Unit 422 reporting for duty

Upon powering its vision, the replica droid spotted a Rodian repairing its lower half of the body that was detached from the rest, seemingly by a high heated weapon due to some pieces of metal and a few cables appearing to have been melted down, the synthskyn appeared to have burned down on the damaged spots. Multiple blaster fire? Possible, but some of it appear to be a clean cut, too precise to be consecutive blaster fire, maybe a laser device or a lightsaber. Annotations made to check the mission log for that detail later. The right arm was ripped off from the socket, leaving exposed the mechanical parts and cables that were attached to it. As the Rodian noticed that the droid was aware of its surroundings, he started speaking but it took a few seconds until its hearing sensors kicked off. As soon as it started it could sense some sort of music coming from another room and a occasional explosion or blaster fire. Is it still in danger?

-Ah, i see you're finally awake! Don't try to move, i still gotta fix you into shape. Quite a load of damage you took, pissed off a Wookie or somethin'?- The Rodian asked, not displaying any concern for the noise coming from the other side of the door.

-Unlikely. A bow caster wouldn't cut a unit on half with such precision. This unit's data bank is currently accessing the mission log to identify the cause of the heavy damage, and why the self destruct protocols didn't activate.- Upon furter analysis it couldn't find any reference to the Rodian in the logs, and definetely not this place. - Inquiry. This unit doesn't have any information on its data bank about you, mechanic. Nor does it have any information about its current location, is it still in Kashyyyk?

-It? Unit? Oh, you're not programmed to fake humanoid expressions like the other HDR? Maybe an prototype? No matter.
I found you while i was hiding at Kashyyyk a year ago, half of the synthskin on your face was gone and the only thing still untouched was the memory core, i couldn't access it nor i had the time for a memory wipe. I first wanted to repare you to be a security guard, but you appeared to be too dangerous so i removed your weapons, even though i didn't want to risk activating or fully repairing a murder android so i just kept you as an last resource. We're on Centares now.

The android just kept staring at the Rodian in front of it, trying to process why he sounded so calm about this situation, aren't organic beings supposed to be full of emotion? If its an emergency it explains the blaster sounds outside, but why he is so calm about it? Its obvious that he isn't a simple mechanic, he must work for someone, mentioning the memory wipe sort of triggered its sensors of danger, if he tries to do something that would interrupt its mission, he would be properly terminated. However, his knowledge on droids appear to be quite astounding, since he appears to have perfectly fixed the synthskin on its face, the main functions and is skillfully conecting the lower half with the rest of the metalic body.

-Possibility. This emergency you speak of is about the fighting outside? If so, warning, this unit requires its weapons to be capable of warfare. Inquiry. This Unit requires to know why it must deal with this emergency, and what happens to this unit after it.

-Ah, a pragmatistic, a assassin droid it is! Now i know why your data bank is so hard to crack, alright, here's the deal!
I can't fully repair you, i don't have the synthskin required to aply to the detached areas and i don't have the materials to replace some damaged components, do that for me and you get to keep all the weapons you'd get from those bandits, aside from a few credits to book a ship to your destination.

The droid takes a few seconds to proccess the information and to come up with the most logical choice avaiable while the Rodian finished up reparing its arms. He seems to be waiting for a response before finishing up his repairs. Unit 422's self repair system was completely damaged and it means that it can't do it repairs itself, aside from being stranded on a planet that isn't listed on its mission log. If the Rodian information is to be trusted, it has been at least a while since the droid was almost terminated, it needs to get back on the mission and update itself as soon as possible and the fastest route would be to play ball until he gives it what it wants, he won't be any use to it dead.

-Warning. This unit still requires a weapon to be able to proceed with this newfound deal.

The Rodian still displays no emotion, like it already had played out in his mind, he grabs his blaster pisol that was tied to his leg and finishes up attaching the arm, puting the blaster on it. -Good, now go out there before they destroy all my defense protocols, my poor droids that i've worked so hard to fix... damn pirates! Oh and yes, don't forget to put your clothes on, they will help you hide your mechanical parts, aside fom keeping your innards... in!

