Crait's adventures

The day was burning hot and Noffiti was walking the small market. Everything was lively despite the scolding heat. And the black cape wasn't really helping her clothes stay dry she never left without it. She was sent by her parents to get something for dinner. Her eldest brother had been sent to go with her but one look at the speeders and he was gone.

She liked the speeders too, but she preferred to stay to her task. Some squishy alien was trying to sell her a necklace. She smiled and shook her head. She could understand him but couldn't speak his language without offending him in the worst ways on accident.

She had almost reached the vendor that sold meat when a shot rang out. Noffiti spun around and someone ran extremely close by her. She heard shouts of 'thief' and 'get him'. Before she knew what was truly happening her body raced after the man. He held something in his arm as he bolted.

She pulled out her blaster and tried to aim while running. The darkness surged upwards, but she forced it back down. Her blaster aimed down, at his foot. She fired once and missed. A second shot. Hit. He slowed down, but didn't stop just yet.

Thinking fast, Noffiti took a side alley and cut him off. She wrapped her arm around his neck and pressed the barrel into his temple. "Move one inch and your brains go everywhere." The darkness gripped her tightly this time, making it harder to shake. Her breathing became uneven and she debated with herself whether or not she would actually do it or not.

She really didn't want to because he was a living being, but the darkness yearned for her to do it. It promised to numb her to it all. She'd never know what happened. God. . .What was she supposed to do. . .? Now was not the time.

It was always hot wherever he went, and it was of no plan of his own. Fortunately, it was in a place that he didn't need to hide his affiliation here. Golden armor shimmered in the sun, while a purple, T-shaped visor reflecting all he saw, as the Mandalorian stood before a Rodian, his eyes narrowing beneath his helmet, the black cloak billowing with the hood down, in the smothering breeze.

"Yes, he'd be dressed like me, just not in gold... green and red," he said. The Rodian was less than helpful, he was about to say something else, when a shot went off, and his hands dropped to the twin T-shaped objects at his belt... until he heard someone calling for a thief... he moved fast, closing with the shooters first, lashing out with a foot once he closed the distance, his foot cracking into a shin, hand grabbing the blaster and ripped it free to toss it to the side.

"I'll deal with the thief... shooting is over kill, not sticking around for a rebuttal," he added, then he moved, swiftly.... a flash of fire erupting from his back to carry him over the crowds gathering there... then he heard more blaster fire.. with a sigh, he moved to land beside the shooter, meaning to slap the blaster downward if they didn't pull the weapon away, before he turned into a sideways pinwheel kick, meaning to close the gap between him and the thief, to either kick the man, or pop back up and grab for his chest.

"Never fire a blaster without intent to kill.. and thievery is not deserving of death," he told the figure, pausing as he looked at them, the stare lingered, before he turned to look toward the thief. "Calm yourself, breath deep..." he added, "Now, what did you take?" he asked. The Mandalorian was much shorter than most of his kind, at five foot ten, though the armor added at least four inches, and the twin T-shapes on his belt weren't standard weapons either. One was made of ornate silver metals, while the other was a combination of gold and black metals, and stone of all things. He was clearly not your standard Mandalorian.

OOC: I'm sorry but your post confused me. She had the thief at gunpoint. She's just fighting inside herself with the darkness.

He had received this lead much more urgently than he had most. He couldn't for the life of him figure out why this coordinate was so major- It was on an Alliance world. He was much more cautious this ride around than he had been for the past ones he had. For added intent, he had sent out signals to the rest of applicable Sith in the Order for their eyes on the coordinate as well. Last thing he needed was to get into a firefight and get caught up with no back up. If none showed, he would either foolishly go aboard the salty skin of the sandy planet and keep his face covered, or he would let go of the entire mission. It was one of retrieval, but Blood knew it wasn't worth his life.

