Heirs to the Throne (Training Thread, Raphael & Blood)

Post by Raphael Xandir » Thu Jan 11, 2018 9:26 pm

Darkness covered the moon that is Sojourn, its usual vibrant environment now rested under the warm blanket of the night. Tireless workers rested on their cots after a long day of rebuilding this exquisite moon. Creatures settled in their usual resting places until the break of dawn. It was a very peaceful scene for the most part, except three unruly teenagers causing quite a stir in the courtyard. A single post illuminated the courtyard allowing enough light to reach a sizeable circumference around the group.

Raphael paced back and forth with arms crossed and watchful eyes on the other two. Lilith and Emre had been sparring for some time now, Lilith with a long vibrolance and Emre with two vibroblades. The two would make occasional aggressive lunges at each other but they both seemed to be wearing down. Emre had the brute force over the smaller Lilith. She had to be more tactical, which she just didn’t seem to get.

Barking out instructions to his sister, Raphael dissected Emre’s fighting style. All three were novices and newbies to combat so there wasn’t much to go off of for the young acolyte. Lilith landed a quick jab on the shoulder with the barrel of her lance, as Emre stumbled backwards to recover it was obvious he was in pain. His emotions began to boil and in a fit of rage he quickly moved forward breaked her guard and kicking her down. The kick landed dead center in her chest and she fell hard to the grass under her. Emre stepped over to make the takedown a little more humiliating for the teenage girl.

“Move away!” barked Lilith.

Raphael glided into the path of Emre and placed a hand on his shoulder to prevent him from moving further. The two stepped away and Raphael moved to a footlocker placed over to the sides. Sliding off the hood from his head, his long black hair quickly fell forward. A quick decision was made to match Emre’s weapons with equal force, two vibroswords. Raphael turned to face him, a silver glare peaking out from between the strands of hair.

Extending his right arm out, Emre pointed the tip of his vibrosword at Raphael. A challenge it seems. Raphael moved into form quickly as they prepared. He kept his right foot back to keep his balance and gain power from pushing off of. Moving the left foot forward for quick movements to avoid any attacks. The vibroblade in his left arm extended in from of him, and the right arm fell behind him as the primary attack weapon for attack. He did his best to mimic what he had read in basic combat books. Emre with previous training it seems in this form began to do the same.

“Cut his throat open R!”

Words of encouragement from his sister it seems, a little overdramatic if you were to ask Raphael. The two young men went at it for a few moments striking hard and fast till they were quickly worn out. Both retreated to a defensive position, breathing very heavily. Lilith rose to join her brother in combat with her vibrolance, she gave a unnerving smile to the young man across from them. Raphael glanced over and smirked at her eagerness, they both knew they had the upper hand now.

All at once the two attacked young Emre, they moved as if they were one. A perfect unit landing a finishing blow on their foe. Emre did his best to parry their attacks away but a swift kick from Raphael was forced upon his chest as Lilith distracted him with another attack. Emre was sent to the grass just as Lilith was moments ago.

Lilith let out a sinister laugh at the defeated Emre as Raphael stepped over the young man. A fleeting smirk came over Raphael’s face as he was serving justice to Emre after he embarrassed his sister. A hand was extended down to help Emre up; Raphael respected the young man and surely always will. As Emre regained his footing in the courtyard, Lilith came over and put her arm around him.

“Better luck next time, friend…” Lilith said as she continued to chuckle.

Their weapons smacked the grass as the three dropped them simultaneously. Raphael went over to the footlocker and slammed it shut, slowly sitting down on it as he tied his hair up in a knot. Lilith soon followed, skipping over to her brother and placing a tired head on his shoulder. Emre sat in the grass infront of the two as the group continued to discuss more about how they should further their combat training.

With the internal chaos that battle was, Blood felt the clashing of blades with every 'snick' and 'zchwang' that echoed across the land. Though he were in his own personal world, it mainly revolved around ensuring his power throughout whatever he held of his own was checked on all sides. This included making sure his pupils got their training off to a domineering start. It began to take root as he watched from so far away the power struggle that battle was. The Sith Lord kept his golden gaze on Emre, the tanned student of his who had impressed him with the immovable level of self control, only to raise a brow at the retaliation he had on his daughter. A boot to her chest, and the beaut was flattened to the ground. His orbs flashed to the shape which moved to intercept on the looming danger, and the master huntsman was surprised to see Raphael handle it so coolly. It was obvious this youth took after his father in temperament, keeping a calm head until business was handled, and even after then.

