Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
Aylin gritted her teeth. She shuddered with cold, but she was covered in sweat. She winced as more pain lanced through her at her own movement. She took deep breaths, "Bareil!" she shrieked, "Markus Bareil!"
Rhoden sneered at the words, almost snarling. He had known, really, but it didn't make the confirmation any less infuriating. Bareil's end would come. But he was proving to be a far larger threat than he or the Other One had anticipated.
Rhoden ran his hand through some of the blood pooled around her arm. Given such actions it was always possible the subject might lose too much blood, but there was sufficient medical equipment available to prevent death in that eventuality. He looked at the crimson stained glove and swiped it across the woman's face, leaving streaks of blood across her face. He stopped over her mouth and she gagged as she tasted her own blood.
"Very good." he said to Mora, "Perhaps a new approach. I want you to be fully versed in interrogation by the end of Ms. Garis's stay with us." the woman shuddered at his soft spoken words even as pink-tinted spit rolled down her face and chin as she tried to rid her mouth of the blood.

Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
Mora raises an eyebrow.
"Markus Bareil?" She looks up at Rhoden for an explanation, but he ignores her look and suggests using other tools to make Aylin talk. Mora sighs and grips the knife handle. "I'm afraid the rules have changed my friend." She slides the knife back out of Aylin's arm drawing only a whimper out of her. The jagged edge drips with crimson blood that glistens in the artificial light.
Mora places the bloodied knife on the cart and looks over the other tools. The tubes don't appeal to her at the moment, she'd rather be able to hurt the subject at the same time she gives the answer. So Mora focuses on the varied hand held tools. Her eyes land on a contraption with a metal coil.
"HUD." She murmurs into her helmet and typing appears next to the tool. It can heat to the temperature of molten metal and burn the victim's skin away. Mora smiles.
"Where is Markus Bareil's base, Ms. Garis?" Mora picks up the contraption and flicks it on, the metal coil begins to glow a faint red. The woman shudders. "Ms. Garis," Mora moves the contraption over the woman's body, the coil is now glowing yellowish-orange. "where is Markus Bareil's base?"

Aylin's eyes widened and she opened her mouth, but no sound came out. She tried twice more to speak before words came. "I... i don't know. Please! I don't know!" she said, she coughed weakly at her dry throat and the lingering taste of her own blood.
Rhoden thought it likely the woman was telling the truth, and the machines would come up with their own fairly accurate assessment of her sincerity after a few more attempts. He looked to Mora, expectantly.

Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
The woman's plea sounds sincere, she knows Mora is not afraid to hurt her, but she could be lying to avoid the pain. Mora lets the contraption continue to hang over the woman's body as the coil heats up to a bright white. If the woman was working for this Marcus character, how could she not know where his base is. But is Marcus is a singular person working in the galaxy, than it is possible he would contact Aylin remotely or in person at a rendezvous spot and not his base.
"Alright Aylin." Mora removes the contraption from over the woman's body, "Next question, how long have you been working for Mr. Bareil?"

Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
The pain of the coil on her body ceases but where it had lain still throbbed, the smell of burned flesh assaulted her nose. She coughed again. She had heard stories of Imperial interrogations. People who had been forced to recall memories they didn't know they possessed, so pained and chemically inhibited that they didn't remember the interrogation. This was nothing like the stories. They weren't dragging every piece of information out of her with ease. No. They were deliberately taking their time.
She let her head roll to the side as much as could be managed and just stared blankly. She didn't want to feel anymore. She felt tired.
Rhoden looked down at the woman, "Let's use something a bit more potent now." he said, grabbing a needle and handing it to Mora, "This should get us all we need. We'll get her fixed up and you can come test out some other instruments later." he said, "Get her to recall personal information, names, anything you want." he shrugged.

Mora turns off the contraption and switches it for the syringe Rhoden holds out.
"Alright." She slides the needle into the woman's arm and injectes the drug into her system. After waiting a minute to let the drug take affect, Mora begins asking questions
"Do you know of anyone else who works for Markus and if so who dies." She gives the woman a moment to answer.
"Have you ever met Marcus and where did you meet him?"

Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
Aylin took a sharp breath in as the needle pierced her skin and fed a burning chemical into her system. For about a minute she felt as though fire was eating through her every vein but the pain faded. She was left with nothing but a dream state, she found she coudln't struggle against her bonds anymore--she couldn't even feel them. She felt dizzy and distant, disconnected from her own body, her vision seemed distorted.
The faceless woman asked more questions. She answered without hearing her answers. She listed off names she knew--knowing she shouldn't but incapable of caring regardless. "I've never met Marcus, orders were always relayed through intermediaries." she said. More questions followed but she was no longer lucid enough to keep track of them.
The woman answered all of the questions, some would need to be reiterated at Mora's hand or another within the next few days but none of the information surprised Rhoden. They had names and a few locations but nothing that would be of use. Records could be altered and they were unlikely to purposefully capture anyone Aylin had listed. The locations she had listed were more than likely abandoned due to the simple fact that she had been captured.
She would die. Painfully. Rhoden knew this, he was comforted by the fact that her utter uselessness in his hunt for Bareil would be punished in the utmost. But it did not negate the fact he had nothing new to go on. He had began to feel a growing sense of unease with Bareil and his enigmatic goals. Would he assault the Empire? The Alliance? The Sith? Worse still, would his history with Rhoden be revealed?
That was a simple answer. Even the man himself tried to hide that history, neither of them would let someone outside of their trusted circle survive after having found out the truth. Or perhaps Bareil would. The Other One had, for once, failed completely in his analysis of an enemy. But Rhoden saw the man's weakness. He was kind. He cared. It was a disposition that could harm Rhoden himself, but it was also one which could be used against the man to great effect.
"Whenever you're ready for training with blades just call me. Your program will have access to appropriate lessons for blades, and anything else if you really get into practicing." he said, turning back to Mora.

Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
Mora difts unaware around her room. Training with Rhoden had been ruff, but the excitement and harshness of the interrogation had given her adrenaline and covered up the bone aching exhaustion. Now it all comes rushing back and Mora drops helplessly on her bed. Her eyes drift close and Mora falls into a star lit void.
Everything hurts. Mora groggily wakes up and groans when she tries to roll over to find her whole body aching. She should have stopped fighting Rhoden sooner. Walking to the mess hall the aching seems to fall away a little and eating something helps wake her up. After eating Mora does her scan of the room. Nothing is out of the ordinary and with that Mora returns her tray and walks to the holodeck, pinging Rhoden to let him know she's ready to continue training.

Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
Rhoden walked into the holodeck, smiling broadly. He reached out and grabbed a replica of his Shadowguard blade--the blade itself incapable of properly cutting, of course--out of the air. "And so begins the art of the blade." he said. "A lot of the smaller stuff is pretty similar to what we've already done--you just need to think about where the blade is in relation to yourself and your opponent." he said, shrugging, "Same moves made to accommodate your blade."
He snapped his fingers and an opponent appeared. It carried a jagged looking blade. Rhoden lunged, feinted, kicked a leg out from underneath the holographic man, and slashed his throat. The program, ever realistic, let forth a gurgling squelch that Rhoden smiled to. The warm liquid approximating but not quite reaching the thickness of blood flowed over his hands. "This program is rather brilliant if I do say so myself." he said proudly as he stood and the blood vanished from his hands. He had, in fact, created the program with existing resources and his own code. It had taken a little work to learn some of the new technology but he was happy with the result.
"Let's see, first, how you do just with what you know." he said, snapping his fingers again.

Re: Combat Training (Mora, Rhoden, Desade)
Mora drops into a ready stance and ducks out of the way as a new opponent attempts to punch her. Copying Rhoden, she pulls a knife similar to the dagger she stole out of the air and smiles. Even though the knife isn't sharp, it still give Mora the same sense of control over life and death. She ducks under the man's next attack and stabs him in the back where she would have punched or kicked him. A sick clinch accompanies the knife into the man's back and a blood-like substance seeps out. The man falls over and dissipates.
Her eyes gleam and a wide smile breaks across her face.
"Oh I like this." Mora giggles staring approvingly at the fake knife.
