pyrokinesis

Post by Neive Undant » Sat Jun 02, 2018 10:54 pm

if you transfer heat from a source to a flammable substance, is that technically pyrokinesis? I would like to know for my alteration app, as I don't want to perform a force power I don't know, but as pyrokinesis is defined as creating fire by "heating molecules," would it still be the power if you moved heat from one place to another?

The air itself can be considered a flammable substance, just because fire relies on it to provide it oxygen. Heat up the air particles by rubbing the atoms together, creating friction between the charges and build on it, until you have a spark. Take that spark, and fuel it with an altered wave of oxygen, and control that feed, that way you have controlled the element of fire. And then from that, send it to whatever other flammable substance you want.

So what if you wanted to move the heated air, like I was talking about earlier, but you didn’t have pyrokinesis. Would it be considered it or could you do that without knowing that power?

Heating air is fine. Friction can allow that. Vibrations of wavelengths, whether it be sound or light can heat air through said friction. Just use Alter Flow, or even manually alter the direction of where it's going, and there you go.

Just don't allow it to become fire.

I'll take a closer look at this in a few hours, but I would recommend that you read the Pyrokinesis description on the Beta SLIU, Neive. That should get you in the right direction.

read the description a couple times, and it sounds like for it to be pyrokinesis, you have to heat the molecules yourself. So, bringing heat from another area should be fine. That's all I needed to know.

new question: if you had a flammable material to start the fire in your hand with pyro, could you technically have a flamethrower with the force? manipulate the flames to shoot towards your enemies after they're made