Beneath the Sith Lord, the guarlara deeply snickered as if reading the situation, itself. It was a regal beast, one of the several he had imported to Sojourn once the habitat was formidable for any shape of life to take home here. Massive the equinoid was, a four legged beast ended with wide and clawed sure-footed hooves, a trimmed silken ebony coat, and a lustrous matching cutainous tail. The neck was accented with a majestic, rimmed dorsal-like crest, and the head held horns protruding from both the top of it's crown curving menacingly downwards, and a pair of tusks from either side of it's mouthed bit on the end of an elongated muzzle. Shaking a wisp of forelock from it's frontal view, the guarlara awaited it's rider's next move.

Blood waited through more of the spar, and his interest grew as the bout came to it's climax. Lilith and Raphael both stood and promptly ended what arose between them and Emre, overwhelming the student with multiple weapons at once. Though he had been taught the different zones by Blood, he had only just had a slight lesson of spar with the Sithian, and it showed. It was a good fight he had put up, and as useful as Shi-Cho against multiple enemies, he had only lasted so long against the karmic strikes of his peers. Blood held no ill feelings on the ordeal; he would simply have to invest more time in their trainings.

It was over soon, almost too soon, as the students finished their spar with disregarded weapons, choosing to have a circled discussion. That was when the Sith Lord made his move. A gentle prompt to his steed, and the guarlara began a brisk trot forward, revealing both he, and his rider from the shadows that held them both on this edenous moon. Wind flowed past with a gracious sweep of Bloods cape being given a slight lift against the equinoid's loins, while it's own tail wafted ribbon-like behind them. It took a minute, but the pair soon joined the group, and from atop the steed, Blood look down on the trio, No malice was in his voice; it was useless to regard his student as though they were scum. In lessons, there was no such thing as idiocy. Lessons were meant to teach, and this was his purpose for the moment.

"The only way to excel in the art of war is to gain experience," he began, his gloved hands holding the leather reins in a feather light grip atop his waist. "And the only manner of gaining experience is to be bested several times by those who are better than you."
Turning purposefully to Lilith, he looked the minx in her eyes, and said knowingly in his baritones, "There is nothing holding you back, other than your own ignorance, but words will not save you. Only crossing blades with another, will."

It was then he pulled a leg free of the stirrups, slung it over the broad withers of the guarlara and leapt free of the saddle. Turning, he reached inside the burgundy satchel lying on the flank of the guarlara , and pulled out small metallic cylinders that fit into the palm snuggly.
Handing Emre two of them, Raphael also received two, as well as Lilith. Closing the satchel, Blood turned to Emre, and motioned for him to rise. He also gestured to Lilith. "Get your experience from each other. Do not hold back, either one of you, for if you do, I will slaughter you both, myself." He said it calmly, his threat sounding much more dangerous without the passion he almost slipped and put into the sentence. He wanted his children to succeed, and if it meant threatening them with their own lives, then it was what he had to do. Standing next to both the guarlara and Raphael's form, he waited to see exactly how Lilith and Emre would take their first spar with training lightsabers. They were modified specifically to only burn their target, not hot enough to cut through them. So they were the perfect starter to getting the youths on board with learning the light weight capabilities of lightsabers, all while reducing risk to killing each other so quickly. Pain was a powerful tool, and only so much of it could be taken before the victim sharpened up and avoided the next blow.

The creature before the three was a sight to behold, it almost took more of the center stage than his father. These beasts were bred to parade around as a symbol of power and authority. Raphael had gotten to know a little bit about Emre so far, he more than likely knew of these creatures very well as comforting look came over his face. All three were quickly turned away from the exquisite creature when their master began to roar out commands with their training. Raphael found it interesting that he had been watching up until this point. He figured the three were in private before they began, expecting his father to be out meditating for the rest of the night. Regardless of the commands and threats, the three were excited to receive more guidance and even more excited to be using training blades.

