"In truth, 'Mr. Vassyl' would probably be a bit more appropriate", the Captain began as he fished a concealed scout's sidearm from the inner lining of his tunic, "But given the circumstances 'Doren' will save time best spent elsewhere". Vassyl gingerly offered the micropistol to his would-be accomplice, and hastily continued, "The trigger is touch-activated, so be careful when you handle it". No sooner had Doren finished his instructions did the panicked whoops of burning aggressors fill the air. It seemed Commander Carbine had little patience for this firefight, and elected to take a more expedient, albeit violent route.
All the same, Doren wasn't about to look a gift Gundark in the mouth. Depressing the power switch on a mobile shield generator clipped to his belt, the Captain flailed an imperative hand up into the air, signaling his own personnel to fall back. Keeping a gloved finger clasped onto his projector unit, Vassyl took another step out into the enemy's line of sight, his back turned to the now-armed youth. Vassyl then hollered much more loudly at Cylli, making sure he would be heard over the cacophony that lay ahead of them, "Go on ahead with the Commander, I shall regroup with you shortly".

Re: A Confusing Development
Grumbling slightly, Cylli set off to the Commander, whose comrades were torching the opposers with what looked like flamethrowers. "Yeah, hand me a blaster and tell me to go away, because apparently , since I asked for one, I'm better off with the violent Commander." She ducked again as someone shot at her, thinking her an easy target.
"I'm walking, okay!" she shouted at her attacker, spreading her hands in exasperation. Finally she reached the Commander. "Vassyl told me to go on ahead with you," Cylli said with a slightly angry tone.

Rhoden cursed under his breath as he shot another rebel. He was here to keep people from getting killed, but toting around a girl wasn't what he'd had in mind somehow. "Pyrs, Kein, Raya, move ahead of the group and clear any hostiles." Rhoden said, "Sopol, Barsh, follow behind and scorch anything they miss or can't handle. Everyone else form up." Rhoden turned to the girl, "You, try not to get shot or lost." Rhoden said, pushing her in front of Jorvan and himself.
"Get us back to the freighter, shut off this damned jamming, and call in some more troops." Rhoden said, mostly to himself, glancing at the girl he added "And get the civilian out of our hair and to safety."

Re: A Confusing Development
"Someone's in a mood," Cylli said under her breath. "Is he always like this?"
OOC: Ok, that was a really short post but I can't control other people's characters and they kind of dictate what I do right now, so a little help maybe?

Re: A Confusing Development
The group made it back to the YT-2000 with minimal difficulties, boarding it Rhoden met the pilot. "We've located the origin of the jamming signal, sir. We didn't want to move in the event of your return." Rhoden raised a hand, cutting off any further comments "Very good, get us in the air, destroy the source, then get us to the far landing zone." Rhoden said, indicating another landing site nearer to where the Captain would hopefully be. The pilot nodded and headed back to the cockpit.
Several moments later the freighter lifted off, not even bothering to alter course towards the jamming source the turrets fired several times, there was a flash and one of the command towers depressurized. Rhoden immediately was on the comm, "Commander Carbine to Hydra" he said "Launch fighters, and have Stormtroopers meet us at Landing Zone 3." he said. Then, switching to the Captain's frequency Rhoden spoke once more, as the YT settled down at Landing Zone 3 "Captain, currently at Landing Zone 3, Stormtrooper reinforcements en route. We'll clear the hostiles, you get the civilians."
Rhoden walked down the ramp as two assault transports landed smoothly next to the freighter and twenty Stormtroopers disembarked. "Now, Ms. Cylli. You're more than welcome to come with us so long as you stay out of our way. Personally I would suggest you stay here where survival is more likely." he said, not sounding as though he really cared either way. Rhoden looked down to see her holding a small holdout blaster, lip curling he said "If you do come, I suggest you grab something--ah--more substantial from the ship first."

Re: A Confusing Development
Vassyl shot an incredulous glance back at the fuming girl as she meandered her way towards his allies. Despite having obliged her request, Cylli's sudden shift in temperament rattled Doren's preconceptions of the woman, more so than the flames and pulse rounds whizzing about his person. Of all the many facets of combat, it was the human element that always proved the most opaque, and frustratingly indecipherable. Another cry of anguish from nearby sent the Captain soaring back to reality. Ceasing his meditations, Vassyl unloaded another clip of cover fire on behalf of his comrades before bolting back along his original route. Several more stalwart troops that had held out the longest sprinted after their commanding officer, taking care to jog in step with their less athletic overseer.
Now some five Imperials strong, the party weaved their wave past flickering equipment and derelict ore containers. Nearing the top of a large flight of stairs, Doren halted his posse just below the top step, as the chattering of some alien tongue floated through the air. Silently, Vassyl ordered his peers to hold their positions, as they patiently stood by for any new developments. Moments trickled into minutes, and after an agonizing wait a scuffling noise was perceived growing fainter and fainter over time. Cautiously peeping his head over the foot of the stairwell, the Captain was met with the relieving view of an empty lobby. Wasting no time, Vassyl and company shuffled snuggly into a lift that took them up to the surface-level landing strip.
With a hiss, a set of blast doors receded and revealed the unaltered hull of the Sentinel-Class Shuttle Dominator . Doren was quickly approaching its familiar exterior when the Commander's timely message came garbling through an open transmitter. Borrowing a set of microbinoculars from a giving companion, the Captain scanned the rocky outcropping surrounding the landing pads until he zeroed in on the shadowy frame of the Inferno's transport. "I've got eyes on you from pad one Commander", Doren began, whilst simultaneously examining a nearby console, "there appears to be a service bridge that should link our two positions". After a pause and some innocent fiddling with the interface, the Captain succeeding in extending a modest walkway between the two landing zones that overlooked the earthen ground down below. "That should do it: ready to receive any and all non-combatants", Vassyl cooed, fairly pleased with what was truly a rare piece of good fortune.
