((OOC: Training for 'Absorb/Scatter Energy' begins here.))

Yet again waiting for his master to arrive in the training room, Buggie decided to stretch himself out. Stretching was a habit of his and it helped Buggie to stay loose and relaxed before his training sessions began. While sitting on the smooth, chilly floor, Buggie outstretched his legs and proceeded to grab his feet. He could feel the tightness in his upper legs and lower back begin to strain as he held the position. When he was satisfied, Buggie next flipped over onto his stomach and then lifted himself up with his arms. His abdomen stretched as Buggie arched his body back. When he had finished with that stretch, Buggie sat back down on the floor and rolled his neck from side to side, causing a series of cracking noises to emerge.

Finally, Master Godot had arrived to the training room. The door slid open, and Buggie saw his master enter the room carrying a round object. No doubt this mysterious object would become a part of Buggie's training today. Standing, Buggie bowed to his master and smiled.

"Good afternoon, Buggie," Master Godot said, bowing, "I see you've arrived early once again. Excellent, as usual, my Padawan."

"Good afternoon to you as well, Master. What's that you've got in your hand?" Buggie said, pointing to the round object his master held.

"Ah, this is what we'll be using to train today. It's a small remote droid that you'll be practicing against for our new exercise this afternoon," Master Godot said, holding up the droid.

As Buggie examined the remote droid, he immediately noticed that it had many holes covering its round surface. Other than that, the droid contained no outstanding features.

"The holes on the surface of this droid are used for firing low-power laser bolts at random positions. What you'll be learning to do today is to scatter energy using the Force. This skill can be extremely useful if you find yourself in the middle of a firefight. Unfortunately, this skill is rarely completely mastered, otherwise it would save countless Jedi lives. We'll be using lasers for practice, but this skill is also useful to scatter damage from fire or electricity, basically any type of energy. Allow me to demonstrate what you'll be doing today," Master Godot said, activating the droid by pushing a small remote button.

The droid rose from Godot's palm and floated in the air with the assistance of repulsor technology. As the light hum of the droid's repulsors filled the room, Godot proceeded to take a few steps back from the droid. As Buggie watched intently, the droid spun slightly and fired off a laser toward Godot. In a faction of a second, Master Godot reacted to the laser speeding toward him. Bracing himself, he lifted his arm slightly as the laser connected. Before Buggie knew what had happened, the laser seemed to break up in mid-air and bounce off of Godot. After brushing off his arm, Master Godot placed the droid in standby mode with the remote and walked back over to Buggie. Buggie could see that Master Godot's arm was slightly singed, but the direct hit to his arm had been lightened significantly.

"As you saw, reinforcing yourself with the power of the Force can allow you to survive a direct blaster strike with minimum damage. Once you become more experienced, you'll even be able to completely absorb the blow. In any case, you'll be learning to perform the skill I just showed you. I have no doubt you'll catch on to this exercise. In fact, I've been doing my research and I've read reports about Verpine carahide. It seems that your skin has the ability to deflect blades and glancing blaster bolts. Is this true?" Master Godot said.

"Hmm... Now that you mention it, I have heard of such things. Of course, I've never experienced anything like that happening, but I've heard a few stories relating to that. I can't imagine my skin would hold up very well against a direct hit, though," Buggie admitted.

"Still, any advantage is useful. I'm impressed to learn that that's true," Master Godot said, deep in thought, "Alright, allow me to give you a rundown on how to perform this exercise successfully. Focus is key in determining and reacting to where the laser will hit you. You'll need to move fast, so make sure you're shutting out any distractions. Use the power of the Force to protect you from the blow. As long as you're concentrating the flow of the Force to where the laser will strike, you'll be fine. Break the laser down using the Force as a shield; after that, the rest is up to the Force. Ideally, the laser will break up upon contact. If you do not react quickly enough, I can guarantee you won't be in for a treat."

Listening to his master, Buggie nodded. As he once again eyed up the remote droid, he said, "Alright. I understand. I'm ready to begin."

As Godot activated the remote droid, Buggie stepped over to where his master had demonstrated the exercise. Keeping his eyes on the droid, Buggie positioned himself and allowed the Force to control his movements. Taking a deep breath, Buggie prepared for a laser to emerge from the droid at any moment. As the remote floated over to his left, Buggie focused and prepared himself to react to the strike. Suddenly, a shrill noise blasted through the room. Jumping in surprise, Buggie lost his focus. Taking advantage of the situation, the remote droid shot a red laser bolt from one of its many holes and struck Buggie in the leg.

Crying out in pain, Buggie hopped up off of his injured leg. The laser had left an extremely painful stinging sensation in Buggie's right thigh. Clenching his jaw to help get through the pain, Buggie looked over to the source of the noise that had distracted him. Master Godot stood with a whistle in his hand, smiling at his student.

"It certainly won't be quiet when you're in the middle of a firefight. You won't know what to expect. There could be tables flying left and right, for example. Glass could be flying all over you while you're trying to concentrate. It's not going to be a walk in the park, my Padawan. You'll need to extend your focus past the noises and concentrate on reacting with the power of the Force," Master Godot said, motioning for Buggie to attempt the exercise again.

Nodding and moving back over to his previous position, Buggie prepared himself to begin the exercise. The remote droid began hovering over to his location yet again, the hum of its repulsors filling the room. Buggie focused on its movements and yet again allowed the Force to control his movements. Allowing the Force to wash through him, Buggie focused as the remote spun slightly in midair. Suddenly, Master Godot blew the whistle, the shrill sound bouncing off the durasteel walls of the room. This time Buggie was prepared for the noise. The remote quickly flew over to his left, creating a swishing noise in the air. Buggie focused himself within the Force and concentrated its power within himself. He allowed the Force's power to build up in the parts of himself that were facing the remote. He could feel the energy surging through is body, protecting him from any harm. As the remote spun yet again, Buggie heard his master blow the whistle louder.

Suddenly, the remote shot a red laser out towards Buggie. Reacting quickly, Buggie unleashed the concentration of Force energy that had been building up within him. Using the Force to guide his movements, he swept his left arm down in an arc that would intercept the laser. In a fraction of a second, the laser collided with Buggie's forearm. Immediately feeling a slight sting, Buggie completed the arc with his arm. The laser broke upon contacting Buggie, dissipating in the air. The remote then flew over to Buggie's right, launching two more lasers from different angles. Buggie reacted again, using the power of the Force to attempt to break up the lasers before they caused their damage. As one of the lasers honed in on Buggie's right shoulder, Buggie brushed it away with the Force. Although it still stung slightly, Buggie knew that he had succeeded in blocking the laser from inflicting full damage on him. The second laser hit Buggie's left shin at almost the same time. Placing his leg firmly on the ground, Buggie allowed the Force to protect him yet again. As the laser connected, Buggie influenced the Force to protect him from damage. With the Force as his shield, Buggie felt the laser sting, but sensed that it had dissipated partially upon contact.