As they all caught their individual sets of training lightsabers, they began to examine them. Lilith and Raphael had more of a familiarity with the weapons as they had seen their father with them multiple times before. Emre on the other hand might as well been holding a foreign object, never used before. Lilith in her eagerness and excitement ignited the two blades she held, while Emre ignited his based off of pure curiosity. The blades hissed open revealing an off red, not as bright and vibrant as images in some of the books they have read might have depicted.

Raphael stood to the side, clutching both sabers in one hand while the other hand rested gently on the gualara’s mane. He would watch for now as Blood instructed the other two. A glow of red could be seen on Lilith’s face as a hand wandered closer to feel the heat of the blade; she gave a madwomen smirk to Emre. Suddenly she started charging at the tanned man giving all her might into the strikes. Emre did his best to parry away the uncontrolled strikes, but she managed to breakthrough with a slash to his forearm.

Wincing in pain, Emre prepared himself to attack as he realized he didn’t want to get burned more than that. He powered back, giving her a taste of her own medicine. However this time he landed a few more than she did, one dead center to the thigh as well as a light slash across her abdomen. Shrieking in pain, Lilith fell back as he blades recoiled back into the metal cylinders. With a subtle taunt of the blade Emre pointed the tip at her to show that he had won the brief exchange.

Glancing at his father, Raphael gave a quick look of acknowledgment that he was going in to once again defend his sister. Raphael drifted forward, igniting his training lightsabers in a controlled fashion. Looking down at his sister as he met the two, he could see the cuts in the clothing the sabers made. Emre backed up to create space for their sparring session. All at once the students exchanged blows, the spar lasting twice as long as the last. The two were almost equal when it came to combat, but Raphael had the quickness Emre did not. Raphael penetrated his inner zone, slipping through under his arm as Emre attempted a powerful strike. Realizing he made a huge mistake, Emre turned to cover his back. Once he did Raphael cocked his arm back and brought a strike across the tanned face of Emre with his elbow. It landed quite effectively as he fell back and a steady stream of blood fell from his nose. Raphael collected himself as he continued to breath heavily.

“You fool! I had him!” Lilith screeched as she charged young Raphael.

Shocked that she was charging him, Raphael was put on his toes in more of a defensive stance. Parrying away attack after attack the young man was driven backwards until finally he found a flaw in her madness. This allowed him to finally even out the bout, as he began to give an equal amount of strikes. He knew his sister very well, but she was very unpredictable when it came to her crazy attacks.

A roar of pain was let out as Raphael was finally forced to make a sound. His shoulder blade felt like it was being seared. In a fit of rage he turned the blade in his left hand to parry the one stabbing him in his back; it was Emre. The three stood there waiting for the best chance to pounce as Raphael held a blade to each of them. Lilith stood there, thigh clearly bothering her as she heavy on the other one. Emre wiped the blood off of his face with his shirt as it continued to flow; it looked rather messy.

Both clearly had some kind of weakness at this point, and Raphael needed to expose them if he was to escape this situation. With a flip of a mental coin he chose his sister to focus his attack first, her madness would be hard to defend against if he were to chose Emre. He moved suddenly and quick as he pushed her back, making her move the thigh that had been hit. Clearly in pain she was thrown off balance and Raphael gave a strike to the other thigh. Lilith fell back to tend to her wounds as the blades recoiled.

Emre landed a quick strike across the base of Raphael’s back as he was finishing Lilith. Severe pain surged through his back. As much as he tried to protect it, the tanned man always found a way to stab him in the back. Harnessing his anger and rage, he focused all of his willpower on attacks toward him. They continued their even battle as they both continued to feel nagging pain. Strike after strike they exchanged releasing hissing noises as their blades met.

The battle culminated in an attempt by Emre to serve justice. Raphael went in for a powerful strike and just as before Emre ducked under his arm and moved behind him. Raphael turned meet him as an elbow was sent flying his way, surely this would satisfy Emre’s sense of revenge. Yet Raphael knew better as he ducked down, avoiding the elbow strike. From his knees he powered through bringing both training lightsabers up and across the tanned chest of Emre. Emre collapsed in pure pain as his chest was marked with burn lines.

