OOC: Continuation from Pain & Suffering
Location: Karza, Sojourn’s Primary
The Fortress Castle of Lord Warvanus “Karza Nesti”
The arrival to the Sojourn system was uneventful, the freighter landed in the hanger of the stronghold of the War-Bringer. Outside troops and officers assembled standing at attention, at the entrance of the boarding ramp stood a woman, dressed in black, her shoulder length black hair down but not in her eyes. She stood her expression emotionless. She straightened up a bit as Warvanus descended the ramp. He stood at the bottom of the ramp waiting for his new apprentice to follow him.
Vinta Ketasa bowed “Welcome back Master” she said her eyes on the newcomer then back to her Master.
Warvanus still needed to have a conversation with his senior apprentice, she had disobeyed his orders but by doing so had saved his life. She would not be punished but rewarded. She had been a former Sniper for the Elite special forces unit code named : Dawn Patrol, her callsign was Widow, even then she was a very loyal and capable officer. Her affinity for the Force could not be ignored and she demonstrated superior skill when she struck down his former agent who had gone insane Krieger’s body was now feeding the life on Sojourn.
He looked at the Acolyte “This is Kinta Vetasa , my apprentice” He then looked at his apprentice “This is the newest Acolyte , show her where she will be staying, help her settle in and then both of you meet me in the gym in one hour”
With that his apprentice bowed in acknowledgement “Yes My Lord” she then turned to the newcomer.
“This way” she said and began to head out of the hanger.
Warvanus watched as the pair walked out. He then looked at one of his ranking officers “Recall the Dawn Patrol” he told him “I want them back here ASAP”
The officer bowed “Yes M’lord”
With that Warvanus made his way out of the hanger.

Re: Those First steps.... (Warv, Ashara)
Not much was said between either of them, She simply followed her masters senior apprentice. While they walked ahe hear his apprentice explain all their surroundings as they walked.
Every column had story ahe stopped to explain the history of an ancient painting. The Alcolyte could care less, her purpose as if this moment was to get situated and meet her master, she was getting agitated.
Before long they arrived to her new home, It had the bare essentials, something she never knew to begin with. At this point she wasnt comfortable sharing her personal space with someone she just meant. Ashara would enjoy the moment when she was by herself.
“Shall we be on our way”
Ashara didn't have anything to drop off or unpack except for the clothes on her back. She liked the fact their wasn't much of room a closet,a bed and a bathroom with a stand up shower. She knew she wouldn't being spending much time there.
It would seem the both of them shared the same sentiment, synchronized they both turned and left the room.
“Follow me”
She turned on a heel, and led the way to our predetermined destination. Ashara was fine with that. All that she saw in front of her was someone standing in her way, she thought it would be a gift to being her head to him. It wasn't long after they met their destination.
Their master was waiting for them.

Re: Those First steps.... (Warv, Ashara)
Kinta Vetasa said nothing as they walked, her lightsaber clipped to her side, every step she took was cold and calculating. Not to mention she had to fight back the urge to disembowel the newcomer. In the end Her Master had his reasons and her position did not change, she had served Warvanus for years at first as a top notch sniper and now as his apprentice. She was more than that though she had become the War Bringer’s hand. She was His personal Assassin. When they arrived at where her room would be she had spoke for the first time
“Here is your quarters, you will have access to the library from your data terminal” The door slid open and she showed her where everything was. Her tone was mechanical, cold just like she was. She had earned the codename Widow. After that was done she had beckoned her to follow her, the gym was not very far and thus a short walk, the door slid open and she entered, inside the gym was more like a Tera Kasi dojo, her Master afterall was a Master in the art. He stood in the center of the mat his arms behind his back. Behind him was a weapons rack, training blades, staffs, short blades, all sorts of melee weapons. But upon closer inspection they were not weapons at all, but training weapons. The walls were adorned with the banner of the Sith Emprie and that of the House of Blood, as well as his own sigil. The walls were black, the mat was a blood red. It was well lit. He nodded as his apprentices came in the gym. Kinta Vetasa stood in front of him at attention. The same was expected of the new comer. Once she had done so the War Bringer spoke.
“Get used to this room” he said without pre-amble “You will be spending a lot of time here” He started to pace as he spoke “I can feel the tension between you two” he continued “You both want to do away with the other” he stopped, eyeing them both “This is understandable as the Sith of Old operated this way, Rivaling apprentices competing for the attention of their Master, we no longer operate this way, our order is near collapse, near extinction, You both are here because you have potential to be powerful Sith and to destoy one another would be implying I make poor judgment in which case such actions would be rewarded with servere punishment, with the end result being death” He let the air hang in silence as they sank his words in.
Kinta Vetasa made no change in her expression but also said nothing.
After a few moments, Warvanus continued “Kinta Vetasa, that is all you are dismissed”
She bowed and left the room once the door slid shut behind her, Warvanus brought his attention to his new apprentice.
“Come this way” with that he turned around and walked over to the weapons rack “Choose” he said, whatever weapon she chose, she would be training in , whether it was the traditional sword, or a staff, or a pike, down the road would most likely the type of lightsaber she would construct once she was ready. Once she chosen her training weapon Warvanus beckoned her back to the training mat. Where he sat and invited her to do the same.
“The Force is everywhere” he began “It exists in all things, even the Jedi agree on this, what makes us more powerful than the Jedi is how we approach the Force, the Jedi would have you be calm and emotionless, where as the Sith draw power on their emotions, whether it be rage, hate, anger which are the more popular, but all emotions serve as fuel for the Dark Side. Darth Sidious once said that the Dark Side was a gateway to abilities that are considered unnatural.” He paused “Close your eyes , and think of one memory that triggers a powerful emotion, and once you have that memory locked in stretch out with your feelings, touch the Dark Side” He knew this would be taxing and difficult especially the first time, as he remembered the first time he touched the Force. It had forever changed him. “Feel the surrounding energies around you and in you”
He waited almost with baited breath to see what would happen

