Aboard Koda Station, Master Vassa and her padawan, Adar Bolner, were in a mediation chamber. They were training Adar's Force abilities, and it looked like it would be another normal day at the Jedi Academy for Adar. That was when Antarian Ranger Kilt Vindon showed up.
He had some free time, and decided to check up on his friend and assigned padawan.
"Master Vassa, Padawan Bolner! I hope I am not interrupting."
"You must be Ranger Kilt Vindon. Adar has told me about you. Please, join us. Adar is about to showcase to me his control of the Force."
"That sounds... interesting...". Kilt did not understand, but he tried to be supportive.
Adar did not greet his friend, because he was just beginning his meditation. Not that he did not want to, but it was important to focus on his goal right now. It was small sacrifices like this that would make him a great Jedi later.

A calm, lethargic feeling set out all across his body and mind as he meditated. For a moment it felt like his soul, his very essence and being was leaving his body, as only he and the Force remained.Through the Force, he could see and feel the world much like he would normally, but from a different angle. It was like seeing many threads connecting everything, with ripples going back and forth as people moved, or even as things simply existed in harmony to their purpose. Adar could, as a Force sensitive, manipulate the Force around him, essentially sending out his own, powerful ripples in the Force. But now, he tried to go deeper into understanding how to control the Force around him.
He reached out with his hand. He knew that it was not required to do this, but the young padawan found it easier to yield results if he focused the Force in his hand. It was a mental ritual to maintain focus, as well as a practical technique. His breathing was slow, his senses enhanced, his will focused. He had one simple desire, one request to be manifested by and into the Force. To move the cube in front of him. He wanted to lift it up in the air, move it around and then move it closer to himself. Adar focused, feeling as the Force responded. He felt what can only be described as energy or potential coalesce in his hand. That mere act alone was enough to disrupt the flow of the Force around his hand, and as it grew in intensity, so did the deformation of the Force around him. But the Force was not dispersing or dissipating, it was like a small whirlpool had formed in Adar's hand, situated in the endless and deep lake that was the Force. Whatever water was around this whirlpool would be swept aside and funneled into it. And despite all that, to an outside, non force sensitive observer, the Jedi Padawan was merely extending his hand while focusing.
Adar slowly pushed this Force energy towards the cube. Despite his hand standing perfectly still, he felt like it was extending towards the cube, passing through the air and the Force itself, which seemed to guide it where he wanted it to go. Upon reaching the cube, the Force enveloped it and begun to apply real, physical forces unto it. The Force was somehow both an immaterial, spiritual energy and a real, physical mechanical force. This fact always pleasantly surprised Adar, but it also exited him for what potential the Force had, as well as the potential he had within the Force. But with everything being ready, Adar mentally visualized the cube lifting, and it indeed lifted.
He moved it around, left right, up and down. He even rotated it around. He had an exceptional motor control of the cube, and could move it freely or even just leave it suspend it in the air for as long as he wanted. But as he played around with it, he noticed something new. Something that was always there, but he had never noticed it in the past. The cube felt increadibly light, if not completely weightless. This must have been because he wasn't the one who was moving it. The Force was. So, perhaps whatever weight he could feel was from the ripples in the Force from his control. This was completely fascinating. If that were the case, then he could try lifting heavy book stacks, steel rods, or even entire ships! But that was for another time. For now, he continued to try new things.