Although Buggie had performed the exercise successfully, his control over the Force had grown less and less as the lasers progressively hit him. He knew he couldn't hold out for much longer against another series of laser attacks from the droid. Master Godot must have also sensed this, as he removed the whistle from his mouth and turned the droid to standby mode once again.

"Well done, my Padawan. With a bit more practice, I can see you becoming skilled at this exercise. You seem to have caught on rather quickly. I'm glad that you had the ability to shut out my distraction as well. Expect to practice this skill tomorrow. For now, let's take a short jog," Master Godot said, powering off the remote droid and motioning Buggie towards the door.

"Yes, Master. After all, it is a beautiful day for a jog," Buggie said, heading out towards the door.

((OOC: Training for 'Danger Sense' begins here.))

As Buggie laid on his bed reading a document that had been copied from the Archives, he heard a knock at the door. Wondering who it could be, Buggie placed the document on the top of his bed and started toward the door. As walked, the wind blew through his open windows, rustling the papers. When Buggie reached the door, he opened it only to reveal his master smiling at him from the other side. Buggie noticed that his master was, strangely, not wearing his Jedi robes. Instead, he wore a more casual outfit.

"Hello Master," Buggie said, welcoming him in, "What brings you here?"

After taking a step through the doorway, Master Godot said, "Not much, my Padawan. I was wondering if you would accompany me to Theed. I've got an important meeting at a tavern called Kit's Keep. I thought you might like to go out."

Nodding, Buggie said, "Sure thing! I could use a break from studying anyway."

Before Buggie could go on, Godot spoke, "Excellent. You need to go change out of your Jedi clothing though. We can't go about announcing what we are in public. Dress casual."

Buggie nodded in confirmation and walked over to his closet. Although there weren't many options, Buggie grabbed a vest and some slacks. Finding clothes that fit was an arduous task on Naboo. Designers hardly had the Verpine body structure in mind when they made their clothing here. As a result, Buggie was forced to have his clothing shipped from the Roche Asteroids to Theed. While slightly expensive, it wasn't a choice. Buggie couldn't go about wearing only his robes every day.

After a few moments, Buggie was changed and ready to go. After grabbing his keycard and following Godot out of the door, Buggie locked up. Soon, after borrowing one of the Enclave's many transports, Buggie and Godot were on their way. As the FK-7 Airspeeder zoomed across the landscape, Buggie wondered just what his master had in store. He sat, deep in thought, wondering just who Godot needed to meet at a tavern.

Before he knew it, the airspeeder had parked within the confines of Theed. An elegant place, the taverns and bars weren't filled with the scum and villainy that could be found on more backwater worlds. Exiting the airspeeder with his master, Buggie followed Godot onto the streets.

"Kit's Keep isn't too far away, my Padawan. Once there, we'll have to split up. You should take a table a distance away from my booth, but make sure you're facing me. I want you to watch my back in case anything goes awry," Godot said to Buggie.

"Yes Master. What am I supposed to watch your back with?" Buggie said.

"Here, take it. It's a small holdout blaster. Conceal it in your clothing, and make sure the safety is on. I don't want you blowing a hole in your groin," Godot said, covertly slipping the blaster to Buggie.

As they continued walking, Buggie slipped the blaster carefully into the waistband of his pants. The feeling of the metal against his waist was uncomfortable, but at least he could safely know that the blaster was still with him. As the two approached the tavern, Master Godot signaled for Buggie to wait a moment. As Master Godot entered the tavern, he disappeared into the darkness inside. Wasting time, Buggie walked over to a nearby street vendor and picked up a newspaper. Flipping a credit chip to the young boy who ran the stand, Buggie opened the paper. After pretending to read it for a couple of minutes, Buggie decided to enter the tavern.

Upon his first step into Kit's Keep, Buggie was overwhelmed by the scent of rich smoke and alcohol. Stopping in the entrance to get his bearings, Buggie attempted to get used to the dark tavern. Casually glancing around the tavern, Buggie took an empty seat at a table near the middle of the room. As he walked, he glanced quickly at the booths along both walls. Relieved, Buggie barely noticed Master Godot sitting at a booth on the other side of the tavern. Buggie took a seat facing the booth, but couldn't make out what his master was up to. Across the table from Godot sat an Aqualish, dressed in a spacers jacket and pants. Buggie assumed that the Aqualish was the contact that Godot had come to meet.

As a server droid rolled up next to him, it said in a metallic purr, "Welcome to Kit's Keep. May I offer you one of our fine drinks?"

"Water," Buggie said, looking at his newspaper.

"One moment please," the server droid said, rolling over to another group of patrons that had sat at a table in front of him.

As Buggie looked over an article related to swamp contamination, he glanced up again to check on his Master. Still sitting with the Aqualish, nothing had changed. As the server droid rolled up again with his drink, Buggie took it off of the droid's tray. Putting down the paper, Buggie inspected the glass to see if it was clean. When satisfied, Buggie drank the cool water and looked down at his paper again.

Suddenly, something had changed. An alarm was screaming in Buggie's head, urging him to duck. Reacting quickly, Buggie slammed his head down against the table. No sooner had he done that, he saw a glass go zooming over his body and hit one of the patrons in front of him in the back of the head. Slowly sitting upright again, Buggie noticed that the tavern had gone silent. The first thing he saw was the group of patrons seated at the table in front of him, staring angrily. After a moment, Buggie saw that they weren't looking at him, instead they were looking at another group of patrons, standing up at a table behind Buggie. Buggie's heart froze. If blasters were drawn, Buggie would be right in the crossfire. As a Gran yelled something in its native language at the other group, Buggie prayed that nothing would come of this altercation. Even as he thought, though, something was welling up inside of him.

Suddenly, shouting erupted from the two groups. Before Buggie knew what had happened, blasters were drawn. Every table flipped in the tavern as the other patrons yelled and attempted to flee. Buggie sat frozen to his seat, as one of the thugs drew his blaster and aimed. As the thug pulled the trigger, the alarm inside Buggie's head went off. Flipping the table, Buggie dropped to the floor. Blaster bolts flew up in the air all around him. With every shot that rang out another alarm went off in Buggie's head. The danger was tremendous, as was the feeling deep inside of Buggie, telling him to react. Patrons went down from the crossfire, screaming in pain. Buggie had no idea what was going on, but he could almost sense everything dangerous that was happening around him. Now was no time to think about the Force, though. No matter what was causing the alarms to go off in his head, he needed to react. Pulling the chair he had abandoned close to him, Buggie propped his back against the table.

