The Galactic Alliance (Old and Outdated)
Posted: Sat Sep 16, 2017 4:26 am
The Rebel Alliance is no more. Winds of change have gripped the Galaxy in full and upon the wings of the Kalidor the Galactic Alliance was born. Forged upon the remnants of the fallen New Republic, the Galactic Alliance seeks a new and fresh start, free of the corruption that ravaged the prior organization. The Galactic Empire has opened its arms to behold its’ tyrannical views and iron fisted hold to the face of the Galaxy. Murder and corruption is their watchword. This is where the Galactic Alliance moves to take its stand. Freedom, Liberty… embraced by not the corruptible democracy of old but as a republic. Banded together the member states have become the Galactic Alliance. Together they would see the Empire toppled once and for all, the evils of the Sith eradicated but most importantly of all; a just and lasting republic once more.
The Jedi Coalition has returned to the Galaxy, major Temples or Enclaves have opened up once more on nearly every major Alliance member world in some extent or another. Once more Jedi Knights roam through Alliance Space, keeping the peace and justice they upheld all those cycles ago. On the eve of the Empire’s murdersome actions at the Massacre of Koda Station, Jedi have become assigned to specific Alliance Military Units along with the Antarian Rangers. They serve in roles of both advisory and action, dedicated to the cause of ending the tyrannical rule of the Empire once and for all.
Although these are turbulent times, the Galactic Alliance is determined to shatter the oppressive regimes of the Empire, Sith and their allies. We will continue to strike from a multitude of bases around the galaxy. We are the soldiers of the Alliance, and we are determined to win freedom and liberty for all the sentients in the galaxy.
The Alliance civilian government is responsible for handling the numerous jobs of any planetary civil government—including protecting the Alliance peoples, revenue gathering, maintenance of vital services, foreign relations and defense. Many of these functions were left to each member world or government of the Alliance. The civilian government of the Alliance is broken down as follows:
Inri Tansir - Female Omwati, age 31. - Final Year in Office - ABY 30
Chief of Military Operations— Wedge Antillies (Canon human male from Corellia NPC)
Minister of State
Chief of Alliance Intelligence— Director Crix Madine (Canon human male from Corellia NPC)
Subsidiary Council Members:
Chief of Army Command— High General Judder Page (Canon Human NPC)
Chief of Naval Command— High Admiral Gial Baram (Canon Mon Calamari NPC)
Chief of Starfighter Command— High Marshal Gavin Darklighter (Canon human male from Tatooine NPC)
Minister of Finance
Minister of Trade & Industry
Minister of State—The Minister of State is responsible for overseeing the civilian portion of the Alliance Cabinet, as well as handling relations with non-member governments. There are a number of departments that are not represented on the Advisory Council and the Chiefs of these departments report directly to the Minister of State.
Minister of Finance—Oversees budgets, spending, and income from Alliance worlds and supporters.
Minister of Trade & Industry—The Minister of Trade & Industry is responsible for the Alliance's production efforts and handles the production of items, weapons, ships, droids, and vehicles.
Minister of Education—Oversees the Alliance Academy and develops curriculum for its many programs. The programs that fall under the Minister's direction do not only include training for future military officers, but also intensive training for civilian roles within the government.
Minister of Logistics—Overseer of civilian operations that deal with the procurement, distribution, maintenance, and replacement of Alliance personnel, vessels, items, raw materials, and droids.
Minister of Justice—The Minister of Justice oversees the Justice Department and channels all legal matters through its three branches. The Alliance Justice Department is an executive department of the Ministry of State. It is split into three branches: judicial, prosecution, and defense. All three work to serve truth, the law and order.
Minister of Diplomacy—Overseer and administrator of all propaganda or diplomatic affairs within the Alliance. The Alliance Diplomacy Command is the Alliance's elite group of diplomats tasked with foreign affairs and public representation. Maintenance of contact with allies, friends and neutral groups is part of the Alliance Diplomacy Command's responsibility, but also negotiation and mediation on behalf and interest of the Alliance.
The Alliance Allied Commands were the individual governments of worlds, organizations, and groups that were members of the Alliance. Each Allied Command varied slightly depending on how each member world was organized, though in practice Allied Commands mimicked the structure of the Alliance government. However, due to the ramifications by the Empire, many of these worlds were only Allied Commands in secret, supporting the Galactic Alliance in all but a public show. For that reason, they will not be disclosed for their protection.
