The Frozen Mountains of Roon
Roon system, Abrion sector
Off the Triellus Trade Route, Outer Rim Territories
Callé watched the pale spectre before her, meditating by the observation deck, with an unreadable expression in her aquamarine eyes. How long had it been since she first arrived in this base, now abandoned? Days? Weeks? Months? Most of her time spent here had been under the mental and spiritual torture she had endured at the hands of that horrendous darksider, the one that had captured her from Tatooine and slain her entire entourage. It probably hadn't been too long ago since she had first seen the darkness that lied within the heart of Roon. But to her, it felt like an eternity.
Roon - mysterious and inaccessible. It was the last place in the universe that Callé wanted to be. But what choice did she have? This being, ghostly and gaunt, who called himself Satotai, had come upon her out of nowhere. He had saved her life, but had claimed her for himself. Callé's green hand found the collar that now adorned her neck.
"Come with me, girl," the Nagai had said. "Do not speak. You will submit."
At that time, Callé had been too far gone to resist, and too weak to run away. What more could she have done but allow herself to be enslaved all over again?
The green-eyed gaze of the Nagai had been so intense, so chilling…
"I can sense your fear," he spoke suddenly, eyes still closed in his meditative stance, and she gasped out of fear, stumbling a step backward. "As long as you serve me, you shall never again have to suffer as you have. That I promise you."
"W-Wha...?" Callé fumbled for an answer before her posture relaxed somewhat as the meaning of his words dawned upon her. "I thought you... 'Dark Siders'... fed on fear. Why try to... console me?" she had picked up as much during the time she had spent as imprisoned by the Darksider of Roon. She paused for a bit, agitated and afraid of saying something that may cross her warden and cause him to kill her or, worse, activate her shock collar. Then she muttered, under her breath, "And if you really wanna console me, you could just let me go..."
For the next few moments, there was silence. The Nagai's chest rose and fell as he immersed himself into the Void, and Callé eventually gave up hope for an answer. She had turned around to leave, before his voice stopped her in her tracks.
"In this world, there are the strong, and the weak. Your weakness has enslaved you to my power, therefore, you must either serve me or die," Satotai spoke, opening his jade green eyes, a faraway look in them as he peered into the Force. "However, the strength of the strong is the refuge of the weak. As long as you are loyal to me, I will protect you, and you will never want for anything, except the freedom that you crave."
Half-turned, Callé stared at his back, processing his words. Turning around fully to face his back, she spoke. "Why didn't you kill me, when you were so close to doing so? Why spare me?"
Satotai's expressionless visage was crossed by a frown, though his gaze retained its lost look.
"Because you had the same scar I did," he closed his eyes, remembering and she only continued to stare at him, perplexed but intrigued. "I was born in the bottom of a pit..."

"... where no light shown..."
Fear crippled the Child as he witnessed the Murderer blasting a hole through his father's chest a mere moment after it had done the same to his mother. He trembled as his green eyes found the Murderer's gleeful expression, running through his entire system like a jolt of bloodthirsty electricity. Emotions, overwhelming yet inexpressible, coursed through his very veins, boiling them from the inside.
"... as if pressed together by darkness, uncertain of what to become..."
Intense, overwhelming grief punctured a hole in the green-eyed, white-skinned Child's chest as his gaze came back to the dead faces of his mother and father, forever locked in an expression of panic and fright. The grief was so powerful that it did the work of Alchemy; transmuting his paralyzing fear into an ethereal rage which clouded the Child's mind... - brilliant emerald eyes momentarily flashed gold before turning green again, tears streaking down the Child's cheeks, staining his naturally bleached skin.
"... born under those dark, dark sediments. There was nothing to me, except that..."
The Child had screamed into the Void, forcing it answer, to yield to his command, to grant him power. Darkness, the companion of Light, like twin flames intertwined... decay, the outcome of growth; death, the goal of life; winter, the blanket of summer; shade, the product of starlight. He didn't know it then, but that day, for the first time...
"...the Force had freed me."

Satotai did not speak anymore, and Callé merely stood there for the next several minutes, thinking. Then, she took a few, daring steps towards him, before crouching down and sitting beside him as he continued to meditate in the dead silence that followed.
