Derelict
Silent in the void of space- a large grayish dot comes into better view.
An oblong shape takes form from view as it gets closer- slowly drifting slightly off-kilter, listed to one side followed by a small halo of glittering debris, and surrounded by a blueish fog.
A ship... It appears to be several thousand years old- using tech that is rather outdated and frankly unseen in the modern galaxy. By the looks of it- it was meant for long exploration hauls- but heavily armed at the same time. How long it's been drifting is unknown, but the systems nearby have only recently received a distress ping from the craft. The first scout ship took a look- and got some strange readings- and sent word back to their home government.
Immediately, the Galactic Alliance intelligence were first notified- and due to the nature of the craft- The Jedi became involved. The news of the distress ping was massive- which means that the Blue Stars got their hands on the call. Imperial Naval Intelligence scraped the message as well- of whom the Sith gleaned info from with their agents.
The distress signal is choppy at best.. but the audible message is clear- the ship was originally of Jedi origin. Whatever the ship and crew's fate was, is left a mystery. There are signs of external damage, but not enough for it to have been left adrift the way it is.
The governments began a race to close off the ship from private sector salvage and scout teams- due to possible dangers... It's nearing time to send crews to investigate for themselves- Surely an exciting discovery for whoever gets to claim it.
---------
Tracking the blinking distress beacon- your crew enter the thin- wispy floating blue mists around the ship. Almost immediately- your systems begin beeping before sensors going completely dead. As the crew navigates further in- the mist begins clouding the pilot's view, and stars around are no longer able to be seen as reference points to the outside universe.... everyone can see flashes of blue light pop and explode as discharges from the ionized gas interacts with your ship's hull- claw-like fingers of lightning playing across the ship.
The blinking light of the distress beacon acting as something of a guide- grows ever closer. Looming ever larger, a growing orb- like a blinking giant's eye...
You break the mists- and get a decent view of the massive floating ship- Silvery plating with blue and orange accents. At least - what would be left of a paint job with accents- flaked and scraped away. The hull has some physical damage- though it doesn't seem to be what caused the ship to go disabled. Some carbon scoring from ship fire- yes. Though there is also damage from colliding with asteroids or meteorites. Around some of these dents, scrapes, gashes, and holes- are floating debris clouds.
----------
OOC GM note: Each faction will be arriving together in one ship. Make sure to bring three or four biological NPC crew-members along. Your first post will be the arrival to the scene of the floating ship- and locating preferable docking solutions. There are four possible- and are first-come-first-serve! Once arriving, that will be my queue to describe the area you're landing in, and allow you all to disembark
One will find an in-tact airlock.
Another will be able to dock in one of the lightly damaged shuttle bays.
They can also find a small docking port for cargo shipments.
Lastly - there will be a blown-out hole someone can land in that used to be an engineering bay.

Re: Derelict
The Sith did indeed get a copy of the transmission. A Ship of Jedi origin could be profitable to the Empire especially if the ship was transporting Sith Artifacts. The team assembled quickly, he brought Vector this would be his first mission under his employ, Inside the shuttle were other personnel including the pilot and co-pilot along with a couple of soldiers. Warvanus did not know who else from the Empire came along but it was clear that he needed to be on this mission.
The shuttle wasted no time in its departure made with the most haste as possible. When the shuttle approached, Warvanus made his way to the cockpit , it did indeed look old. He wanted to find a landing spot quick because he knew the Empire, Jedi and the Alliance would be hot on the trail and might try to attack the shuttle.
The Shuttle made its approach, ready for evasive maneuvers if needed. “Scan for a place to land” he instructed the pilot. The Pilot’s hands flew over the controls like a man possessed. Beeps and chimes rang out through the cockpit. “We have found several milord” Warvanus nodded in acknowledgement. He thought for a moment. “Fly us to the closest one” The pilot nodded his acknowledgement as the shuttle approached the derelict. It approached its docking area and began docking/landing protocols. Warvanus made his way to the shuttle, He issued a few orders to his agent Vector who began grabbing his gear as Warvanus prepped for disembarking