Alliance Military
High Command:
Chief of Military Operations: Wedge Antilles (Human male from Corellia NPC): High Marshal Wedge Antilles is known as one of the greatest heroes of the Republic and the Rebellion, and for good reason. Antilles is a skilled pilot, soldier, and strategist and is famous for being the only pilot to have survived battles against two Death Stars.
Chief of Naval Command: High Admiral Gial Baram (Mon Calamarian male from Dac NPC)
Chief of Army Command: High General Judder Page (Human male NPC)
Chief of Starfigher Command: High Marshal Gavin Darklighter (Human male from Tatooine NPC)
High Command and the Civilian Government is currently located at Alliance Headquarters located at Cloud City, Bespin. Due to its importance, it is rare that the entire High Command is present at one time.
BRANCHES
Navy Command (Fleet Command):
This department is responsible for the most important aspect of the Alliance military—Naval Operations. Navy Command is headed by the Chief of Naval Command. The Fleet Admiral, besides being the operation commander, also oversees the training, organization, and deployment of the fleet, giving the Navy Command supreme power over the Alliance fleet. Each task force is charged with following the orders of the Alliance leadership and pushing back against those standing in the way of freedom. They often call upon local cells to assist in their operations.
See SLIU for forces assigned.
High Admiral Gial Baram (Mon Calamari male from Dac NPC): A brilliant tactician and one of Gial Ackbar's prior officer's whose own list of accolades are nearly as long as his predecessors.
Starfighter Command:
This department oversees the control of all Alliance starfighter squadrons. In is responsible for training new pilots, assigning squadrons to the fleet, and loaning squadrons to sector forces for important missions. This command is considered one of the more difficult to manage, as it regularly has to deal with multiple requests for squadrons while faced with limited available resources.
High Marshal Gavin Darklighter (Human male from Tatooine NPC): One of the most talented starfighter pilots the Alliance has ever had and one time squadron leader of the legendary Rogue Squadron. Gavin Darklighter is now providing his expertise to the next generation of starfighter pilots.
Special Forces and Army Command:
Composed of the Alliance ground forces. Special Forces are small in number, due to the fact that most armies are local forces. The SpecForces are elite forces marked by excellence of training, brilliant leadership, and high morale. SpecForce units defend High Command, are attached to the Fleet, and aid local sector forces across the Galaxy.
High General Judder Page (Human NPC): High General Page is numbered amongst the most skilled commandos in the galaxy, having been involved in both the tragic Battle of Echo Base and the Battle of the Shield Bunker on Endor. Currently, he serves commanding the Alliance Army and SpecForce, nipping problems in the bud before they can become full-fledged threats to the Alliance.
Intelligence:
Alliance Intelligence is responsible for obtaining and analyzing military, diplomatic and economic information and reporting such information to the relevant branches of the Rebel Alliance. Alliance Intelligence is lead by Director Crix Madine, while the Internal Affairs branch is led by Deputy Director Deelto, a Toydarian.
Director of Intelligence Crix Madine (Human male from Corellia NPC): Director Crix Madine is another former Imperial who has acquitted himself well during the past decade. A master of subterfuge, he serves as the head of Intelligence for the Rebel Alliance and is responsible for locating and eliminating emerging threats before they can harm vulnerable cells.
Support Services:
Alliance Support Services oversees the fleet of transport and cargo craft maintained by the Alliance. Support Services also maintains all Alliance hospital ships and safeworlds. While not as glamorous as Navy or Starfighter Command, it is nonetheless one of the most crucial.
Ordinance and Supply:
This department was responsible for providing adequate supplies for the military, such as foodstuffs, fuel, spare parts, weapons, etc. In practice, Ordinance and Supply maintained only the fleet and starfighter units, leaving each sector force responsible for maintaining their own local ground forces. OaS works closely with the Minister of Logistics within the civilian government.
Minister of Logistics Rai'Rai Munvunc: As head of OaS, Munvunc is an important assistant to the military High Command. He formerly served as Minister of Supply in the civilian government. Among his other duties, Munvunc is one of the handful of senior personnel with authority to hire privateers or smugglers to serve the Alliance cause, and he is an enthusiastic supporter of this policy. The headquarters of OaS are based in Stronghold.
