When history comes to life(Training)
When history comes to life(Training)
The Grand Inquisitors was passing the guarded archives, when she decided to walk in. it was a place to learn for many, she had long been past the time of learning. When she walked past the locked up area of the archives though something caught her eye. carefully she opened the locked up area with the code and the force. Walking in she walked past the few Sith books she had put in her till she got to a holocron. "How did you get in here?" She said as she pulled it out. Carefully she studied it's design. 'A Sith?! Pratizus's?' She thought.
Kota didn't recall Pratizus being strong enough to pull off such a feat.
Carefully she traced it's design, this wasn't a recent holocron. It's design was old, older than her old, she had only read about these. Using the force she activated it, the visual of Darth Nihilus appeared. "Nu'm urvaz Nihilus, kuris aras tu?" (I am Darth Nihilus, who are you?) It said in ancient Sith. Quickly she turned it off. "What the bloody hell?" She said. Her sith was extremely rusty, but she thought it said Nihilus.

She picked up the holocron, quickly she re locked up the section she was in. The Grand Inquisitor was set and determined to get to her office. Once she got there she closed her door and locked it. No one needed to enter the door unless it was an extreme emergency. Carefully she placed the holocron on the ground, holocrons were powerful, but dangerous. The fact that this was a Sith holocron made it worse. 'What the hell did Fett say about Nihilus?' She thought trying to remember. It was a time she wished she had access to her Dreadnought database. She couldn't remember what it was, it wasn't an important aspect of her life anymore. "Screw it." She said as she sat down. Using the force to reactivate the holocron.

As he continued to speak, she drew in the force, doing this was easy for someone like her. . She wanted to understand what he was saying and wanted to do so without a droid. Droids were unreliable when it came to security of what went on. Rather she calmly had to reach within her own mind to try to sense what it was he was saying. His words were old and lost to much of the world, being lost was something she was an expert on. Slowly she moved to control her own mind in an attempt to take in whatever it was that he was saying. Kota had to be careful as to not move too quickly, this was her own mind after all. Letting the force flow through her body, she had to sense his words and control her ability to process the words to make sense.
It was quite difficult to process ancient Sith without translation, but with time she felt this would be possible. “Nu uzpraji tu kuris tu aras?” (I asked you who you are?) He asked. She continued to try to sense each letter and each word. Her mind had to be able to grasp the ancient Sith in order to understand this person that created it. Slowly twisting the words in her mind so that they made sense to her. She tried to get the words to make sense quicker, her experience with Sith in the past told her time wasn't on her side.
Kota struggled to control her own mind, it seemed to be too much information too fast. One could see the struggle on her face, if one could see it under her helmet. “Nu uzpraji tu kuris tu aras?” (I asked you who you are?) He asked the tone in his voice and seemed to get more angry. “Quiet, I'm working.” She snapped back. Her focus was lost in that moment, once again she had to calm herself. Sensing the words once more and attempting to twist them in her mind to make sense. Slowly she tried to control the words within her mind, she had to get them to make sense to her. Time and patience had to be put aside to attempt to get this process to go faster in her own mind.
She could almost feel the dark energy of anger coming from the holocron, he seemed impatient with her attempt to understand him. Kota ignored the Dark Lord, concentrating on the process within her mind. “Kuris aras tu!" (WHO ARE YOU!) He yelled. Trying to sense his words again even though he yelled, once again twisting them to try to get them to make sense in her mind. Kota was attempting to go even faster, processing the words as fast as her mind was going to allow her.

Re: When history comes to life(Training)
She took a deep breath as she finally understood what he was saying. "Nu sua tave ruza Inquisitor, nu'm liudnas nie wo speaks zarchas tsis anymore." (I am the Grand Inquisitor, I'm sorry no one speaks ancient sith anymore.) She said. The image of Nihilus looked at her. "Kad tu aras speaking zhol." (But you are speaking it) He said. "Tik su elgtis iv tave qy nu zin kia atranka xok tezn vi tu were yelling sso nun." (Only with use of the force I had to pick up just as you were yelling at me .) She said. The image scoffed at her. "Pathetic jidai, tu virt'ne zenoti kam tu aras isarian." (Pathetic Jedi, you don't know what you are doing .) He said.
Kota just rolled her eyes under her helm at the holocrons arrogance. "Mada nu tezn noret kia zenoti kait tu itikuda kash tave Inquisitor archives. Nu virt'ne zinot amzi nuo tsis arrogance, especially zarchas." (Look I just want to know how you got in the Inquisitor archives. I don't have time for sith arrogance, especially ancient.) She said. He paused and eyed her, as if from no were she could feel darkness creeping around her. She used the force to turn the holocron off.
This thing was dangerous in anyones hands, but she couldn't remember who Nihilus was. So she needed to know who inside the Inquisitors was using it. She turned it back on. "Tu valia liepti nun kam nu noret kia zenoti, kuris brought tu stai?" (You will tell me what I want to know, who brought you here?) She asked.

