Bendeluum, Fighting Pits

Perhaps it was because she simply didn't know anything else but, Valera lived for the fight. In her mind, there was little that could complete with absolutely proving her dominance over others. To defeat another, be it with your own bare hands or even a weapon provided a rush unlike any other unless you counted the actual act of snuffing out their life. Ever since she'd been a small child, she'd been forced to kill or be killed and in time she had come to love it. Today was no different.

She had been tossed in to the pits as a small girl, simply a bit of extra entertainment before the real fights. But she'd managed to kill the loth wolf, her potential had been recognized and she had been trained. Now a skilled martial artist and capable of wielding a great variety of weapons, Valera had become warrior in her own right. For years the young lethan Twi'lek had been carted about the galaxy to compete in gladiatorial competitions and she had yet to lose. And she wasn't about to start. The Trandoshan beneath her had put up a good fight but in the end, he too had failed to overcome the young slave girl from Ryloth.

Perched on his scaly back, her long muscular legs pinned his arms as she pulled back on his head. It howled in pain, fist slamming the ground before him as he attempted to tap out. Valera paused for a moment as she looked up to her master, but a small shake of his head saw her redoubling her efforts. And before long the sickening sound of joints popping and sinew tearing could be heard among the cheers of the various onlookers. Standing back up, she held up most of her opponent's head, the jaw still attached to the rest of the body. Lowering it, she took a bite from the meaty bit at the base of the skull. Her cannibalism had begun as a simple gimmick, something else to make her more memorable and draw larger crowds. But she had developed a true taste for the flesh of humans and other sentient beings over the years. Of course there were other parts besides the neck that tasted better, but showmanship was the goal here. Dropping what was left of the Trandoshan's head, Valera exited the coliseum to the sound of a bloodthristy crowd.

Back in her cell, Valera received an approving nod and some further instructions from her master. Apparently there was someone there to see her. Every so often someone approached her master about purchasing his prized fighter. Other times, they were after something else. Valera had no true feelings on the matter. Her job was to fight, she knew nothing else. Standing, she prepared to submit to an inspection, the exact nature of which remained to be seen. For the right price, everything was for sale. And beneath the gore and grime, the statuesque Twi'lek really was attractive. A breathtakingly beautiful face with a pair of vivid violet eyes and a set of full pouty bloodstained lips. Tall and athletic with an impressive musculature, she was still quite feminine with a perfect round ass, narrow waist and full perky bust.

Her lekku twitched impatiently as she waited for the newcomer to appear.

He watched with seemingly apathetic golden eyes.
He had heard of this woman, this vile Twi'lek who not only shredded and destroyed those she had touched, but devoured pieces of like that of an actual beast. She enjoyed the carnage she wrought, and as her own added taste of pleasure, she took teeth to the still twitching corpse. That Transdoshan was given a brutal finality.

The crowd rose to cheer for her, various grunts and shouts, screams and snarls heating the air in a furious and passionate end to the bloodlust-filled fury display that just was brought to a close. As the others stood, so did he, but there was no celebration in his eyes. That girl down there had reflexes, extreme ones. Her speed was remarkable, her finesse prime and almost liquid. She was both inherently graceful by blood and brutal in her quest for blood.

Squeezing through the crowds and such, he pushed through the humanoids and other organics. Several lowered their head to him, knowing exactly who he was. Their Lord, obviously. Once main notice had come across his way, the handsome 6"4' tall chiseled human man who not only was draped in a deeper black than most, but on the undersides of his wrists, both dragon bone handle sabers hung attached to the bracer mechanisms he had attached, he walked through the crowd as if he hadn't noticed the admiration or even jealous whispers. The activation buttons, a crisp burgundy, both glowed underneath the flats of his muscled forearms, giving illusion to some beast lurking under and within the darkness made beneath his cape, flowing behind him as if it had a life of it's own. His head had it's own cape, inky onyx mane of black curtains long enough to rest past his shoulders and between the girth of their blades.

More and more beings out of his way as more notice came to him. And not too long afterwards, he stood before the owner of this cruel temptress.

"I want her," he said simply, silken baritones riveting despite their lack of extreme context.

Would the Master be wiling to pay the price Lord Blood would request? Or would he fatally take the payment Lord Blood was willing to deal him?

The Muun was nothing if not a businessman. Financial dealings were of the utmost importance and a serious buyer was always welcome. Of course he didn't plan on being taken for a ride either. One look at the man before him with his sharp golden eyes told him that he wasn't dealing with a normal man, but a Sith by his best estimate. On a planet like Bendeluum, his status certainly held weight but the rules still needed to be observed.