Re: Those First steps.... (Warv, Ashara)
The newly appointed apprentices stood listening intently as he spoke, as much as she did not want to let go of the animosity she had felt towards her counterpart. She felt he was right, Kintas was his senior apprentice, although her goal was to replace her at some point they shared the same common goal, eradicate those who stand against the sith. She would do as her master commanded.
Needless to say she was relieved when Lord Waranus excused Kintas from the training room. At least she would not be distracted without hindrance. Studying the armory of weapons, she passed each one, gently caressing the edges of every weapon. Waiting for the one weapon to speak to her so to speak,The Acolyte felt the staff radiate as she touched it, as though the force chose it for her. Staff, light as a feather, feeling as though it were an extension of herself. The staff Spun within her fingers she knew this was the weapon she would harness.
Pain is all the apprentice to knew, to draw from one memory was not an easy task, her life at been ridden with torture and pain. Possibly unlike many it would take focus to draw from particular moment, there were many causes to her pain. The difficult part was focusing on one pinnacle moment that broke her so many years ago.
Some time had passed, thoughts passed freely through her mind, each one carrying it's own weight of pain and suffering, A flash of torment screamed inside her mind taking her back to when she was a child, a vision of her father.
Her father was far from being a role model, he was the sole purpose why she treated down the path of the dark side.
His hate for her was unparalleled, he blames her for killing her mother during childbirth. Throughout her childhood he made sure she would remember his rage. He would chain her to the floor in the cellar, flogging her with a whip laced in vibro shards. This was the pinnacle fall.
Every emotion she felt as a child, the pain, the torment, burned as an eternal flame within her. She was not the same, fueled by passion to cause the same amount of pain flowed through her, feeling a glimpse, the same dark energy radiated around her master. For the first time in her life she felt complete utter fear.

Ashara did not move or close her eyes, she stood where she was staring into oblivion, desperate searching for the force within herself. She saw nothing in front of her, it seemed her master disappeared all together. She only saw her memory replaying in her mind over and over again. Anger manifested deep within, and she had felt nothing. As though the force was mocking her in front of her master.
At last, a final replay of the movie inside her head, she felt it slightly move through her body, at first she thought Waranus was purposely jolting her with an electrical device. Her Eyes rolled backwards, revealing the pale white iris, she became overwhelmed by the force in and around all of her surroundings. The constant vibrations she felt throughout her body, she stumbled to one knee. The force had overtaken her, using the staff as a crutch she stood. She felt as though she was standing in lush vast clearing being drained of all life, only to be replaced by death. Nausea took over, the force planting a treacherous vine intertwined deep within the dark depths of her soul.
Slowly the pulsating field left her body, she was now able to focus and see the world around her, as though the veil had been lifted. Her master stood motionless, but she could see more of him than she did before. She could feel the force everywhere now, hate, anger, betrayal, and the lust for power, to mention a few. She gave willing into her desires.

Re: Those First steps.... (Warv, Ashara)
Warvanus was open to the Force and he could feel it swirling around his newest apprentice and by her reactions he could tell she touched it for the first time. He remembered when he first touched the Force it became like a drug for the War-Bringer. He was pleased with her effort but he would never show it. When she came back to herself he spoke
“You have taken that first step on the path to true power” he began “In time it will get easier to touch the Force and with less effort” He studied her for a moment, The Dark Side he could feel definitely had an interest in her. “Now, I want you to do it again but I want you to focus on what you sense around you. Feel my presence, the staff in your hand, the banners on the floor” He rose
“The Force has what some call three heads, Control, Sense and Alter” His gaze on his new apprentice. “Control is the cornerstone of it all, without it the other aspects will suffer. Sense is the easiest to do which is why this is the first thing an Acolyte learns. Alter is the ability to change things with use of the Force, for example by lifting the staff with your mind is altering its location, but those lessons are still a ways off” He paused “Today we will focus on Sense”
So he repeated himself again “Reach out and touch the Force and focus on what you sense”
She had taken that first step, now it was time for her to take another, and then another. These first steps were the hardest for any Initiate into the Sith Arts.