Lilith and Emre collected themselves at their ends of the courtyard as they tended to their wounds. Raphael recoiled his blades and released them, as his hands moved this cover what it could of his back. All three had given their all and put their bodies on the line. If pain was the goal for the lesson, they were all surely feeling it.

Cohesion was a new concept in the Sith, despite it being a natural instinct within most immediately related organisms. Blood read the situation, not as a father, not as a businessman, but as a teacher. Almost scientifically he gauged what was trespassing through the entire complicated affair, and more often than not he was always right on his predictions.
His eyes scantingly detached from the current battle between his Daughter and Emre, given awareness of Raphael's decision once he saw Lilith writhing in her muted agony. Again the Silver was to save the Gold.

Blood did not stop him, despite his disapproval of the decision. Instead, as a passive observer, he watched and learned what was going to unfold from the relationship of this 'Cause and Effect' measure. Some would say his level of surprise was inadequate when it came to Raphael being betrayed by his sister, but Blood had foreseen this treachery in some odd, connected, manner. Lunacy knew lunacy, and with both his children being gifted with the unnatural present of the Force which was not even biologically his, there were bound to be issues in the DNA. It seemed Lilith was a carrier of the mania that he held from the side effects of being unnaturally given the Force. Some things in nature were not to be, and both he and Lilith were an example of those anomalies. In such a sense, Blood could most definitely relate to her indignation of the moment, but how she executed her retaliation was quite different than what he would have done. Where she turned on her brother immediately, he would have let Raphael handle the battle, whittle himself down, and only when his back was turned would he have sunken holiday red plasma blades into the unprotected hide of his back.

But on the contrary, he still struggled with apprehending the effects of Slade's mental presence. And almost synonymous with the second persona, Blood almost found himself disappointed in his Daughter for biting the hand that defended her.

'ᴬᴺᴰ ᴬᴸᴸ ᵀᴴᴱ ᴷᴵᴰˢ ᶜᴿᴵᴱᴰ ᴼᵁᵀ,
'ᴾᴸᴱᴬˢᴱ ˢᵀᴼᴾ, ᵞᴼᵁ'ᴿᴱ ˢᶜᴬᴿᴵᴺᴳ ᴹᴱ!'
ᴵ ᶜᴬᴺ'ᵀ ᴴᴱᴸᴾ ᵀᴴᴵˢ ᴬᵂᶠᵁᴸ ᴱᴺᴱᴿᴳᵞ,
ᴮᴱ ᴰᴬᴹᴺᴱᴰ ᴿᴵᴳᴴᵀ, ᵞᴼᵁ ˢᴴᴼᵁᴸᴰ ᴮᴱ ˢᶜᴬᴿᴱᴰ ᴼᶠ ᴹᴱ,
ᵂᴴᴼ ᴵˢ ᴵᴺ ᶜᴼᴺᵀᴿᴼᴸ?
'

Snapping out of the loss of control, Blood dissipated the lingering tendrils of Slade's judgement of the situation, refocusing on what had befallen before him. The handsome hunter was mildly vexed that he had even allowed himself to acknowledge anything dealing with Slade, his grip tightening on the reins that he held with an audible creak of leather. His eyes snapped back to what was happening, and to his actual surprise, he found the spar had concluded, Raphael left standing triumphant between the truel. His back was to Blood, and with a swift examination, the observant man had deduced what everyone's weakness was.

"Lilith, you are trying to break from teamwork in battle, and you have voracious desire to be the sole victor."

His eyes narrowed as his judgement was passed onto her shoulders.

"Your attempt at independence is idiotic if you have a partner, and it will be your bane if you are not yet ready for independence. Hone your fury and passion into concentrated strikes, and better yourself instead of attempting to drown your opponent in attacks, or you will be the only one left winded. Look for weaknesses instead of showing off how weak you are. Only then will you be free of childish state and bloom into a rose of irresistible destruction, Lilith."