Re: Derelict
Rhoden finished checking his armor and carefully picked up his blaster. He had recently acquired the weapon through a rather favorable trade with a bounty hunter--and so far it had proven a potent weapon. He turned to the man standing beside him, defiling a spare set of Inferno Squad armor. "I must say Commander, this armor is rather nicer than I would have expected." ISB Major Sek Weimer said. "I'm glad you appreciate it." Rhoden said, his voice betraying none of his inward fury at being forced by circumstance to work with the ISB.
The Empire had received information about some derelict ship, Rhoden had decided upon reading the attached files that he was rather interested in the investigation of the ship. Unfortunately the ISB had been adamant enough to force along Major Weimer as well, forutnately Rhoden had been able to ensure the Major was the only agent joining them. Rhoden looked to the other man standing in the room with him and the Major. Lieutenant Commander Ferik Niles of the Imperial Navy, also wearing a spare set of Inferno Squad's armor. He didn't know either of them well, but he had a reasonable degree of faith in the abilities of any Imperial officer--even those of the ISB.
Rhoden returned to the cockpit, "Lieutenant Ozrok," Rhoden said, looking out at the bulk of the ship "Bring us in." Rhoden sat in the copilots chair, and turned it around to face yet another chair where a rather unique droid sat. "This should be interesting, eh?" Rhoden said to 33-5H4.

"Power down; let's glide in the rest of the way to stay off sensor readings," Buggie instructed the Trogodile Corsair that sat beside him in the cockpit of his Helix-class light interceptor.
The Blue Star Pirates were somewhat late to the party, having detected a shuttle at the edge of sensor range before it disappeared into the blue electrical haze that surrounded the derelict vessel. The light interceptor hadn't gotten the opportunity to run a focused scan on the shuttle, but Buggie knew that if anyone were daring enough to explore the vessel this soon after its distress beacon was picked up, odds were that they weren't willing to share. It was for that precise reason that Buggie had hand-picked the group accompanying him.
First, the Trogodile beside him was a crack pilot. He would remain with the vessel in the event that the pirate boarding party needed to make a quick getaway. On top of that, if any of the adventurers aboard the derelict vessel decided to take Buggie's light interceptor as a consolation prize, the Trogodile had a mean looking scattergun stowed on his hip. The next, a Terrelian Jango Jumper, as they were called, sat in the cramped aft quarters with the rest of the boarding party. The Terrelian Jango Jumper was a White Blade combat specialist; always ready to move, and she was always chewing on a wad of brightgum and jogging her legs up and down in anticipation of getting up and getting moving. Finally, the reason why the pirate arrival took so long, a Sullustan expert of antiquities, currently serving as a tenured sava at Obroa-skai College, rounded out the remainder of Buggie's team. While Buggie himself was well-versed in Jedi artifacts, the Celestial sava could provide additional insight and knowledge on any special artifacts that perhaps weren't of Jedi origin.
The best part, Buggie reflected as the Helix-class light interceptor glided into a blown-out gap in the derelict vessel's hull, was that it was only half of the complement that the Blue Star Pirates had sent on this foray. The reason why the aft quarters were so packed was that Captain Jak Bexel and his cadre of criminals had tagged along. Knowing Bexel's skills firsthand, Buggie had decided that the charismatic Corellian would be best suited to fit the bill if any slicing were required of the team.
"Starting the landing sequence now, Bex," Buggie called into the aft of the interceptor, certain that the boarding party standing shoulder-to-shoulder were more than ready to get out of the ship.
The Helix slowly nosed down onto the deck of what appeared to be an expansive engineering bay. It was lucky that the light interceptor was fairly compact; if it had been any larger, it would have ruptured more bulkheads than whatever had opened up the engineering bay to vacuum. Once the landing sequence had been completed and the light interceptor had snugly tucked itself into the engineering bay, Buggie readied the chest-mounted life support system that had been salvaged from a pilot uniform. Once out in the hard vacuum, the protection of the life-support system would last for a couple of hours at most. It didn't seem that the engineering bay had atmosphere intact, so locating an airlock and hoping that it still cycled would be the first priority of the boarding party.
After passing the helm to the Trogodile, Buggie poked his head into the aft section and asked, "Is everyone ready?"

