Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
"Everything is possible in the Force, Raphael."
Elaborating on nothing more than that, Blood began to make his way in the direction of the cave, and though it was a far walk, a brisk pace brought the man directly to the front of the chasm. It was deep, far and evident in harboring of life forms in side. As many times as he had gone to tame dragons in the permafrosted world in absence of the S'Kytri he once knew here, he had gotten rather good at understanding the lengths and dexterities of the work needed to ensure he had the beasts under his control. He would grant this opportunity to his Son to receive his first and only mount spawn, as they would train it together on Moraband. Of course Raphael would be doing the main heft of the training, whereas Blood would only be lending his slight guidance.
With the frozen woods behind then, Blood began his entrance within the chasm, leaping over the lip of the opening and landing in the slippery film of ice. Icecicles hung from the tops, forever frozen in a dangerous maw. The air grew still, though it still kept it's frosty bite. And through it all, Blood continued his walk through the cave, accompanied by his star pupil.
It wasn't long, a half hour at most, when the pair reached the pits of the cave. It was warmer down here, heat trapped from a source...a massive source, one that stirred just before them. The eased snores lightened in their breathing as the dragon began to move.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Raphael understood that anything seemed possible to his father but to the young man it still worried him. He liked to calculate his decisions and the odds of him successfully retrieving that egg was very low. Nevertheless, he would trust his father and follow him into this cave.
As the two made the trek through the forest, Raphael became very cold. He could see his breath out in front of him as the snow continued to fall. Constantly he cursed himself for not wearing more clothing before coming on this frozen planet.
Relieved at the sight of the cave opening, the two ventured down into the depths of this world. Moving through endless pathways it seemed, he started to feel like they were getting closer.

Raphael took up a defensive position unsure of the habits of these beasts. A frightened look came over his face as he turned to his father, hoping that he would have a solution. As the two reached the end of the pathway that led into a massive cave a massive beast came in view. He could now see with his own eyes the beasts that he had sensed just a little while ago. Their life force, a light smoke as they hibernated in the cave.
His stomach began to turn, as he felt uneasy with being in the cave filled with beasts. Within the force something began to disturb him, an anomaly that disrupted the threads of force in this cave. What seemed like a calm and serene cave was suddenly being disrupted by something. Raphael felt it in himself and it made him feel uneasy. The dragon that lay directly in front of them had an essence that began to burn hotter and hotter. The smoldering ash of its soul began to give off the same coal black smoke that the mother did. It was nearly pitch black covering its whole being, this was odd to Raphael. The force was trying to warn him of something, the beast was becoming a disturbance. As the smoldering ash quickly turned into a small flame, the beast started to twitch. Was the force trying to show him that this dragon was nearly awake?

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Blood remained undeterred, though his level of wariness spiked with the rumbles that glanced the rocks nearby with a sturdy shake. Dancing in the dark, something shuffled, weight being thrown around with a breathy hiss climaxing and echoing through the halls of this den. Blood felt the internal clock begin, timer counting against him and his prodigy. His allotted amount of time he had to work with began to spiral down an invisible hole in the situation, and that spurned the Sith Lord into acting. The temperature began to rise, and a fume of ignition lit the air with a pulse of noxious fumes. The domination of the heat was manipulated by the Wolf as he took the energy of fractioned air molecules and crafted a lightsource out of it. With the light, his own controlled flame of luminescent fire, he could see better the threat before him and his Son; a shaded silver dragon, a mother in fact, standing and waking from her hibernation, a dark and gunmetal grey egg beneath her hinds as she shook herself awake. Finally aware of the intruders, she inhaled her heave of oxygen, a dark red and ember brewing deep in her gullet as she prepared to expel the strange men away in a crisp.
However, as swift as she was, the Sith Lord too was quick. His eyes made direct contact with those slitted irises of the feme draco, and immediately the link was set. Deep within the contorted and controlled specter of energy he had reserved, Blood reached a domineering hand from his mind out, and grappled the mind of their current opponent. The mind of the mother dragon was a stiff but old vessel. The potent mass of his might began to forcefully bent the fringes of her monsterous mind, becoming a burden against her will. His other gloved hand reached out and held a searing grasp on the energy welled deep within her throat, the fires she was preparing to spew being taken control of by the Dragon Tamer. It was a trying trial for himself, but as much mastery he had acquired over this feat, taming animals was a secondary nature to him. The fires within one hand seared as they fought his hand's control, and the other hand peeled further and further into the free will of the dragoness before them.
