Ord has been gone a while due to life. It's time someone rises up to fill that position!

Please nominate candidates and discuss below for the 2 Co-FL positions.

2 because Ord and I were appointed Co-FLs by the staff. Now that we have a few active people, it's a good time to take stock. Maybe we have 2 people who really want the job and have a vision of the future. Maybe we have someone who would love to be our "story guy," but doesn't have time for the rest. What I'm getting at is it's a good chance to get a feel for the faction and all that jazz.

The imaginary floor is now open.

Mind if I nominate myself for the space? I'm mostly active and can get things done fairly fast.
As for another spot, I think zechs is doing a great job so far, so why change it unless he doesn't want to do it?

This actually begs a few questions from me- being a newcomer to the Alliance and all.

Who is active in RP's, and active with the community?

Who has experience running and organizing/motivating people in a forum?

--Organizing and forwarding group RP that helps out the GA (in more than just fights. Talking about knitting the community, and encouraging involvement in inter and intra faction adventure.)

Who's characters have good track records with the faction?

Is this more of IC or OOC responsibilities?

I don't want to be FL. What what we need is a fresh face, fresh take, and a level head. Neive, you've been around longer but you couldn't wait to leave us in the lurch and have been trying to do so even before I came over from the BSP to help out. That immediately bombs your chances in my opinion.

Ani, you're less active that me at moment so I don't feel, right now, you're a good fit either.

Whomever it is that takes the hot seat, I'll support them but my vote goes toward Shay.

that's fair. But if I am given the position, I won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Trust me, the last thing I want is to be FL or co-FL, whether I'm as active as a school girl or as a slug. The simplest reason is that it involves making responsible decisions, and I have to make enough of those RL that I can't let myself get distracted by worrying about where to take the next GA plot or how to best maintain the GA armada or what planet to liberate next. I hope that's understandable.

That said, I'm always available for advice and help regarding new ideas, and NPCing any politicians and all that where I'm needed.

Shay seems like an awesome person and all, a great rper, but my humble opinion is that she's too new. Too many new people show up and then disappear forever. Maybe give her a few months and see if she sticks around, then I'd surely give her my vote.

I'd support Neive before I read Sal's thoughts on him, and he's right. Though if Neive promises to stick around, I could reconsider this.

For now, therefore, my allegiance goes to Zechs or Sal. I don't care about new faces. Old ones are more reliable.

I appreciate the votes- though I am inclined to agree with Ani on this one (what's happening with the world?!).

I also don't feel like I've been involved with the Galactic Alliance long enough to place a vote. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that.

If you aren't GA, please keep out of this. Also, please remain on topic.

I agree with a lot said. I love fresh blood. I really want someone new in the job. I don’t want it to be by this narrow of a margin.

Let’s revist this next month. See if opinions change. Shay will be here a little then and should have a better feel for us all. A tie shouldn’t be possible then unless people leave or abstain.
