clearing things up

Post by Neive Undant » Tue Feb 13, 2018 8:34 pm

Neive walked through the white hallway of the small transport ship as it was piloted back towards Alliance space. He sighed, leaning on the wall as he waited for word from the higher-ups. When a meeting was held on their way back from a diplomacy talk, Neive wanted to talk to them before they went off on another meeting. This could be his only chance to talk to them about his place in this operation, and more specifically, the trust that the GA had in him in general. But before he could say a word, they had already locked themselves in the board room.

Typical.

"We need to think about the smaller groups so that they don't become a larger problem in operations against the empire."
Admiral zule yslamari spoke to the other 2 superior officers in the room. Although they didn't hold full power of the alliance, the 3 did hold a large influence over the easts' forces. But the way things had been going, they couldn't agree enough to do something very productive besides hit and run attacks like the one Neive had attended not long ago in wild space.
"If we are to take the fight to the empire, we need not waste lives encountering rag-tag groups that think they can do something about a threat that isn't even hostile to them!" said General Arturo saran. Known as the savior of concord dawn, Saran was one of the most highly respected generals in the alliance.
"If we take care of the smaller groups, there is no resistance when we attack the empire. But we're such a small army compared to them, we need to isolate ourselves from any conflict besides that of inward criminals in order to train more soldiers so we can commit to both plans." Sarai newblood. The first removed of Admiral Ackbar himself, and an impressive strategist in her own right.
"Hold on... if we had a squad, or a unit that could possibly take care of these smaller groups, we can focus on the empire as you want to, and limit the amount of lives lost to these groups. But they'll have to be an elite group, someone who can take care of any smaller resistance. No jedi knights or anyone, as they won't be fighting Sith or against any outstanding force, but someone who can defeat these terrorists that fight us in the streets of our cities." Yslamari was always one to compromise.

con't: clearing things up

Neive looked at his communicator as he was called into the room before walking towards the door, entering after a moment as the three looked at him.
"Mr. Undant. We have it to our attention that while you have done quite a bit in the name of the Galactic Alliance, you were never given a formal rank. Today, while looking over our records and deciding on further action, we reached a decision." said admiral Yslamari.

Neive looked at the three, at attention.

"if you would take the assignment, we would like to ask you to lead and recruit a covert operations system. Someone that could handle interior threats to the Alliance as well as taking on smaller and more classified tasks against the larger factions. Perhaps even come into contact with them to gain information." Said Sarai.
Neive listened to the words of the two, as the general stayed silent, nothing to say. Neive spoke after a moment.
"Permission to speak freely, commanders?"

They looked to each other before sarai nodded. Neive spoke again.
"I will do whatever I can to help the GA, but my primary target as an alliance member, for personal reasons, is the galactic empire. I will gladly undertake any mission needed by the alliance, but my methods against the empire, as they have been in the past, may include people that we are enemies with. Before I agree to this, I must ask. May I obtain allies, if they are against a common enemy?"

Sarai looked at the general as he held his tongue, and Zule wasn't sure what to say. Finally, she spoke up.
If I may speak, we did become affiliated with the blue star pirates to band against the empire, so any kind of conflict with other factions besides the empire is out of our hands. The sith's cult, the mandalorians, hutts, we have no current conflict with them. And although we aren't well sided allies, we do need any help against the empire we can get."

Neive nodded. He understood what she said completely. "In that case, what would you like to name my operation?"

General saran spoke up.
"The empire has a similar force, inferno squad. So, I nominate naming this operation, The extinguisher. Any opposed?"

The other two shook their heads, agreeing to it.
Neive smiled a bit, nodding once again. "I'll find the best men for the job at hand. I appreciate the opportunity, commanders. I will not fail you."

"Then I suppose we have a new rank for you. A rank formerly never given to anyone in the alliance. From this day, you will be liutenant commander. Only a formality to mask your elite status. Anything you need within reason... The Alliance will attempt to provide." Neive gave a salute to the 3 before exiting, but not before sarai gave him the coordinates for a training base to train his squadron... and a docking bay number.

As neive left, he looked at the number. "What's this, then...?"

Neive entered the docking bay, walking to the numbered bay and seeing what he thought for a second was a sun, but after a good look, he saw.
A marquis shuttle transport, heavily modified for agility and versatility within combat. It was the perfect ship for Neive. He sighed, seeing what all his work for the alliance had given him. So as he walked towards the new ship, he took another look at the coordinates before entering, thinking as the ship exited the port, Neive plugging in the coordinates.

"Time for a new step forward..."

Neive pushed the hyper drive, and off he went.