A fight of wills, something indeed cautious and beautiful to behold.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Darkness wasnโt a foreign concept to the young acolyte, most instances he would prefer it. He would rather work in the shadows, striking from a position that most donโt see coming instead of facing something head on. This instance though was a completely different concept to him, darkness with beasts ten times his size. Knowing the beasts lived in this darkness and the two were invaders of their territory made him feel uneasy.
Watching his father set in motion his plan made him feel a little more comfortable situation. His father knew what he was doing; at least the young acolyte hoped he did while the beast began to stir. Manipulation of a flame allowed the two to be able to see what shifted before them. Raphael was grateful his father was able to provide them with a way to see but it revealed a daunting task.
A small flicker of light could be seen reflecting off of his silver irises. The silver tone quickly reflected a larger source of light as the mother dragon stood before them. She wanted the two gone and she wanted them gone now, surely they were about to be burnt to a crisp. Raphaelโs eyes were firmly set down the beastโs throat, revealing many teeth that could tear the two apart.
His heart continued to thump against his chest as his father broke his trance with the beast. A hand reached out to the beast, which seemed to calm it. Raphael looked at Blood in amazement as he reached out with the other hand to calm the flame developing within the mother. It seemed as if the dragon was beginning to bend to his fatherโs will, truly a sight to see.
As the struggle continued between the two, Raphael inched himself closer to the slate colored egg. He wanted to make it easier on his father, who was attempting to do something magnificent. The young man had taken a few steps closer but was hesitant to fully commit to snatching the sizeable egg. Unsure how much control over the beast he had, Raphael didnโt want to move anymore unless given further command from his master. Surely his fatherโs will was greater than the mother dragons, and once he was ready the young man would leap at the chance to snatch the egg and leave.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
With the slightly more intricate bond he shared with Raphael, Blood felt the difference in thoughts swim through each varied emotional swap. A leverage had been broken, and it was the decrease on anxiety and an increase of intent. His Son was attempting to accomplish something, but as the seconds passed tersely by, Blood felt adrenaline spike between the link of both he and the Silver One.
He wouldn't dare rip his eyes from the connection he indented between he and the dragon, not risking losing that forged link and endangering them worse than what they were - but he somehow felt he and his spawn were on the same page.
And that was thievery.
Blood kept his influence deeply kneaded within the recesses of the dragon, and with every attempted menta shake she gave, it only allowed more wiggle room for him to intrude further. It was almost soft, his grasp on her. Soft, persistent, but gentle. Something akin to a lover's touch, a caress that would not let you leave, but held no malicious reason for being there. He was in the process of convincing her that they werent anything harmful, most especially him. He draped the Dragon's mind in an illusion, an painted fiction of her being well off, perfectly in harmony with the planet, with life itself, and with it, not having her egg. It was a war of wills as her maternal nature strived to fight back, yet his hold was only increasing over her with every attempt she had made.
Time was being bought, and instead of letting it pass by without use, Blood made sure he kept her reptilian irises on him. He did indeed hope Raphael was going to take the oppertunity and di what he had to do. Soemthing warm and extremely heated slid from the inside of the Wolf's right nostril, and with a quick inhale, he recognized the coppery scent; blood. The delicious sign of his taxing strain.
Intertwined in space and time, the cladestine bind of his hard work.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Still unsure of what to do, Raphael contemplated on how to get through this situation. One moment his mind would be all for getting the task at hand done and then the next his basic nature would warn him of the possible effects. The young student was having a mental battle with himself as he had to go toe to toe with such a powerful feeling in fear. He was fearful of his inevitable death if he were to rush in there at the wrong time, only to be torn apart by the massive beast. This took a toll on the young man mentally, usually very calculated in dangerous situations such as this. He usually found himself making the right decision, but what if this was the wrong one? It would cost not only his life but possibly his fathers as well.
Trusting his instincts and fighting fear itself Raphael inched himself closer to the mother dragon. The charcoal egg lay right under the gut of its mother, usually a very protected position. The egg was bigger than most, like none he had seen before in his life, but he knew if he got his hands on it that he had to hold on tightly and not let it drop.