For a moment, he let go of his control of the cube. He could gravity assert itself again, pushing the object towards the floor. But right before it landed, the young Padawan reached out within the Force and grabbed it. The cube stood motionless a few centimetres up from the floor. He then went to lift it back up, but had a better idea. Focusing on the side of the cube facing the floor, he pushed the cube, which shot up towards the ceiling. It reached its maximum height, half a meter before hitting the the ceiling, and then it fell back down. As Adar tried to grab it again, he misjudged its position, and thus he applied the Force to on if its sides instead of the whole cube. For a moment he panicked, but his faith in the Force and himself was too strong to shake his resolve. He watched, almost in slow motion, the trajectory of the cube. He could even see where it would go next! This was new, and hard to understand. Like looking into the future, if the future was set in stone. This was undoubtedly something the Force was showing him, but he did not understand how or why. Nevertheless, he caught the cube, and set it back to its original position in the shelf. Satisfied at his progress, he exited meditation. He reached out to grab his glass of water, but he instead brought it to his hand with the Force. Adar would have been more than happy to do this more in his day to day, but he could feel that all these unnatural disruptions in the Force, however small, were not a good thing. He knew that doing this constantly would have consequences, from the Force itself. He wondered then for a moment how did the Force do all these wicked things with the Force and managed to withstand the consequences. It was something he would never do. He vowed that.

As he got up, both Master Vassa and Kilt Vindon were there waiting for him. His master congratulated him for his progress, and for working so hard. She did however urge him to remember he still has a lot to learn. Kilt on the other hand fist bumbed Adar, saying how cool what he just did was. Adar smiled, and exited the mediation chamber with them.

"And so, one can change the world around them by channeling the Force to do what can only be described as extraordinaire."
Master Vassa was giving a lecture on Adar. But Adar had been bored ten minutes ago. He had already understood what todays meditation and Force training would be about. All the extra words were making him daze off. After finishing her lecture, Master Vassa poked Adar, who immediately got into an attentive posture.
"I hope you weren't staring into nothing from the beginning." Adar felt ashamed for his actions. As a Padawan, he had to be better. This wasn't some math class. This was Jedi training.
"No Master. I got all the important bits. But I will try to not drift off next time."
Master Vassa smiled. She could feel that her padawan was genuinely trying his best, but everyone has their flaws. Part of the padawan training is to minimize said flaws. But that was for another time.
"Now, you brought your vibroblade?" Adar nodded and placed his blade in front of him. "Good, set it off to the table. Now, as I said, focus on it, and then channel the Force into yourself and then towards the blade. Do not worry, I am here to ensure your safety if something goes wrong. Trust in the Force, and it will aid you."
[ Begin Alter lvl 1 - 400 words required ]
Adar focused on his vibroblade. He could feel the Force around him, ready to assist him, should he will it and allow it to happen. But it was all so new, so confusing. What his Master asked of him was to break the natural, physical laws, and lift something off the table without touching it. He had seen so many Jedi use this skill on so many thing and with such elegance. At first he tried to copy their movement, but that did not work. It would seem that the answer was once again in the Force. He turned his focus from the corporeal to the incorporeal. Everything was as usual. And that was the problem. How could Adar use the Force to create change? The Force was enormous, and at times it looked to be immovable, unless one was to use force to command change. But he knew that was not the way of the Jedi. So, he focused once more.
Through the Force he could see his vibroblade. It was standing where he had left it, the Force all around him and this blade. He imagined for a moment that he picked it up, and that he was bringing it towards his hand. It was moving towards him before finally landing in his hand. In reality, it was still unmoved. But this gave him an idea. What if he he channeled that thought of his, along with his will and desire to move the blade, through the Force? Was that enough to make it really happen? The young Padawan desided to try it.
He channeled all of his willpower through the Force, wanting simply to move the blade. In the beggining, nothing seemed to happen. then he noticed strange patterns in the Force. Like small pockets of Force energy manifesting or rather coalescing from the Force itself. They slowly grew larger and moved closer towards him. Adar simply observed in awe, trying as hard as he could to maintain his focus. Soon, this enigmatic to Adar Force energy manifested in his hand, and he noticed that he could command it. It moved towards the vibroblade, and it wrapped around it much like a hand would. Yet it was still connected to Adar, and thus he retracted this energy that was still gripping the blade, and to his astonishment, the blade moved. Slowly, but it moved. he lifted it up in the air, and brought it towards his hand. A few times he almost lost control and dropped the blade, but he managed to keep it mostly on course. He noted that despite being a relatively heavy object, it felt much lighter to him now. He thought it must be that way because the Force is doing the heavy lifting, and not him directly. That didn't mean it was an effortless action. He was sweating like mad and was feeling weaker than before. But even with all of that, he managed to grab the blade with his actual hand. He had done it. Before speaking with Master Vassa, he noticed that this "Force Energy" was disappearing back into the Force, now that it was no longer needed. How curious. He would need to study this again later in the coming weeks.