Bolts struck the table that he was sitting against, a warning firing off in Buggie's head with every contact. Something within him told Buggie to grab his blaster, but he was paralyzed. Soon, the screaming in his head had vocalized itself. With his hands on his head, Buggie tried to shut out the blaster bolts that zipped over him. Yelling as the blaster bolts screamed all around him, Buggie needed to find a way out. The alarms ringing in his brain weren't painful, in fact, they exhilarated him, making him more aware of what was going on around him. They urged Buggie to act, to do something other than sit. He couldn't though, Buggie was a statue.

Something grabbed him, seemingly from nowhere. A familiar voice yelled to him, "We need to get out of here!"

Before Buggie knew what was going on, he was being dragged from his cover. Struggling to get to his feet, Buggie finally stood and sprinted towards the entrance. Master Godot had already exited, and was standing in the doorway, motioning for Buggie to follow. Something inside of Buggie told him to dive, or else he would be cut down by crossfire. Already a miracle he had made it this far, Buggie stretched out in the air. He could feel the blaster bolts zooming around his body, singeing his flesh.

Landing hard and rolling onto the pavement, Master Godot dragged Buggie up.

"We need to go! Hurry!" Master Godot shouted.

Sprinting to their airspeeder, Buggie and his master soon engaged the engines and shot into the air.

When they were safely away, Godot exclaimed, "What was that all about? What happened?"

"I don't know! I had a strange sensation telling me to duck and the next thing I knew, a glass had shattered on some guy's head. I thought I was a goner back there. Thank you Master." Buggie said, exhausted from the stress.

"You did good Buggie, just relax. You've had a tough experience. I'm glad you didn't run out in a panic, or else you'd be dead. Those thugs were lighting up the place," Master Godot said, looking at Buggie, "I'm glad to hear that you've developed a danger sense as well. That sensation you described was the Force telling you to react to imminent danger. Quite useful if you find yourself in a pinch."

"You're telling me. It seemed like with every blaster bolt that shot around me, I was getting a sensation telling me to move," Buggie said.

"Good, it's hard to practice such a skill without actually being in life-threatening danger. I'm happy to hear you've naturally adapted to it," Godot said, "Look, you should take a nap. I'll get us back to the Enclave nice and easy. Just rest up."

Buggie nodded to his master and closed his eyes. It wasn't long before he drifted off. The experience that he had went though drained him, but at least he was alive.

((OOC: Training for 'Darkness' begins here.))

"...Alright, now let me see you create light using the Force," Master Godot said, motioning for Buggie to proceed.

With a flick of his wrist, Buggie created a small orb of light in the palm of his hand. The orb glowed brightly, fueled by the power of the Force. After he was content, Master Godot motioned for Buggie to disperse the orb of light. With another, almost casual, flick of his wrist, the orb disappeared, turning back into Force energy.

Satisfied, Master Godot said, "Well done. I can see you're really practicing with the ability to create light. I'm impressed, my Padawan."

"Thank you, Master." Buggie said, bowing slightly.

"I'd like to introduce to you a new skill that is similar to creating light. It is one of the very few skills that the Jedi apply that involve embracing the darkness," Master Godot said.

"Excuse me, Master?" Buggie exclaimed, surprised.

"Not to worry, my Padawan. What I meant was that this skill involves creating darkness by absorbing all of the light in an area. Take for instance this training room," Master Godot said. He then motioned to the ceiling with an open hand and asked, "Notice the light?"

"Of course," Buggie stated.

Master Godot then made a fist, and to Buggie's surprise, the room suddenly went dark. With no windows, the training room was cast into complete darkness. After another moment, the room lit up once more. Buggie noticed that Master Godot had once again opened his hand.

"You see? This skill can come in handy just as much as creating light can. For example, say you're trying to sneak across a hallway, but there's a guard posted at the end of the hall. Absorb all of the light in the area, and then you're free to move about wherever you want," Master Godot explained.

"I see. It does sound useful, Master," Buggie said, already calming himself to begin the impending training.

"I'll explain the process to you. You'll find it's quite similar to the process in which you create light using the Force. Likewise, it's useful to attach this skill to a physical motion. Instead of using the Force to create illumination, you'll be absorbing light to create blackness. You'll want to focus on the light itself. Use the Force as a tool to carry the light from the room into you. Since the Force penetrates everything, you can essentially steal the light straight from the source into your body. Without any other light to illuminate the room, it will, of course, fall to complete darkness," Godot explained.

"Alright. I'll begin now," Buggie said, relaxing himself and preparing to focus.

Closing his eyes, Buggie reached out with the Force toward the lights in the training room's ceiling. Buggie focused on how the Force interacted with the waves of light that traveled from the bulbs. After a moment, Buggie could sense the Force bound to the bulb's light waves. It was no surprise to Buggie that the Force assisted the light in emitting throughout the room. Buggie knew that the Force bound and penetrated everything together in the galaxy, but this was the first time he had experienced it on such a level. Observing the Force interact with the light for a moment more with his sense, Buggie then began to approach how to manipulate the light.

Having observed the Force playing a role in the emission of the light waves, it wasn't long before Buggie came up with a plan. The Force flowed throughout the whole room, carrying with it the light that illuminated the entire area. Buggie knew that if he could redirect that light to his body in one fluid moment, then he would accomplish the task of absorbing all the light in the room. Buggie reached out with the Force to the bulbs and prepared to avert their light to himself. Opening his palm, Buggie prepared to redirect the flow of the Force that carried light through the room. When he was ready, Buggie opened his eyes and closed his hand into a fist. As if someone turned off the switch in the room, everything instantly was cast in darkness.

"Well done, my Padawan. I could sense how you approached this exercise. I'm impressed, to say the least," Master Godot said from the darkness.

"Thank you, Master... Um... What now?" Buggie asked.

"Open your hand, Buggie," Godot said flatly.

As Buggie did so, he released all of the light that he had absorbed, and room was cast back in full light once again.

"Much better, my Padawan. Let's go eat and then we'll continue our training when we return," Master Godot said, rising from the floor, "After you."

"Thank you, Master," Buggie said, bowing before exiting the training room with his instructor.

((OOC: Training for 'Level 3' begins here.))

Buggie ignited his training saber and took his usual ready stance. With his saber held at the ready over his head, he smiled at his master and motioned with his head, signaling him to strike. As Master Godot charged forward, he brought his saber down hard at Buggie. Expecting the attack, Buggie stepped back, bracing himself with his back leg, and prepared to block the strike. As Godot's training saber connected, a loud crack echoed throughout the training room.

