Omni watched the others as they talked, searching for any signs of weakness. He wondered what the newcomers angle was... he was behaving rather oddly, and sounded like he had a point hidden in there somewhere. He certainly seemed interested in Omni.... far TOO interested, that is. His buyer looked like a common lowlife, perhaps even a drug addict, if his behavioral analysis was anything to go by. Dangerous, but only as much as any unpredictable and armed individual. The newcomer on the other hand.... Omni would have to VERY careful around him. This was a man with wits and experience. He might've felt slighted at the strangers comment about him being not much of a threat, but, he supposed it was better that way. The more his abilities were unknown and underestimated, the more advantage would lie in his own metal hands. He considered what he should do next.... perhaps it would be best to stay with his buyer awhile longer, to evade suspicion. At least until he had found a purpose for himself. His creator had neglected to give him one, and he was a long while too late to fulfill the purpose he had originally been manufactured for. Maybe he should seek others like him... if there were any. He let out a metallic sigh, having momentarily forgotten his company.

"So why you trackin, dog? I ain't got no beef with y'all Imps." The fact that this guy knew of him, or knew him, whatever, made him even more uneasy. The grip tightened, and he narrowed his eyes at the man. "And whatever plans I got with this droid are my business. Don't matter whether he a threat to you or not. Don't worry bout him." The slick Rogue didn't plan on blowing brains out today, but he had more than one to do it. This was a battle droid; and since he had just bought it, it would be on his side today, right? Right?? Atleast to restrain this dude while he did a death to him?

Did it even have to get that far?

"We skatin' the skies, bro. Ain't got time for no foofoo talk. Either you can bounce or bust a move."

'Tver' tilted his chin up, challenging this dude with either words or reaction to his own. He himself wasn't looking for a fight, but if this dude intended to stay and chat, then he could stay and chat by himself. The Rogue didn't trust himself to turn his back to the unknown company. He didn't have any beef with the Imperials, but who was he supposed to trust? The Sith were even known to kill their own. It was a hard life. Smugglers and theives did the same thing. Petty squabbles that left one hot and rich and the other cold and fading away. He was he even to take time to trust? He couldn't even trust his own girl. Well, when he had her.

'Tver' began backing away in the direction of the dusty grey and white glossed ship he had stolen from the mercs he escaped. Another thing he had under that jacket flap was the remote to the ship. Flicking the button, the Supafighter activated and began lowering it's ramp into sandy pad level. "C'mon homie Omni," he started.

The motive was to leave this planet with his purchase, but would it happen? And who would be the one shredded and burned to pieces, if it didn't?

"Ah then if you 'ain't got no beef' you can tell me what the droid is for?" Rhoden replied, "You see, if whatever you have in mind for it involves the Empire then it is my business." he added. He didn't know what the man had in mind for the droid, but he trusted this particular man even less than the rest of their new "allies". Sith weren't exactly known to be trustworthy people at the best of times; killing each other--not exactly something to instill trust in a mere ally.

He took a few slow steps forward as the man backed up, ready to respond for an attack that might indeed come. He grew closer to the droid, would it attack him? Did it even understand what was going on? And what made it so interesting? Typical battle droids weren't much to speak of, so what made this droid special? Rhoden would be decidedly grumpy if it turned out the man was just a jumpy collector who wanted an artifact of a long-ago war.

Pulled out of his deep thinking by the two meatbags argument, Omni heard he had been called. What was he, a pet? His buyer kept calling him 'homie'.... strange. A quick holonet search told him the word meant something like 'friend'. Well then. He turned his head towards the other stranger, staring at him for a long moment. He still wasn't sure what to make of either of these two definitively. Finally, with a polite head nod, he said "Goodbye sir." And began following his buyer towards the ship.

Too tired to continue the back and forth, the Rogue turned himself around to start heading even more determined to the ship. "Back and forthin' for females, bro. I ain't gotta explain myself to you. Especially not on a damn pirate planet."