Re: Derelict
The commando droid had been spinning around in the chair for a solid half-hour as the YT soared through the cosmos, it's photoreceptors soaking in every detail of the ship. At his flanks stood two Imperial Engineers, equipped in their usual uniform and armed with the venerable E-11e blast cannon - a devastatingly effective weapon in the undoubtedly close confines of the ship they were about to board. 33-5H4 itself was clothed in Imperial commando armor, it's metallic visage hidden by the helmet. The commando droid had brought, among other things, a small scout blaster holstered along it's ankle, and the ever-imposing E-Web blaster. The droid, due to being stronger than most soldiers, was able to hoist around the massive blaster's power pack on it's back and wield the gun with a devastatingly accurate aim. The weapon currently sat on the floor, leaning against the wall of the freighter.
33-5H4 abruptly stopped spinning, facing Rhoden as the agent began speaking.
(((Oh yes, Rhoden. A most interesting occurrence. I'm half-expecting at least one of us to die, what with the Jedi being involved. I hate Jedi. It's a shame none of us brought flechette rifles.)))
The two Engineers, known only as Nutcase and Bolter, made idle chitchat with each other as they waited to dock.

Re: Derelict
Disembarking from the ship, behind Blood came Fox, and behind those two came a well equipped Nagai named Nevil who was trained in computer tech, general electronics. and if bought properly, slicing. In a light armorweave, the wily guy had various gadgets and such tucked across his back, down a pair bi-organic arms as his hands were cybernetic, and in his satchel he had slung over his left side. On waist holsters, a pair of Swampstunner blaster pistols hung, and on the waist sat quite a few clips in case he needed. With him was a Firrerreo named Hroarr, carrying a hefty slew of ammunition and a couple of the new blasters he borrowed from the inventory Blood purchased from Dastan's broker deal. Two vibroswords hung from waist holsters, while he carried a new-tech blaster rifle, heavy and both quick-firing with a med-hard punch. Dressed in a bit heavier armor, he followed his team, determined to get the job done.
Waiting for Kell and Raphael, Blood made quick inventory of himself. A thermal grenade for final measures, his two sabers, prepped, sharpened and stocked Lanvarok, a P-15 shield generator in case things heated to quick for his Force to defend, and his Draconic armor, reinforced by Orbalisk Segments. Fox was dressed in the matching inventory, though he had simple and stolen beskar weave heavy armor.
This place felt as if it were brimming with adventure, mystery, and the thirst for discovery kept him active and already searching. Not only was this a prime oppertunity for a good hunt, but it was high time Raphael got in on actual missions with him. The Acolyte was already excelling with solo trainings; now it was time for the real feast.

Re: Derelict
"If we're measuring this encounter by your standards Commander, then I sincerely hope this proves to be as dry and uninteresting as possible", Vassyl interrupted, his voice slightly garbled through his helmet. The Captain had yet to operate extensively within the confines of his spacetrooper armor, yet the present situation all but demanded it. Though more intense siege models sported a broader array of weapons and thicker defensive plating, Doren's particular gear was modeled after the light spacetrooper variant that saw extensive use during the initial Thrawn Campaign. Despite minor losses in assault and defensive capabilities, the Captain's more compact suit boasted a greater range of mobility and a fresh dose of speed. If any occupants aboard the floating wreck posed an issue, Vassyl would be certain to bring a swift end to their interference. With the combined arms of Lieutenants 33 and Ozrok, as well as Commander Carbine, hypotehtical dissidents were in for a cruel surprise.
As their freighter drew closer to the derelict spacecraft, Doren's attention focused back on the ancient rig that lay before him. Regardless of their present decline, it seemed the Jedi of old had quite an eye for engineering at one time or rather. The tatters of the once-great vessel, even marred with signs of decay, was still a sight to behold. One could not help but marvel at trim finish on the exterior metalwork, and the small details that dotted the main chassis. And, if the outside showed this much promise, Vassyl deviously wondered what sort of secrets might be locked inside the transport. In terms of historic prerogative, the Empire had little interest with Jedi relics. However, with the reconstituted Inquisitorius growing in size, materials relating to The Force, or any raw components such as Kybers would prove a handsome addition to the project. An addition that Doren had every intention to acquire.

