"This is perfect," Ben commented on the serene view. It was already a notice upon her character that she was seeking refuge from the chaos of the day to day within nature's grasp. It was inherently peaceful and to seek such solitude, rather than revenge, was an incredible feat in itself pointing primarily to the fact that she sought these things on her own rather than through the advice of a shrink, therapist or some brain doctor. Ben could see very easily that her character was already like a shining star.

Already Ben could have been inside her mind fishing around for everything he needed to declare her 'fit for service' or otherwise. But he did not. He would not be so intrusive. Honestly, he could discover and learn much about her simply from having a conversation and listening to; hearing even, her responses.

He shook his head though in disagreement. "No miss. It isn't what you can do for us." He smiled to her confidently. "What is it that we can do for you?" His question was genuine and honest. He would see to it that if she was in need of anything, she would get it. But the more pressing things he needed to know was not in the question but in the answer.

Within Ranah he could feel a faintness of strength in her. Not of her inner courage and mental fortitude but it was deeper. More quiet and subtle. He knew this strength well, it was the Force.

Yes, Ben had been derailed from his request from the Alliance Medical Bureau. He was no longer interested in Ranah's well being or mental traumas; she had already shown to him that she was fine. Every soldier carried the pain of loss within them. It never really went away. He too held these feelings as he was a pilot that served in the Rebel Alliance. He'd had his share of lost friends that would never fly on his wing again. Names etched into his mind and personalities that he could recall in his dreams. The best of men and the bravest of women long gone into yesterday's memories.

Ranah too would remember her lost friends. But it was how she dealt with these memories that truly mattered.

He looked to Aliclair and nodded, "What can you feel, Padawan?" The question was a simple one and while her skills were fresh and new, he wanted to see if his Apprentice could pick up on Ranah's potential abilities as well.

After her answer Ben looked back to Ranah. "I do not believe in coincidence. The Galaxy is too large and too wide a place. Too many worlds and too many people in them for coincidence to be real." He sat forward, "What do you think the chances are that in this moment and in this time a recovering Alliance Officer and a pair of Jedi would meet?"

He let her answer before he continued. "Please, if you do not mind. Indulge me on these next few questions."

"When on your missions, how often did you feel as if you were seeing deja vu? As if you'd already been to the places you know you'd never been before. Have you ever felt as if someone was watching you? And you turn around and it was true, but further still, you looked right at your observer and identified him straight away? Have you ever felt as if your reactions were so sharp that you could almost see things happen before the did?"

He smiled. "These feelings, are the Force speaking to you."

Slowly he stood up and waited for her to stand up as well. "I will give you the choice here and now, Miss Ranah. I can clear you for active duty and you may return to the Alliance Special Operations, effective immediately. Or, I can vouch for your clearance but instead of resuming service in the Alliance Military, we can take you on Leave and I'd like you to meet with the Jedi Council on Koda Station. You are a bit old, no offense miss, to begin training as a Jedi, but I feel strongly that this is something we should address. I would like to take you with Aliclair and myself, and see about a future for you in the Jedi Coalition."

Aliclair stood in silence, as this would be something she would need to do in the future. She gave settle nods, offering a soft and reassuring smile toward the recovering officer.

Her head perked up when Ben asked for her opinion. While she didn't have outstanding abilities like him, she had an unexplainable 6th sense. She observed Ranah. She allowed her Force bubble to envelope and whatever she was able to read, she spoke.

"I can feel her Force. It's raw, abit untrained. But due to the military training, it was kept under control. With no active duty, with the proper training, she can be a fantastic addition to the Coalition. I sense a bright future." She said, allowing her arms to rest within her sleeves. Her first time outside of her Antarian armor, she'd take advantage.

Ranah sat back down and just breathed in the serenity from this place. Somehow in ways she had never been able to explain she felt like she belonged. Not necessarily connected to nature but in reality she was as was every living being in the galaxy, but it was a truth she had yet to learn. Though his question took her back, it was not expected. What could they do for her? She thought about it long, and then voiced her answer.

I am content with my immediate need” she began “I am alive when I thought I was going to die, I’ve been treated well here, very thorough care from the staff of medical experts, I am very grateful for their hard work on my behalf and most of all I am thankful to be alive and conversing with you both” she paused here as if reflecting on something in her mind before continuing

If I could have anything my heart desired, I would ask for the knowledge that my twin sister and younger brother are safe and happy. We were separated a few years ago before we were liberated by the Galactic Alliance.” She did not wish to be reunited with them, as they had their lives and their path to follow much like she did, though to be able to hug them again would not be so bad.

She listened to what Aliclair said when asked about her potential. She was speaking of things that Ranah knew little about. Then looked back to Ben. “Ever since I was a young girl my father would always tell me that nothing just happened, that all things good and bad happen for a reason, sometimes we can see why sometimes not

She smiled and nodded “please Master Jedi , continue I will answer what I can” in this encounter she felt a weight lift from her. The weight of solitude perhaps? The not knowing her next move maybe resolving itself perhaps. She did not know for certain

On some of my missions I would have a sense of déjà vu, but I never felt like I was being watched” she admitted “And in those times sometimes I feel I can see or just know what will happen before it does, I admit that’s saved my life a time or two but it was not until my last mission that those feelings asserted themselves. Something telling me that help was coming, or when pressing me for intel and I refused something filled me giving me the strength I think to endure it” She had said as much to the shrinks and the doctors and continued “Now ever since the mission I can almost hear whispers as if some thing has awakened inside me but I do not know

Ben had an explanation and it was a simple one The Force was speaking to her, it at first felt ludicrous but it made so much sense to her. She rose as he did, and listened to his offer.

She could return to the active duty or she could go with the Jedi and see if she had a future in the Coalition as a Jedi. It was a big choice and an important one to be sure, but it was an easy one for her to make. She needed to explore this. It would be a disservice to herself and to others if she let fear lead her, she did not get to where she was by being ruled by fear. Bravery was acting in the face of fear, she would face this the same way she faced everything else in her life.

She smiled to the Jedi “I would like to go with you to Koda Station

Ben smiled right back in return. He had not gone invading into her mind to tamper with her decision nor had he gone in and taken a minute of her attention to see her answers before she gave them. Her answer was a genuine pleasure to him and he took her hand in both of his and shook it vigorously, he was excited. Another prospect to hopefully someday seek her real potential in the face of a Galaxy that desperately needed heroes for these times the Darkness that surrounded them all had never been so bleak of hope.

“Then it is settled.” Immediately he turned to his Apprentice. “Aliclair, if you will, please prep the Talon. I’ll go with Ranah and make sure her paperwork is settled and get her leave approved so we do not make her AWOL.” He was half joking but not, military matters revolved around accountability and being AWOL from a medical unit was not a good way to make an exit.

Before the hour was out, Ranah and Ben were marching out of the medical ward with whatever possession she had. Once aboard the YT 2000 they would take off and head off world with all speed, their destination; Koda.
