Biodomes (Mora)

Jorvan walked aimlessly. He was both incredible worried for Rhoden and incredible angry with him. But, beating him senseless would be an effort in futility for multiple reasons--mainly in that he'd be the one who ended up floored. He took a deep breath, "Go on, go on," he said to Haly, "I'll call you when I can think of something besides assaulting him." she smiled and patted him lightly on the shoulder before walking off.

He headed for the biodome, he found it more comfortable than other areas of the station--he rather enjoyed the outdoors, and that was as close as he got on Utopia; outside of the holodecks, anyways. He entered and was surprised to see the girl--Mora Norith he remembered vaguely. He was more surprised to see her laughing, he drew closer and heard her murmur "So much life." his anger melted.

"It is a lovely place, isn't it?" he asked quietly. He looked at her, "I don't suppose you know what's gotten into Rhoden, do you?" he asked.

Mora whirls around to find the guy, Jorvan, standing on the stone path. She smiles lightly.

"This is the most beautiful place I've ever seen." She admits, slowly spinning around to take in all the green once more. "Growing up in a desert this is the most organic life I've ever seen in one place."

Mora stoops and picks a bright red flower from the ground, frowning at Jorvan's second question.

"He's changing. When we got here I left Desade and Rhoden to go change. When I came back Desade was gone and Rhoden had this dreamy look about him, not to mention a part of his hair was sticking up." She lifts the flower to her face and sniffs. It smells sweet, kind of like one of the shops Mora would most frequently steal from.

Jorvan scowled, "He's been like this before, not quite this bad, but then again he had a considerably larger amount of firepower to supplement his problems then." he grimaced.

"I think we're to the point where we just have to wait... I'm trying to coordinate with Haly about a plan of attack, so to speak." Jorvan looked around and leaned closer, "In the meantime keep this as quiet as possible, I can't keep running around and quelling rumors."

Mora looks up at Jorvan and gives him a conspiratorial wink.

"My lips are sealed."

She tucks the red flower behind her ear and smiles at Jorvan.

"Thank you" he said, returning Mora's smile. He tilted his head slightly, she really was rather young. He never really payed attention to that sort of thing--he was too busy being paranoid in Rhoden's stead. Though, to be fair, Rhoden's vigilance was simple more concealed than his own.

He wondered--perhaps 'worried' was a more appropriate word--how the young woman standing before him would be affected by Silence, and Rhoden for that matter. He sighed, that situation was far beyond his control, and for all he knew she was already up there with them. Even sweet little girls could be crazy, after all--pained memories of Rhoden's sister flashed to mind and he felt a tightness in his throat.

(Mess Hall (Anyone))

Mora walks back to the mess hall to find Rhoden. After the talk with Jorven, Mora wants to study him, see what makes him tick. Entering the mess hall and looking back at the table in the corner where she left Rhoden, Mora sees him stand up with an unknown man. She cautiously walks up to them, noticing Rhoden's obvious joy at the man's company.

"Hey Rhoden," She says. "I see you've found someone while after I left."

Rhoden smiled broadly. "Ah, but here she is! Ms. Mora Norith." he said, giving a slight bow and gesturing to the girl as she approached, "Come, come. Mr. Vassyl here--ah, Captain Vassyl--has expressed some interest in you, my dear." Rhoden said, drawing out the last word.

He looked to the Captain, "I believe a meeting with Silence can wait. Unless you have an objection?" he said, the question meant as,perhaps not a threat... a warning; but vocalized as a simple invitation for the man's opinion.

Jorvan walked into the small communication booth in his quarters and inserted a card into the holoprojector inside. It flickered to life, bathing him in artificial blue light. A waiting screen shimmered into existence and it remained constant for almost a full five minutes before a human form took shape. "Jorvan!" Darik Carbine said, smiling, "To what do I owe the honor?" he laughed. Jorvan wet his lips, "It's Rhoden and this... woman." he said without preamble. "You know about how Rhoden was after his parents, after Irene--the real Irene." Darik's smile faded. "It's worse, and something about this new woman's gotten to him." Jorvan continued, "And she's gone and done what you couldn't--opened him up to the idea of the Force." Darik looked alarmed now.

"This isn't good." he said, he looked down and worked his jaw briefly, "I'm on my way." Jorvan blinked, "Hold on, I'll set up a rendezvous so I can bring you in--you don't know where--" Darik held up a hand and Jorvan trailed off, "I know exactly where you are." Jorvan's eyes widened, "Uh. but, Rhoden..?" he said weakly, "Oh, Rhoden didn't tell me." he said, "I'll be along within a week or two, out." the hologram vanished and Jorvan frowned. So much for the privacy of one's own mind.

3+ weeks later

Rhoden walked onto the operations deck and stopped in front of Station Commander Armand Kaon. Technically the man outranked him, but for all intents and purposes Utopia remained Rhoden's realm. "Kindly notify me if Inquisitor Prazutis arrives." he said stiffly. He'd rather much utter the words "shoot on sight" but regardless of the overt threat by his recent project there was little to warrant summary orders of death.

"Of course, Mr. Carbine." the Commander said, Rhoden smiled bitterly at the change from "sir" to "Mr. Carbine" but soon that situation too would be rectified...
