Ryder continued with Jade through the winding halls till she came to a halt at the corner before their destination. He watched her hand signals, either she said “stop” “bucket heads” “dancing” “tango” or “stop” “contact” six” “need backup”. Ryder doubted it was the prior since that was Rebel hand signs so he nodded that he understood her. He replied in signals, “keep watch” with that he rolled up his right sleeve and activated his holo-computer. This was just a show to cover up what he was really doing, his mind stretched out in the Force, his vision leaving his body.
His mind’s eye turned around the corner and looked at the six men guarding the door. With a quick examination he spotted that two of them carrier spark grenades. Ryder’s mind switched from observing through the Force to grabbing hold of one of those two men’s mind. He implanted his dominance through the Force and sent a simple command into the pirates mind.
The next moment the pirates hand shakily dropped to his belt and clicked the activation switch on the grenade.
“What the hell!” Yelled one of the other guards who spotted what his comrade just did. “Everyone move!”
It was a little to late as the grenade detonated in a bright flash and lethal amounts of electricity arced out and into the six men. Ryder pulled himself back in and straighten up, his mind taking a moment to readjust. He blinked several times before looking at Jade. “Alright lets move.”
Not waiting for Jade to reply Ryder dashed around the corner and to the door’s control panel. He plugged his arm into the panels dataport and began the process of slicing the controls. Once his program neared completion he looked to Jade and started a count down with his left hand. “Three” “two” “one”
The door slid open with a hiss revealing the control room with just two or three techs sitting inside. Ryder had to unplug giving Jade the chance to dash in and take control of the room.

Re: Operation Red Sun (Jade)
Jade took a deep breath, the cold air of the corridor filling her when she inhaled. Taking lives away was always exhilarating, but this run was different. Focusing on the blood rushing in her ears, she recalled the cries, the pain. The pirates’ fear felt like a thick cloak, the viscous and cold sensation slowing her down. Their fury was a red hot breeze against her exposed cheeks, their pain an electric shock every time one of them fell.
Feeling the battle was as disturbing as it had always been, but it had a distinct quality this time around. Like a familiar picture under a new light, something was odd about the familiar shapes, everything felt somewhat different. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but this “light” put an oppressive weight on her shoulders and made feel both hot and cold at the same time. Like a spring fever, it made thinking trickier and movement harder, but at the same time it made the experience feel surreal and dreamlike.
Always forward, she pierced through this blood soaked dreamscape. Her armour suffocated her, cutting away all feelings, hiding her flesh under a steel cover. Her exposed skin drowned her in the red tide that was the struggle between life and death. Deep within, she knew that advancing was the only thing keeping her from being trapped in the sap that fear and pain formed around her.
Ryder’s reassuring presence felt like a mouthful of fresh air, a calming coolness around him. It was different from the oppressive cold of anguish and fear, feeling rather like a shade under the unforgiving sun. It was a void place where the world couldn’t touch her, couldn’t make her skin burn in agony as the rising tide devoured her.
A hot flare of excitement left her when she exhaled. Her breather was nearing its end, and she had a fight to win, a mission to accomplish. She watched as Ryder knelt, his hands playing with his holocomputer. Then, something disturbed their cool void.
Like the tickling of a subtle breeze on her neck, something moved away from them. Following the disturbance in the back of her mind. It felt like a whisper in her ear, making the hair in her arms stand up. The gentle caress guided her to a group of small, warm objects.
They were oddly shifting, never quite still but always the same in essence. Their intricacies too complex to make out, she could only describe them as pleasant. In a way, they were like stones heated by the sun, keeping their warmth even in the cold of the night.
Then, the breeze reached one of the warm ones, and suddenly the cold of fear clung from her shoulders. A muttered curse and a hit in the ground reached her, but before she could make sense of that fact, the world went white. She felt the shock, her heart stopping and her limbs twisting. Yet, she could only remain there, perfectly still, while the storm rampaged around her.
Then, just like that, it was gone. Like rocks sinking in a pond, all the warm ones disappeared, leaving the corridor cold and bare again. The lack of a supporting point startled her. She felt dizzy and weak, her skin crawling full of the remnants of the discharge. She raised her eyes to look for Ryder, looking for comfort in the aftermath of such a tragedy.
A blood chilling scream filled the station, echoing in the bare corridors.