"She is not cheap," he replied. Valera was one of the top earning gladiators on the circuit and she also had other uses... "But I'm sure someone of your stature can afford to pay fair market value," he added graciously. "I would certainly be sad to see her go, but I might be convinced to part with her for say, fifty thousand credits?" It was a steep price, especially for a gladiator but she was no common fighter. Even the Muun could tell she was special. "Why don't you come here and let the man get a closer look," he said, addressing his slave. It was phrased as a question but she moved to comply quickly. It had been a while since any disciplinary actions were taken against her, but she still remembered the cost of disobedience.

Stepping forward, the statuesque Twi'lek stood tall and proud before the Sith Lord, brilliant violet eyes forward as she waited for instructions. A demonstration would likely be unnecessary as she assumed that the yellow eyed man had seen her most recent bout. Still covered in blood, she cut an impressive sight. Despite her outward confidence, there was much fear within the slave and it was unlikely that her prospective buyer hadn't noticed. She was treated well for a gladiator and while her life was not without its hardships, she knew things could be far worse. Still, she was curious and couldn't help but wonder what a change in ownership might mean for her?

Warvanus was dressed in simple pants and tunic both jet black his hair in a ponytail no cloak concealing his face. His lightsaber dangled at his side. He had felt drawn to this place, much like he had been drawn to Crait before, He had seated himself not far from Lord Blood whose presence alone verified what he had suspected. He had watched the Twi’lek and for one who was rarely impressed, found himself very impressed with this woman. Her movements were like music, in the symphony that was the battle. The battle was over and he could feel the Force prodding its approval. Warvanus had risen from his seat and went to join Lord Blood

β€œI want her” he had told the owner and the price to Warvanus was a bargin, she would make a formidable sith warrior if she were to join and furthermore survive training.

When the woman stepped forward, Warvanus circled her examining appraising her even. He looked at Lord Blood. He could see greatness in her, to the scale of making a gravitic shift in the events of the galaxy. He gave a very subtle nod to him and wondered if he saw what Warvanus saw in the potential new recruit.

He asked the woman directly β€œWhat’s your fighting record?” he would guess it was perfect many did not survive in the fighting pits if they lost. Whether by their opponent or their owner.

"But I'm sure someone of your stature can afford to pay fair market value,"

While the man was right, he was also wrong. There was no price the Sith couldn't pay, but the man wasn't realizing how very few times the Sith actually had patience to pay anything. Blood was one of those very men. He was quite a businessman, and he had made an oath to himself to never conduct business on Sith territory. This was not Sith territory, so he was in full right to remain cordial on this deal. But 50 thousand credits for a life? This was madness. While it was fair, he found it asinine to pay so much for someone so invaluable. This Twi'lek, however, the owner more than likely had not realized, was a Force Sensitive. There was no other way a mortal could predict such moves from that Transdoshan other than if the Force had warned her of such ahead of time and that was by mere milliseconds.

"M'tye buti Varsake kia akuyi," the Sith Lord had leaned over and murmured to Warvanus, both his partner for the Sith and his own pupil. He knew Warvanus was a practical man who saw things for their use, but while Blood knew he wouldn't see the Twi'lek for that indescribable physical attraction, the Sith Lord knew War would be immensely heated for how the woman portrayed her instinctual grace through her skill in combat.

Turning back to the businessman, Blood slid his response with lessening enthusiasm. Those baritones held strong with immovable determination.

"I'll set it to 10k along with you being able to walk out of this, alive."

Whether the man took this deal or not was less than half of Blood's concern. The Sith owned entire planets of slaves, all working into endless standard hours; one more to the fray. But making negotiations for one was almost insulting to Blood. He was surprised he hadn't went back to back with Warvanus and began killing off everyone there in his indignation. This was his definiton of 'civil', however, and this man would either take it, or leave it.

Warvanus nodded at Lord Blood’s words and replied β€œViekis su akuyi, anas kodel m'tye zo gekazerje massassi” he studied the owner, and his associates. If Warvanus was of higher rank in the Empire he would have taken this Twilek as his own apprentice as he viewed her as someone who was cut from the same cloth as he was but it was not to be. Of course that did not mean he could not help her learn he just could not teach. Though he was working towards that end. He mentally shook the thought off and thought how easy it would be just to take what they came for.