Mastigophorous city outskirts, planet Drall
Corellian system, Corellian sector
"Why me?" the brown-haired, blue-eyed young lady dressed in a casual brown jacket and a blue gown leaned back in her chair, outside the farm house they were currently sitting in. She was sitting against a wooden table, and she turned her head away and looked up at the evening sky of Drall.
The black-clad Jedi Knight, robed in a silvery cloak with its hood pulled back to reveal a head of elongated black hair and bright green eyes, sighed. "You're probably the best, or at least the most renown, physicist specialising in hyperspace theory. You hold a second doctorate in hyperdrive systems engineering. You assembled your first hyperdrive when you were fourteen years old! A LOR from you is exactly what I need," Jedi Knight, Annan Anakin Rainwalker's burning green eyes bore into her.
She did not know whether it was because he was a Jedi, or because he was so adamant.
She laughed. Mockingly, so, in fact. A defense mechanism, perhaps, but she really didn't know what to do. She didn't expect Jedi fanboys, after all. "Now, don't get the wrong impression here. I'm flattered that a mighty Knight of the Jedi Coalition thinks of me so highly," she sighed, a mocking smirk on her face as she looked away from him again. "But you haven't really done your homework, kid. I'm also the laughing stock of the vast majority of the ADMT," she was referring to the Alliance Division of Military Technology.
Jedi Rainwalker crossed his hands over his chest, his eyes changing to the calm orbs of a serene Jedi. His look certainly had a... unnerving? Inspiring?... effect on her, and she flinched as he looked at her. "Your holoarticle on Hyperspace Tracking. I think it's solid. Probably the most brilliant piece of literature I have ever seen on the subject, really," he said.
Blue eyes met green.
Annan wondered for a moment if he had grown a second head.
Finally, after tense silence, she scoffed. "That's because there isn't much on the subject. What would you know? You specialize in Droidotics. The brightest minds in the field of Hyperspace Physics publicly humiliated me on the matter."
Annan's eyes continued to probe her soul - or so it seemed to her. They were just so gentle, so serene, so... green. "I am a Jedi. During my many... misadventures, I happened to come across an... unreliable... source, that informed me, that the Empire has been working on a similar project for decades. Since before the Battle of Yavin," this time it was he who leaned back in his seat, and she whose shoulders were tense.
"... Perhaps. I've heard similar rumours... scientists do like to boast, word gets around, even across warring borders... but it was just that. Hearsay," she said in a low tone, after a pause. "It was never a--"
Jedi Rainwalker's communicator rung at that moment. He gazed at her apologetically, before taking the message. It was from Bigweld 2.0, the Scintillance had been contacted by none other than Master Xin, Ani's Master from his time as a Padawan. There was intel about an extremely outdated, derelict ship that had been discovered, one of Jedi origin. The Council on Naboo had selected Jedi Rainwalker, budding Jedi Seeker, to lead the investigation team with a few of the Antarian Rangers.
Annan wondered if the Council had lost their mind.
Ani couldn't really have been so brilliant to have climbed up on their good side so fast?
"I'm afraid we shall discuss this another time, Doctor Erdo," he gave her a smile, before standing up to his full height, "Duty calls."
Dr. Erdo stood up behind him as he turned to leave. She stared at his retreating back, before sparing a glance in the direction of the cornfield. She heaved in a sigh.
"Wait. Please take me with you! I'm a physicist. Disgraced or not, I honestly don't want to spend the rest of my life fixing combines so they can work on Papa's cornfield."

YT-2000 light freighter Scintillance
Dustbucket's Silent Void of Space
Anonymous system, anonymous sector
Jedi Rainwalker flew the Scintillance into the starless, mist-filled void, garbed in his customary black attire. Four Antarian Rangers namely Commander Spock, Lieutenant Kirk, and Officers Sulu and McCoy - were aboard his vessel, assigned to serve under his command as he investigated this precarious Jedi relic and prepare a report to present before the Council on Naboo. His aunt, Zulara, had her own business to attend to, and she had taken his droids and Dr. Murphy Erdo with him. He had initially agreed to bring Dr. Erdo along, but after being debriefed about the mission contents he had insisted that she stay on Naboo. Something in the back of his head - quite likely, the Force - had just did not let him bring her along no matter how hungry she was for adventure. Hence, she had decided to go with Zulara instead.
Ani wondered if he should be worried about that. Zula was known to get herself stuck in less-than-safe situations. Maybe he should have brought Dr. Erdo along. She probably would've been safer here, perhaps her scientist background could even have helped him identify the origins of this ship.
As if to belie those thoughts of his, the blue-tinted discharges of the ionized gas began... well, popping and exploding. The starpilot inside Ani cringed, as he became aware of the superficial damage those discharges would have caused. The Scintillance actually shook with some of the more powerful electrical bolts as they took his beloved YT-2000 for a dance floor.
This was going to need one heck of a paintjob.
~ Beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-bee-zzzunnnn~
The Jedi's green orbs narrowed as he repeatedly pressed the relevant buttons in his cockpit. The alarm was followed by starboard, portside and aft sensors going completely offline; not even the emergency relays had kicked in to cover for a malfunction like they normally would have.
Okay, maybe leaving the girls and the droids behind was a good idea after all.
His black-gloved, prosthetic hands tightened around the helm controls of the Scintillance, as he saw the blinking sphere grow ever larger in size. The mist disappeared almost abruptly, and he came into view of the silvery, damaged, ancient vessel. He sucked in a breath.
Maybe they should've left this job to someone nearer to the rank of Jedi Master.
'Fear is the path to the Dark Side,' he recalled his Master's timeless words. He inhaled, then exhaled out his anxiety, attaining static serenity. With sensors offline, he manually guided the Scintilance straight down. The trajectory on which he had approached had left any airlocks or docking ports out of his sight - Jedi Rainwalker wondered if there were any even functioning on this old timer - but he spotted a blown out hole that, from his vantage point as he brought the Scintillance down nearer, appeared to offer a safe landing platform leading to the interior of the ship.
Thus, Jedi Rainwalker steered the ship into the hole, while pressing the comms button on his starboard control panel. "Commander Spock, we're here. Arm yourselves and prepare the boarding party."