Adrenaline rushing through his body he moved closer to his target. Raphael stood directly underneath the beast as its gaze was focused on his father, its breathing shook the ground of the cave. He wanted to reach up and feel the beast for himself, but that might break the concentrated link with Blood.
Only a couple more feet away stood Raphael from the baby dragon. He looked over at his father to give him a sign of acknowledgement that he was going all in at this moment. Raphael then noticed a trickle of blood running out of his fatherโs nostril, he might be struggling to keep the beast in check. He had to get that egg and he had to do it now or the calm mother dragon could quickly turn into something they didnโt want to be near.
Raphael hustled over to the egg, trying his best to get a good grip on it. He tucked it within his arm, holding it very tightly to his body. Raphael felt a stronger sensation of adrenaline run through his body as he took off from the spot the egg had been. Sprinting towards the exit of the cave, he hoped his father would soon follow; he didnโt want to be stuck down here anymore.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Another lesson his prodigy had picked up and began to familiarize himself with - domination. Raphael had seemed to come to realize that standing there and doing nothing would result in nothing, and was prompted to take action. Silently, Blood commended the youth as he kept his mind focused on the dragoness.
It was clear the difference in tension between the two as it heightened on the pupil's end up until the egg was taken and removed from the situation. The dragon he was so intently focused on was completely unaware of the removal, as her own stare was locked with her adversary's. It was clear she was beginning to lose this battle faster, and it was only confirmed her failure once Raphael had quickly escaped with the treasure. And Blood was intent on ensuring his own hide was covered once he desired it to be, so within the efficient manner, he switched the connection he shared with the dragon to something less loving.
Blood kept mindful of his Son's presence, feeling the lightening of pressure as the distance between the two was increased. The band was stretched, further and further away, thinning, and Blood retracted all positive pull from the dragon. The loss of her egg proved too much for the mother, and Blood found he didn't have enough time to weave the ample amounts of webs he needed for this bond to last until he left the cave. So he had to pull a more sinister card, something he indefinitely hoped worked.

Blood sucked in an intense breath, one so incredulously deep it hurt the rims of his breastbone. Within it, he pulled apart the situation much more complexly than he could initially visualize it, in the beginning. Closing his eyes, he felt the deep wrath and furious worry of the mother dragon, something so deeply rooted in her instinct, something do directly coined to her natural function, that he simply let go of whatever he shared with her. In a turmoil, the emotions spilled forth like a virile cup of acid and gasoline. The best functional liquids he could work with. These two toxic substances provided the Wolf with something to engulf. The acid bred pain, the dragon's heartbreaking loss shattering stiff threads of crumbling apathetic prowess. The thrum of agony rose into a screech of shredded control, and his functions whirled into a blend with the remaining flushes of paranoia from her aura, and with the mix came the gasoline. In the Force, this concoction was fueled with Dark Side lashing out from within the entombed and smashed remains of his control. Gasoline. And the dark inferno within him sipped that potion of destruction, and was given life. Blood felt the empowerment surging through him as he coaxed the dragon's loss. Let her feel distraught, let her feel misery. Let her loss consume her in a fit of destructive agony...it only led him to be stronger...
and stronger.
He felt the mass of venom spread it's thick and congealing touch throughout each vein, every ligament and muscle compelling the cells to do better, to be faster, to be inhumanly powerful. The cells themselves were indulged in this dream the Dark Side hexed on them, obeying and fueling Blood with only more health and vigor. Oxygen chased adrenaline, and the muscles kept their limber and lean complex, atomic power working hand in hand with that of the Force. The channeling was even more infused as the dragon chose to react with fury. Blood felt the unfurling ball of flames once again igniting in the tunnel of the dragon's throat. A single hand was thrown to the vicinity of the dragon, and Blood decided to test the effects of this newfound ability.
