Re: "I just know that I'll regret this when it's over." (Emic)
Her heart was held in a silent pleading for this to be a whole lie and a half, wondering why the gods would be so cruel as to give this woman the sick ability of using the Force when all of a sudden, her nose suddenly felt a painful plop. The Phoenix almost jumped out of her skin, putting a hand to her nose to console the smarted thing. Almost immediately she was about to accuse her Commander of witchcraft, but she saw a single hand was where Mercy so obliviously put her whole face, hoping to catch the Iridonian in some spacey magic. Nope. Just a hand. Mercy felt foolish, but was so relieved she could have melted in front of the Commander right then and there. But alas, she was dismissed, and offered some free training in the Pit once she was done eating. The girl sobered up at the order, grabbed her tray, and hoped the training would be what got her mind off of all the voices in her head telling her that her Commander was a Force User in disguise. Mercy cleared the tray, had gone back to her bunker room, cleaned up what she could of herself, dressed in some typical workout uniform, and headed out to meet the horned woman

Emic slid down into the Pit, clothed in a t-shirt and some of her more worn fatigues. She held in her hands two, rather large knives. As Mercy approached and dropped down into the Pit with her commander, Emic took a few steps closer.
"Ever fought with knives, operator?" Emic asked, almost rhetorical. After all, it was incredibly likely that Mercy would have to forget everything she thought she knew in order to be good with a short blade.
Emic placed the blades of both knives on her arm and drew them across quickly. "They're blunt, for now." She grabbed one by the blade and tossed it toward her new student. "Show me your stance."
