The Gamma-class ATR-6 assault transport The Jewel of Jakku
Two-thirds of the way from Lafra to Zygerria
Wyl sector, near Chorlian sector border
The Jewel of Jakku, under the command of the Blue Star pirate Captain Ashara Rys and after her little skirmish with some instigators over in Corellia, was quietly and safely sailing at sublight speeds through deep space towards the predetermined rendezvous point between herself and Aurek Fleet. Even though she was still quite technically a jump off from her actual destination, as it were she was set to likely arrive a few days before the rest of the fleet and so she had some time to kill. She may have had to cover a far greater area in terms of parsecs compared to them, but fleet movements were slow, and their route was circuitous. All she had to do was follow the Corellian Run back to Coruscant and from there, follow the Perlimian Trade Route straight to Lianna, and then quietly make her way here, a grand total of just three straight jumps across major hyperlanes; hence her hasty arrival.
Of course, they were well within Imperial territory at this point, even if the Empire's actual jurisdiction all the way out here in the Outer Rim was nonexistent at best. When she left Aurek Fleet for Corellia, they were moving down the Celanon Spur. By now, they had likely restocked at Ord Tellarom and, if everything had gone according to plan, they were merrily sailing across the Listehol Run.
From the viewport of the cockpit, Ashara stared at the unending blackness all about her. She could actually see Lafra's star system from here, a faint, barely visible sparkling firefly against the huge dark backdrop of space.
"'Tis mind-bogglin', ain't it?" she asked, leaning comfortably into her seat. "How huge and complicated the galaxy is!"
"... Mmhmm," was her Jedi first mate's only response, as he lay sprawled across the pilot seat which had been tilted, head-side lowered and foot-side raised into a makeshift bed, one of their RX-24s in actual control of their vessel. Annan was probably one of the best pilots Ashara had ever seen, and that was another reason why they had gotten here so fast, but the Firrrereo was resting for the moment and couldn't be bothered to form a coherent response.
"Sometimes, I wonder if we could ju--" suddenly, the cockpit consoles lit up, the alarm jolting Annan awake.
Leaning over the console, Ashara's fingers quickly danced across the keypads as Annan readjusted his seat and took back manual control of the ship from the RX-24 unit beside him. Both their eyes narrowed - Annan's shamrock ones in cool determination, and Ashara's sapphire ones in sheer loathing, as they realized what, exactly, had set off the proximity alarms this far out in the middle of nowhere.
It had no doubt tried its best to look inconspicuous, but they were Blue Star Pirates for crying out loud. They knew a Zygerrian slave vessel when they saw one.
