Brutus moved into position as he waited on word to move closer. They had them, all was needed was for them to drop their shipment or cause them to board. He felt ready to board, though the Grand Inquisitor might see otherwise. He will probably be forced to fall back should they choose the boarding action. He wouldn't be happy about that, but he couldn't change it.

Kota moved around and simply waited, they were to loss the cargo or force a boarding. She waited for them to make a choice or soon she would force on. She wasn't afraid to shoot them into making a choice. At this moment it was a patience thing, however as the Grand Inquisitor she couldn't show her normal amount of it or someone might think to much.

Zechs had never really noticed how weird hyperspace was. It was swirl of light bent around whatever it was hyperspace was. He was no book person who read about this type of thing, but it sure looked weird. Where did the blue come from? Who decide to make it blue? Could he shift some cable and make it a pleasant orange? These were the pressing matters he debated in the cockpit of his faithful YT-2000.

He spun about. Two turns left. Half a one right. The ration cache called his name. He didn't reach for the sandwhich Rebo had made or the fruit Zooty had insisted he take. No, he went to the bottle of "water" he had stashed in the side pocket.

This was going ot be a short trip but long enough one that he needed to break the mental ice of staring at blue. He knew he should have brought a droid with a conversation circuit worth a darn for company or perhaps a box of old literature. Anything had to be better than nothing.

In a fighter, all he could do was stare and let his mind wander. Here, he had ample room to do anything. Some might have cleaned their gear. Some might have done maintenance. Some might have studied the fine art of sleeping. Zechs? He took a drink and paced. It felt right.

Rhoden watched as the convoy dropped out of hyperspace and smiled. It was a small convoy, to be sure, but that just made Rhoden's job easier. He took the Firehawk forward in a burst of speed, the Starwing pulling up alongside the larger ship. These convoy raids were, at least, a fairly routine guarantee of action, and pay.

"Your family sells blasters, don't they?" Haly asked Rhoden, "Blasters, turbolaser components, tibanna, most things you can name that have a military function, and plenty that don't. Sell 'em, design 'em, invest in 'em." Rhoden shrugged. "Why do you ask?" Haly gave a small smile, "Just wondering how much you profit from shooting the Empire's tibanna." Rhoden smiled innocently, "Now, now, you make it sound as though I'm all about the credits." She snorted and fell silent as they turned their full attention to the impending confrontation.

Solle slowed down the thrusters of the Serenity, not willing to go head-first into the battlefield without any orders from the higher-ups yet. He understood the fact that is to "catch them off guard" but there is no need for one or two ships to dive into battle when you have the whole team synergized and attack at once, possibly ending the battle in one swift blow if one were to be smart enough. Solle gripped the controls of his TIE Avenger, ready to move on a moments notice. He gently moved the TIE Avenger below from the other Fighters that were around him, ready to play with the benefits of the ship attributes instead of abusing them. It's speed and firepower were a force to be reckon with and the TIE Avenger can fight well against other ships in a dogfight, there was no point in engage in a mindless fight when you can simple end one quickly before the enemy knew..

The Pilot sighed, thinking of his "mantra" as he awaited for further orders. The mantra was simple "Complete the objective, protect your fellow pilots, and then worry about yourself if anything where to come an issue instead of the objective, clear that first instead. He repeated this a couple times in his head, Solle was not the type of person who was willing to sacrifice or leave his own comrades in need for the mission, it was against his own moral code.

The muscles of Doren's face tensed as he pushed the SLAM system to its limit. Maneuvering alone was not enough to claim victory. Despite the XM-1's impressive array of shielding and weapons systems, its best asset was by far its speed. And, as a tactician of limited starfighter experience, Vassyl sought to conquer, and bend that potent speed to his will. At first, the sheer ferocity of the g-forces prevented the young captain from using the SLAM drive altogether. Countless hours of trial, error, and vomiting eventually saw the Doren skills develop. Slowly at first, until such a time that Vassyl achieved a baseline level of comfort. Nonetheless, the phenomena itself still produced a physiological shock each time the Captain brought the Proudclad to bear. Gritting his teeth, Doren depressed the main drive controls, and sent himself and the chassis barreling forward. Regardless of how prepared he might actually be, Vassyl mentally readied himself for the possible skirmish that lay ahead. One way or another, he would tie up the loose ends: by any means necessary.

