Unit 422 is a Human Repilica Droid (HRD for shorters), developed by LeisureMech Enterprises a few years after the rise of the Galatic Empire. Initially being developed as a prototype for a versatil droid, capable of adapting to suit the task at hand, putting the mission above everything else. A droid being capable of acting as a protocol droid, or a utility droid, even a battle droid if necessary! But it was a flawed project since it proved to not be as good in a functionas a droid designed fort it, due to the lack of especifications in hardware, aside from the company stepping down on the project. The HRD were a financial disaster due to costumers not taking well to the replicas, after it LeisureMech sold the droids to various groups within the galaxy, be it resistance groups, local goverment or the black market, while being a failure in the open market, in the black market the HRD's were a success, especially Unit 422, being sold to a unknown corporation that prefers to be referred as the "employers". Being tasked with spying on other corporations and assassinating competitors, being repurposed as an assassin droid, being given the assassin protocol and equiped with built-in weapons. Less than a year before the fall of the Empire, it went to trace a target at Kashyyyk, but was interrupted and almost terminated by a force user.

Just someone with a fascination for Droids, Unit 422 has a name but i prefer to refer to her as a unit for now, since it doesn't matter to her. She does have a personality but thats her "communication protocol" and for now she only turns it on when acting like a droid isn't suitable. In the future she is going to get a few upgrades as the story will go along. Archieving humanity won't be her main goal, she will eventually get curious about organics feelings and display an interest in the force, due to not finding logical conclusions to describe it, it all depends on the type of characters that she is going to get into contact with, for now she is just a pragmatic droid with a mission, i have already set up a starter thread so if anyone wants to hop in feel free to do it so.

In the future i might need another employer for her, since her current ones are out of reach. If anyone feels like their character are needing an assassin droid or just someone to look after their ship, look no further. Oh, and about factions... not sure. Yet.

Ohh!!!! I actually pitched the idea of one of our earlier droid characters hanging out with me on my ships and being my sidekick. I'm glad you said that, because that really speaks to me.