Re: Light,Peace and Knowledge [Adar Training]
The courtyard of the Jedi Temple was very busy early in the morning, as everyone was doing physical and Force-aided exercises. Most of the padawans were doing strength and core activities, while other Jedi were testing how long their stamina could last them when aided by the Force. Delila and Luke, two padawans at the temple upon Koda Station, were finishing their exercise for the day, when they spotted a friend of theirs. Adar Bolner. The young padawan had set up what looked like a vaulting platform, and was trying to jump over it.
"Hey Adar. You finally had a breakthrough in your athletic career?" said Luke. Delila giggled and joined in the fun "This is an impressive height. You'd win a lot of competitions. Assuming they don't deny you on account of being force sensitive".
At first, Adar did not pay them any attention. He was very focused on getting the jump right this time. He came to about 10 cm below the post, and as he landed he let out a sigh, and turned to his friends.
"You know, I am very close to getting that jump. My master insisted on me trying to use the force more for control and less for sensing. She says "A balanced Jedi is a strong Jedi". So I've been here all morning trying to master it, but it feels so weird. Like trying to swim up a river"
The 3 of them laughed and made some quirky remarks about Adar's setup and today's exercises. After that, Luke asked a question that caught Adar's attention.
"Hey, how come you are doing all this fancy force stuff and I am still doing basic sense stuff?"
Delila seemed embarrassed that Luke had asked Adar that question, but at the same time she too wanted to hear Adar's answer. The young man could feel their frustration, and perhaps their jealousy.
"My friends, I can understand your frustration. I've felt that many times. But don't compare yourselves to anyone else, and be patient. Mastery of the Force isn't exactly a work in the park. And I can assure you, if you stay patient and focused enough, you will become stronger. And trust in your Masters." He took a pause to think. "And don't look at my results only. There is a lot of time and a lot of effort behind everything i have learned until now. I've been trying this jump 1 month now." As he finished speaking, he tried again. 20cm below the bar. "See?" he gestures towards the bar. "I'll keep at it, until I master it. And you will too. The Force is here to help us. All we have to do is be patient."
In truth, it was perhaps not his dedication, but his more mature attitude. Despite being here only a year, Adar behaved much more like a seasoned Jedi Knight than a padawan.
His two friends looked at each other, and with a determined look, headed for their force training, but not before saying goodbye to Adar. Adar smiled and, after a short break, tried again to master jumping with the aid of the Force.
Adar took a few deep breaths. Breathing helped him keep calm, and it was also how he found it easier to regulate the Force that flowed within his body. He could feel the Force moving throughout his body in circles, like the blood that flowed around his body. And like how that flow had the heart at its center, the swirl of the Force also had a center. Whether this was what some books call a soul or something like his center of mass, he did not know. But for right now, he was focused at its movement. It currently moved from his chest to his arms and back to his chest, and in a similar way moved to and from his head and legs. The flow to his head was the strongest, and there were inbound and outbound threads of Force movement, but right now he needed some aid with his jumping.
[ Begin Force Jump - 300 words required ]
The young padawan focused entirely on the Force. He slowly but surely blocked out every other stimulant that was around him. So much so, that if someone yelled his name right now next to him, he would not hear them. Or rather, he would not pay attention to them. Such was his concentration, and it would need to be maintained for him to master his Force aided jumps. Using the pace of his breathing, he moved the Force towards his feet. It felt a bit rough at first, like trying to rerout a mighty sea. But with Adar's mind becoming more and more in line with the Force, the two essences mixing, it was as easy as counting to 3. The moment it happened, the moment he resonated fully with the Force, he felt a shiver run through him. He was now ready to begin.