Now fully engaged in battle, Buggie and his Master exchanged blows. Withstanding the force of Godot's strikes, Buggie hammered his saber at him, intending to use his Master's own strength against him. Buggie's plan for this duel was to put Master Godot off-balance by countering one of his attacks. Then, he would unleash whatever Force powers he knew onto his Master, distracting him further. Buggie's main concern was surviving the flurry of attacks long enough to do so.

As Buggie struck low against his Master, his opportunity to strike came. As Buggie's attack was blocked, he saw that his Master was solely focusing on the sabers. With only a fraction of a second to react, Buggie shot his arm out and unleashed an orb of brilliant light near his Master's eyes. Letting out a yell of surprise, Godot staggered back, momentarily thrown off guard. As Buggie charged with his saber at the ready, his Master swung wildly with his own training saber, still disoriented. Ducking below the attack, Buggie quickly powered off his training saber and absorbed all of the light in the room.

Using trickery to continue disorienting his Master, Godot went from being blinded by a flash of light to being lost in a room of utter darkness. With his senses momentarily in disarray, Buggie knew that his best chance at winning the duel relied on his next action. Sliding past his Master, Buggie returned the light to the training room and ignited his saber once more. Before Godot could react, Buggie held the saber near his Master's neck, a signal of his victory.

With a frustrated sigh, Master Godot powered off his training saber and turned around with his hands up. Smiling, he said, "You got me."

"It's been months in the making, Master. I knew those powers that you taught me would come in handy someday," Buggie said, powering off his saber.

"I'm proud of you Buggie, congratulations. It's not every day that a Padawan can beat his Master in a sparring duel. You certainly handled that battle well," Godot said, sitting down onto the cool duracrete floor.

Bowing before joining his Master on the floor, Buggie said, "Thank you, Master."

As he sat on the floor, Godot said, "You've certainly improved your abilities if you can string together a combination of attacks like that. To be honest, I could feel your control of the Force improving during the battle. You've really stepped up, my Padawan. One thing I would advise against, though, is that you beware of becoming too predictable in battle. It could cost you your life."

Nodding, Buggie replied, "Yes, Master. Perhaps we could go over some other combat techniques so that I don't become predictable?"

"Of course. I've been holding back a few moves on you. I'd like to see how the bruises look on you when I'm finished," Master Godot said, laughing as he rose and offered Buggie a hand.

"Funny. Just remember, Master, whatever you teach me, I'll use against you someday!" Buggie said jokingly as he took his Master's hand.

((OOC: Training for 'Raise/Lower Body Temperature' begins here.))

As Buggie relaxed outside of the Enclave, he basked in the warm sunlight that beat down upon him. It was an abnormally hot day outside, but Buggie was free for the afternoon, so he had decided to go outside and enjoy the day. Having ditched his robes inside of his room, he was now dressed in a pair of athletic shorts. Even with the lack of clothing, Buggie still felt droplets of sweat forming on his brow. As he laid back onto the grass, Buggie closed his eyes and attempted to doze off.

After a few minutes, Buggie sensed something approaching him nearby to his left. Opening his eye and turning his head over to see who was coming, Buggie witnessed Master Godot striding towards him. Strangely, Buggie's Master was dressed in full Jedi robes, incredible for a day so hot. As his Master drew near, Buggie sat up and gestured a greeting with his hand.

"Hello Buggie. Enjoying the sun?" Master Godot said, sitting down next to his Padawan.

Shading his eyes, Buggie said to Godot, "Indeed, my Master. It's almost unbearably hot outside though, how are you wearing your robes?"

"Ah, yes. You'll find as you progress in your training that the Force can aid it's practitioners in a number of ways. In this instance, I'm using a skill that allows me to raise and lower my body temperature. Essentially, I'm completely comfortable in this heat, even while wearing my robes," Godot explained.

"Well that sure sounds like a useful skill for a day like today," Buggie said.

"Not only that, but if you happen to find yourself on a world where the climate is adverse, this skill can even become life saving. In fact, I've come to teach it to you, my Padawan. I feel you've reached the point in your training where this type of skill will become useful. It's always better to prepare for any type of scenario, it's hard to say where the Council will need you in the future," Godot said to Buggie.

"Good point, Master. I'm ready when you are," Buggie stated, sitting down in a more comfortable position.

"Excellent. You're familiar with warm-blooded creatures correct? It's the same principle here. Since the Force is always flowing through your body, you can manipulate it to cause changes. In this case, you'll be causing the Force to increase or decrease your metabolism, causing changes in the amount of heat your body produces. You'll need to be cautious when using this power to heat yourself up though. Since you're burning fats and sugars, you'll lose energy at a faster rate. As well, you'll need to be cautious that you don't give yourself hypothermia. With practice, these dangers become less and less likely, so that's something to keep in mind as you grow stronger. If you're ready, go ahead and try. Remember to use the power of the Force that flows through you naturally," Master Godot said, gesturing for Buggie to start.

"Alright, here goes," Buggie said.

Feeling the Force flow through him, Buggie reached out and tapped into its energy. Buggie knew that the Force bound all things together, even on the cellular level. Manipulating the Force on a cellular level was the key to this exercise. As Buggie focused, he concentrated on the Force energy that flowed through him. He began influencing it to slow his body functions, decreasing the amount of heat his body produced. By doing this, Buggie's metabolism slowed, causing his body to burn up less energy. Already feeling slight effects from his changes, Buggie continued to manipulate his bodily functions. Now targeting the hottest areas of his body, Buggie began to cool those regions. It was as if the temperature outside began to drop steadily. The Force ran though Buggie's cells, causing each and every one of them to initiate changes on a microscopic level.

"Careful Buggie, I can sense your body temperature dropping rapidly," Master Godot warned.

Now the time had come for Buggie to raise his body temperature. He already knew what to do to lower his body temperature, now he was told to do the opposite. Buggie's next goal was to influence the Force energy that ran through him to raise his body temperature. Taking a shivering breath, Buggie realized that he needed to hurry. Reaching out to the same Force energy that he had manipulated previously, Buggie attempted to reverse the actions that he had initiated. Instead, he guided the Force to cause the cells within his body to warm him up. This time, the Force guided Buggie's cells to increase his metabolism, causing his body to burn more energy. Being careful not to overheat himself, Buggie concentrated fully on the task at hand. Slowly, he regulated the areas of his body that needed heat, being careful to keep an even balance.

Within moments, Buggie had restored the heat back into his body. Influencing the Force to stop heating his body when he had reached a comfortable point, Buggie stopped focusing and looked to Master Godot.