The holocron image looked at her closely. "Tu zinot vel control than tym did, kad nu tariam expect niekas mazet iv zo jidai." (You have more control than he did, but I would expect nothing less of a Jedi.) He said. Kota eyed him closely. 'So it's a him.'She thought as she sighed. "Tu're saintumas tave falykas ir nu sua nenx zo jidai." (You're avoiding the question and I am not a Jedi.) She said as she got tired of him using that term. He seemed to eye her more closely as if he moved closer from where the holocron laid. "Tu're kia malsini nuo zo tsis." (You're to calm for a Sith.) He said. The Grand Inquisitor studied the being. 'This being was powerful, I need to be careful.' She thought. "Nu'm zo hadzuska meistras." (I'm a Shadow master.) She said. She was no fool when it came to power, holocrons were made in the image of those who created them. They could be powerful weapons if the one who created them was powerful in life. It held all there knowledge and sometimes even essence.
He seemed to eye her more, he looked puzzled by the term. "Kam kash zo hadzuska?" (What is a Shadow?) He asked. She smiled a little under her helmet. "Liepti nun kuris brought tu stai kia tave Inquisitors ir nu valia liepti tu kam zo hadzuska kash." (Tell me who brought you here to the Inquisitors and I will tell you what a Shadow is.) She said. Kota was good at getting what she wanted. Long ago she had hung around the Sith, when they were at a high. So she had picked up how to deal with them.

Re: When history comes to life(Training)
The visage of Darth Nihilus was quiet for a moment, the mask turning downwards in contemplation for a moment. He seemed to be debating whether or not to take her deal, but after a moment, he spoke again.
“[I was brought here by the heir. He came to me looking for power… do you do the same?]”
The visage looked back up and studied the Grand Inquisitor for a moment, tilting his head to the side slightly in curiosity.
“[No… you have a mastery of the force he does not. For now.]”
Nihilus trailed off, the black eye holes of the mask gazing into the Grand Inquisitor in a way that most normal eyes could never do. It was like he could see her soul.
“[I have answered your question. Now tell me what a shadow is.]”

Re: When history comes to life(Training)
His eyes didn't move her, she had seen such darkness before. 'Heir..' she thought. She almost laughed, almost... How many had claimed the title of heir and failed to be such. She had her suspicion that Prazitus was who the Sith referred to, as he seemed to talk to her as if she would lose her power. The only way she would lose her power was to die, something Kota had no plans to do. "Nu live between tave jidai ir tsis, neither irus nor jen'." (I live between the Jedi and sith, neither light nor dark.) She said. "IMPOSSIBLE!" He yelled with anger hinted in the yelling. "Niekas kash impossible, extremely kietas ir rare, xaz." ( Nothing is impossible, extremely hard and rare, yes) She said.
He seemed really angry with her. "Tu're zo liar." He said. (You're a liar.) He said. "Nu virt'ne tash." She said. (I don't lie) She said. The Grand Inquisitor knew Sith didn't take the words of others, they had a nasty habit of lying to gain something from the other. She knew she'd regret it, but she sighed. "Reiksme nuyak saarai ar tu virt'ne jostas nuyak words" (Sense my truth if you don't trust my words ) she said. She was giving him permission to feel her with the force, even though she knew the danger of this.