"If there is no path before you, create your own."

Re: Derelict
Standing firm in the dormitory section of the ship were the young members of the group. Raphael, the natural leader of the bunch, led his sister Lilith and his fellow acolyte Emre. The three suited up for what seemed to be a boarding mission of a lost ship, floating in the vast expanse of the galaxy. All were a bit nervous and shaky, as this assignment seemed to be one of the most important ones they have been on. Lord Blood, the twin’s father, rarely ever worked with the one they call Warvanus. This stood out to the group as they recognized the importance of this ship required Warvanus’s presence as well.
Raphael suited up with the plated bone armor he had received not long ago. On his back, crossed in an “X”, were two vibroswords as he was not prepared to wield a lightsaber yet. On his left wrist he placed a Lanvarok, which he was just getting used to. Finally, on his waist sat a pair of Swamp Stunners, for insurance. The other two acolytes were outfitted with similar vibroswords attached at their hips, both carrying two. They each wore a set of light armor, as they hadn’t gained the experience Raphael has yet. Each carried their own P-15 shield generator as suggested by Lord Blood, just in case things move too quickly.
Each member of the boarding party had their own assignments, and whom they would stick with if they got lost among the derelict. Warvanus tended to stay alone, yet he might bring a new individual he saw named “Vector”. Lord Blood took charge of Fox, a Nagai, and a Firrerreo. Along with the men Raphael was in charge of, Blood picked up these individuals just before they had left for the assignment.
All at once, the three walked out to the crew lounge section of the ship to meet the other two Raphael would command. The silver eyes of the young man scanned the spotting the two suiting up. A human male by that went by the name “Cutter” stood in the center. Cutter, a combat medic, wore a set of medium combat armor and carried a trooper rifle along with a pack that contained the necessary medical equipment. The other individual standing in the corner was a hairy looking one. Lord Blood had described her as a Defel, a species who had the natural ability to bend the light around them to become partially invisible to the untrained eye. “Ami” was her name as she outfitted herself with light combat armor and a pair blaster pistols. Ami had been trained as a scout and would be primarily used as one if need be.
Commanding such a large group was unusual task for Raphael, but he felt he had a natural leadership quality about himself to successfully do it. The quintet moved towards the ramp of the ship, they found Lord Blood ready to go. Raphael nodded in acknowledgement to the group to show that they were intending to disembark.

Re: Derelict
This could be his first mission after his resurgence, but he didn’t have all the details in hand, could be fun or not, but Kieran would use this as a training ground, to see how his reflects were fine, to see if he could do it. He just was there, inside the ship awaiting orders. He put in his heavy battle armor, and DH-17 Heavy Blaster that he found in his belongings, and the trip began. He was alone, just following his master Mr. Slade, or as he called himself Mr. Blood.
Could he bring back full to action, was a question that rounded his head, but this time he calmed himself, Kieran was eager to show what he was capable to do, but as for the past he didn’t want to repeat the failure of his previous mission, this time he would be more patient, he would led others lead him, he was just bidding his time, learn what he could and then grab his piece of glory. For the others he was just one more, but for Kieran, he was the one.
The ship began his descending protocols, he felt it as he knew several time, but where they were, only the captain of the ship or the mission leader knew, Kieran acknowledge that the rest of the team was preparing to disembark and he fastened to do so too. “I’m ready” he just muttered, then approached to Lord Blood and say, “Milord, what’s next?”