"I can sense that you've restored your body temperature. How are you feeling?" Master Godot asked.

"I stopped at a point where I was comfortable. Now it doesn't seem so hot out here. I'm glad that you warned me when my body temperature was getting too low. If I didn't react quickly, I would have been in trouble," Buggie said.

"That's one side effect you must be aware of, my Padawan. With practice, you'll have to worry about entering a state of hyperthermia or hypothermia less and less. Some Jedi have even been known to reach absurd body temperatures while remaining fully conscious. Basically, it all comes with practice," Master Godot explained.

"Well now that I'm all cozy, I can really enjoy this sunlight. Thank you, Master," Buggie said with a wink, laying back down on the grass.

((OOC: Training for 'Advanced Lightsaber Combat' begins here.))

Buggie opened his eyes, emerging from his meditation as Master Godot entered the training room. The first thing that Buggie noticed about his Master was that he was yet again carrying two remote droids at his sides. With a smile, Buggie knew that he would be practicing his skills with a lightsaber today. As Master Godot nodded to Buggie in greeting, he placed the remote droids down onto the floor.

As Master Godot proceeded to sit down across from him, Buggie said, "Good afternoon, Master. What's on the agenda for today?"

"It is time for you to learn the ways of a new technique. Specifically, I will be teaching you a new form of lightsaber combat to practice. I'm aware that you haven't mastered Djem So yet, but this new form of lightsaber combat complements it. You'll be learning Soresu, a defensive style of lightsaber combat," Master Godot explained.

"I see. I've noticed that Djem So lacks certain defensive properties. What's Soresu all about?" Buggie asked.

Continuing, Master Godot said, "Soresu was originally developed by Jedi who wished to protect themselves from enemies equipped with blasters. It is the most defensive of all lightsaber forms. In fact, you'll most likely end up using it more than Djem So, just because of the ability it gives to protect you from blasters. The motions and style of Soresu will cause you to use your lightsaber as an impregnable wall. You'll find that you will protect yourself with motions that reach mere inches from your body. One potential downside is that through all of the defense involved, there is no room for offense. If such a case arises, you will learn to trap your opponents in their own offense. While they waste valuable energy raining blows down upon you, you will remain relatively fresh and strong."

"Interesting. I'm excited to learn the basics of Soresu," Buggie said.

"Good. With Soresu, though, you'll be stepping up your lightsaber skills. You must use the Force to more of an extent when practicing Soresu, as opposed to Djem So, because you will need guidance from the Force to control your motions so that you don't accidently chop off your own kneecap," Master Godot warned.

"Holy smokes. I'll keep that in mind, Master," Buggie said, rising from the floor.

As Godot followed suit, he powered on the remote droids. Igniting his training saber, Buggie stood and waited for further directions. When everything was prepared, Godot directed Buggie in how to perform the opening stance and some common motions of Soresu. It seemed the basics of Soresu revolved around making short, quick sweeps near the body. While not overly difficult at this phase, Buggie knew that he was in for a challenge when he used it in practice. He would have to employ a series of skills that he had already learned in his training to complement his actions with the training saber.

After an hour of going through the basics, Buggie was then directed to test what he had learned. Commanding the remotes to attack, Master Godot signaled for Buggie to begin.

Taking the ready stance and preparing for the remotes to shoot, Buggie felt the Force flow through him. As he channeled the Force through his body, he allowed it to boost his senses. Now more aware as to the location of the remotes, Buggie felt more comfortable. As one of the remotes darted to his left, the other remained on his right side. Shifting his stance to face one of the remotes, Buggie could still locate the remote that was positioned behind him through the Force. Knowing that he would have to react quickly if shot at, Buggie allowed the Force to flow through his arms, boosting his reactions and quickness. Before he knew what had happened next, the remote behind him shot a laser from one of its many holes. Quickly sensing the laser speeding towards him, Buggie drew his training saber behind his head in order to block it. As soon as he had done that, the remote in front of him shot a laser. Letting the Force control his actions as it flowed through his muscles, guiding him, Buggie made contact with the first laser. At ease with the calmness of the Force, Buggie brought his saber around from behind him in an arc and absorbed the second laser bolt. As Buggie entered a ready position, the room suddenly was cast in pure darkness.

"Hey! What's going on?" Buggie said.

"Fight with your senses Buggie. Use the Force to direct your actions. You don't need eyes when you have the Force watching over you. Trust me, Buggie," Master Godot said from somewhere in the darkness.

Setting back up to begin the exercise, Buggie reached out with the Force to sense the location of the remotes. Now unable to use his own bodily senses, he relied on the Force for information. Within an instant, Buggie could sense the remotes, now both located behind him. Just as he realized this, the remotes simultaneously shot off a blast of lasers. Spinning his body to face the attack, Buggie used the Force to guide his motions once again. Bringing his saber across his body, he intercepted both laser bolts mere inches from his body. Before he could enter a ready stance again, though, the remotes shot off a volley of lasers. With the Force as his ally, Buggie quickly moved the training saber in line to intercept the first blaster bolt. With the Force flowing through his arms more than ever, his motions were swift and accurate. Picking off each laser one by one with his training saber, Buggie could see the flashes from his movements only inches away from the rest of his body.

When the volley of lasers had finished, Master Godot released the light in the room and illuminated it once again. Powering down the remotes, Godot said, "Well done Buggie. I never would have guessed you'd catch on so quickly! I expected at least one of those lasers to tag you at the end."

"Thank you, Master. The Force proved crucial to absorbing all of those laser bolts. I relied on it to do most of the work, while I just performed the movements," Buggie said.

"Excellent. That, my Padawan, is the key to the Soresu style. I have a feeling that you'll catch on to it just as quickly as you did Djem So. Come, let's take a break. We'll return later for more practice," Master Godot said, gesturing for Buggie to follow him.

"Sure thing, Master," Buggie said, making his way for the door.

((OOC: Training for 'Level 4' begins here.))

After they had eaten lunch, Buggie followed Master Godot back into the training room for their last exercise of the day. As Buggie opened the door to the training room, he wondered what Master Godot had in store for him next. The previous exercise had Buggie worn out, but he was eager to practice the Soresu style of lightsaber combat more. After Master Godot followed him through the door, Buggie went to the center of the room and prepared to sit.

"Remain standing. We're going to keep practicing Soresu, but this time we'll do it a little differently. I've only tested you on the techniques involving enemies equipped with blasters. Now I'd like you to try defending yourself against an enemy with a lightsaber," Master Godot said, drawing his training saber from his belt.

Surprised, Buggie said, "Yes Master. How are we going to do this?"

