He sat in the cockpit, looking at the ships assembled, he was ready, and through the Force he had gotten a sense of a restlessness, he could not pinpoint the source , maybe it came from him. He always felt like a caged animal before a fight. He could not pinpoint the source nor would he try. He came into this op with the full intention of cooperation, if this alliance was going to work everybody would have discard vendettas otherwise it will fail.
Warvanus had limited dealings with the Empire, there had been that one officer he had worked with, Rhoden was his name it had downgraded to blatant hostilities as they had both been after the same asset. In the end that asset got away. He had hoped that these Imperials were better to work with.
He made sure the flight recorder was recording everything so that he could load the data in the simulator, to examine his moves and ways to improve them. But if something did not happen soon the Sith Lord would begin to die of boredom.

Re: Outland Mining - Flight 0918 - Blue Star Pirates
((OOC: Per the announcements post here:
Jay did the roll this morning and the interception was successful. Since no one joined me as an escort, I automatically lose, since I cannot participate in any generation related to this shipment.))Ben Kenobi wrote:Note to Shippers/Spacelanes participants: just a quick reminder, only escorts or shipping vessels with defensive capabilities may participate in generation. This goes for pilots as well, namely the Action V and Bulk Freighter. If you're flying these vessels you will not be able to contribute to the space raid generation.
Clarification:
Shippers is utilizing one Action V and one Bulk Freighter - cannot participate in generation whatsoever.

The twin Action V transports were in position, ready to enter hyperspace. The R1-series astromech droid within the bridge of the Outland 02 had charted a safe route to the convoy's next destination and all systems were running in the green for the jump to lightspeed-- that is, save for one pulsating warning on the shipboard computer that escaped the notice of both Storm and Buggie.
As Storm initiated the hyperdrive, the screams of metal upon metal pierced throughout the ship, followed by a number of thuds and bangs. Buggie and Storm looked at one another for a fraction of a second before frantically checking the ship's systems. It seemed, for whatever reason, that the cargo bay doors had not been properly secured and the entire cargo hold had emptied itself out into space the moment that the ship accelerated into lightspeed.
"Same case for Outland 01," Storm reported, his voice relaying just how sick he felt from reading the bad news.
An entire shipment of cargo had been lost, now floating freely outside Iliabath's atmosphere for whoever wished to take it. Aborting the jump at this point was out of the question, as the danger associated with aborting mid-jump was well known to all spacers worth their salt. Storm and Buggie would just have to continue on; the weight of what had just taken place burdening their thoughts until they could make up for it on their next shipment.

Re: Outland Mining - Flight 0918 - Blue Star Pirates
Doren was unenthusiastically combing over the collected holorecordings from Black Star and the Sith, when the old reliable node network broke the silence with an announcement siren. Almost immediately, Vassyl cleared his screens of the nascent strings of data, and set to work interpreting the new intelligence streaming across the Proudclad's interface. At first, the numbers and radar signals seemed to suggest a wreck or small-scale explosion. Upon closer investigation, it became evident that a sizable gaggle of cargo had been set free from its host, and was now drifting freely about two systems over. [Look alive team, we've just received quite the hit], Doren began, a slight air of satisfaction bleeding over the comm, [Sending coordinates now].
***
Exiting hyperspace in a brilliant flash of light, Vassyl and his associates soon found themselves confronted by a steady stream of lost luggage. Clearly whoever had dropped their cargo had done so at a moment's notice, and while their ion trail provided the potential for pursuit, the Captain deemed securing contraband as the primary directive. [All Imperial craft, you will escort Black Star assets while they supervise the retrieval op], Vassyl called out, renewing his orders, [Leviathan, please establish a defensive patrol around the dump site, if some other third party tries anything, I want to be made aware of it in advance: we shall organize a care-package for you to deliver to your masters after the bulk of the materials are collected]. A token gesture to be certain, yet an important one to make in the spirit of diplomacy. After all, Sith hands were seldom empty.

He had been patrolling close to the Imperial strike team, when the comm came alive, with news and coordinates,
it sounded almost too good to be true and maybe it was. Maybe it was a trap and he would have to engage in battle.
The idea quickened his blood. He began program the navicomputer for the short hyperspace jump that was by his estimation
Just a couple systems away. When the Navicomputer finished its course, he laid it in and soon thereafter the starlines
Expanded before him and shortly was in hyperspace.
***
The ship came out of light speed and as they approached he detected no crafts nearby, the ion trail they could follow but
That would be pointless, especially since it left what looked like a bounty. He wondered if they trapped any of the containers
That were spread out like discarded luggage. He did a quick scan of the cargo and on preliminary findings he found nothing sinister
About it, he stretched out with the Force *Danger Sense* and the Force was silent. He pressed his lips together.
His thoughts were distracted when the comm came alive again. He flicked the switch “Acknowledged” with that he began a patrol, engaging
Long range sensors as he made a defensive patrol, weapons primmed, ready to blast any scumbag who tried to steal their bounty. One thing
Was for certain in the mind of the War-Bringer, Lord Blood would be most pleased.

Re: Outland Mining - Flight 0918 - Blue Star Pirates
Back into hyperspace they went on their way to what ever Doren had spotted. The jump was short but gave Ryder enough time to have the weapon systems warming up in case of danger. The Tie-D and ATR dropped out of hyperspace just behind the rest of the Imperial and Sith vessels. The bounty that laid before them was almost to good to be true, it was a treasure just waiting be taken by whoever passed by.
Doren's instructions came through clearly and the Tie-D became doing a patrol around the floating mass of cargo. Ryder stepped into the back of the ATR where he dawned his survival suit before joining the droids who were originally going to be a boarding party. Once the hold was sealed off from the bridge of the assault vessel the back doors opened up to space. The droids began filing out, attached to a cable, to retrieve some of the closest crate for inspection while everyone waiting for Black Star's cargo haulers to arrive.
Ryder watched as the first droid returned with a sizable crate and after doing several scans to see if it was rigged or trapped he finally gave the all clear to have the rest of the droids return with what they had retrieved. With the hold resealed Ryder ordered the droids to open the crates they had retrieved, with a hiss their cargo was revealed. The human walked over to inspect when an audible whistle escaped his lips.
"Captain, we got weapons, heavy ordnance, stims, mods, medical supplies, everything military grade," Ryder spoke into his comm unit. "You might want to see about tracking whoever dropped this."
Within the hour the bulk freighters arrived and began rounding up the floating cargo to be hauled off to an ISB inspection facility.
