Catching up. (Mercy. Kita. Warv.)

Kita recognized the ship she had boarded. It was Jacobi's ship. "Was he captured too???" She wondered to herself. It was going to be awhile before they left wherever it was they were going. She was free to walk around freely and found her way to a small cafeteria. Starving, Kita didn't think much but want to eat. Having not of eaten a proper meal in a year, she found herself shoving a plate full of food. Not only was she now clean...but was soon to be well fed. She really needed to gain weight back on herself.
She walked over and sat down at a nearby table, taking care not to eat to fast since her stomach wasn't use to so much food anymore. And the last thing she wanted to do was throw up right now. Little did she know that she was to meet a old acquaintance from her first travel from home...

Mercy was glad Emic had given her troop a rest. Well, it wasn't much of a rest, considering they were about to be knee-deep in more banthashat on their upcoming mission. Things were taking a dirty turn, considering Tormentous had some back, and Mercy scowled into her plate as it was being filled by the cook droids. "More greens, and an extra sauce," she tailored her plate. Once she got to the end of the line, she snagged a napkin, and a fork. She was so invested in her thoughts, she went even further down memory lane than she intended. A certain orange haired wily bastard came into her mind, and her scowl had uglified into a slight grin. "Fox, you idiot," she cursed him aloud, wishing the brawny talk-to-much jokester was her partner instead of the ratty Jackal. The Phoenix could atleast trust he wasn't up to no-good, because the moron was too much a meat head for it. His goal was to get Mercy to smile atleast once before they become Lords themselves, under Tormentous. But Fox didn't make it. Tormentous passed his gaze disapprovingly across Fox. But upon her, he lingered. Felt her. Wanted her. It had felt terrifying at that moment. But it also invigorated her, filling her with some sense of desire to fulfill, to please this man. To prove she was better than anyone else in that room. Tormentous was completely awashing her in Dark Side energy, and she had relished it in that split second.
However when she had left those chambers, she had felt sick. For her to just be picked over her partner, as though she were some prized piece of showdog that might earn the bidders good money, should she perform up to their standard. For Fox to just be put down, that way. It made her ill, and she wasn't sure if she was ready for that league of sith living. Vibrant green eyes of Fox had made contact with her, for once, frightened hazels. And he reassured her everything wasn't that big of a deal. That this was just another trial, and they would get through it. Fox was an idiot, but he was sweet, and he was a big softie, and could see she was shaken. He saw, when Slade didn't. Or Blood, rather, she heatedly exchanged the personas.
Making her way to the table they once all sat at, she noticed someone already sitting there. Brunette waved curtains hiding half of her face, she already weaponized her face to tell this lunching screwball to screw off, but getting closer she felt a familiar signature. "Kita?" She asked completely skeptical. The Phoenix gripped her lunch tray as though if this person wasn't Kita, she'd whack them in the head with it. Just for them having allowing her to embarrass herself, somehow.

Mouthful of food, Kita heard a familar voice call her name. She looked up, noodles dangling from her mouth in frozen suspension as she glanced over the brunette. She bit the noodles letting them drop back into the bowl while she finished chewing her food. Swallowing, Kita wasn't sure if to feel happy...or embarrassed on the fact she was scarfing food down like a rabid animal. "Mercy?" She glanced down at the tray she seemed to be gripping tightly and smiled slightly. "Careful not to break that." She teased. "You will end up with your food all over the floor."
Kita didn't realize Mercy was shocked by her current appearance. Thin, pale, and still getting over the fact she was no longer stuck in a cell, she was very different from the lean tanned young girl who left Tibrin a year ago. Mercy didnt seem to have changed much since she last saw her.

"So you can inhale it off the floor like you're doing now?" she nodded a kidding smirk in her opposing female's tray's direction, the plate nearly empty after Mercy assumed she had just sat there. "I'll pass. You're not the only hungry one here." She slid across from the rail-thin girl, taking note of her protruding belly on such a small body. Girl was pale, hair overgrown, not that her heathenistic barbarian ass was one to talk. She was immediate to start interrogating the girl, but seeing how fast she shoveled food in her face, she looked like a starving alley cat. "Slow down Kat, because if you start choking I'm not saving you." Clearly the girl was important, she was back on Tormentous' ship. But why did it look like she was fresh out of the Spire? Wasn't she taken by-
Oh-
"Blood locked you up, didn't he? And what? Tormentous freed you?" Hazels sparkled with keen interest as the Phoenix pried for intel. She wasn't usually nosey, but she had a direct hand with Kita, and now needed to know what happened in the time lapse. Tormentous went to work on his own secret plans, and Mercy had tagged all while she could, but the closer and closer he got to sithy things, she strayed further and further from him. She wasn't ready for another Master...there was just no way she could walk back into that lifestyle, right now. Grunt work with Emic and her taskforce was fine by her.