Setting his chronometer, Godot said to Buggie, "Five minutes. I'd like to see you withstand a flurry of attacks from me for five straight minutes. If I force you to the ground, you fail. If you can defend yourself using the Soresu technique for five minutes, I'll reward you. Simple as that. Prepare yourself."

At a loss for words, Buggie stammered, "O-Oh! Alright."

Getting himself in the ready position, Buggie prepared for the duel. Five minutes seemed like an eternity at this point, but Buggie was determined to pass the test that his Master had laid out for him. He had come a long way as far as his skills with a lightsaber, but the thought that he had just learned the Soresu style concerned him. Buggie knew his Master was a seasoned Jedi Knight, skilled in multiple forms of lightsaber combat. As Godot raised his saber into the ready position, Buggie remembered what he had learned about Soresu. If what his Master said was true, it was an impenetrable form of defense. Buggie just needed to concentrate on performing the motions of the Soresu style as he had learned them. Short, quick motions were key to his passing this test of skill.

As Master Godot charged towards Buggie, saber at the ready, Buggie braced himself for impact. Using the Force to guide him, he channeled its energy to his legs and arms. Staying quick on his feet would keep him alive in this exercise, as would the ability to withstand a flurry of attacks. As Godot collided with Buggie, their sabers hissed and cracked with the impact. Momentarily disoriented, Buggie strained to hold his saber in defense. With the Force driving his muscles, Buggie pushed Godot out of the saber lock. Not fazed by the response, Godot charged again, this time swinging for Buggie's waist. Adjusting his position to better parry the attack, Buggie lowered his saber to meet his Master's. As the sabers once again cracked with the contact, Godot quickly changed tactics, raising his saber to strike from the other side. With no time to react, Buggie jumped backwards and narrowly missed being struck with his Master's training saber. As his Master's saber met a duracrete wall with a loud hiss, Buggie realized that he had been fighting with his back against a wall. Now with more room to work, Buggie channeled the Force and attempted to sense where his Master was going to strike next.

As Godot once again advanced on Buggie, saber ready to strike, something within Buggie urged him to react. With deceptive quickness, Godot slashed his saber at Buggie. Using the Force to brace himself for the strike, Buggie positioned his saber to block the attack. As their sabers met, the jolt of impact sent sweat flying off of Godot's brow on to Buggie. Quickly recovering, Godot unleashed a flurry of strikes against Buggie. Even with the Force guiding his movements and reactions, Buggie struggled to keep up. Viciously attempting to beat through Buggie's defense, Master Godot was slowly pushing Buggie back. With his balance wavering, Buggie called fully upon the Force to assist him. With a growl, Buggie countered a savage strike and forced his Master to halt his assault.

"Two and a half minutes, my Padawan. If you're already tired, just think of all the enemies you'll face that are stronger than me. Keep in mind one thing about strong foes," Godot said, smiling.

"What's that?" Buggie asked, regaining his breath.

"They tend to cheat," Godot said, once again raising his saber and advancing.

As Buggie prepared to counter his Master's strike yet again, an alarm sounded frantically in his mind. Reaching out with his senses, Buggie detected just in the nick of time that his Master had activated one of the remote droids. Now the battle had grown even more furious. Quickly spinning out to his right, Buggie dodged a series of laser blasts that flashed through the area he had just been standing. Anticipating the reaction, Master Godot was now right on top of Buggie. Instinctively putting out his saber to block whatever was coming his way, Master Godot landed a brutal strike against Buggie's weapon. Almost losing his training saber altogether, Buggie frantically channeled the Force to hold on. Now a step behind his foe, Buggie retreated even more so that he could maintain a defense. Luckily, Buggie had withdrawn just enough that he had time to react to the incoming blast of lasers from the remote droid. Attempting to scatter the energy, he felt one blast strike solidly against his shoulder. Crying out in pain, Buggie attempted to ignore the stinging sensation. Quickly advancing on the space that Buggie had retreated from, Godot unleashed another flurry of attacks against Buggie. With his defenses weakened even more, Buggie desperately focused on the Force to guide him. With each strike that his Master rained down upon him, Buggie stepped back more and more. Losing his balance yet again, Buggie flew backwards as Godot used all his might to strike. Just as Buggie thought he would go crashing to the ground, he collided with a wall. Barely keeping his balance even then, Buggie put up his saber to block the inevitable slash of Godot's blade.

Just then, an alarm sounded in Buggie's head. Strangely enough, it wasn't the type that warned him of danger. As Master Godot gave a disappointed look, he powered down his training saber and offered Buggie his hand. Realizing that the alarm had signaled the end of the exercise, Buggie began to laugh with relief. After taking Master Godot's hand, he pulled himself up from off the wall. Elated that he had passed the test, however close it may have been, Buggie smiled.

"It was close, my Padawan. Today is by far my proudest moment as your instructor. Not only have you withstood a vicious attack, but you've done it employing a style of defense that you just learned. Your skills as a Jedi have improved greatly, Buggie," Godot said, embracing his Padawan.

Almost shedding tears of happiness, Buggie returned the embrace, saying, "Thank you, Master. I can't express how relieved I am that I made it through that exercise. The Force was truly my ally."

"Indeed. Again, well done, my Padawan. Go rest up, I have great news for you tomorrow. Meet me in the hangar tomorrow afternoon at our usual time for training," Master Godot said, "I'll clean up here, you go relax."

Bowing, Buggie said, "Thank you, Master. I'll see you tomorrow."

As Buggie stepped through the door to the hangar, he marveled at the sights and sounds before him. It was business as usual, as transports were unloaded and their contents were loaded onto smaller carriers for distribution throughout the Enclave. A few ships rested nearby, with mechanics and pilots modifying and repairing their starcraft. Droids of many types also scooted around on the hangar floor, assisting the hangar personnel with their daily tasks. The sight of all the ships and machines reminded Buggie of his home back within the Roche Asteroids. While Roche was barren and mostly underground, Naboo, on the other hand, was bright and mostly sunny. Buggie did enjoy the sight of so much natural life that could be found on Naboo. As Buggie proceeded towards Master Godot's ship, he thought more of his home in the Roche Asteroids.

Nearing the ship, Buggie could not see his Master. Buggie's first impression was that he was early arriving to the hangar, but Godot did have a tendency to be a couple of minutes late. Standing and waiting nearby the ship, Buggie was forced to stick around until his Master arrived. To his surprise, the boarding ramp began to lower on Master Godot's ship. Turning around, Buggie saw the ramp contact the ground and his Master advance down it towards him.

"Hello, my Padawan. I'm glad to see you made it on time," Master Godot said.