The handsome and well armored Sith Lord continued his venture to the planet, his Infiltrator floating over the pale orb as Valkyr, his Cathar Sith War-cyborg sat in the pilots seat. The ship was cloaked, and running in SSS mode so he was virtually undetectable. His coms sat waiting for the return of other messages of confirmation from any of the other contacted Sith. He would give it a few more minutes before he made his mind up. Golden irises stared at the pale orb as it hovered just over the general vicinity of the planet. A clawed digit ran over the holowatch settings as he idly munched on a few ripe fruits and berries.

A few minutes, and only a few. He would have to be strategical about this, and that entailed him reading up on this planet. The Dragon Master hadn't the time to learn as he went from mission to mission, so this moment was as useful. Nothing was ever a proper grab and go. So with a crossed pair of legs, he relaxed on his comfortable seating arrangement and opened up every document on the web he could use to learn of Crait until he had either his timer stop, or his message answered.

Noffiti watched a man with a visor try and remove her blaster from her hand by slapping it away from her. She ducked, bringing the thief with her. "Stop or you're next!"

The darkness seemed to smile, despite it not even being a thing. It sent a shiver down her spine. She pressed the gun further into the man's temple. Her finger quivered on the trigger. The man cowered and begged for his life. His pleas landed on deaf ears. She could no longer hear anyone, or anything. The chatter from the market had long faded. All she heard was the darkness and the unevenness of her own breathing.

"I won't hesitate to shoot you if you interfere!" Noffiti stared the man down, barely hearing her own words as they spilled from her mouth. "I have to do good! I will be good. And this is how I'm going to prove it!" The darkness flared up again. NO!

Warvanus was piloting his star-fighter when the message came in. He glanced down at his instruments, a message was coming in. It was Lord Blood of all people. He flicked a switch and listened to the message, when it ended, he had the Navicomputer calculate a course to Crait. It was an alliance world this much he knew, he also knew it was a large sandbox like tatooine is, an enviornment that he was accustomed to. He would have to be stealthy about this. He activated one of the fake transponder IDs the ship now showed registered as Iron Kath

The Navicomputer came back with an ETA. He was not too far from this system, he flicked the comm. Switch to reply to Lord Blood’s message, he encrypted the transmission so only Lord Blood would get the message.

“I am not too far from that system, I am en-route now Milord, Kell out” he cut the transmission and as he did, he felt something in the Force, half premonition, half urging. Something was happening on this desert world and he had to be there, he did not know what or why. He pulled the lever and he was in hyperspace.

The Armor would have to remain on the ship, he was not a known Sith technically he was a Masterless apprentice but he knew that he was more. He had spent the trip in hyperspace preparing. He would use his former alias on this world. Lightsaber would need to be concealed he did not want to draw any unwanted attention. Afterall it would be their lives forfeited not his.

He didn’t know where to meet Lord Blood but if this was for the good of the Empire then he would work with the Sith Lord. If the very least he would back up his rival if it needed be. They were two pieces of the same puzzle. That puzzle being the Sith Empire. The beeping from the Navicomputer snapped him from his thoughts as Warvanus brought his focus back to the instruments in front of him.

He pulled back the throttle the starfighter returned to normal space, and began his approach to the planet Crait after sending his transponder and getting the ok to land, he began his approach to land.

Colt studied the girl for a long moment, watching her as she struggled internally... He stood there, and crossed his arms, whatever he was thinking was hidden beneath that Mandalorian visor as he stared at her.

"Do you think shooting that man will help you do good? Killing a man for merely stealing something, do you even know what he stole?" he asked. As he focused on her, he raised one hand. "The darkness within you that you battle can be an ally if you'd let it, but it seeks to overpower you here, so why don't you keep that blaster pointed at me, if you please," he added, focusing on the blaster a bit more fully. She had a deathgrip on it, he wouldn't be able to wrench it from her grasp without her getting a shot off into the head of the defenseless man. Instead, he focused on the battery pack which supplied it's ammunition. To see him stand there was to see a Mandalorian warrior, but few knew of his connection to the Force... or the intent of his powers.

