Raphael leaned back, scoffing at the notion of him being called a traitor. He never in a million turns around the sun would consider himself that. The young man knew who he was and who he wanted to be, none of those bearing the name of traitor. But still, Raphael kept his cool and pondered the man’s issues with him. Out of all the groups in this galaxy who had told him no, this one made it a point to call out his shortcomings before he would say no. The young man was losing hope, how could he convince a stubborn man and an even more stubborn government?
Leaning forward again, Raphael would take another stab at it. “I am no traitor. There was never a choice…. I did what I was told because that’s all I knew.”
A long exhale led to more added thought, “I am not dead set on waging war. I would much rather see peace throughout this galaxy. But war is inevitable. I know their leaders; they will strike once opportunity presets itself. And while you may scoff at their ancient naval technology, they will be laughing when they bypass your navy completely and strike hard while you are content on watching the civilians they oversee suffer.”
The man before him was scared not of the devil himself or even the supposed capabilities of the Sith. He was stuck in what he knew, what the alliance had come to view as a comfortable state of the galaxy. While they lounged on their peaceful planets, enjoying their elections. The Sith reigned with terror, enslaving their subjects to far worse than they could ever imagine. Yet, he still felt the need to make sure they were ready for whatever was to come.
“I am not asking for the Alliance to launch a full scale invasion in Sith Space. All I am asking is that they prepare themselves and their citizens. Prepare, send scout units deep into Sith space to see with their own eyes what has become of them and their navy,” Raphael pleaded.
“Send me with a select few, I will show you that they are preparing. And if you find my doom sayings to be true, we strike with that scout team. We could end the war before it even starts at little to no cost of ‘The Boys’,” he added.
Once again, Raphael would await the man to tell him he was wrong.

Arthas tickled his nose. There was this. There was that. No slave empire could match the raw production of a free people or one tricked into loyal service. But things could have changed. Every new sith was a new product to study and dispose of. What could it hurt? It wasn't like he'd go to that fiery hell.
"The Alliance is ever vigilant. It is in a state of perpetual war with the Empire. Local forces are always on the rise. The unified fleet is always on the patrol, guarding the lanes and doing its blasting thing. But..."
He clapped his hands, proud to have come up with something.
"This is what I'll do. My friends and I have access to certain all but forgotten accounts from eras long past. I'll wire you some credits. Hire some of those Blue Star Pirates. The Alliance trusts them, enough. Take a peak. Get some good scans. Send me the data, and I'll see about passing it along. A fair compromise I do think. Deal?"
He extended his hand. He wasn't about to go into sith lands. He didn't need a lightsaber tan.

Cowards, that’s what they were. This man represented the Alliance and all it had shown him was that they were content to sit and wait for the galaxy to burn before actually lifting a finger. Very well then, Raphael understood their position on the situation. It wouldn’t stop the young man from continuing his crusade though, he knew the threat and he knew what would become of this galaxy if he did not prepare them.
“Kriff off, keep your credits,” he so boldly stated. Raphael was too stubborn for what the man was offering. He didn’t understand the urgency needed for this type of situation.
Raphael no longer wanted anything to do with this man; he just wanted to continue on his own personal crusade. Leaving the room with Bates, Raphael left the man’s hand hanging as he had no care in the world if he ever saw him again. When the day came and the Alliance was attacked, Raphael wouldn’t be there.