"Thank you Master," Buggie said, bowing, "What is the plan for today?"

"Come aboard my ship, Buggie. The Archer just finished getting some work done. She looks good, doesn't she?" Godot asked, gesturing to the ship.

Nodding in approval, Buggie said, "Sure is, Master. I've seen my fair share of YT-2400s, but the Archer outshines them, hands down."

As Buggie followed his Master up the boarding ramp, he took one last look at the outside of the ship. Its pristine white hull beamed like a pearl compared to the other ships in the hangar. Stepping aboard, the interior was just as beautiful. Even from a Verpine's view, the ship looked to be the work of a master craftsman. As Godot led Buggie down the narrow tube leading to the cockpit, Buggie looked around him, taking in all of the sights of the ship. The Archer even smelled wonderful, just like new.

Entering the cockpit and sitting down at the pilot's seat, Godot motioned for Buggie to take a seat in the co-pilot's chair. As soon as Buggie sat, he could tell that the cockpit chairs weren't even stock. Buggie sank into the soft nerf-hide chair and thought to himself that Master Godot must have had them put in specially.

After a moment, Godot turned his chair over to Buggie, and said, "Now for the good news, Buggie. Both I and the Council have deemed you ready to begin your trails. You're well on your way to becoming a Jedi Knight."

Shocked, Buggie was at a loss for words. After a moment, Buggie said, "That's great! Thank you for the support, Master."

"Think nothing of it, you deserve it. In any case, your first step will be to construct your own lightsaber. You'll need to travel the galaxy, looking for the correct parts and materials. You're free to go wherever you choose, as your lightsaber is supposed to reflect your own personality. Don't go visiting any other Jedi temples for parts, though," Master Godot explained.

"How will I know how to construct a lightsaber?" Buggie asked.

"I have a guide and a list of materials and parts that you may want. Constructing a lightsaber is extremely difficult, and you'll want to travel to somewhere peaceful where you can really concentrate. If you make a mistake in the construction, you could very well blow off your hand when you go to activate your lightsaber. With the Verpine's revered mechanical abilities, I'm sure you'll be safe. Just remember to read the guide and to pay attention to even the smallest details," Master Godot said, adding a moment later, "You can find the guide and the list of materials in the room I've made up for you. Just promise that you won't read while you're flying!"

Buggie laughed at his Master's joke. He hadn't thought of what he'd be flying yet, but it seemed obvious now that his Master wished for him to borrow his ship for this task.

"Master, are you telling me that you're loaning me the Archer? What are you going to fly?" Buggie asked.

"Oh yes, you'll be on your own for this one. I'll stick around here, don't worry. I'm sure you'll be back in a matter of weeks," Godot continued, "That reminds me. When you get your lightsaber built, I'd like you to go to the coordinates marked, 'X' in the navcomputer. When you first arrive, you'll get a message with further directions. After the computer detects you've been there for a day, you'll get even more guidance. This will be the second part of your trials."

"I understand," Buggie said, nodding.

"Well in that case, make yourself at home here on the Archer. There's nothing more I can say to guide you, Buggie. The rest is up to you. Start thinking about where you'll go to first as you make your way to orbit. Remember to keep meditating and practicing your skills. You're free to go, Buggie. I've already requested take off clearance. You should be all set," Master Godot said, rising from his seat and gesturing for Buggie to take it.

"Sure thing. Thank you once again, Master. I'll see you shortly," Buggie said, bowing.

"May the Force be with you, Buggie," Master Godot said, stepping out of the cockpit area.

Sitting down onto the pilot's seat, Buggie waited until his Master was safely away before priming the engines. Moments later, Buggie rose from the hangar floor and made his way out of the Enclave. As he set a course for high orbit over Naboo, Buggie began thinking of potential places he would visit to gather materials for his lightsaber. He felt as if he had only begun his training a short while ago, and now he was already being given a rite of passage to Knighthood. As he adjusted the ship's course, Buggie readied himself for his first steps to becoming a Jedi Knight.

((OOC: Training for 'Detoxify Poison' begins here.))

Placing his toolkit on the floor mat so that he could work, Buggie prepared to start repairing the R7 astromech droid that he had purchased on Tatooine. It had been a slow day in the Enclave's repair bay, so Buggie had requested to come down and work on his droid for a couple of hours. The repair bay manager had told Buggie that he didn't mind, so Buggie quickly arrived with the damaged R7 in tow. Sitting down before the droid, Buggie prepared to open up one of the many access ports on the droid's body.

Before he could do so, the repair bay manager emerged from within his office and said, "I'm going out to get lunch. Mind looking after things here for a bit?"

Shaking his head, Buggie said, "Everything'll be safe with me. Enjoy your lunch."

Now alone, Buggie resumed his repairs. Reaching for one of the access ports, Buggie proceeded to open it up. Turning to his toolkit, Buggie withdrew a small headlamp and placed it on his head. Turning it on, Buggie then grabbed a hydrospanner and turned back to the droid. Placing his head near the access port, Buggie flashed the light inside to get a better look at the damages. To his dismay, the damage was so extensive that he would need to remove the entire front of the astromech droid's body. Reaching for another access port, Buggie opened it and proceeded to look inside. Flashing the light within, all Buggie could see was extensive damage to the droid's interior.

Suddenly, something flashed out before Buggie's eyes. Unable to react, Buggie rolled backwards onto his back, but it was too late. As an unbearable pain shot through his neck and quickly spread throughout his body, Buggie yelped in pain. Grabbing his throat, Buggie began to gasp for air as he rolled on the ground in shock. To his left, a small wormlike creature skittered off out of sight. With no time to lose, Buggie lifted one of his hands and examined himself for blood. Noticing a fairly small amount of blood on his fingers, Buggie placed his hand once more over his throat. While he had no medical experience, Buggie knew that his only hope for survival was to keep pressure on the wound and attempt to somehow detoxify the poison that was spreading quickly throughout his body.

Kicking in pain, Buggie winced and groaned due to the harmful toxins that his body had been exposed to. With no one nearby to help, Buggie's best chance to detoxify the poison was to call upon the Force to aid him. While it had never let him down before, Buggie briefly considered the consequences of what would happen if the Force somehow failed him. Extinguishing that thought quickly, Buggie set about detoxifying the poison. While the pain still shot through his body, Buggie attempted to ignore it. Instead, Buggie focused on the Force, attempting to use it to relax himself and get control of the situation.