She paused from her eating and smiled at Mercy's wit. "I missed you too." She replied teasingly. The nickname Kat seemed to fit Kita as it rolled off of Mercy's tounge. Feiry, curious, unpredictable, loyal to its owner, aloof at times, cautious, and agile. She gave a small laugh. "Seems about right." She thought. She gave a unamused look her way and pouted as mercy suggested she slow down. "...try having someone say that to you after living a year with barely food at all in your stomach." She countered seriously.
She raised a brow in question. "Yes. Blood put me in the spire. ...But I don't know about this Tormentous people keep referring too." She began eating her food again but more slowly now as mercy asked questions. "I honestly don't know why I was taken out of the spire other then Blood showing his scaly butt around again to get me for I guess whkever this new Sith Lord is that has taken over." She looked up from her now empty plate and pushed it aside. "Obviously the mandalorians when we were last in battle took me prisoner. And after the ship was raided by pirates, somehow I ended up at the spire. Needless to say with Blood finding out later I was there, he threw me in the pits of hell himself." She tilted her head curiously. "...Have you heard from Jacobi by the way?" Her voice had a hint of hope in it for the information as she rested her head in her hands on the table.

The pyro-tempered girl gave a 'touche' tilt of her head at the remark. Yea, the Spire was rough. She would rather kill herself, or atleast piss off a random to kill her so she wouldn't have to end up there, than end up there. She began taking apart her own meal, firing off questions in tandem with the non-refuge refuge. But once Kita had start asking on Jacobi, Tormentous, and all the stuff she wasn't really supposed to answer, her chews became more prolonged, her hazels downcast.
"Blood is a snake, if anyone ever laid eyes on one. Textbook." Her brow furrowed, trying to find a way around this messy subject. Well, no, not messy. Lethal. Now that Tormentous was back on the throne, she couldn't exactly be sure how far she had played a hand in Blood's downfall. And if there was something she knew, Blood hadn't accomplished nearly HALF of what Tormentous had, and it had nothing to do with skill. Brutality was a massive factor in this. She recalled seeing 'Jacobi' on his most highest peak in warfare, his unbelievable level of carnage, and how efficiently he delivered it. Twice Mercy had gotten herself in a headlock, one she had delivered herself from, and one he had assisted in. His aim was...
She shivered, those gurgled noises in her ear as her captor couldn't hold on to her any longer, let alone breathe, as a beskar vibroaxe had jutted out of the side of his neck.
Hazels were brought back to the baby blues of the expectant and clearly interested young woman. "I'm thinking Blood probably tossed you in there just because you were affiliated with someone other than him. He was super paranoid when I had - Well, Me and Dastan, my previous Master had defected from his House once he came to rule. I rather learn under someone who had common sense than someone that got off on eating people."
She wanted to let that last question just die. For it to just go back in the little girl's mouth, and for her to just swallow it, or have her lips taped up, anything. She definitely didn't want to be the one to tell the girl she had been wholeheartedly used. And how even that backfired. How everyone else knew the truth but the pawn used, Mercy was clueless on. But the truth would hurt Kita, and who knew how much that would derail her? She was a nice girl. Honest or whatever. Tormentous was about to gut her of all of that, and he was going to do it with a smile on his face. Not that anyone could see it, but who was to doubt he'd have a great time watching the anguish wrack this kid?
"No, I haven't. Sorry. I'm on a new, uh, team. I lost contact with you guys shortly after that war, and he had other stuff he had to solo-dolo."
She kept her eyes on her food, fighting to keep this lie as smooth as possible. Dastan effortlessly lied. She didn't. She wasn't a good one, at that. But what he had given her was hopefully enough for her to get away with this one. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to stop herself from merely escorting her to him, and having him tell her, himself.