Almost as if he was the one who curdled the noxious brew of fire in the dragon's gullet, the fires burned bright and harmless in his reach. They were being formed by the smoldered and fractionized molecules of air and heat. The moment seemed to slow as his eyes narrowed on the attacking reptilian. So indeed speed was increased, considering the dragon was more than likely not lethargic, nor afflicted with speed hindering statuses. It was his own perception, and his influence had a more dense though incomprehensible lightness to it. Almost limitless in this circumstance. And with his mental hand so deeply enveloped in this power, everything else was taken into account. His limbs felt energized, filled to almost tipping-point with endless vivacity. His physical arms felt unstoppable, and if he were to throw a punch, it were more than capable of meeting past skin restraint, more than likely smashing through meat and hitting bone. Blood felt unstoppable, unkillable, and it was all due to this dragoness losing her egg. She gave him a gift,...
her wrought emotions.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Sprinting towards the entrance of the cave Raphael began to feel the pressure of getting away from the mother dragon in time. Heart racing, his vision narrowed in on the entrance of the cave that lead to the pathway out of the darkness. It was so close he could almost feel the cool breeze rushing down the tunnel from the outside world. He began to crave that cold brisk air, as it was a less hostile environment; one without massive beasts.
As he had almost cleared his way to the exit of the cave, he heard the mother behind him. She sounded furious, raw emotions that are increased with rage boiled from deep within her. For just one moment he took his focus off of leaving the cave and focused on what was behind him. This caused the young acolyte to take a tumble towards the ground. Raphael protected the silver egg on his stomach as he managed to fall on his back after losing his footing.
Raphael then propped himself up on the rocks that protruded out behind him, he made it to the hole in the wall that led out of here. Focusing on the egg, he surveyed it to see if he did any damage. Thankfully, there were no cracks or marks on the exquisite egg.
His father then caught his gaze, what was he doing with the mother dragon? The beast looked taken over completely by blind rage, and Blood was standing strong. Something was changing; he seemed different in a way that seemed to be a surge of random power within his father. Raphael felt it though, he didnโt know what it was but his father seemed like he was about to do something extraordinary.
Raphael calmly recollected himself on top of the rocks as he wanted to be prepared if something were to happen. He wouldnโt dare interrupt what was unfolding in front of him though. Simply, he stayed back and trusted that his father knew exactly what to do in this situation.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Begin Waves of Darkness App-
Blood knew the toque he had in this instant bode him nothing but dominance over this situation, but something monstrous converged and twisted a branding deep within his chest. While he knew his powers and capabilities were fully amplified by extreme amounts, something deeply wedged inside of him wanted more, more pain, more suffering, more distress, more devastation. It craved that immense pressure from the pain radiating from the dragon before him, and strip-tease whispers beckoned the pleasure that followed suit.
'Nothing but pleasure', it chanted, over and over again. But within him, his powers were growing limited. The high that came from the Dark Side's prowess began to fade, and almost immediately a panic attempted to set within the cutthroat heart of Blood.
Too soon.
The dragon felt his influence waning over the reptilian, and again the heat surged up and over the mental grip he held in her throat. She was now on the defensive, aiming to not only keep herself alive, but to take this traitorous intruder down while she did it. Now his second hand was sent in her direction, his energy being fully channeled into this single plan; a dire and ground ideal to vex the dragoness even more, just to obtain that mesmerizing ecstasy of Dark Side power again. Taking the grip he had in her neck, Blood tightened not only his current holding of Control that he had over himself, but his Senses, as well. He needed everything he could to ensure he was fully prepared for this onslaught of power. With it came a rebind of his current stature in the Force, a fully capable and physiologically stable place to hold his Force aura intact and undeterred as he reacquainted himself with the Dark Side of the Force. As he did this, his strength in influence within the draco increased, and with it came the emotion power surge of dominion. He reveled in it, the Wolf taking the time to stroke his ego and only roll in the disgusting delicacy known as arrogance. He was the powerful one here, not this insolent dragon. If he so craved it, the entire skull of this very cavern would fall at his command, and smatter the flesh and bone of this loitering sack across the jagged edges of it's own ribs. This dragon was nothing, absolutely nothing, and he was what the clouds, stars, and heavens themselves, would kneel to.
His confidence and egocentric method blazed a serration of Dark Side energy as it coaxed his indignation. With it, he inhaled the waterfall of torment from the dragon, and kneaded it. Like motions of an upturned wave, his hands began a process of this kneading, being accented by the deafening warning roar the draco screamed his way. With it arose a new sense; something horrid and despicably wondrous swelling within him. This was the Dark Side returning to his call, refilling him as a stream to parched lips. Indescribable was the surge of glee and delight that skittered and swam through Blood in this moment, and further he thrust himself into the pyres of this mania. Faster and faster did his hands wave back and forth, and as the speed of his body was already excelled, his motions were a blur.