He leaned towards Blood β€œMes sekleti zudyti jis ir buti dary su zhol tym buti voy j'us” He was ready all he had to do was give the word and he would let the battle lust take over him like a long lost lover reunited.

He brought his attention back to the Twilek. She would be a great addition to the Sith he thought to himself. Question is, if it got violent would she fight with the Sith or try to fight against. He was tempted to find that out but he would not act without Lord Blood’s go ahead.

"Undefeated in well over four hundred fights," he lied smoothly, answer for the slave. In reality it was but three hundred and ninety four, but she had yet to lose nonetheless. "I assure you there has not been a stronger fighter on the circuit for years." The corners of his mouth turned down in a frown at the Sith's counter offer. It was insulting, but it was business.

While he could not understand the language the other two men conversed in, he was more than capable of picking up the hostile intent behind the tone of voice. He was also quite aware that he was outmatched in this situation. Ten thousand credits was well below what he might get from any of the other slavers currently on Bendeluum. Of course none of them were so bold as to threaten his life. Unfortunately for him, the Sith before him were quite willing to do so and more than capable of following through.

Despite his best intentions, the Muun had indeed been taken. Sometimes a loss was just a loss and you had to know when to get out. "I'm sure you can see that you've got me at a disadvantage," he replied silkily, pausing for a moment. "Very well, ten thousand credits and the assurance of my continued longevity," he finally said, extending his hand towards the one who'd made the offer. It was a shame to lose such a high earner but Valera had already made him a rich man. And to lose one's life was the worst business of all. Once his credits were in hand, he took his leave and allowed her new owner to inspect his purchase.

Meanwhile, Valera had remained silent throughout the interaction. She'd been a slave for well over a decade and was wise enough not to speak out of turn. Especially to men like the ones before her. Like in many of her fights, she could feel them and it was unlike anything she'd ever experience before. It was still quite vague and more or less unintelligible but she could feel them and they made her skin crawl.

Blood listened to Warvanus, his own opinion being concluded with the Sith Lord's. It was true; they could simply rid the galaxy of this man and be done with it. But killing the peasant was less than enjoyable for someone who saw the people below them. If they were below him, they posed no threat. It was a simple concept, and it saved much of the time he had less and less of, these days. Pointless it would have been to kill the Slave's Master, just as pointless as it was to crush an ant. And unless that ant had venom that could kill him, or posed some reasonable level of threat. he wouldn't rob it of the Force. That very Force was his fuel, as it was everyone else's; why dilute your own power?

Blood gave a minute, almost imperceptible shake of his head as the Master submitted. The man had admitted his losses, and offered his hand which received the black velvet sack Blood placed in that weathered hand of his. Within it, credsticks that amounted to 15k, the extra 5k being slipped in as Blood handed it over for the man simply complying. After the man had left, Blood turned to the Twi'lek, his Force running a curious hand through her mind, simply picking across the currents and signals.
It was confirmed; she was a Hopeful.

"What is your calling?" he asked the twi'lek.

Warvanus stayed his hand. It itched to kill, lusted for it. He had to remember that both
Lord Blood and himself operated differently but that did not mean they clashed. He was sure his reasoning was sound and even the tennats of Darth Bane was you killed only when need to and not for the sake of it. He reasoned that this was the best but the lust for action sometimes threatened to overtake his reasoning.

When the man left with his money he still studied the Twilek. He could sense the Force in her, like a raw current, untamed. He knew most men would lust after such a woman. To Warvanus she was an artist with a blade and with training she would be a very destructive weapon, much like him. He did not say anything; he let Lord Blood do the talking. He was an apprentice after-all.

For Valera, killing was a means of survival. There was sport to it, showmanship, but it wasn't for her own enjoyment. At least not in the beginning. Through time she had come to relish the act, took some amount of pleasure in it, but to her it was ultimately a way of life. To fall short was not am option, it had been kill or be killed.

The statuesque Twi'lek twitched at the intrusion but did her best to still herself as her new master dug into her. At the time she didn't exactly understand what was going on but she knew it was the one she would come to know as Lord Blood.

Finally she was addressed, and by her new master. She wasn't quite sure how to reply. She was a slave, it was all she had known for well over a decade. "I exist to serve, master," she replied stoically. "What would you have me do?" Of course she had her own ambitions. For so long she had lived in fear, her own and eventually that of her opponents. And she didn't ever want to go back to being the one who was afraid. Unfortunately for her, something told her that a confrontation with either of the men before her would not result in a battle of fists and wasn't likely to end in her favor.