The droid seriously considered simply leaving the Rodian when it received just a blaster, where is the wrist mounted rockets? Normally it would ask for information before heading out to face an unknown foe but this isn't under normal circunstances, the Rodian might be able to explain what happened in detail and keeping him alive might be worth it, for a while. It got dressed and made sure that the targeting systems were online before heading out. The unit's fighting power is significantly low at this state, less than 30% of its total fighting capability but it has to be enough to kill pirates, an assassin droid is good at killing, the circunstances only adds more challange to it. Upon stepping out of the room the unit saw a total of 13 heavily equiped mercenaries, with blaster rifles, grenades and even a Zabrak with a rotary blaster cannon gun, the others were Rodians. The droids were all scattered in the cantina, hiding behind counters and trying to hit something other than the ceiling, most of them were utility and protocol droids reporpused for a fight, most of them with just a blaster in the place of a hand and their programming also wasn't prepared to deal with the situation. After taking a complete look at its surroundings, it immediately took cover on a nearby collumn and memorized the locations of the hostiles and when it got out of cover, it made sure to headshot three rodians in a row but was quickly suppressed by the Zabrak before it could make anymore damage. If it had decent cover it could wait until the rotary cannon overheat to fire on its wielder, but the column doesn't seem do to be holding all that well, the Zabrak is ripping it to shreds.
OFF information:

This unit is a HDR, one of the early models to be made a few years after the birth of the Galatic Empire. It was developed by LeisureMech Enterprises and sold to the black market as an assassin droid, working for a unknow employer until it got heavily damashed on Kashyyyk a few years ago, the target was a non-force user, but she might have crossed some sort of dark jedi or sith at hiding during her mission.

The pirates are after the Rodian because they had a deal, they brought in stolen droids and they would pay him to repair them and later sell it to the black market, after a huge shipment he repaired them and immediately sold them, running away and keeping all the money to himself.

This is open to all.

[No Mister Patrias], Doren grumbled as he detached his leg from particularly sap-covered log, [I don’t think we’ll encounter a Mystinger, and frankly-]. The Captain stopped mid-sentence as he nearly lost his footing to a pernicious puddle, before he angrily concluded, [Frankly, I’m not interested in getting any closer to the local fauna then we already have]. After his previous visit to Kashyyyk, Captain Vassyl was already regretting this particular assignment. However, rather than a Sith Lord, today he was forced to contend with his snickering, more athletically inclined counterpart.

Normally, the Imperial Navy would have little to do with this sector outside of an all-out attack. That said, a curious, classified beacon had recently reactivated from deep within the bowels of the jungle world, the likes of which seemed ancient by modern coding standards. Not wanting to risk an older, but pliable piece of Imperial hardware to fall into enemy hands, the Third Fleet had immediately dispatched a reluctant Doren for the express purposes of retrieving- or destroying the device. Thankfully, after several hours of marching about venomous vines and beastly brambles, the small Imperial ground team was rapidly nearing their target.

[Sir], Orville Patrias announced over the commline, stifling back an errant chuckle, [The signal should be just over this hill]. Vassyl glumly lifted his gaze up at the mound of dirt that lay ahead, and sighed discontentedly. [Maintain comm silence from this point onward], Doren dryly ordered, [And watch your step, I don’t trust this clump of mud any more than I did the last three]. Without another word, Vassyl then took what he hoped would be a simple, uneventful climb.

"Enough! Enough!" Captain Kiv Klav shouted, as he gripped the shoulder of the Zabrak with the rotary cannon to signal to him that he must cease fire.

All weapons were directed at the smoking column where the deadliest combatant was last seen. The Rodian mercenaries that he had hired for this job still lay prone on the floor, smoldering craters in each of their heads. The captain let out a tsk as he thought on the credits he had wasted hiring them. Fortunately, though, if he got out of this situation alive, he could at least get his money back-- the Rodians wouldn't be needing the money hastily stashed in their pockets any longer.

To the armed droids and the deadly female that had joined the fight, Klav shouted, "Lay down your arms, you're overmatched. We just want to talk to the Rodian. No harm will come to him if you surrender now."

He murmured to the rest of his crew, "Watch for trouble..."

Raphael’s boots casually strutted around the city on Centares, taking in all of the hustle and bustle of a planet situated on a trade route. The young Sith hadn’t been among this world long, just enough time to set up a business interest meeting with local investors. Him and his fathers business were finally making the push out of Sith Space, into systems close by. They dealt in luxury items such as exotic animals, and sold them to the finest this galaxy had to offer.

This cycle of meeting with potential investors and setting up shop on nearby planets had become routine to the prodigal son. He spent far too much time making sure their business was flourishing than actually focusing on his own training. Though, soon that would end as this seemed to be the last destination for the time being.

A meeting was scheduled for within the hour at a local cantina, a simple meet and greet before the actual pitch from the Sith. He dressed down for this occasion, opting to wear a simple light armor set over his extravagant bone armor set so that he wouldn’t intimidate any investors. For the time being a cloak covered a knot of long black hair and the two vibroblades he had vertically aligned on his back. A sporting blaster was holstered on the left side of his hip.