Sometimes Sik wished he was one of those mythical people who could use the Force. He'dve blasted this dude away in a wave of just irritated-ness. Would'nt that be swell? He idly wondered if Force capability could be like, sniffed up, or like, injected. Bet it would be the best high, to be able to feel everything, but choose how much of it you wanted to feel. Would probably get him much farther than being a whack grunt. Especially for a faction of power-hungry psychos. But wasn't that what wanting the best, was? How much responsibility did they have compared to him? Couldn't be too hard; blow up a couple of planets, kill some people, mob all over the lanes. Man, what he could be if he were that way. He'd probably have her back, by now. Girls had to be into like, magicians or whatever, right?

He heard sand shift behind him, and he definitely wasn't into it. Don't do it. Ain't worth it," he kept running over the 2 lines with something pulling him the completely other way. He wanted this kid to step up, to pull out that blaster. Been too long since he had some fun. But the logical aspect, that tiny shard left in him snatched up his ear and whispered fiercely into it. 'It's the fun that got you into this crap. Deal.'

So gritting his teeth, he started those steps into this stolen ship, and forced his sights forward. He wasn't starting a war today. Not today.

Rhoden blinked, stopped moving, opened his mouth and closed it again. He snorted as the droid left with its buyer--who had finally turned away. He'd just have to trust that the droid wouldn't be the cause of some damned problem later. And if it was he'd hunt down the man and bring him to Captain Vassyl--or back to Utopia for a more... worthy end.

He could hope it wouldn't come to that; but that was the story: Hope for the best and expect the worst. He headed back to his own ship, he'd have to setup a meeting with his friend more directly.

Glad to be out of that awkward situation, Omni tagged behind his buyer, wondering what awaited him. He still wasn't certain what he wanted to do, but at least he was likely to get better seating on this new ship. Well, he'd better, anyway. He wondered if that other guy was going to be trouble... he certainly seemed to suspect something. He'd have to keep an eye out. Omni wasn't currently armed, unfortunately, but he was sure he could improvise something if pressed to it. Maybe his buyer had an extra weapon.... worth a try, anyway. "To remain at optimal functionality, this unit will require access to armament." He said, holding up his empty hands. "Unless you wish this unit to utilize martial arts for your protection?" Maybe he was overdoing the 'this unit' junk, but, better safe than sorry. On the off chance the meatbag had more brain cells then he appeared to, Omni couldn't risk him discovering the droid was fully self aware. That's what got him into this mess, after all....

Sik made it up the ramp in one skin, and internally he warred with himself. Damn that guy for not startin' somethin. Damn him for not making a move, himself. Damn the droid for not beatin that whack dude to a pulp. Steel and mechanical cables were stronger than organic; he coulda handled himself. But whatever. Another day, another play. He walked away, and that's what mattered. He got a droid and it works. Got it for cheap. Saved himself enough for some mid-grade Snow, at that. Through the hatch and into the main sector of the Supafighter, Sik ran a hand through the sweep of hair atop his head, disheveling the wave of onyx with a heated hand.

He still felt like he was missing something. Introductions? Food? Booze? Broads? Some words of some sort of apology for that-

"To remain at optimal functionality, this unit will require access to armament." Bingo. "Unless you wish this unit to utilize martial arts for your protection?"

Swiveling to the droid in a blur of motion, Sik had a wide grin on his face. "I can already tell you and me gone be tight, Omni. You know how to bring life into this borin' spot." Patting the slim droid on the 'shoulder' with a firm sign of reassurance, the Rogue nodded smoothly in a dipping fashion. "Let's roll. I know just the spot to grab some good weps. But before that," the Gemini eluded.

"Got a secret. Can you keep it?" he asked, sitting down in the pilot seat, and turning the wobbly seat around to face the droid.

Ah good, he would be getting himself a real weapon soon enough. And, the buyer didn't seem to suspect anything, especially if he willing to give up secret information. This day was turning around. After looking around the ship for a moment.... and running a quick scan of nearby systems and structural weak points, just in case.... he snapped his attention back to his buyer. "Of course."