The Force now flowed towards his feet. A weird sensation for a human to feel. It was almost like he was lighter. Like gravity had lessened its hold over him. But he could sense that the concentrated Force was pushing against the ground, creating this lightless feeling. Indeed, the Force had taken a physical presence around and bellow his feet. The next thing he did, was ready himself to jump, he coiled his feet, and readied himself to push against the ground. Like the click of a drop pod, he physically jumped, pushing against the ground. But of course, there was more than that. He controlled the coalesced force around his feet to act like an engine, giving him a lot more movement and upward momentum. That, of course, was not enough, and he missed the bar by a few centimeters.
Unphased by this, he tried again. He did exactly as before, focusing on the Force, moving it into his feet, and preparing to jump. But this time, he controlled the state of the Force in his body, so that he became even more lightweight than before. The Force in his feet would function as a catapult, and in the rest of his body, a gravity cancelling force. He jumped, and the result was majestic. It was like the Force had manifested a hand, and was pulling him upwards with incredible speed and grace. The young padawan had done it. He was sure that this skill would be useful out in the field, a place where he spent just as much time as he did here in the temple. And with that thought, he went to call his Master Vassa in order to showcase his new power.

This time, Adar managed to clear the bar, and by once more controlling the Force in his body, he fell down gently.

Re: Light,Peace and Knowledge [Adar Training]
~~You know, I once lived in a lovely garden... beautiful, orderly, green and calm. Next thing I knew the garden was gone. My life was gone. Working day in day out on a factory, working from sunrise to... well, you know we never see the sun. Isn't that right, Adar?~~
"Adar?"
"ADAR!"
Adar is jolted awake from his slumbering state. He looks around. The meditation chamber 12 aboard Koda Station. Right, he wasn't on Naboo. Hasn't been so for a while. How long, anyway? Time seemed almost to stand still sometimes. He kept looking around, shaking his head and relaxing his shoulders in order to regain his composure. All the while Master Vassa is sitting there dissapointed. After all this time, Adar should know better than to fall asleep during Force meditation. She takes a breath, connecting with the Force intimately for a moment, before speaking again.
"I would expect from the younglings to fall asleep during meditation". Her tone is scolding, but always understanding. "But you have never done so. What happened?". She locks her gaze unto Adar, as he starts to come to his senses fully.
"Master, I... I'm sorry. However, I am not sure that was a dream. More like a memory. A very vivid one." The padawan felt ashamed. He started getting up, picking up his cloak and his training saber. "I don't think we should continue any further for today. I am distracted... and that won't help with my training."
But before he could leave, Master Vassa grabbed his hand. Adar looked at her in surpise, confusion even. "You are always so quick to make assumptions. Relax. Breath." Master's tone had shifted. Curiosity was now at the center of her words. "You are still attached to your past, is that correct?" Adar took a step back, Master Vassa still holding on his arm. "You saw it too?" "No, I felt a shift in the Force as you said the word memory. I knew that it came from you."
Adar stood motionless in the room. Unsure of what he should do. What he should tell. A fear swelled up in him. Fear of the Dark, fear of abandonment. All he could do was look at his Master. "You need not fear right now. Our attachments make us strong, yet vulnerable to the influences of the Dark Side." she pauses for a moment, searching for the right words. "There will come a time when you will have to face your past, your feelings and your fears. But for now, I think we should continue training your connection to the Force"
What followed for Adar was a brief moment of hesitation. He knew he shouldn't question his Master, the Jedi way, or even the Force and his destiny. But he did. And yet, where others would faulter and flee, Adar remained. He sat down again. Master Vassa followed him, ready to guide her padawan as far as he needed her. "Alright then. Remember, the Force is like a river. Some may try to build a dam. Others try to swim against it, twisting the river and its surroundings. But we..."
