Inquisitor building

Post by Lady Kota » Tue Jan 30, 2018 2:46 am

Occ:,copied from the old site by bug for reference. I'm cutting the part where she thinks about the Droid because those are changed to the ones I have been working on.

Bastion
She made her way to an abandoned building. It hadn't been  used in some time,  reconstruction was going to take time, a s well as filling it. She stood there in her red armor and helmet eyeing the building. Kota would have to get the old records and sort through them to make sure same mistakes weren't being done again. The last time this office existed in the Empire it was full of corruption as the Emperor and Vader were under control. She was neither, the dark side held to much over the Empire. It was time to change. This is the office where she would start.

...
The data records were removed carefully by the construction team, as was anything else of value. Kota wanted to do this herself, but the building was deemed unsafe. So the crew themselves had to do it with safety harnesses. It was better this way anyway, she could see to a new design. Also there would be no reminder of the Emperor's hand in the office. Besides she could see herself destroying the building anyway, if it had been safe, just because. Kota was to start fresh with this position, the building, the rules, what is done, just a few of the things. Though she did wish she didn't have to stand here in her armor and helmet. Just the looks she got some times of fear made her a bit uncomfortable. She was just Division Alpha to them, Argus's hand for the nasty jobs, there was no real report on what she did. Just that when she was required it wasn't to play nice.

...
When everything was safely moved, they started to tear the old building down. She pulled up the new plans on a nearby holo table. Kota wanted the new building to blend into the surrounding buildings rather than stand out. This was so that anyone attempting to target the building would have to know exactly where it was to threaten it. The inside was to be different, underground was to be the new prison for force users. Up above on the ground floor would be welcome center of sorts. Training floor above that, research above that, then offices and council rooms.
...
Months would pass by the time they had dug the prison out. She showed up every day to make sure things were going well. The prison had a simple design, a lift would be installed to transport a prisoner up or down. The lift itself would only stop two places the prison level and the security floor which was at the very top above the offices and council floor. It wouldn't be on the blueprints for records, but it was to reason that if security failed those on the next floor would handle it. After all only the top inquisitors would be up there. In the prison itself would have force cages installed, as well as cameras for each one. The cameras would be at a station in the prison and upstairs in security, two eyes watching at all times, as well as two alarms. A separate power source would be installed from the rest of the building for the prison as well as a backup. Kota thought underground some where but that might be a risk. She would have to get a second opinion on whether or not that was a good idea.

...
While she waited to figure out how to wire the prison the shaft in which the lift would be placed was being built. It had to be thicker than a lightsaber could cut in a matter of minutes. Kota wanted it to take hours to cut through, buy this time security would be on the escape. How one got their lightsaber back would suggest that there was an insider. Such a thing wouldn't be kept in the prison, but in security. The shaft would only have a security floor exit and entry. The prisoner would be flown in and blindfolded, while in force shackles to prevent them from trying anything. This way one didn't know the layout of the complex without being there.

...
With the wiring being done a decision had to be made on where the power generator was going to go. Kota decided to place it underground about twenty feet from the prison unmarked on the official blueprints much like the security level. The backup would be twenty feet from the building in the other direction, again unmarked on the official blueprints. One couldn't be to careful when it came to designing a prison that was an Inquisitors office. Some of the crews started the holes where the power generators were to be placed. She would make sure a crew was able to access the generators for maintenance, neither would be easy or marked for security purposes.

...
Once the shaft reached above ground it would continue up. To make it not stand out it would be masked as a support pillar for the rest of the building. This way guest wouldn't know it was there nor would it be an obvious eye sight. Unless someone knew it was there or saw the unofficial blueprints it would be unknown. Construction of the main welcome floor would begin. This would be open to all imperial citizens, for them to get basic information on the inquisitors and their role in the Empire, even a tour to a certain point. Just to assure citizens that they were protecting the citizens.

...
It would be several more months before the first floor would be completed. They had to make sure that all the support pillars matched the width and length of the shaft going to the prison. This was to farther ensure that it would not stand out. The floor would be decorated upon completion of the remaining floors, it would hold the Empire standard in the entrance along that would be a smaller symbol of the Inquisitors. One she had not designed of yet, but it would be there to distinguish them from the regular troops. Kota hoped that with time perhaps the symbol would be on an Inquisitors outfit. Granted the Empire would need more than just one, but that would come with time.

The second floor would be training, much like troops would. One would be physically and mentally trained on this floor, with training rooms. Any training would take place, they would not be hiding the fact that they were force users. The citizens needed to embrace the fact that not all force users were Jedi or Sith. This was a concept long lost on this galaxy.

...
Each training room would be built to with stand some amount of force use. Kota thought about building another facility not far from this building for more powerful force practice. However this project needed to be finished before such a project could start. The rooms would be padded too, didn't want anything to harmful to happen.

The next floor would be research, all kinds. A room for data, anything the Empire had or knew even rumors. There would be a few rooms for experiments, they might be necessary, along with a few medical rooms, in case they were needed.