Re: When history comes to life(Training)
Despite not needing breath, the ancient Sith breathed a groan of frustration at the woman who spoke with him. He calmed himself somewhat, though no Sith could truly calm themselves as the Jedi, or perhaps this “shadow” could.
At her invitation, Nihilus’ dark energy permeated not only the Grand Inquisitor, but the room around her. It felt… hungry. An all consuming energy that once fed upon people, cities, nations… planets. This Sith had once used the Grand Inquisitor’s same power of life force transference, but had used it to date his hunger to the point that entire planets had been stripped of all life in an instant.
“[How interesting… to toe the line between darkness and light… it was once thought impossible.]”
Nihilus’ mask nodded slowly, investigating the Grand Inquisitor’s own energy.
“[You hold… the same power I once used. The same power that the heir seeks.]”
Once more, Nihilus nodded, and a sinister delight mixed into his energy at this realization.
“[If he fails me… the hunger will one day consume him. But even if I am not there to teach him… perhaps you will?]”

Re: When history comes to life(Training)
She didn't like him poking and prodding, the energy was not simply dark but hungry as well. "Del" (out) she said. However he didn't seem to acknowledge her. "Del." (Out) She said again. "Kam ar nu setup noreti nenx kia." (What if I should choose not to.) He said. Her demeanor shifted in the moment, under her helmet her eyes shifted from the blue to purple violet. "DEL!" (OUT) She shouted with her rage and fury, pushing his presence back and out of her.
Kota gasped for air as he left, but she recovered quickly. He had pushed something that had been in reserve for a long time. Unlike Sith who used their rage constantly, her's was pushed into reserve so to speak and it was built for a long time. It was probably the only way she was able to push such a powerful darkness out. The Grand Inquisitor composed herself. "Nu gal't mokyti kamz nuyak midwan, zhol's tolus kia grezmenes kash tave nedro hands." (I can't teach anyone my power, it's far to dangerous in the wrong hands.) She said. She didn't know how he would react to such, but once again it was the truth.

Re: When history comes to life(Training)
"Antai kash tu're silpnuma, kia afraid kia akcij delsie tu'saen." (There is you're weakness, to afraid to move outside yourself.) He said. Her face changed under her helmet, it was perhaps the truth. However that had not been her fault, it seemed like every time she attempted to do so someone always stopped her. An eerie silence passed, her lost in her thoughts, him simply waiting for her to respond. "Rasiz nu setup ty'ee tu kia buti gabus kia fight verciau su tave jen' garthaz. Tu vaidas kia zinot tave ty capable, falykas kash isar tu zinot tave resolve?" (Perhaps I should train you to be able to fight better with the dark side. You seem to have the strength capable, question is do you have the resolve?) He finally broke the silence. Perhaps he was getting impatient, but perhaps he had a point. She did lack powers in the dark side and it wasn't like she could walk into the sith temple like she once had long ago.
Very slowly and carefully, she removed her helmet, revealing her face. "Nu sua Mytha' Kota, meistras iv tave Shadows ir nu sua whiling kia svies kam tu noret kia mokyti." (I am Mytha' Kota, master of the Shadows and I am whiling to learn what you want to teach.) She had not said her first name in a long time, but she was perhaps of the old guard, were it was simply rude to have a master call you by ones last name.

Re: When history comes to life(Training)
The Sith Spirit slowly nodded as she accepted its willingness to teach. It examined her face, seeming to study her like a project. It seemed... content, both by seeing her face and being given a name to associate. However, before he began her training, there was still one point he tied back into.
"If I do this... you must train the heir. In my state of death... those powers, I can no longer use, nor can I teach. You, however... you can show him how to feed."
In an instant, the Grand Inquisitor realized what the Dark Lord referred to. The hunger he spoke of, "feeding," it was a string of vague references, until now.
Darth Nihilus. A Sith who could consume the living force in a way no other can... by draining Life Force!
"The heir has not discovered his hunger... yet. If he does not learn this ability... he could starve and die."
Nihilus' spirit grew restless in its confines, his lower half still emerging from the holocron as he spoke.
"Give me your word, he will learn to sate his hunger... and I will teach you all I can."
The offer was that of a deal with a literal beacon of evil, especially as Kota wasn't entirely sure who "The Heir" was, even with her suspicions. How could she be sure of who the Sith referred to? It seemed likely that he spoke of Prazutis, but if that wasn't the case, how could she fulfill such a promise? And if it was Prazutis, how could she be sure that the Empress' agent could be trusted with such a power?
But if she didn't... Prazutis, or this "heir" would starve to death without knowing even how to sate their hunger.
