OOC: Continued from What Could Go Wrong

Warvanus had Krieger his top operative get all the clearances and codes the new Captain would need and when done he delivered them to the Sith Lord. Warvanus took them and went about the rest of his day allowing the Captain to get familar.

==The Next Morning=

He went to the Captain’s quarters and had knocked. He had a slave with him who carried a locked field box. When the Captain would open the door and let them in the slave put the box on his bed and hastily departed. When the slave was gone Warvanus addressed the Captain.
“I trust you slept well” he began handing him the key

“This is everything you will need” Inside the box he would find a uniform, a training uniform, an envelope containing his clearances and codes, he would also find a side arm blaster pistol and a vibroblade.

He looked about the room. “This is my stronghold on Sojourn, soon we will be transferring to Sojourn’s primary Karza , that is my world and will be a good place for training, my palace is under construction but for now this is our home” he paused “Come, let us meet your new team” With that he left his room and began to walk.

He would tell the Captain about the specialty’s of each member, his would be tactics he certainly was intelligent enough and as the XO he would be a good addition. There was much to discuss and much to do.

As Alexander heard the knock of someone at the door he quickly tidied himself for a few seconds before opening the door and seeing a person with a shock collar around his neck Alexander recognized from some pictures in his library at home and Warvanus.

When he was asked if he had slept well Alexander gave a shrug "As good as can be expected" He had only slept for 6 hours. Not good but not really bad either. Though it might affect his performance a tiny bit in the end. He then got a key handed to him and a chest was put on his bed.

As he opened the chest he could see several armaments as well as the clearance and uniform needed for his newly granted rank. Alexander took but the smallest of moments to equip himself. Having learned how to get ready in the space of seconds in case he needed to flee from gangsters. He also listened carefully to Warvanus as he spoke keeping the information in mind for a later date and would then follow the dark lord of the sith.

He would especially listen carefully to the skills of his to be subordinates. Also using it to get a mental image of the capabilities of the dawn patrol and how he would make the best use of it.

He brought him into a conference room sitting around the table sat 4 men and 1 woman all human. When Warvanus entered they all rose and saluted, he bowed his head slightly to return the salute

“Be seated” He began, “This is Alexander Valleriion he is the squads XO” Nobody objected or protested, even through the Force he felt no outrage.

“They all use code names” he said looking at Alexander “This is Major Payln Vaas code named Wiretap he is the CO” He rose and addressed Alexander

“Welcome to the squad, you can call me Wiretap” Alex would know that his specialty was slicing and hacking.

“This is 1st Lieutenant Ranah Pancor code named Widow” she rose and nodded but said nothing He knew her specialty was assassinations, she was a sniper afterall.

“Meet 2nd lieutenant M’kor Quinn, code named Vapor” he also rose “Welcome aboard” he said to the newest member. Alex knew his specialty was explosives

“This is 2nd Lieutenant Mason Renn, code name Sureshot” he knew his specialty was marksmanship and the use of blaster and other artillary.

“And finally last but not least” he said “ 1st Lieutenant Cole Pyson code name Quickfoot” he rose and nodded , his specialty was hand to hand combat

“They are all trained and were hand picked by me based on their service record in the field” He motioned for him to take a seat.
When he had done so Warvanus addressed the room “I want everybody to train your newest team member, his specialty I suspect will be tactics but we shall see what develops during his training. “ He looked at Alex “You might want to come up with a codename nobody here addresses by their real names. “ He paused “Start with PT and Marksmanship” He said now looking at Wiretap. He bowed his head

“Yes My Lord”

With that he looked at Alexander “You are in good hands, I will be monitoring your progress” with that the Sith Lord exited the room and he was now alone with his new team.

As Alexander sat in the room he made a note of his new squad members. The Major, wiretap seemed to be a relatively nice person so not many problems there. Widow seemed like a quiet person, someone who simply did not like to talk it seemed. Vapor seemed to be an outgoing guy so really no problems there unless he aggravated him. Then there was Sureshot, seemed decent and then there was Quickfoot who seemed to be a stereotypical soldier.