The sickness of the Dark Side plastered something enchanting in Blood's head, and with it came urges. Urges to taste, see and feel what true misery he could inflict on this unsuspecting creature. His control within her throat slithered up, through the nervous system, and snaked around the folds of her own brain. It was unbarred, unprotected, and he had full intent to savor this next part. Every ounce of sardonic glee he illustrated on his face was poured into his outreached control over her. He glued his serpentine wrap over her mind, and within it, he delved. Every neuron, electromagnetic pulse firing senses of concern, panic, worry, stress, fear, discrimination and fury, every shot had a specific taste and feel to it, shooting off various brights of light. It was almost hypnotic, but the lightshow wasn't enough for him.
Finally in conjoined power and unity with the Dark Side of the Force, Blood heaved a massive effort into his Control, and spilled a bit of it into his Alteration skills. He increased the pressure on her nerves, a pressure gravity itself would envy. It was debilitating, and it's impacts were tremendous. His chest rose and fell heavily with the deep breathing he was pulling and expelling from this tenacious calling, but it was one he heeded on his own. A stronger push of his hands illustrated more clearly the intense strain he imposed on this dragon, this flailing beast that was too fearful to approach and maim him, but was caught in the corner of a dead end. The roof of the cave shook, the walls thrumming and ratting snow dust and pebbles as not only her terrific roars shook her home, but something weighing so massively on her skull. It was something she could fight back against, and she panicked even more. This only added fuel to Blood's fire and gave him more to work with. The more stressed and deranged she was, the less effort he would need to inflict his merciless wrath upon her.
Pulling his hands away, he shoved them forward again, his motions over and over again blending into one dance. It was almost as if he were making contractions in the Force itself as he proceeded to torture this dragon. She wouldn't kneel until he had fully destroyed her will, and the Dark Side was the only principle to do this with. As he heaved another bout of power, he felt the strength begin to fade in her fight. Minutes passed full into almost an hour as he battled this reptilian. It was an awesome thing to witness, but the only gem of the moment was her submission. Though it were unintentional, as her mind had been atrociously broken, shattered beyond predatory repair, she began to give up. Her mind was growing tired, and he felt the cords she had struggled against him with, lose their taunt. The contractions slowed the less she fought, and realizing this was the easier place to be, the war found itself hazing into a fading tendril until in her collapse, it faded altogether.
The Dark Side began to lose grip within him, and in it's dying whispers to kill the dragon, his lack of choice for that option let it bleed into nonexistence. His limbs returned to their simplicity in mortality, though they were indeed shaking from the unbelievable amount of strain and duress he had tested them with. His legs too, shook, and his mind in itself was a glitching matrix of emotions and broken things. It was clear he had crossed a threshold in the Force, and whether he knew it or not, he was becoming much more comfortable with the Dark Side of the Force.
Turning and walking away from the unconscious beast's lair, he made his lethargic journey back to his Son, meeting the youth who clutch the silver prize with bleeding eyes and sickingly luminescent golden eyes.

Re: The Prodigal Son [Raphael]
Raphael watched as his father stripped the gigantic beast of all of her will, slowly breaking her down. The struggle between the two seemed intense as they continued to wage a mental war. A feat such as this was something incredible to be accomplished on a lesser being, but performing whatever this was on the mother dragon was astonishing. The young man was truly proud in this moment, he had never seen his father in this light before, or rather this darkness. This moment gave the acolyte something to strive for, a position to live up to.
Watching as his father weaved the last of the dragonessโs life force from her, something seemed to change. Blood began to look weaker than moments before and his posture worsened. Collapsing in a loud thunderous echo, the beast laid in front of them. Was she finally dead? Or did his father simply render her incapable of resisting the pairโs exit of the cave?
Sluggishly, his father wandered back to young Raphael. The young man set down the silver egg on the ground propped up on the rock to meet his master. Raphael offered a shoulder to rest on if the mountain that is his father needed it. He had just witnessed the impossible from this man; surely he would require some rest.
โLets leave this darknessโ Raphael said as he let out a sigh of relief.
Raphael would gather the egg before they departed; he wouldnโt let the unborn dragon out of his silver gaze for a while, they worked too hard to lose it.