Next his eyes moved to Emre, his head canting slightly to the left as he regarded the favored Apprentice.

"You, are an opportunist. And your mindset is in the best of places. You look for the jugular and strike when time hands you a chance. Your own incapability yanks you from victory, Emre, and that is not your fault. You hold independence balanced well in a fight, but your speed needs to be worked on. Once you do, no strings will hold you from your strikes landing lethally."

And finally his golden irises laid down to the platinum eyed Son.

"Raphael, you are the epitome of a perfect mold. You have the speed, and the power. You are analytical and assess the situation for what it is. Yet you must realize there is no support for another in a truel. Lilith is your sister, yes, but you all are here to learn how to best a myriad of opponent types. You bar yourself from learning how to defeat her if you protect her. On the field, if you meet someone with the same battle traits who is your enemy, you will be at a disadvantage. Then it will be you who needs defending."

Taking a deep breath, Blood took a second before speaking again.

"If she learns by pain and failure, then you must let her. If Emre learns by missing his mark and being too late to strike a foe down, then so be it. But you must learn to let life be as it is meant to, for if you try to take control of reins of Life, the Void will take you sooner than you deserve."

Blood had learned a vicious lesson of being unable to control everything. It was agonizing just being a persona in a body he felt he should have been the rightful owner of. Once the insanity ripped the difference between he and Slade, it was clear it waspunishment for him looking to have control over anything and everything. Businesses, Slave trades, selling and buying exotic creatures. Taming the lives of wild creatures...it was all pieces of shackle that his existence was bound to. And with his sins, he learned to not only enjoy the torture, but to make it work to his advantage. So in a sense, he truly hadn't accepted the lesson Life had tried to teach him, and instead turned himself into a resourceful mastermind of his sins. A Puppetter of Fate, itself.
And the Void be damned if it thought it could simply take him.

"Lilith, you and I will train on Primeday and Taungsday. Emre, you and I will meet on Centaxday and Zhellday. And Raphael, prepare yourself for next Benduday."

Heavy breathing could be heard all round the courtyard as the three students gathered themselves from their injuries. They stumbled to their feet as they limped closer to their master. They all examined each other’s wounds as to truly see how they faired in combat. All three were pretty seriously hurt, as deception and treachery were the main themes of the battle. Lilith’s thighs had burn marks across them as she struggled to stand. Emre’s chest had a few light burns across it and his nose continued to rain blood. While Raphael, the apparent victor had a bad injury of his own, as his left shoulder had been severely burned by Emre’s training sabers.

Listening to Blood’s criticism of the battle, Lilith continued to roll her eyes. She felt it unreasonable that she had to stick with teamwork throughout the battle. The goal was to come out on top and that’s what she attempted to accomplish. Lilith knew that her attacks were mad and irregular, but she knew no other way to get around her need to attack with madness.

Emre took the lesson to heart; he hung off of every word his teacher spoke. The tanned man knew his fatal flaw within that battle was his speed as Raphael exploited it. He was just unsure of how to get around it, trying to perfect this flaw was his ultimate goal for the time being. Emre didn’t want to be in an actual situation where this would be the end of him, and he surely didn’t want Raphael to exploit it any more. A rival of some sorts, he did his best day in and day out to overtake Raphael’s position as Blood’s favorite acolyte.

The silver eyes of Raphael moved from Emre as he had been examining how each student accepted their individual criticism. He then turned to meet the golden eyes of his father, a familiar sight. A good bit of it was praise, not particularly what he was after but he would take it. The young man trained hard and for his efforts to be noticed was a pleasant touch. Yet he was shot down for trying to protect his sister, he did his best to avoid the conflict but it just wasn’t in him. Feeling the urge to protect the individuals he loves was something buried deep within. Regardless, this was something he would have to work on, as he would have to be put against her many more times during their training.

Once the lesson was over the three bowed heads to blood and returned their weapons to the lockbox that rested in this courtyard. They began to head back to the resort, seeking medical treatment and rest. Lilith and Emre had minor injuries and were out within a few moments, with treatment to complete on their own time. Raphael on the other hand, was there until the sun came up, nursing his wounds from the night before. He hoped he would be ready in time for his training day, as it seemed unlikely at this point.