"Flow with the river. Connected by the river." "And empowered by it."

Adar sits still, legs together, arms relaxed and resting upon his thighs. Letting himself be taken to a point of absolute focus. To a point that everything else around him slowly fades, and only the Force remains. The Force was, as always, beautiful, vibrant, yet simple. It flowed in impossible ways and by impossible means all around Adar. He focused on his Master's words. "Force, river, flow, connect, empowered". He was always trying to flow with the Force. But he too was part of the current that created the flow he followed. Perhaps he could shift it. Change that flow in a way that went through him, making it easier for him to use its energy. Like building a well to draw water from an underwater lake. Well, he had to try
First of, he immersed himself in the flow of the Force. He had done that so many times that it was as easy as breathing. This great, mighty river flowed through him, carrying energy, emotions and echoes with it. It was time, the padawan thought. His first few attempts were ruled by fear. Instead of elegantly altering the flow of the Force, he jabbed it a few times, and nothing really changed. Except that Adar became completely exhausted. But he did not relent. Master Vassa was there with him, guiding him and most importantly encouraging him to complete his task.
Adar struggled for some time with this, as he did with any new Force power. He was afraid, for sure. But fear and hesitation leads to failure. He strengthened his resolve, and tried again. "Flow with the river, and gently bend it in order to allow the Force to flow through you". His Master's words were all he could focus on. He felt the flow of the Force all around him, through him. He focused, and slowly begun to chang its course. It felt hard to so. Like trying to stop water from flowing down a hill. Yet slowly, it became easier the more he went on. The more his desire for the Force to change its shape and tragectory so that he could connect with it more easily, the faster it happened. It was like the moment a fighter docks into a Mon Calamari cruiser. It all clicked together, until finally he had done it. The Force flowed through him, making him feel more connected to it and its energy was felt much more intensly. Satisfied at the result, he stepped out of meditation.

"I think I've done it Master". His voice was brim with relief, and a hint of pride. The young Padawan was smilling, more so from his achievement than any sort of happiness.
A warm smile formed in Master Vassa's face. "Well done padawan. Shall we go celebrate with a warm dinner? It's on me."
Adar chuckled. "Alright Master. Though it's not like we pay much for dinner at the temple anyway!"
Master Vassa frowned a little. "It's the thought that counts, Padawan!"
"Adar?"

Re: Light,Peace and Knowledge [Adar Training]
A padawan sleeps in his room, lights turned off and a blanket messy around his body. Outside, the sun had just peaked above the mountain line. The Jedi temple in this Unknown Regions planet was starting to wake up. It had been snowing gently over the past few days and there was no indication that it would stop anytime soon. The planet was at the start of its 8 month long winter period, an unusual phenomenon for a planet with a breathable atmosphere. Of course, there was a very strong presense of the Force in this planet, so despite the hardship the Jedi had set up a temple here. It was in this place that Adar Bolner along with his master Vassa Gorben had been stationed for the last few months. "Observing Jedi traditions and holy sites" was the official reason, but master Vassa was always occupied with other matters, per the Counsil's request. Still, she always made sure to give to her padawan his lessons.
Adar was jolted awake from his sleep by his alarm ringing. He was still getting used to this early morning, even after all his time training as a Jedi padawan. He quickly got up and followed his usual morning routine: He made his bed, opened the lights, wore his normal attire and padawan robes, washes his face and teeth and headed for breakfast. The folks at the temple were all very warm people, unlike the cold weather outside. After enjoying his morning, he went to meet his master.
Master Vassa was meditating in her room, sampling the flow of the Force. She sensed her padawan entering the room. Exiting her meditation, she opened her eyes and got up to greet him.
"The Force trully is a mysterious but wonderfull thing."