"Well that's just stupid. Throwing me in a prison just because I wasn't being trained by him. How immature can you get?!?" Kita thought he sounded much like that of a immature child who thought that if he couldn't have the toy, then no one could. She glared at her empty plate in thought imagining that big lizards butt being hauled into the the spire prison into endless darkness. Surely he could learn a thing or two by enduring the humiliation and suffering she went through staying in there after first arriving.
It didn't go unnoticed the awkwardness that Mercy gave off. Observing her body language and eyes looking down as she grew quiet, Kita began wondering if perhaps something had happened to Jacobi. However her answer was one that said she didn't know his current whereabouts after they split up. "Oh..." She replied quietly. There was clear dissapointment on her face as she looked away in thought. "Where is he then?" She wondered. She could sense he was alive. Always had. She had been around him enough during their short brief bouts of training and battles to pick up on him easily when she concentrated enough. She looked up at Mercy forcing a small smile on her face. "Well...i hope he is doing well..."
Kita sighed and rested her head on the table in her arms tiredly. Mercy could no doubt see Kita had visible scars from being in the prison upon her wrist caused by the shackles she sometimes had cuffed on when being moved from her cell. A physical reminder for her what she went through at the hands of Blood. If there was anyone she was wishing to see tortured...it was him. Death wasn't enough. Kita always found death to be a easy way out of things. No...She wanted to see him suffer. More so then he felt right now after being dethroned by Tormentous.

Mercy didn't wanna lead the girl on for lack context, especially since that's all she had given her. But she couldn't exactly take her back to her quarters or anything; she was on a completely different level of the ship with the other non Force Users. She wasn't even supposed to be up here after lunch, and she doubted it would look good on Kita for her to be meandering with the lowlies and expendables. Just as bad as it would be for Mercy to be associating with the Force Users on the term that she had literally just admitted to Emic she was trying to avoid that life. She liked Emic so far, and whatever little or even imaginary trust she had built up with the Commander, she didn't want to lose, yet. Especially is there were talks of her getting rid of Tver as a partner. Fat chance.
"Uh- how about..we pick this conversation up after you meet your superiors, and you can brief me. We're really not even supposed to be talking, since I know you're here on ... well, probably official business. I don't want us to catch crap over whatever. You clearly see how petty they are."
Mercy finished her plate, scattering the majority of her food across her plate, eating quite a bit of it, then stood, preparing her leave. Mercy didn't wanna say she cared for this little sassy girl, but something about a girl who kicks Dark Lords of the Sith in their balls just resonated with her. That kinda grit; but to be serving the same moron. It was super unfortunate.

Vyn Kaal, who had remained on the Harbinger had been running drills all day , Even Mandalorians had to eat, he was born into Clan Bralor but had renounced his clan to fight for Clan Ordo. Jacobi had proved himself a capable warrior, as had his Sith counterpart the one they called Tormentous. His employer, the one called Warvanus was not on board. He had been left to help train other Mandalorians who had flocked to Clan Ordo. He was nearing completion of this assignment and was en route to meet up with the War-Bringer. He cared not for Sith politics, As long as he was getting paid he would do what was asked. Except for Warvanus, He would do more if Warvanus was the one who was asking, he had freed Vyn from that prison rock that he was left to rot in betrayed by his own clan. Warvanus without the Force had bested him in one on one combat, Warvanus had earned the loyalty and respect of one Vyn Kaal.
He was exhausted when he walked to the Mess hall, he was hungry. He grabbed some of this, and some of that and then took a seat at an empty table and he began attacking his food. In the end it was nothing more than a bowl of stew, some rolls, and a few protien bars, and a cup of water to wash it all down with.
He did not pay attention to those around him as he ate. He was not in armor nor did he hide his face with a helmet. Despite his obliviousness to those around him he could feel some eyes on him.
“Foods not bad” he said to himself “Better than prison food at any rate” he tore into a roll and dipped it in the stew before him.
He did notice two young women at another table eating and conversing, he was one table away from them. He was sure some of his comrades were going to join him at his table at any moment. They always did, even at chow time they went over tactics, weapon maintenance, techniques for effective sharpening of melee weapons. Such was the life of a Mandalorian

There was clear disappointment coming from Kita as Mercy mentioned they shouldn't even be talking. Kita didn't quite understand the difference in rank between the two or what risks Mercy was taking talking to her right now as a force user. "Umm...Ok?" As mercy finished what she could in a rush and leaving her tray on the table, Kita thought about picking off of it whatever was left despite already being full. "I'll definitely find you once I talk to my superiors." She replied happily. Kita was in for a surprise as soon as she found her love interest Jacobi was in fact the Reigning Sith Lord Tormentous once she met him again.
As Mercy left, Kita sensed someone elses eyes on her. Her light blue gaze looked up to meet with the mandalorian Vyn sitting no more then a few feet away. Noticing his armor, she recognized it as the same exact clan of mandolorians who had taken her prisoner back in the war on Vorpa'ya. Her unfortunate situation for being separated from Jacobi and ending up in the spire prison. She shot a cold piercing glare in his direction before deciding to set her attention on the remaining food in front of her that was left behind and slowly picking at it.
