Taking the staff in his massive hand, it engulfed the steel rod. Bringing up the weapon to view it in both hands he turned it around and with a trained eye he examined every inch of this weapon. He left nothing out from his scrutiny and once accomplished it was time - he activated the silver blade and with a snap-hiss the weapon’s beam emerged from its housing emitter. He looked into the silvery light for a moment and admitted it was a beautiful entity in itself but in beautiful things was it not also deadly? He flourished the weapon around and aimed it downward.

“The weapon of a Sith. You’ve not used one extensively before - know this, you hold within your power the means to both build and destroy. By your hand the will of the Dark Side shall be done.” Extinguishing the beam he set the staff pommel to the ground and offered it back to its rightful owner. He had taught her how to hold one so there was no worry that she should cut herself in half, she needed only to recall the lessons of yesterday. “From this moment on you will embrace your destiny as Sith. Discard you past - no longer will you dwell on the pages you’ve overcome and that now gather dust. You shall now be known as Silvanius, Kita Ikari is no more.” He handed the weapon back to her.

“The steps you take from here will ever be forward, never back. Leave your past behind you and seek the horizon. Your previous life no longer matters. Your family no longer matters. Your destiny lies ahead now you must go and reach out and take it all for yourself. Power, knowledge, position. These things must be foremost to the goals you set. If you do not - others will come with these ambitions and take from you everything. Be ruthless in action and unmerciful of others. Even the slightest kindness and they will eat you alive.”

He turned away and stepped back from his Apprentice. It was time she learned the next steps in her training. “You have the weapon. Now you must learn to keep it for there may be some of cunning wit that would take it from you and use it to spear through your heart.”

“It is time, Silvanius, emotion is one of our greatest assets. For now your ability to use the emotions of others will come in time and you must rely on your own. Anger, rage, hatred, frustration - these emotions bring enormous levels of power to you if you would only give in to them.” He extended his hand, “Keep the weapon from me.” He commanded. (Telekinesis) With relative ease the spear ripped itself from her hands and slammed into his own. He spun the spear hilt around and raked it down on her ankles, the force of the blow dumped her to the ground. Spinning the spear he aimed it at her heart. “Failure is not an option, Acolyte. Again.” He gave the weapon to her.

Once more he took the weapon away but this time he thrust the weapon into her stomach, spun it around and slammed it into her back as she doubled over. “You can see clearly, you are no match for the Force. You are weak and pathetic. I obviously have wasted my time here. Again!” He bellowed out to her in effort to trigger her anger.

“The Dark Side travels through your heart in this place and amplifies your power. Draw on your emotions and the Force. See your energy field, visualize it. Grip the field of energy and begin to weave the strands of the flow of the Force together. Within your mind you must create a barrier. This barrier will protect you from telekinetic assault such these, it will also protect you from mental attacks. Once you’ve created this barrier you must build upon it and strengthen it, do so with your anger.”

“Again.” He commanded and once more he reached out to tear her weapon away and once more he planned to clobber her as punishment for her failures.

Kita watched in silence as her master observed and approved of her work. It brought a sense of relief that her new saber came out well. But then again, she had put alot of time into the weapon. One that would fit her strengths in battle and style of fighting.

“The weapon of a Sith. You’ve not used one extensively before - know this, you hold within your power the means to both build and destroy. By your hand the will of the Dark Side shall be done. From this moment on you will embrace your destiny as Sith. Discard your past - no longer will you dwell on the pages you’ve overcome and that now gather dust. You shall now be known as Silvanius, Kita Ikari is no more."

Her blue gaze looked up at Tormentous briefly in disbelief that he had expected her to leave behind her past. Its what made her who she was. How was she supposed to just...let that go? As much as she had been eagerly awaiting for her saber and Sith name, a hint of sadness filled her heart. To be told that her born name Kita Ikari was no more...just brought a unrealized sadness. Why? She wasn't so sure yet. Averting her gaze to her new saber, she reached out and took her lightspear in hand as a small smile formed on her lips. She knew why she had decided to stay with the Sith though. It wasn't just to keep herself alive. No. She was doing it for the Mandolorian who stole her heart. Although unknowingly she would have done anything for him to stay by his side. Even face death a thousand times over.

