt sudden and imminent danger coming behind her, not in front of her. But she had not come this far not to trust in the training her Master had drilled into her. Bending at the waist she rolled her body into a flying cartwheel and in midair she went completely horizontal while her legs launched into a swift set of kicks. The first missed but the second rolled right around and right on target as her senses guided her she kicked the large stone Tormentous had sent her way and it flew towards him.

The Dark Lord leaned aside and the stone crashed hard into his shoulder. His armor soaked most of the kinetic force but it would leave a nice bruise. He laughed almost as if he was being entertained but she did not appreciate the levity. She launched left in a feint and lunged towards his right hip. He pivoted away and sent a backhand to clobber her for her trouble but she sensed his strike and flew into a combat roll, recovering and spinning on her knee, lashing out and pointing her hand to unleash the frozen dagger from her hand. It was lightning fast and as he turned to face her the ice speared into his side just underneath his ribs. He was shocked from the blow and he looked down at it with anger growing on his features. He had anticipated this to be a formality… to beat the Padawan down handily and be away from this world… here she was not only putting up a fight but making him bleed for it too.

Aliclair’s roll had brought her to her lance which she hefted and activated. The rain pattered and sizzled against the electrified blades and afforded her an occasional yellow reflection across her own features. Her eyes were stone serious and her teeth were clenched in determination. The tears on her face were bitter reminders of her previous fear. She was still afraid… sure. But now she found her fighting spirit.

Launching onto the attack rather than let him decide when and where to make the move, she raced in and thrust her lance into a feint aimed at his belly. Before coming too close she dropped the tip to sink into the mud in which she vaulted over her opponent, spun in the air and lashed vertically as a saw blade bringing the edge of her lance to the small of his back. She was met by a solid contact, his forearm slammed into the haft of her spear and a heavy punch obliterated her defenses at the sternum. She flew backwards and crumpled end over end into the mud, came back up, flopped backwards and landed on her rump. She was out of oxygen and her lance was gone. She gasped for air and scratched herself up to her feet. Stumbling around she got to her feet and balanced herself down into a fighting stance.

Tormentous was no longer satisfied with waiting and so he charged her. Without oxygen Aliclair’s options were limited. His bull rush came fast and she screamed in defiance and made a counter charge. Her race ended abruptly with a leap into the air and he grabbed nothing but air. Both her feet landed firmly between his shoulder blades and she flipped up into a front flip to gracefully land on her feet. Tormentous took the blow hard and fell forward into the mud digging a trench in his wake.

When he stood up he was as an enraged Reek. She was right back on him sending a spinning wheel kick to his chest, he blocked easily but failed to guard two back to back jabs, she was starting to get into a groove but it was very and suddenly put to a stop. Tormentous was never considered a slouch and when he caught her, he punished her.

She sent a heavy haymaker up to his chin but again the Dark Lord blocked and this time countered with a massive front kick to her shin. Her leg felt as if it might snap like a twig and she fell down to her knee, he stepped into her and brought his knee up to crush her face, both her hands came up to defend and she did easily stop the attack but suddenly she was snagged by one massive hand to the back of the neck and lifted as if she was a fly. So much massive pressure was put on her neck she instantly felt her throbbing heartbeat in her brain. He reached out with his free hand to deliver her an enormous straight left hook to her stomach but she still had some fight and his incoming fist was caught between her thighs. With a grunt she twisted and with momentum to her twist she broke free of his grip and pull him over. They both fell to the ground.

But fighting against a mountain brought incredible fatigue and she was a second slower in getting up. He grabbed her ankle and yanked her to him. But she took up a handful of mud and threw it into his face. It stunned him and she wormed free, grabbing her lance she spun it into a balanced stance and she was set to impale him when it all suddenly went south… very fast.

His fist shot out and instantly her neck was being crushed. She grabbed at… nothing! The power of the Darkside flowed through the Dark Lord and his eyes flashed with hatred at her inexplicable defiance. Aliclair scrambled kicking her feet as she was lifted into the air by an invisible hand and she clawed at her neck at hands that weren’t there. He was going to kill her right there. Her lance dropped to the mud. More tears leaked from the corners of her eyes. She had failed…

As the world went dark Aliclair thought of her training and with nothing left to lose she looked to the Dark Lord and focused her mind. Despite feeling incredibly light headed Aliclair formed barriers in her mind and upon her presence in the Force. Her Force Shield shot up with a brilliant light… and she fell to the mud coughing and struggling to look up in one last show of defiance.

Tormentous frowned. She was fighting to the end and he did not appreciate it. Once more he rushed the Padawan coming at her first with a front kick which she blocked outright with both hands. Seemingly though expending the last of her strength. As he came in again he stuck his knee in her gut, she folded over to the impact and from there he snatched her arm, twisting it around and pinning it against her back while his other arm wrapped around her neck and he squeezed.

Lifting her into the air the Dark Lord gave her no taunt as she had proven her tenacity here today and he did not release her until her kicking and thrashing had finally ceased. Limp and unconscious, Aliclair went quiet. Tormentous huffed in annoyance, she was a tough one…

Unconscious and at his mercy the Dark Lord hefted the Jedi Padawan over his shoulder and walked her back to his speeder bike. Recovering his sword before departing. Mounting the bike he draped her in front of him, holding her up as he sped off into the downpour. Once arriving to his Sith Infiltrator he loaded up his bike and tossed her into a force cage which suspended her drenched form up into the air and slowly rotated her in place like some trophy but before throwing her up into the cell he frisked her - thoroughly - twice.

Tossing her belongings into a bin and securing them away - she would not be needed them from here on. All this occurred while his ship AI fired the engines of the ship and shot the Specter off into the skies of Ossus towards the sparkling twilight of space.

Aliclair Austjor was a guest of Darth Tormentous now. Her fate was to be determined by his will and now she was truly lost to the Jedi - forever.