...
It would be months longer for the third floor to be completed. The data room would have access to imperial data bank as well as one for the Inquisitors to build upon. It would be essential for them to have knowledge and build upon their own. Once the building was complete Kota would start the Inquisitors data bank and fill out a few things, it would wait however at this point in time. The experiment rooms would have access to science equipment of all sorts, anything a normal scientist would have. Nothing would be hidden here as far as experiments went, this was open for the public to see. One couldn't have a force user creating something devious, it might cause concern for the Inquisitors to be shut down,  she couldn't have that. Finally on this floor provided a medical wing, it would be filled with the last technical equipment and technology as far as treatment went. One couldn't be to careful, not everyone could heal themselves or others. One needed to be prepared for the worst.
...
The forth floor is where the offices of the Inquisitors would be along with a council room. Kota thought hard about these offices and the council, she thought about a rotation system rather than ranks. No one outside the grand Inquisitor would have a permanent place up on this floor. This way no one got to comfortable or would be held accountable should it be necessary in front of a council of equals. Which got Kota thinking about the symbol of the Inquisitors. Rather than a symbol with that of the Imperial crest they could be distinguished by the uniforms. She thought they would be red much like her's with a black Imperial crest on their right shoulder. An elevator would connect from the welcome floor to this on, making sure it could stop on each floor that was public.
...
More months before this floor would be completed. In the center of the offices was the council room, were most cessions would be able to be witnessed by the public. They wouldn't be able to weigh in on the problem in, but suggestions would be an option at the welcome desk. However not all matters would be a public spectical as any prisoner trail would be closed doors, as would anything serious.

The grand Inquisitors office would be like the other offices except for the closet. Hidden behind it would be the elevator to the security level, the only elevator up. This elevator too would be like the shaft to the prison. One simply can't be to careful when it came to force user.
...
The final floor, security, marked on the official blueprints as storage. There was no public Access up here, in fact there was a private docking bay, big enough for "shipping" vehicles. They would look as such, but in fact were prison transports. Each one armored to the teeth with weapons, armor, lightspeed, and the means to hold a force user. Force cuffs, a ysalamiri, stun guns, blindfolds, anything else the Inquisitors would need to transport the force user.
Cameras would also be everywhere, including the public Access areas. All cameras would be ran up to here at multiple stations. Kota knew humans tended to make mistakes, hell she made them, however with more than one station the chance for something to be missed was far more unlikely unless there was an inside job.

...
It would be more months for this floor to be completed and finally the building. There would be a secure deposit for the weapons of the force user. One that a key would be needed, not just any key though. One would need the key from the grand Inquisitor, there was another means of opening it. However one would have to remove the ysalamiri from the ceiling to do so. Its bubble would just reach the deposit, the deposit was integrated into the metal in the floor. So one wasn't moving the box unless one had the means to cut it. It was doubtful that one would, unless again there was an inside job.

Inquisitors would take turns up here along with troopers of the Empire. The troopers would be restricted to this floor unless they took a transport out to get "supplies". The private docking bay would close down immediately upon a single alarm. It wouldn't open again until the override was pushed, also in the grand Inquisitor's office. The alarm itself would be that of flashing lights to the Inquisitors, they would go off much like a fire alarm. Simply flashing lights meant that they were needed were the public couldn't go. It was also better this way, so that the citizens in the building would not be alarmed and cause chaos when it wasn't needed.

...
The ysalamiri would be a pain the way she wanted it and she realized it. It would require a lot of climbing just to care for it, not to mention potential devastation for the building just to have some semblance of the tree for the creature to hang from. Kota frowned upon this, having it any other way was counter active, so what was she going to do? A small force generator around the weapons was a good start, this way one simply couldn't pull their weapons to them. However Kota wanted something else there, something that would be capable of handling a situation much like the Inquisitors should. 'And perhaps the Empire on a grander scale.' She thought. Her fingers started to flip through the nearby book. This was the dark side compendium that the commander and her had found in the tower. She had taken the liberty of keeping and translating it, as the dialect seemed to be older in nature. With her skills as a force user surely she could refine something in here that would be more beneficial. Kota stopped when she saw the Giants picture, it stated by it Imperial Sentinel.

...
The way the sentinels were described in the book described a lot of time and darkside usage. The cloning part took time and was unpredictable even with darkside influence. Kota knew from personal experience how the dead reacted when messed with. So she was apposed to these types of sentinels. She wanted something as gigantic, mindful, and less darkside influenced. 'There has to be something.' She thought. She then remembered the droid she had hastily put together on hoth. 'Perhaps I can refine it.' She thought. If she could reconstruct such a droid, it could possibly serve the Empire outside the Inquisitors as well.

...
A droid would take far less time and the programming could be like that of a sentinels design where they don't speak. It could also be in the programming were only Inquisitors held commands over the giant. This might need approval, but programming can be altered. Kota felt that the programming could be protected in the best way possible. Over all programming could be hacked, but she would look into ways to make it extremely hard to do so. She thought about possibly having the copy of the programming not on a server anywhere. Perhaps deep in the Imperial banks themselves.