Then he was faced with getting a code-name but what could he use. He thought about using Yi after a great ancient admiral and there were many more names that came up with but did not seem that fitting. Then a term came up that could be quite fitting, so he spoke up "As our Lord already said my name is Alexander Vallerion but generally you can call me Foxtrot. "

For a moment Alexander wondered what PT stood for but realized that asking might diminish his status and he assumed that it was Physical Training though he would probably see eventually if he was correct. Then there was Marksmanship. He had had some practice with a blaster but not much and not to a large degree. And the blaster he used was a standard civilian use rifle. Not a military standard rifle which would probably pack a much meaner punch.

Alexander then spoke up once more "So what is the plan ? Marksmanship first and then PT or first PT and marksmanship to test how I perform whilst more tired than normal?"

Wiretap stood up as did the rest of the squad but it was the CO who spoke “Physical Training is always first Captain, but we all train as a team, we all go home or none of us go home” that was their mentality, for Sith they were a closely knit unit. But there was a difference between the military and the Sith Order.

“Lets go” Wiretap said

The whole unit went outside and before them was a massive obstacle course. Wiretap looked at Quickfoot and nodded. It was now Quickfoot who spoke

“Alright lets get warmed up”

—After the warmup—

Wiretap pointed to the course “This seems daunting at first but with practice Foxtrot you will get good and eill clear it faster. Since you are new you won’t have a time limit” The others had already ran off to tackle the course

“This is what I call Helltrack and now Foxtrot it’s time you met it, Run Captain” the last two words he yelled as Wiretap ran behind him.

What Alexander had expected to be a normal parkour run, something he heard local security forces on Corellia used who were sort of like paramilitary forces. He had not expected to get a track with which the name helltrack fit particularly well.

Alexander felt as he was pushed to the very limits of his physical state. Whilst he had been in decent condition in Corellia he had never been an athlete or that focused on his physical body rather than acquiring knowledge. Now he was paying for that as he felt his muscles BURN from the exhaustion as he pushed through.

The course was not that much longer than the standard military course but it was the contents of the course that made it hard. Climbing up walls 6 feet high and simulated to represent a real war one would find in a war zone. Then there were moments when you had to dodge lasers which had a pain setting. Whilst it did not physically hurt you it attacked your senses A LOT and Alexander felt safe to say that these lasers nearly felt as if you were actually shot. So there was quite a large incentive to perform well.

These obstacles and more were located on the Helltrack and it was no surprise when Alexander arrived last at the end of the Helltrack and as he got into safety promptly lay down on the ground taking a few moments to take a breath. He was bruised, tired and he felt like he was nearly on fire. After taking half a minute to lay down he said with a still out of breath voice. "How do you do this thing on a regular basis? I can barely survive[/i ] this kind of thing. I can only hope that it gets better over time"

Wiretap let out a chuckle “That’s why it’s called PT, it will get easier as you get conditioned” he paused “Practice makes perfect” He looked out in the distance and could see Warvanus standing from a balcony watching He looked at Foxtrot

“This time you are gonna run it solo” he stated and with his head motioned in Warvanus’ direction. “you have an audience” he said with somewhat hushed tones.

Warvanus stood and watched as his personal unit ran through Helltrack it was not only used by the Spec Ops team but also by Acolytes. He had watched both Foxtrot and Wiretap navigate the course, he was focused on them he wanted to see how they fared and how well they would work together given the addition of the new XO, the previous one had been killed in a mission and Warvanus had not elevated anyone in the team because of that mission failure. He hoped Foxtrot would bring smarts and better tactical planning to the group. Time would tell as he watched Foxtrot with renewed interest. He had passed his tests and as a result was given an offer to join instead of being executed. He watched his hands folded behind his back. He stood there as Krieger came up to him

“You summoned me Master?” he said with his head bowed.