He tapped into it now, trying to disengage the locking mechanism that held the pack to her gun, meaning to let it fall out, rendering the blaster useless. Then he flared brightly, as if meaning to cast out her shadows... the Force swirling around him then, flowing through him with greater ease, and seeking to cast out the dark encroaching in... if only to make his voice heard, for her demons were hers to fight.

"I can help you, if you'd let me-" he said, pausing... there was darkness all around, he could feel it... right before him, and encroaching from all sides. Here on this planet, owned by the Galactic Alliance... the Dark Side was growing. "I'm not your enemy, and neither is he," he said at last.

Noffiti debated his words. They were reasonable, she knew that, but the darkness whispered for her to do it. Tears ran down her cheeks. Her mind conflicted her heart and the darkness knew this. It knew.

She felt something in her blaster and knew her shot, if she did shoot, would have to come soon. Her thin body trembled. The force to keep the darkness away became almost physical. “I don’t need your help! I work alone!” Her words were broken but clear and loud.

Blood was met with the reply of a bit of an unexpected surprise. Warvanus, a polite but complete enigma of a being, being so far from Blood's own complete control, but near enough to taste his influence. Warvanus had much to learn before he became something Blood would satiate his thirst of deadly dominion upon. Blood wanted a challenge, and that was something that held him off from killing Warvanus- he wanted the prey to be suitable for such a dastardly slaughter. That was just something he could consider a proper Sith activity...Make someone as strong as you are, and kill them for the pleasure of the challenge. But he competed with his own taste, as his own indignation declared that as a waste of time. This was the complete loop Blood found himself wrapped within with the fellow Dark Sider. Regardless, their own interest both were on the fertility of the hunt, and the benefits they would reap of it. Simply because War had no pack, not a Master meant nothing on them forming a hunt together.

"Approach confirmed," he sent back to War. "Proceed to cord, and dock a mark or two off."

Blood commanded Valkyr to lower the ship as he began putting the rest of his armor on. Within the timeframe she had of lowering the invisible ship to the planet, he had finished putting the rest of his armor on and hovered a hand over the ramp release button. Last thing he needed was time being wasted. As they had came down, he saw ruckus happening in the little market they had set up, and strategically Valkyr had pointed the ship into a more tucked away portion of an open alley front. After the ship powered to rest, Blood had smacked the release button with his draconic gloved hand, and stepped from out of thin air, heading directly to the cord.

Warvanus was sure to come with him, meeting up with him at a different angle of the alley, and as Blood happened upon the beeping dot of his holowatch, he looked at the scene with more interest than he initially expected. A female, obviously a Force Sensitive by the combative scents and pressures in her aura energy, holding a blaster to the head of a meaningless peasant. And just before the pair, was a particular perfume in the Force that he had far too soon encountered again.

"What a treat...", his silken baritones called across the scene.

It seemed the girl was just on the tipping edge of that cliff, that one cliff he could show her not only how to fall from, but how to fly from, how to land from and how to land unhurt...He could sing this girl a song of a saint, but ultimately his silver tongue would taste like that of the liar that he was.

"There is no such thing as good, girl, other than that which fuels you to be powerful, he lilted out to her. His fist clenched at the word 'powerful', demonstrating the passion within the words he spoke to her. "You ignore the call, and only failure will befall you, your own lack of action will be what lands you into a writing cesspool of weakness. Pull that trigger, and rejoice in the ecstasy that follows."

Noffiti saw the new person approach. His prescense commanded the attention of the darkness within her. His words soothed it, told her they were correct. There was no good in the universe. Deep down she knew that all along. How had she not realized it sooner? What a fool!

Before her mind could fully react, Noffiti pulled the trigger. The blast instantly killed the man. His body slumped in her grip before her arm relaxed and he fell to the floor. She felt. . .nothing. And it felt amazing. Her mind was empty and nothing hurt.

Noffiti laughed. She laughed because she was finally seeing the truth. She laughed because the darkness had been right all along. She was it’s daughter and this was where she was meant to be.