Upon arrival at the local cantina, his silver eyes witnessed around a dozen armed men moving through the entrance. Raphael should of known by now that business never goes as planned. Commotion ensued as patrons around the cantina hastily moved away.

The Initiates interest was peaked but decided upon a stealth entrance to assess the situation. Boots moved faster now as he headed towards one of the back entrances of the cantina. A simple door on the side of the building flipped open and Raphael moved into a smaller back room.

Peering around the corner, Raphael got a good glimpse of the entire situation. A group of Rodians with a Zabrak managing a large weapon all aimed down their sights towards the droids scattered across the building. The Zabrak focused his fire on a column on the other side of where Raphael was. He could certainly make out what was behind it; a human like droid it seemed was covering from the fire. His interest was now greater as the leader of the group halted their attack on the droids. An interesting work of art that droid was, he wanted to know more about it immediately.

A hand went to reach for his blaster as the group announced their intentions for this showdown. Raphael waited patiently behind the wall as he watched the events unfold.

Rhoden marched through the back door of the cantina, followed by the rest of the Inferno Squad. They were following up on more recent intelligence concerning a search Captain Vassyl was currently assigned. Given no more urgent assignments Rhoden had taken an interest and taken the Hydra to investigate. Upon entering he heard the sounds of blasterfire and sped around a corner, followed by the rest of the squad. There was a group of people surrounding a door to what was presumably an office or storage area, as he watched several of them dropped dead. Rhoden caught a glimpse of a woman and raised his weapon, the rest of the squad following suit.

"Alright, drop the weapons." he said, his helmet modulating his voice. He knew the woman would be covered, but he wasn't overly concerned with her at the moment. He kept his gaze on the closer threat of the others. "Care to explain why we're shooting up the place?" he asked politely.

Zechs and Deeth walked into the cantina with their friends, a traveling Ewok juggling troop. Something seemed off. They couldn’t put their finger on it, but the unsavory and tactless Imperials show of force soiled their appetite for a drink. No one could get in an honest catina brawl anymore without someone calling the fuzz. What was next? No publicly making fun of the little kid on the throne?

The group slowly backed out the catina and decided it was best to go to the one across the street. Maybe the one next to it or the one two shacks over. There were plenty of options with at least one not having devolved into a blood sport. Drinking didn’t need to be hard, but the Empire always found a way to...

He hadn't heard word from his Son since he had confirmed the next meeting on the List. Marking them down one by one as The Silver made his motion, Blood sat in an unmarked private taxi ship sitting alone and empty in the terminal of the planet. He knew full enough how much his Son prided himself in completing tasks, and seeing how silent the comm had gone since the last confirmation, Blood furrowed a brow more and more as the minutes waddled by.

He felt something budding in his chest. It wasn't danger, no. He was undercover, as was his Son. Everything was cordial, unaffiliated with Sith happenings. What the hell would be this growing in his mind, then?

Suspicion.
But at what? For what? He knew Raphael knew full well how to take care of himself. Many tight squeezed he had found himself wrapped in, the Silver found a way to uncoil from the entirety of them all. He knew when it was best to rear his head back and strike; but he also knew when to slither away from it all. So what was this suspicion of?

It could have just been a paternal inkling left over from Slade's initial basic instinct. Raphael was his Son. Spawned from his own DNA. It was righteous to feel suspicious of danger looming anywhere near the Silver. But Blood also knew when it was needed. This wasn't territory of there's, so anything could happen.

"Raphael, what's your status." he called into the sleek holowatch on his wrist.
"𝒯𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒𝒻𝑜𝓇𝑒, 𝐼 𝒶𝓂."

The droid tried to analyse why the cannon suddenly stopped firing, maybe it overheated sooner than expected? No, its probably a bait to turn it into a beehive as soon as it got out of cover. The best course of action would slip a detonator in by the sides or make it bounce off the wall but unfortunately that good-for-nothing Rodian only equiped it with a pistol blaster. Second choice would be to hold position and wait for reinforcements but there is none in this case, even if a droid or two were spared from being blasted into pieces by now, they're mostly protocol droids with blasters glued to their hands, they're not even useful as shields.

>Powering personality protocol...
>Personality protocol activated!

It's personality protocol is a way to simulate human behaviour, the droid's logic system is temporaly overwritten to simulate human conscience and put on a facade. Unless they now that the Rodian has an HDR in his possession, in that case its useless to put on a facade but its worth a try anyway. However, before she has a chance to discover if her communication system is working as intended, a squad of "elite-looking" troopers decided to show up at the nick of the time, a sign of salvation or doom? The Empire can be both and their equipment is a good give-away. No way it can take on those troopers by itself, even if it did its best not to mess with the Empire. Her employers made sure to highlight the importance of not getting into the spotlight of such a war machine.