Looking up, the smile quickly faded as the newly made sith Silvanius listened to her master Lord Tormentous.

"Family…" That had been something she hadn't thought about in a VERY long time. Silvanius began wondering what her father would even think in knowing she had joined the sith. Or why she never returned. Of course there were many reasons. She worried for his life if she had run away anyhow. But how could she possibly admit she fell in love with the man who kidnapped her from their home? Much less changing who she was by killing people for him? There was no doubt in her mind he would be incredibly disappointed with the choices she had made. But this was now her life. She did have to learn to let go of her past and move forward as Silvanius, for she could never return to her father now. No longer would she allow or let Kita Ikari's past affect her.

Silvanius wondered just exactly where her master was going next in her training as he began his explanation of what he expected of her.

“It is time, Silvanius, emotion is one of our greatest assets. For now your ability to use the emotions of others will come in time and you must rely on your own. Anger, rage, hatred, frustration - these emotions bring enormous levels of power to you if you would only give in to them.”

She raised a brow in curiosity as Lord Tormentous extended his hand towards her. She heard his command within her mind to keep her lightspear in hand from him, but was unable to do so at the last second he commanded it. She gasped as her new weapon was torn from her grasp by the force, quickly meeting the hard ground of his office as he swept her own weapon beneath her. She pushed the hair from her face and looked up to meet her own weapon pointed at her heart.

“Failure is not an option, Acolyte. Again.”

Silvanius clutched her jaw in annoyance at how easily she had been taken out by him. It was indeed pathetic to her. She should have seen it coming. However, what was she supposed to do when your own weapon was taken from you in such an easy way? And at less of a moment's notice? Of course she remembered then, she needed to be prepared for anything. Silvanius glared at him as she took her weapon back and pushed herself back on her feet...only then to be met once again with another couple of blows from her own weapon again to the stomach and back. She winced in pain a groan leaving her as she tried to overcome the pain rippling through her stomach.

“You can see clearly, you are no match for the Force. You are weak and pathetic. I obviously have wasted my time here. Again!”

Silvanius shakily took her weapon back in hand as she attempted to stand straight once more facing her master. Of course Tormentous was not going to go easy on her. And she didn't expect it either.

“The Dark Side travels through your heart in this place and amplifies your power. Draw on your emotions and the Force. See your energy field, visualize it. Grip the field of energy and begin to weave the strands of the flow of the Force together. Within your mind you must create a barrier. This barrier will protect you from telekinetic assault such as these, it will also protect you from mental attacks. Once you’ve created this barrier you must build upon it and strengthen it, do so with your anger.”

There was a brief pause as he finished his explanation before yelling out for her to continue her training session.

“Again.”

If there had been a moment Silvanius was truly beginning to get angry, now was the time. She had already been beaten down twice already, and due to her stubbornness refused to let her master do it to her again. No. She would prevail. Silvanius clutched her jaw tightly as she glared up at Lord Tormentous. The Sith apprentice began to draw upon her own emotions, pulling them in towards her at full speed like a piece of metal towards a magnet. Frustration, and hate were there against Tormentous, but most of all just pure fury. The fact she was being beaten so easily really had struck Silvanius...and with her own lightspear no less! This all added onto the power of the darkside that now crept within her.

It took seconds for Silvanius to begin building the Force around her, to shield herself from Lord Tormentous Telekenesis. She focused on the swirling cool energy surrounding her, aiming to try and take control of it. Easier said then done. She had controlled the Force energy flow before, but even then it was hard. She needed to control it once more, binding it together as her Master suggested.