LATER---

Days had passed since they had all last met in the courtyard, training had furthered for two of the three. Lilith had gone to train mainly on her attacking, trying to hone in her madness and focus it. It was a challenge at first but she began to start coming around on the idea. Lilith still might be able to have a flurry of attacks but rather concentrate on making these attacks precise. Emre had the next set of days as he continued to focus more on his speed. He knew it would take time but he would eventually become faster and more agile if he kept at it.

Benduday came fast as Raphael was almost not prepared for training to resume. His wounds had healed to the point where he was able to continue yet it left a giant burn scar on his back left shoulder. It was ugly but he would take the scar as a lesson and learn from it. Never again would he turn his back to anyone, rather he would be the one stabbing from behind.

Moving through his resort he found himself in the courtyard yet again, none of his fellow acolytes to be found anywhere. Raphael figured they were resting from the days they had trained, both receiving two while Raphael only got one. Sitting down in the short grass he began to relax himself. Easing his mind, the young man would meditate till his master approached as he awaited the lesson for the day.

Blood sat on the edge of the ships ramp, the Infiltrator gleaming dully in the gentle light of the morning sun. And he sat on the steel mechanism, enjoying the breeze and listening to the music the Pylats had graciously sung through the air. The planet was most definitely a haven one would never want to leave, a paradise where everything lied to serenely to you and told you everything was beautiful and accomplishable.

Blood's eyes snapped to the moving figure that made it's way silently across the courtyard into the meadow. He knew that walk, that form, that girl, that style, that scent in the Force. Raphael.

Blood honestly didn't feel like yelling, so the man summoned the element of fire yet again, and decided to attract the male's attention through a slight surprise. If it worked, so be it. If not, then so be it.
The fire he molded into the shape of a serpent, though the line of fire was a simple one, as was the shape. The moving, slithering, came next, as it writhed away from him, just slightly smaller than a typical python and larger than a usual pet snake.
Forward it slithered through the untouched grasses, flickering it's burning light to the world as it made it's way towards the meditating Son.

Behind him, it stopped. Blood lifted a hand, palm facing down, and arched it forwards, and curled his fingers until his hand resembled a claw, almost as if he was reaching out himself and preparing to grab Raphael by the shoulders. In turn, the snake loomed up, reared back, and opened a fiery mouth, miliseconds away from striking.

Sounds of the glorious moon could be heard from everywhere as Raphael eased his mind. His body relaxed as he sat in a familiar and comfortable position, taking long and deep breaths. As the breathing of the young man became more controlled, his mind began to drift away. Soon Raphael’s entire body became relaxed his mind expanded to the area that surrounded him. Feeling the force around the courtyard Raphael was at peace.

Quickly an acute sense of danger came over his entire body as he was knocked out of his trance. Something was wrong, something different about this usual serene environment. This drastic feeling only began to grow and grow as he felt something nearing him, creeping ever closer to the young man. Raphael’s eyes quickly opened as he peered over his shoulder to catch a glimpse of the threat.

A fire serpent reared back to strike its fiery fangs into the meditating acolyte. Reacting to the increased feeling of heat on his back, Raphael jumped to his feet and moved out of the way. The blazing serpent took a swift strike at Raphael, but he had managed to move away just in time. As soon as it struck, the serpent landed quickly on the grass where he had been sitting. Raphael watched as the flames dissipated in the ground below leaving scorch marks on the blades of grass.

Surveying the area, Raphael quickly wanted to know who was behind this. After a few moments it came to him, he was being foolish. This was such a dull-witted response to look for an attacker, as he knew exactly who it was. Blood was not intending to attack but this was rather an elaborate summoning for the student to continue his training.

Seeking out the bond between Lord Blood and himself, he searched the nearby area to see if he felt him near. Surely enough he felt a call to move towards the direction the serpent had slithered from. The Sith Lord was near his infiltrator, possibly awaiting his young son.

Striding down the path towards the ship, Raphael noticed his father in the distance. He was sitting casually on the ramp of the Infiltrator; seeming to not worry about the scare he had just given his son. Raphael approached his father in a calm and collected manner, not wanting to hint at his previous fright.