"Perhaps your weirdest greeting yet Master" said Adar with a warm smile.
"I hope I am not late"
She looked at the digital clock out of habit, but she already knew. "On time actually. Well done. You might yet become a Jedi Knight" she said with a smug tone.
"Let us begin then master, so that day may come sooner!"
The subject of Adar's recent lessons had been centered around Control, or a focus of the Force within. He was getting very familliar with manipulating the world around him with the Force, as well as sensing others and energies around him. But when it came down to how the Force moved and worked within his own body, his understanding was lacking.
[ Begin Control lvl 2 - 700 words required
Adar focused once again on the flow of the Force. He could feel it influence and be influenced by all the surrounding things, living or not. He felt it crash on to himself, not unlike how a wave crashes upon a sandy beach. At the same time, the Force moves through him, as if his existence does not have any presence in the Force. Or rarer occasions, the waves both mighty and small take another path. Whether it is the path of least resistance, following the example of the electrons, or some chaotic path depends each time on the way Adar and the Force interact. Every wave was different, its ebb and flow changing by the way it interacts with the material world. Adar refrained from looking outwards, tempting as it was to explore the source of those waves, and focused inwards on the flow of the Force as it moved inside the young padawan. Like breathing, the Force went in and out of his body and mind. It started from his skin and followed a set path throughout his whole body. Its final destination was his very essence, or soul as some people called it, and then went back out to the wider world. The flow was as always fascinating, but something else caught the young padawan's attention. Something he had not noticed before.
The Force... its flow inside him was not random. He knew this by observation, of course. But he finally saw the source of that deterministic path. A source of the Force that seemed to originate from him. He pondered on this for a while, even being tempted to come out of meditation early and ask Master Vassa about it. But suddenly, it clicked. What he was feeling was his own Life Force! He suddenly felt all of those half remembered lectures come to him clear as day, seemingly summoned by the Force itself. He felt there were some new paths It had created, so it was not out of the question. His presence in the Force acted like a magnetic field, clashing with the Cosmic Force and bending and arranging its flow around and through him. Adar spent a while observing the natural flow of the Force in his body. From the source inside him to the way it interacted with the hundreds of ripples and made all sort of things happen. It was beautiful to watch and frankly weird to experience. He could feel how some parts of the flow governed his strength and determination, his yearning to explore the galaxy, while others dictated his health. The way his blood flowed, his lungs breathed, etc, all were part of a symphony in the Force and the resulting melody was his human body.
A thought then occurred in Adar's head. He could see the way the Force operated in him. He could see the symphony play out. So what would happen if he changed a few notes?
The young padawan moved carefully. He had a dreadful feeling that some parts of the Force's flow should not be tampered with, lest he pay the ultimate price. Not that he, or anyone else for that matter, even could change the core of the Force's flow inside him. It seemed rigid, impossible to alter. He wondered briefly how could people die if that was the case, but that would have to wait for another time. He focused on making a small change to the flow. Not too drastic, and not bending the Force to his will. Never that. He visualized the change as if nudging an ant slightly to one side and then letting it make its new path. And so it happened.
It was different from changing the world around him with the Force. This change, he could feel it not only in the Force, but in his actual body. He felt shivers in his upper arms and back, and then a breath most invigorating. Adar continued to experiment and study the Force inside him. Although it was still the Force, it felt like he was spending some time with himself, learning how he worked and paying attention to his needs. It was a very relaxing and peaceful sensation. After making a mental note of which part of the flow governed which area of his body, he slowly began to come back from his meditation to the waking world.
[ End Control lvl 2 - 730 words total ]
When Adar opened his eyes, he begun to describe his experiences and what he felt to his Master with enthusiasm, much to her delight. She was pleased to see her padawan make progress. But he still needed a lot of time to refine his skills, and she would see to that. It was her duty and her pleasure to guide others on the path of the Light side of the Force, and Adar seemed to be on his way towards it.