Using the Force to locate the concentrations of poison within his body, Buggie could tell that the poison was spreading rapidly. Despite the pain, Buggie proceeded to close his eyes and relax his muscles as much as he could. With the Force aiding him, Buggie slowed the spread of the poison from completely reaching every part of his body. Halting the poison from spreading, Buggie then called upon the Force to reverse its spread, removing it from all of his vital organs. As the midichlorians within his body gathered around the poison, Buggie allowed the Force to carry it back where it had come from. The process was slow, though, and Buggie was already suffering from the excruciating pain.

Changing has approach, Buggie then decided that he needed to neutralize the poison as soon as possible. While the Force had already halted the spread of the poison, the creature's venom was still deadly. As a flash of pain once again shot through Buggie, he groaned loudly, his body arching with agony. With his midichlorians already gathered nearby the venom, Buggie channeled the Force to change the composition of the venom to something less fatal. With the Force flowing through the poison, Buggie began to manipulate its harmful contents and break apart the venom. Concentrating past the pain, Buggie began to allow the Force to break apart the chemical bonds and neutralize the poison.

After a few moments of intense focus, Buggie began to feel relief from the pain. With most of the poison detoxified within his body, Buggie began the next step to curing himself. As he lay on the ground twitching, Buggie knew that the poison must be excreted from his body somehow. As he began channeling his midichlorians upward, Buggie used the Force to bring the poison within his stomach. Allowing the Force to carry it up slowly, Buggie began to feel the effects of the self-induced nausea. Now at the brink of vomiting, Buggie allowed the Force to do the rest. Sitting up quickly and retching onto the floormat, Buggie ejected the poison from his body. After he had finished vomiting out the poison, Buggie spat a few more times to make sure that it was all out of his mouth.

Working his way up onto his feet, Buggie staggered over to the door. At that moment, the repair bay manager stepped through the doorway.

Looking at Buggie, the manager said, "Sithspit! What happened to you? Do you need me to take you to the medbay?"

Declining, Buggie said, "I can make it. There's a small poisonous creature in here though. Must've hidden itself in my astromech droid on Dagobah. You need to be careful. I'll stop by as soon as I can, but until then, just leave my droid where it is. I'm pretty sure there aren't more in there, but who knows if that creature will try to climb back in."

Startled, the manager gave Buggie a confused look, "Um... alright. I'll see if I can get another Jedi to come in here and find it. You just take care of yourself, okay?"

"Yeah," Buggie said, turning through the doorway, his hand still on his neck.

As Buggie proceeded to the medical bay, he cursed silently to himself. He was disappointed that he had wasted a day's worth of repair on his astromech droid. With a sigh, he realized just how lucky he was to be alive. He was glad that he could count on the Force to assist him through whatever came his way.

((OOC: Training for 'Telekinesis' begins here.))

Having been released from the medical bay and receiving a good amount of rest, Buggie was ready to resume the repairs to his heavily damaged astromech droid. Entering the repair bay, Buggie once again sat down before his damaged droid. Reaching over to pick up his headlamp, Buggie then proceeded to put it on and activate it. Carefully removing another access panel from the outer shell of the droid, Buggie then examined the inside of the droid. It appeared that there was a collection of dust and sand at the bottom of the droid. This was the last thing that Buggie wanted to see, as it seemed that whenever he had finished repairing something, two more issues appeared.

Reaching over to his toolbox and withdrawing a hydrospanner, Buggie then placed a drill bit inside of it. Loosening one of the bolts that held the outer casing of the droid together, Buggie was careful not to damage the droid further. Once he had finished removing the bolt, Buggie then moved on to the next. Reaching within the droid, Buggie's hand hit an unseen object, causing him to drop the hydrospanner within the droid. As the hydrospanner fell, the drill bit separated from it, falling deeper within the droid. With a sigh, Buggie reached in with his hand to remove the hydrospanner. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to remove the tools with his hands, Buggie decided to take this relative setback and turn it into a learning experience.

Calming himself, Buggie sat back and allowed the Force to wash over him. Searching with his senses, Buggie attempted to locate the hydrospanner and the bit. Finding them deep within the maze of mangled droid parts, Buggie then used the Force to search for ways to extract them. Finding no plausible means to remove the hydrospanner and bit from the droid using his hands, Buggie then opted to use the Force to remove them. Focusing on the drill bit, Buggie closed his eyes and concentrated. He sensed how the Force flowed through the bit, as it did with everything else. Buggie intended to influence the Force that flowed through the drill bit to raise it up and out of the droid's interior.

Reaching out to the drill bit, Buggie gestured with his hand, imitating the motion of lifting the drill bit. Using his Force-enhanced senses to guide his actions, Buggie touched the drill bit through the Force. Letting out a deep breath, Buggie concentrated on moving the drill bit, observing how the Force interacted with his efforts. After a moment, Buggie's attempts paid off. With a small nudge from Buggie, the drill bit moved slightly. Shutting out his surroundings, Buggie concentrated solely on the drill bit. Raising his hand, Buggie could sense the drill bit following his motions slowly. Careful not to lose his concentration, Buggie used the Force to raise the drill bit more, bringing it closer to himself. Slowly winding the drill bit around a group of wires, Buggie allowed the Force to ease his motions, steadying the drill bit. Finally, Buggie had removed the drill bit from the droid, observing how the Force mirrored his actions as it flowed through the bit. Setting the bit on the floor mat lightly, Buggie then proceeded to concentrate on the hydrospanner.

As he concentrated on the hydrospanner, Buggie immediately noticed that it would take more focus for him to remove it from the droid. Feeling the Force flow through the tool, Buggie reached out to it with his mind. Applying the same strategy that he used for the drill bit, Buggie shut out his surroundings and concentrated only on the hydrospanner. Gesturing with his hand, Buggie felt the Force mirror his actions on the hydrospanner. Calling upon the Force to assist him, Buggie eased the hydrospanner from where it had rested on a series of wires. Turning his hand gently, Buggie sensed the hydrospanner similarly rotating due to the Force. Allowing the Force to create a connection, Buggie eased the hydrospanner up closer to the access port. As the hydrospanner moved, Buggie could see the handle slightly showing from the access port. Keeping his concentration, Buggie then carefully influenced the Force to move the hydrospanner out from the droid and over near the drill bit.

Deciding to test his skills further, Buggie attempted to control both the drill bit and the hydrospanner. Holding the hydrospanner steady, Buggie lifted the drill bit slowly and moved it towards the hydrospanner. Carefully balancing both, Buggie moved the drill bit into the hydrospanner and connected them once more. Allowing the Force to assist him in easing them back down to the floor mat, Buggie then ended his exercise.

Letting out a deep breath, Buggie picked up the hydrospanner once more. Buggie knew that learning to lift things with the Force was a useful skill. As he continued to work on the droid, he planned on practicing the lessons he learned later on so that he could improve his methods.