- I'm sorry... sir? - It wasn't "it" anymore, it was the personality protocol kicking in. It got out of the cover and droped its blaster, staring confused at the troopers, trying to find a way to recognize the leader's rank to appopriately refer to him. - Is it Officer? I'm Hazel, the Bounty Hunter, never heard of me?! - It is a bounty hunter in a way, but still, its a lie. They're pirates, she can use that against them.

- I was hired by a Rodian at the back of the estabilishment to protect him from those bandits. My client is a good mechanic, they captured him and forced him to work for them, he managed to escape but only had time to find a place to bunker and to hire my services. They found him and started shooting up the place and thats where i had to do my job. -

Said the droid, being objective like a professional bounty hunter would and at the same time throwing the blame all on the Pirates, if it could feel emotion, it would be delighted by the way it used the entire situation, even the mechanic to its favour. But it does have a risk, maybe the Rodian is also a known thug, maybe the pirate crew aren't known pirates, maybe the Empire might not buy it's lie. If they do buy it, it has screwed over the crew and gained the favour of the mechanic in the process. Or maybe doom them all. The reason to fake being a bounty hunter is because they have already witnessed her skills with a blaster, and great powers like the Galatic Empire may be inclined to be tolerant to freelancer contractors like bounty hunters.
Off Information:

While everyone was fighting, the Rodian was escaping through a hidden tunnel. As i have nothing more planned for him, if someone can/wants to catch him, feel free to do so.

Having worked up a moderate sweat, Doren drove his right leg up and over the main crest of the miserable hill, and paused to look up at the more athletically-tuned form of Major Patrias. The Orindan, ever-mindful of his superior's lankier disposition, had remained just below the mound's peak, amicably waiting for his companion to finish the hike. Anxiously, Vassyl dusted himself off as he stood alongside his counterpart, and stared intently down at the main scanner. Tarrying no further, the pair marched ever closer to the green dot on the tracking screen, until it shuddered suddenly, as if it had moved. [Is it mobile after all?], Doren whispered hoarsely, to which a seemingly affected Patrias' answered with an outstretched finger. Somewhat concerned, Doren's eyes traced the arc of the gesture, until he met with the gaze of a large, blue-grey mass sporting six legs, and a bulbous flat-head. Sticking out of its mouth, to Vassyl's shock and dismay, was a severed human arm.

[A Walluga], Vassyl offered weakly, to which Patrias nervously affirmed, [Aye Sir]. [I'd say it's noticed us], Doren continued. [I'd agree], the Major commented back, a hint of sarcasm lining the periphery of his voice. [Shall we reacquaint ourselves with that hill Mister Patrias?], the Captain inquired, shifting his stance as he did so, and garnering a predictable response, [Indeed!]. Without another word, the two men bolted back the way they came, as the towering creature released a carnal cry. Soon, the only sound to be heard was the deafening crash of flesh upon the earth, as the beast came trundling after the Imperials. [Its better-], the Major piped between breathes, [going downhill eh Sir?]. Doren moved to respond, but was nearly sent flying as one of the Walluga's appendages sundered a large stone at his rear. Awkwardly evading a miniature landslide, Vassyl yelped as smaller pebbles riddled his legs, before angrily spitting back, [Hardly!].

((OOC: I thought my guy was a bounty hunter who is pursuing the Rodian since Unit 422 said something about mercenaries in her first post. I see now that it's mercenaries and pirates interchangably. Let's just say that Klav hired a mixed bag to help him out and roll onward.))

Klav snorted at the idea of it, thumbing his belt in amusement, "If you're really a bounty hunter, princess, let's see your license. As for me..."

The rugged man unclipped a small plastic card from the front pocket of his vest and displayed it to those that had piled into the cantina. The badge clearly showed that Klav was a licensed member of the Bounty Hunters Guild, authorized to hunt and detain any officially posted bounties, and was authorized to kill, if the bounty allowed for it. The handheld holoprojector that Klav produced next stated the terms of the bounty for the Rodian, who was pictured, as well as the Rodian's associates.

"Now you'll see here that I was on my way to capture said Rodian, when she and the rest of these droids here opened fire," Klav said, gesturing to the droids and then the dead mercenaries that had accompanied him. "If we're done here, the Rodian is no doubt escaping justice due to the interruption."

Klav cocked his head and spat at the soulless droids. The Imperials could do as they pleased with them. If they had the nerve to tamper with his hunt, they could clean up the mess in the cantina for all he cared. Pointing to the female who had emerged from behind the cratered column, Klav directed, "Boys, slap some cuffs on the pretty one, and let's keep moving. She can tell us where that Rodian went."