The Tie-D kept pace with the rest of the raiding party, waiting for the potential convoy to drop into their laps. Baron did one last diagnostics check and everything came back green. He pulled his fighter alongside the Tie-A since they were the only Ties in the group he thought it best to stay close.

The ATR moved in with the YTs, it’s heavy canons would be decisive in disabling any larger vessels that the convoy could be using and if the reports were correct there would be at least one Action V.

Everyone seemed to be ready, Baron could now only hope that the convoy would use this hyperspace connection.

Brutus would follow suit in an attempt to disable the shipping vessel as well as the Grand Inquisitor. He was just happy that this time he was doing better rather than the last time where he pretty much had to run like a rabbit. Whether or not he was successful in hitting the ship didn't really matter this time. He would take this simple step as progress in the right direction.

She watched as she also sensed Brutus, he was far calmer this time. Still more progress had to be made, but it was hopeful. Kota moved more into position, hopefully their motions would disable the shipping vessel and not damage the cargo. They needed to get this cargo after the last time the pirates raided, it would at least make up some of the loss.

The Deceiver came out of hyperspace to see a force of Imperials charging in an odd direction as if they saw something he didn’t. It was odd. It was like they didn’t know how to read their sensors. Was the Empire slacking in basic training? Did they see something he didn't? His vision was a little fuzzy.

Still, they’d come around soon enough. That or he was about to find out there was something worse than a "rebel" to an "Imperial." What did he care? Trouble was just trouble laced in troubling troubles of troubliation ready to be de-troubled with blaster fire.

Zechs kicked the YT into the gear. Step one was to confront these bullies. Step two was to get the sweet Naboos out of there. His faithful pilot droid was already on the calculations. Soon the Empire would stop chasing ghosts and chase them. It’d be a dance that’d probably hurt. He was glad to have eased his sense of pain. At least his YT could take more of it than any TIE.

Outland 02 shot out of hyperspace, with Buggie trailing not far behind within his starfighter. Almost immediately after reversion, the sensors came alive with multiple contacts, more than this small convoy would be able to fend off. Buggie jumped into action, activating his ship's comm unit and contacting Gary Storm aboard the Outland 02.

"We've got trouble. Send a tight beam transmission to our agent aboard the Galactic Alliance transport and tell him to stow away somewhere other than the cargo hold. Something tells me those holds are going to be dumped as we scramble out of here. Prepare the Outland 02's cargo holds once you've made contact. I'll have to buy us time in my fighter, but as soon as our man is safely stowed away on that Alliance ship, we're punching it out of here," Buggie directed.

"Roger, powering up the deflectors," Storm commed back.

Power to shields was about all Storm could do until the convoy could retreat. The Imperial raiders outnumbered them and no doubt would cause some damage before the convoy could flee.

Rhoden keyed for his frontal cannons and prepared to fire, Haly began flipping several switches and monitoring the shield and engine systems. Dot hovered in and connected to his usual access station to fire the missiles.

"Engaging, keep the cargo safe, destroy the escorts." Rhoden said. If the convoy leader was smart he'd just drop the cargo and run, they were heavily outnumbered and there was precious little chance they'd be able to survive long enough to escape. Rhoden heard from somewhere in the back of the ship as Stalker began humming gleefully, no doubt at the prospect of impending battle, and even more distantly came Jorvan's cursing.

Rhoden smiled and Haly snorted with laughter, he rolled his neck and prepared for the initial shots.