Serpent, a wicked creature.” The young man nodded in recognition that he was prepared for training.

So enamored by his doings, Blood felt himself slip further into the connection he shared with Raphael. It was wispy, a haze of simplicity despite his Son being much more confident that many he had come across. But then again, being the spawn of a powerful Sith Lord had its influence such as that. However in this connection he felt the trip of astonishment as he was yanked from the tranquility of the Force on this vibrant and quiet moon.
He thought he was alone just until he was about to be bit to the bone.

He reacted with the swiftness of not only a trained Acolyte, but with the mindset of any conscious living and selfish being; in avoidance and defense. He was up in a flash of seconds, on his feet and facing the snake with full focus. Missing, the snake had lost it's use to Blood now, and he simmered it away on the now char-singed 'S' patched grass.

The Acolyte came to him after his bearings had been gathered, and satisfied he had not been engulfed in the flames he crafted, Blood offered him an approving look. The words came as a slight greeting, and though it was only slightly flawed, Blood pulled his arrogance from his words and tossed it aside. Lessons were not to be biased.

"Serpents are just as we are; creatures. But unless born of Sith Sorcery, ilsir nie kiztae idemus is savimi. They do what they must to survive, just as we do. And the ones we have our day planned for are Reels. Massive and gorgeous things, they are...and today you will earn your bone mold armor from it."

The young man was proud his bond was growing stronger in stronger within the force to his father. Eventually, they would make a diabolical pair once his training was further down the line. For now he would sit at the side of his father and learn from him, intently eyeing what the future might hold for them.

Standing before his father, Raphael listened to what he had to say. The acolyte was fond of serpents, and enjoyed their nature; wicked or not. Understanding what his father was teaching he realized that the two were not so different, just doing what it takes to survive. Young Raphael was intrigued to hear that they would be seeing massive serpents in their near future.

Quickly, he started moving inside the familiar Infiltrator so that they could finally begin the training after such a long week. He had spent a good portion of it healing from the wounds sustained in the last training session and the other half of the week waiting patiently.

Eagerness crept over Raphael as he headed to the small armory of the ship to put on some light combat armor and gather vibroswords. He wanted to be prepared for whenever his father gave the coordinates to the cyborg, in case he had anything else to teach the young acolyte.

Meeting Lord Blood among the ship a curious question came about, “Where are these so called Reels?”

Re: Heirs to the Throne (Training Thread, Raphael & Blood)

Standing and walking with his Son to the inside of the ship, Blood felt the ramp slid up behind them, retracting sleekly into the ship with its low mechanical hum. After it was complete, the door shut and locked as the pressure began to equalize when Valkyr began to expertly lift them into the skies and beyond.

"They are just that; Snakes. You'll appreciate it's beauty more as it lunges to inhale you, Raphael."

Blood had fancied the duel he last had with a Reel. Not long had it lasted, as an Avril swooped and claimed the massive snake in even more massive talons, lifting the royal purple snake into the air and vanishing within smooth strokes of ship-sized wings. He had also come across Melodies on this particular Yavin, and while they were lovely and delicate creatures, he only cared so much for their existence. He considered bringing a few home to Sojourn to be decorative fish for his seas and ponds, but patience was not on his side as far as negotiation. Today was not a day for such either, as he had plans to train with his Son. If an Avril scooped this Reel up, Blood would have a hand in subduing the bird so Raphael could finish killing it on his own. There was no getting out of this one.

"I considered getting you acquainted with snakes early, as it seemed several reoccurring dreams will not leave me be in my slumber that you are to have such an animal as a pet. Snakes and their closely related counterparts, felines. I have a feeling the dreams will not leave me be until that is finished. But Reels are not to be it. Something smaller and more controllable will have to do. Felines are easy, but snakes are arush dalykas, gose." he finished with a waved hand. He had a few species in mind, but ultimately he would let his Son choose.

The ship ride took a nice minute to complete, venturing further and further in space. It was maybe an hour into the flight before a finished hyperjump jolted them forward and into the view of the moon.
