By the looks of it, I'm one of the new guys! Figured I'd bite the bullet and be the first to stick an introductory thread down here since the quickstart guide told me to. Sorry if I've somehow managed to stick this in the wrong place, and admittedly I'm not sure what to say about myself. While I don't have too much experience with forum roleplaying, I do have a relative amount with general roleplay: in mmos, tabletop and the like. Especially Star Wars, although if I wasn't an unhealthily big fan I suppose I wouldn't be here. So I hope I can provide some creativity and a good attitude toward it all.

That being mentioned, I'm curious about what kind of characters are 'lacking' within the SithLore roleplay and such? I say this having not looked over too much of the site yet saved the timeline. While I do have a fledgling idea for the character I'm thinking of going with, I like to try and bring something fresh rather than adding a character into the mix whose concept is too similar to others.

Howdy and welcome to SithLore! Always good to see new faces aroud here. Your fortunately and unfortunately jumping in a time of transition between boards, so things are in sort of a rebuilding stage but do not fear, we are a highly active and welcoming community.

Oh right introductions, you can call me Rev, it's just my little nickname around here, I'm a local trouble maker and all around friend to all. I'd recommend going with what ever idea you've been working up, people generally enjoy their time here more if they're playing something they really want to play. But since you did ask what we are lacking, we lack general good guys, Galactic Alliance has our lowest population, while Imps and Pirates seems to control the player market right now, with the Sith not far behind. So if you feel your character concept is already along the lines of a good guy, Great! If not, no worries.

Well, that's my little speal, I'm sure some other players will be along shortly to welcome you. I look forward to seeing your character in action and getting my chance to RP with you. Oh and yes, your posting in the right place.

To correct Rev just a bit the Galactic Alliance is not the worst off any more with members I'm proud to brag now. But like he said it often most enjoyable for each of us to play the character that we feel calls out to us. No need to worry about who needs the numbers or any of that.

Best advice we can give is to take your time and pick out the kind of character you would find most enjoyable and run with no matter where that leads. I started out independent of all the factions and now I'm here running the Galactic Alliance and Jedi Coalition, or current versions of the rebellion/New Republic and Jedi.

Just go with what you feel is going to keep you coming back for more. If you have any questions and concerns by all means ask away that's what this introduction thread is for among other similar things.

Like Corran said, you are joining during a period of transition between two boards, but we are indeed a very active and friendly board. Again, to reiterate what Rev said, go with whatever you feel like doing. And know that you are not stuck with a faction if you join one forever after your initial ten day rp trial. I started off as a Sith, but my Arruna is now part of the Blue Star Pirates.

She's an escaped Twi'Lek , force sensitive, slave that wants to smite anyone and anything affiliated with slavery from existence. That and she doesn't trust government institutions at all. A bit of an anarchist in that regard, I reckon!

I'm Ani, full character name Annan Anakin Rainwalker, a Jedi Padawan who may become a Knight in less than two months' time now, and may possibly also join the Alliance Navy soon. Building droids, modifying ships, piloting freighters, making ROTJSkywalker-black uniforms/robes look good, and deflecting blasterbolts with my awesome mintgreen lightsaber is my specialty. My sig basically introduces the gist of my character rather well.

Hi and welcome, I'd say the Alliance or empire needs some blood. Just my view, by the way your character has the last name of one of our vets who's not been on in a while, Xavius Bain. It's cool just letting you know.

Good to have some new blood around, I can only advise you to create a character you truly feel connected to and let the story you create here with the rest of us take you on a journey to The Force only knows.

Welcome to SithLore! I think most people have already been all over this, but PLAY what makes you HAPPY! This is a one character roleplay, so make something you will enjoy, rather than something just to fit the boards "needs". Really, since there isn't a whole lot of large scale competition, 'need' is a subjective term. So do what you think you'd love most... plus- you've got 10 days to get your character out there, test the waters here to see what you think you'd like. Also, as always, plans can change when you follow the waters of fluid character progression. My character started as an imperial kid who was licensed with the bounty hunter guild as totally green. When deciding to try his hand in the imperial military recruitment offices, he was intercepted by a sith, and that was all she wrote!

Though as a sith, I am biased to tell you to join us heh heh heh...