“Yes Krieger, Soon I will be sending them out on the field and I want you to accompany them”

“Yes Master” he said

“Keep an eye on our newest recruit and report back to me your evaluation of him” he told his top operative.

“It will be done Master” he bowed and left.

Warvanus turned his attention back to Foxtrot as he navigated through Helltrack once more.

Wiretap was watching and timing Foxtrot as he went through he yelled “Hustle Captain” After this navigation they would switch to marksmanship, that would be where Widow and Sureshot would come in.

As Alexander turned to the balcony and saw Warvanus he blanked out his features but internally could not help but groan a little in despair.

Then he took in a few moments to breathe and then once more ran the hell track. Though he now knew what the course was like he was also already exhausted from the previous run and had no one to guide him through it like the last time. As such it was not really a surprise when Alexander left the hell track with quite a few more bruises and breathing quickly, almost ready to fall down if it were not for Warvanus watching him.

Instead, he stood against a pole slowly recovering himself after two runs of the hell track, feeling the mud that made his clothes heavier and dirty and just being extremely tired. Still, it would not do to lose complete control in front of Warvanus. He could not simply stand as if he had not twice run the most exhausting and cursed track in the galaxy but he at least made sure he did not fall onto the ground.

Following this Alexander groaned entirely once more as he realized that after this was marksmanship. He was already exhausted but now he also needed to fire a rifle a large number of times with good concentration which was not easy if you were already tired. But Alexander pushed himself through, deciding to not show weakness and after about two minutes of recovering at a pole he stood up straight and said with an out of breath voice "So marksmanship now right?"

Warvanus had seen enough, he could feel the fatigue in him through the Force but yet he still persisted, this part pleased him. He knew the newest recruit would be in good hands. He turned his back and left the balcony, he had reports to review, one of them was from the construction crews on the progress of Karza Nesti. Another was the intel he required. He had things to do.

Wiretap looked at Foxtrot and nodded “Yes Marksmanship is next, Sureshot and Widow have everything setup over this way” he pointed and he would walk him over to the shooting range.

At the shooting range Sureshot was tinkering with a droid, While Widow stood there. Her arms crossed, a stone look on her features. “He’s all yours Widow, go easy on him” She did not salute or acknowledge the order she simply gave the slightest of nods. Wiretap turned on his heel and walked off.

Widow looked at Foxtrot “Do you have any experience firing a blaster?” she said in a tone that was not condescending but not very hopeful either. Behind her was a table with all different kinds of blasters, Pistols, Rifles, Cannons, Sniper Rifles. She planned to give him a taste of each. When he answered she handed him a Blastech Model Blaster and indicated a target dummy. “Empty the clip into that dummy” she told him, the dummy was like a target with red zones for the head and chest. She watched to see how good he would do. She kept track of his score, she would not reveal it, not until this drill with all the weapons was completed.

Foxtrot, who was still breathing a little loudly recovering from two runs of the hell track responded to Widow's question "I have had some experience with an E-11 and shot a few people with it but not much. I think it is safe to say that the number of times I have actually fired a blaster or any weapon really only has one digit."

He then grabbed the blaster from Widow and would go into a kneeling position. With one leg laying down on the ground whilst the other was straight. This would stop him from being more likely to shake as his balance was closer to the center of gravity and it helped Alexander just generally calm down.

He then took a good look at the target, anticipating the range to the target from his current location, the angle of the rifle he was holding in his hands and the stability of his arms and fingers.

He would first, of course, remove the safety from the rifle if it was still on. Then he pointed the blaster rifle in the direction of the dummy. Slowly breathing he took a moment to look down the barrel of the gun and made some minor adjustments. Then he fired in as much of an efficient manner as possible. Knowing that aiming too long would just make his aim shakier.

His target was the left breast of the dummy where the heart would normally be. It was a safer target than the head considering that even if his shot was slightly messed up it still had some leeway in being able to hit the target.

Thus Alexander took in a quick breath and looked at the success of his shot. Though he did not expect much of it.
