From the desk of the Chief of State OOCly speaking the Faction Leader. The following information is in regard to In Character rank and advancement as well as incentive rewards for raising through the ranks of the Galactic Alliance Military. All rank advancements and incentives are subject to review and approval by the Chief of State (Faction Leader.)

All new members of the Galactic Alliance wishng to join the Military start off as enlisted members as a simple Recruit of enlisted rank, unless the Faction Leader and a majority of the command rank Player Character officers ranks C1-C5 vote in favor of an exception based mainly on Sithlore history of the Player Character seeking admission into the Galactic Alliance Military.


Advancement through the Enlisted ranks

An enlisted rank between E1-E4 can be assigned to a new recruit who completes a training thread supervised by a PC Officer of the Galactic Alliance or the Faction Leader. This training thread is in the form of a bootcamp themed thread, in which the recruit undergoes basic training situations. Upon completion of the thread the recruit will be given a rank between E1 and E4 based on the events of their bootcamp thread, conduct, as well as over all involvement and activity In Character on Sithlore. If recruit does not participate in a bootcamp thread they remain a recruit and must follow the regular advancement process outlined below. Completing a Bootcamp thread does not guarantee additional ranks beyond E1, likewise Officer Traing Thread completion doesn't guarantee additional ranks beyond O1.

Upon completion of a bootcamp thread the supervising member may recommend a new recruit for Officer Training. The Faction Leader will then review the thread and make a decision whether or not to offer the recruit an option to advance into an Officer rank using a method similar to that used for deciding Strong with the Force for Force Users.

How to advance to the next rank.
All ranks require site partcipation via completed threads in one form or another.
All rank advancement is subject to FL review/approval process.
All Player Characters wishing to advance in rank must put in a request for their next rank through an OOC post. Reply to this thread, with rank request.
Only one request for advancement in rank will be considered per month per Player Character.
All request must include links to completed threads being used for rank request. Each thread can only be used once.
Only one request per month to advance to Officer Ranks will be considered per month per Player Character.
Only threads as an active member of the Galactic Allaince will count toward rank advancement request.

Army advancement requires plantary based threads.

Galactic Alliance Intelligence (Galint)
Members of all service branches and ranks are eligable for assignment into Galint. The Galactic Alliance does not endorse black operations of any kind, all missions and assignments come directly down the chain of command of Intelligence or are approved by the Director of Intelligence before being undertaken. Recruitment into Galint may be requested at any time rank not withstanding. Faction Leader approval required.

Kalidor Crescent - This is the Alliance Medal of Honor. The Crescent is the highest awardable medal to any active military personnel. Awarded for acts of bravery well beyond the call of duty; displaying unparalleled heroism in the face of the impossible.

Five embellishments may be awarded to the Kalidor Crescent. These awards represent an additional award of the Crescent. In order of precedence:

- Bronze Cluster - Awarded for continued acts of heroism.

- Silver Talons - Awarded for a display of superior skills and honor in the line of duty.

- Silver Scimitar - Awarded for excellence and continued heroism.

- Golden Wings - Awarded for bravery in the face of extreme adversity.

- Diamond Eyes - Final award available to the Kalidor Crescent. Awarded for action according to the highest principles and dedication to the Alliance. This is the epitome of gallantry




Corellian Cross - Awarded to any person serving in any capacity in the military, who has distinguished themselves in action with the military, or in operations conducted with friendly foreign forces, by taking extraordinarily heroic action at the risk of life sufficient to set the individual apart from his or her comrades.




Star of Alderaan - Awarded to a person who, while serving in any capacity in the Alliance military, is cited for gallantry in action against an enemy of the Alliance while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing force, or while with friendly foreign forces in armed conflict with an enemy.




Shield of Yavin - Awarded to the gallant defenders of the Alliance after engaging the enemies of the Alliance against an opposing armies’ invasion efforts. For those who have come to display the fullest and most vigorous defenses of this Galaxies’ freedom.




Combat Action Badge - Awarded to members of the Alliance Military who have distinguished themselves in an engagement with enemies of the Galactic Alliance.




Nebula of Bravery - Awarded to Alliance Special Forces members who have gone above and beyond the line of duty for his/her unit.




Redbird - Awarded to personnel who were wounded in the line of duty. (Generation Only - Moderate Wounds and Higher)




Superior Service Award - A Unitary Decoration given to units who have displayed superior excellence in a combat scenario in which they are actively engaged with an enemy of the Alliance.




Group Commander Citation - Awarded to a Military Commander after his assigned unit displays superior gallantry in the face of adversity.




Battle Medal and Clasp - Awarded to Military personnel who have distinguished themselves in action against an enemy of the Alliance. A blue ribbon with a red hollow diamond border. Hanging beneath the ribbon is the corresponding disc with the Solider’s branch insignia in the middle. Each tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold) replaces the hanging disc.

Entry Level - Recruit

In an effort to help get recruits faster into rps, the Alliance will now be giving new recruits a signing bonus of 50,000 credits upon completing their joining RP.

Requirements:
You're new.
You're in the SLIU.
You complete a "joining the GA/Jedi" rp.

The person who the recruit rps with will then contact the current Faction Leader. Once reviewed, the credits will be transferred.

In an effort to allow newer members to get shipping in the spacelanes, boosting faction production and their personal: After your 3rd full month in the SLIU with the faction, you may apply for a personal transport by contacting the current FL.

The value of the transport cannot exceed 340,000 credits. If it costs less and to maintain fairness, the difference will be paid in credits.