Focusing her mind, she silently called to the darkness that had taken seed inside her heart, and used that to help assist in controlling the dark energy surrounding her, using it as a beacon of sorts to make the progress quicker before her own weapon once again slammed down on her.

The energy began to listen as she poured her emotions into it. Every ounce of hatred and anger she had in that moment flooding over into the darkside of the Force. It felt like it was devouring her emotions, sucking them in like a parched plant screaming for water. She guided the Force around her mind and body, pushing the ever moving energy together, binding it tightly until it seemed like it would burst from the impactment. Although unseen,, like a thick metal wall was It was strong enough to ward off her master's attempt at grabbing her lightspear from her hand. Silvanius smirked in triumph as she met her masters yellow eye. Without notice, she spun her lightspear aiming for his backside for the last 2 times he knocked her down.

Tormentous strode into the training room and eyed Silvanius as he did so - she had arrived sooner than he for once - apparently she was taking to her training well and yearning for ever more knowledge and power. This he knew well and could respect for the pursuit of knowledge was akin to the pursuit of power. One and the same yet two separate fields of research. He avoided the pleasantries for there was no need. Instead he opted to dive right into the next stage of her training.

“It has come time Apprentice, your training is to proceed.” He produced a tiny pyramid from his cloak and held it in his hand before her. The presence of the Dark Side of the Force swelled within this piece of artistry and awe. “Open the holocron.” He commanded - it was a simple yet firm command - devoid of deeper description and explanation alike. Yet after a moment he delivered unto her his wealth of information and granted her his wisdom on the matter. “The holocron is a specific device that requires the Dark Side of the Force to operate. Without the Force there is no mechanical means with which you may open this device beyond dashing it upon the ground and shattering it.”

“You must enter the domain of the unknown and make it known. The device is not as simple as telekinesis either. You aren’t just forcing your way into the device and prying it open with your mind and wasting your efforts. Such obtuse mannerisms will do nothing but break the device. You have no other option than to enter the holocron with your mind and tap into the Force’s realm.”

“I say again - enter the device with your mind and begin to touch upon the mechanisms internal workings. As your shift the Force through the device you will also unlock the device’s delicate seals. With each lock withdrawn you must shift the Force onward to push the Force’s energy through the device’s libraries and fill these channels with your influence. In doing so the holocron will react and open its wings as a flower’s pedal. Once fully expanded the holocron will be accessible and once it is open - you shall begin your first true steps down the Dark path - and from there, there is no going back.”

Silvanius had been meditating when she felt her masters presence quickly approaching. The moment he called to her, she turned her head his direction with a brief glance before swiftly getting up off the floor. It had been awhile since she last had a serious training session with Lord Tormentous. And the Sith apprentice did want to further her studies.

Quietly she listened and stared at the holocron in interest as she approached him.
~ALTERATION 2~700 Words~Begin App~

It seemed like a simple enough task, but Silvanius knew better. She was still a babe in the darkside of the force, and even though the darkside now lurked within her heart and she had grown to accept it more over the passing months in her training, she still did not draw upon the full amount of emotions required a majority of the time to use its full potential. Which dwelling and grasping the common emotions of the Sith naturally to possibly open this holocron upon will was not easy for her at all. All her emotions were usually based within the moment of a battle or mission, making this training session a daunting one.

She remained where she was, staring at the holocron Lord Tormentous held in the palm of his hand. Instead of closing her eyes as she had done many times, her bright blue gaze remained solely focused on the tiny pyramid with severe concentration. Letting her mind and energy drift towards the holocron, the world seemed to fade away. Nothing else existed in the room except for her and the tiny database of the darkside's neverending knowledge.

The young Sith apprentice began probing the tiny contraption with curiosity, observing and reading into the possible tiny compartments hidden underneath the intricate metal exterior. The flow of the Force obviously dwelled within, calling to her. Enticing her curiosity to open it and reach for the knowledge and secrets hidden inside. But the majority of its power was blocked, seemingly taunting her in the back of her mind, poking her like a sibling trying to annoy and test your patience with them.

Her eyes narrowed as she joined her mind with the flowing darkness, following it as it sunk deep within the contraption, swirling and absorbing within the triangular object. The Darkness seemed to flow around...something or someone. There was more to the holocron then just the Force itself dwelling within it and vital information. Pushing her way forward, she carefully examined tiny locks keeping the holocron sealed.

Drawing upon the Force itself, Silvanius began attempting to open the locks. Minutes passed by in silence as she let her mind and connection with the Force flow through the holocron. However, her efforts that usually succeeded showed no results.

Grunting in annoyance, the sith apprentice knew she needed to figure out something. This time she closed her eyes to better focus her mind with the Force itself. Following this, she discovered a tiny wedge in the holocron where one of the latches sat. Silvanius figured she could cheat and sneak into the small wedge...but that wasn't going to happen. The second she tried to force her way in to enter, an energy swiftly pushed her back. Like an invisible barrier patching the openings, it was not going to allow her trickery to cheat in this training session.

Biting her lip, she now found herself more irritated than she had from the start of the training session. As if on que sensing her rising anger, faintly Silvanius heard a deepened laugh enter her mind. The Sith apprentice knew this laugh well as her Masters. However...it was obvious Lord Tormentous was not laughing...as it would have been a lot louder in the room and not an echoing remnant in her mind.

It was then she realized the holocron was indeed holding some sort of intelligence or awareness as Silvanius learned in her previous studies. Of course it was then the young sith apprentice noticed a gatekeeper really did exist, keeping her from being allowed to access the holocron. And her rising anger seemed to catch the holocron gatekeeper's attention. "Darkside of the Force…" she thought.

It dawned on the young Sith apprentice that she was doing the lesson correctly...but was lacking the base emotions or desires of a Sith delved into the darkside that the holocron needed to open. She needed to see this more as just a lesson, but actually needed to show the gatekeeper she was really putting forth the effort and desire in the darkside to allow her access. What she needed to do was change her mindset...even if just briefly to get past the fears of the darkness corrupting her.

Forcing herself to put her guard down, Silvanius searched deep within herself, allowing the seed of darkness in her heart to begin sprouting that was not long ago planted. Inserting the mental key to the silver door of her heart, a flood of anger long suppressed over the years began to spring forth, washing over her like the flood of a broken dam taking out innocent seninents. Instead of just planning to use the emotion alone as fuel, the young sith apprentice decided to embrace it.

Taking a breath, she began focusing on the feeling itself. A rush of unmistakable impatience and fury coursed through her veins, her muscles tightening through every limb of her body. Silvanius quickly came to notice the energy this gave her in the Force, an overwhelming rush of adrenaline and power she remembered once before...but had quickly shut it off in fear of being consumed. Now Silvanius knew she needed to not lock it away if she wished to open the holocron, but take hold of the feeling. To grasp it and take the emotion alone, using it to her advantage.

As she did so, Silvanius felt the desire of the darkside begin to creep through her mind, enticing her to use her anger on Lord Tormentous as he stood before her in the room. He was the reason she was in the sith after all. Of course the sith apprentice refused to kill her master right there. She still had much to learn from Tormentous, and still had a goal of her own to reach before deciding to get rid of the Sith Lord. Still, the fury she felt said otherwise in her heart and mind as the darkside of the Force wrapped around her like a cloak.

Sensing the change within Silvanius, the holocrons gatekeeper finally allowed the sith apprentice to enter the holocrons' knowledge. As the holocron began to reveal its secrets to her, Silvanius smirked as she opened her eyes to stare at the fragile sith artifact. Her fading blue gaze now taking a bright yellow hue before quickly fading to her original color. The anger once there was no more as it disappeared back into the far reaches of her mind...yet still lingered in wait for its next opportunity to appear...slowly growing as it fed upon the darkness.
